The difference between Accounts and Calenders?

When you select overview on iCal Server in ServerAdmin you get a couple of values.
I wonder what the difference is between the number of Accounts and the number of Calenders.
I can reproduce the number of calenders by looking into the _uid_ directory but I can't figure out where this overview gets it's number for the accounts. This number does not equals the number of accounts I have present in WGM...
The idea I came up with at the moment is that this is just a little bug and that it adds the account value when you add an account in WGM but it does not subtract it when you delete an account.
Is my assumption correct or is there someone who actually knows why there is such a difference.

  • What is the difference between PUSH and FETCH

I am a little confused. I use my iphone for both my personal POP email accounts and my business exchange account. I am trying to save as much battery as I can so I turned off push and set everything to manual...but now when I try and get may mail....it either says "connecting" or "checking for new mail" at the bottom of the screen and nothing happens from there.
What is the best way to setup this situation for the most battery life? I don't need it to automatically download emails just when I open the email accout would be nice.
I also noticed that when I delete an email from my iphone on my exchange account, it also deletes is on my desktop at work...I need to turn this off...is it possible?

    Hi maxum25,
The difference between push and fetch is that:
When using push, the server sends a signal to the iphone and lets it know that an email is coming its direction. Kind of like receiving a call. The iphone does not need to do anything except receive the email.
When using fetch, the iphone has to wake up every so often and send a request to the server to see if there is any new email waiting for it on the server to download. This takes more time because the iphone sends a request, the server says yes there is some, the iphone says ok give me the new email.
Now the exchange email uses active sync to keep all changes on the exchange server and mobile device in sync. This is automatic and is the nature of exchange and active sync. In order to keep this from happening you would need to talk to your IT dept. and see if they have an imap or pop alternative. Even using imap reflects the changes back to the server.
    Hope this helps.

  • What's the difference between jsp and jsf?

who can tell me what's the difference between jsp and jsf?
I'm puzzled when I found some of the technology in jsp is so similar to the ones in jsp( javaserver page)

    Hi,
Find the difference between JSP and JSF
    1. A developer has more control with JSP, but (should) get easier development with JSF
    2. Event handling is done differently in JSP (HTTP) and JSF (Java)
    3. The UI is designed differently (or should be at least) with JSP (markup) and JSF (components).
    4. The end product should also be defined differently - JSP page versus a JSF application.
Is this the only thing that is need to make a decision for either or? Probably not. There are other pieces that need to be taken in account when deciding which technology to use - tools support, enough components, type of application etc.... At this point there are not enough JSF components (although there are some interesting projects underway - Ajaxfaces, Myfaces, ADF Faces, and WebChart 3d) and enterprise tools support is still limited to a few tools vendor. Looking at our ADF Faces components they are currently available as early access (not production) and demands for these components are stacking up, literally, outside my office doorstep. Although I would love to make them production - now! - it is not a viable solution since we are still checking features and fixing critical bugs.
All this combined - not enough enterprise level components in production, lacking tools support etc... - leave customers in a vacuum where the decision is either to continue with JSP, since it is mature and has a wide developer base, or move forward with JSF not sure if the support, or the developers will be there. This is particularly sensitive to customers that need to get started now and be production by summer.
If you are in this vacuum here are some key points promoting JSF:
    1. Fundamental unit is the Component
    2. Built in event and state management
    3. Component sets can be provided by any vendor
    4. Closer to ASP.Net or Swing development
    5. Choice of UI technology
    6. Scale up (rich clients)
    7. Scale down (mobile devices)
    8. Built into J2EE containers in J2EE 5.0 (tentative)

  • Can any one tell me the difference between VK11 and MR21

    Hi Folks,
I have changed price of a material using VK12.
When I go to the transaction MR21, it is still showing the old price.
Can any one help what is the difference between VK11 and MR21.
And i which scenarios these two were used?
    Thanks in Advance
    Gopi Krishna

    Hii,
VK11: This is price master record to determine the sale price or discounts or freight or taxes which we going to charge to the final customer.  Through this transaction we will determine the price automatically either in sales or billing document.  These transaction is only applicable for sales & distribution module for determining the pricing for customers.
The price determined through this we use in revenue realisation.
MR21: Through this trnsaction Finance or Cost users upload the cost of the material.  The cost is
Standard Cost or Moving average cost.
Cost= Raw Material CostProcessing Cost(product process cost )Overheads(employee salaries)
This cost is maintained at each material master in accounting view either standard cost or moving average cost.
These cost is determined for every material movement within the company.
Example: Production, transfer posting, goods issue- system post the quantity and at the same time system create an inventory entry i.e accounting entry for the transaction.  In this accounting entries, system consider the values from material master for generating accounting entry.
If you upload production for 10 MT of material A and in material master if kept the cost of the material as 1000 then the accounting entry in production time as
                  Finish Goods Dr          10000
To Cost of Production Cr        10000
These cost also determined sales transaction through VPRS condition type.
    Rewards if it helps

  • What is the difference between "Replace" and "Replace by Security"

    Hi all,
I am implementing FDM to Load data to HFM, I set them up with a proper security on the shared service and FDM. When I load data to HFM from FDM, there are 4 options to load data. (Replace, Merge, Accumulate, Replace by Security)
    A document states that
Replace: Clears all account values from the target application, and replaces that the data in the application with the data in the load file.
Replace by Security: Loads data to the target application only for members to which you have access.
However, even if I used “Replace”, it worked with security which I set.
Does anyone know what the difference between “Replace” and “Replace by Security”?
Is there any way that FDM works without security?
    Thanks in advance
    taku

The fact both methods are producing the same results will either be coincidence or perhaps because you are mis-interpreting the difference between the 2. When you run a Replace HFM will clear out all data based on the combination of Scenario, Year, Period, Entity and Value dimensions it does not care if you have set up security classes which may restrict access to any of the other dimensions i.e. Account, Custom1 thru 4. When you use Replace By Security HFM will still clear on the original criteria but it will respect security class restrictions set up on the other dimensions e.g. if you are assigned to a security class which is restricted to accessing only a certain subset of accounts, HFM will not clear data fro the accounts you don't have access to when you use Replace By Security

  • What is the difference between Campaign and Trade Promotion?

    hi experts,
What is the difference between Campaign and Trade Promotion?
    regards,
    babu

    Hi,
Campaign serve operative marketing planning. They describe actions that are carried out, for example mailing actions, product promotions, and telemarketing. Crieria such as target groups, products, documents, people responsible, and the budget are defined in the campaign for these activities.
Campaign are basically used for operative marketing planning and execution.
Trade Promotions are Marketing activity used by industries that sell into the retail channel or through brokers or wholesalers. A trade promotion takes place within a specific time period and aims to increase brand capital, brand awareness, and market share. It is also used to increase sales volume or to launch new products or product lines.
Trade promotions are structurally similar to other marketing objects, except that trade promotions are targeted at a key account.
A trade promotion has a header that provides overview information about the trade promotion, such as the intended key account, the product planning basis, the trade promotion objective, funds plan details, and trade promotion status.
Assignment blocks contain specific information pertaining to, for example, trade promotion dates, products, and causals.

6 rows selected. Both inserting insert the same records then whats the difference between ALL and FIRST clause in multi insert DML
    Khurram Siddiqui
    [email protected]

    Hello
    From the docs:
    ALL
If you specify ALL, then Oracle evaluates each WHEN clause regardless of the results of the evaluation of any other WHEN clause. For each WHEN clause whose condition evaluates to true, Oracle executes the corresponding INTO clause list.
    FIRST
If you specify FIRST, then Oracle evaluates each WHEN clause in the order in which it appears in the statement. For the first WHEN clause that evaluates to true, Oracle executes the corresponding INTO clause and skips subsequent WHEN clauses for the given row.
    ELSE clause
For a given row, if no WHEN clause evaluates to true:
    * If you have specified an ELSE clause, then Oracle executes the INTO clause list associated with the ELSE clause.
    * If you did not specify an else clause, then Oracle takes no action for that row.
    See Also:
    "Multitable Inserts: Examples"
    Restrictions on Multitable Inserts
    * You can perform multitable inserts only on tables, not on views or materialized views.
    * You cannot perform a multitable insert into a remote table.
    * You cannot specify a table collection expression when performing a multitable insert.
    * In a multitable insert, all of the insert_into_clauses cannot combine to specify more than 999 target columns.
    * Multitable inserts are not parallelized in a Real Application Clusters environment, or if any target table is index organized, or if any target table has a bitmap index defined on it.
    * Plan stability is not supported for multitable insert statements.
    * The subquery of the multitable insert statement cannot use a sequence.
So given this the following example shows the difference:
SQL> CREATE TABLE dt_test_insert_base as select rownum id from dba_objects where rownum <=20
      2  /
    Table created.
SQL> CREATE TABLE dt_test_insert_1 (id number)

  • I would like to know the difference between OEL and RHEL

I would like to know the difference between OEL and RHEL, are they same?
If I test any application on RHEL, will it work on OEL too.
    Thanks
    Edited by: user10685113 on 08-Aug-2012 05:35

The name OEL as such is not used anymore, since the product was renamed from Oracle Enterprise Linux to Oracle Linux with the release of version 5.5 in September 2010.
The main technical difference between Oracle Linux and RHEL is that Oracle Linux ships with an Oracle exclusive and optimized Oracle UEK kernel. It does however still install and provide the original and older RHEL kernel for fallback.
As of Oracle Linux 5.6, the Oracle UEK kernel is the default kernel. The current latest version of Oracle Linux 6.3 uses the Oracle UEK2 kernel, which is based on the Linux 3 kernel (2.6.39).
Oracle Linux is binary compatible with RHEL.
Oracle Linux has several advantages over RHEL, in particular if you plan to use it to install Oracle products.
    • The same kernel UEK and UEK2 versions are available for Oracle Linux 5.x and 6.x
You do not necessarily need to perform a complete and unsupported system upgrade to use a newer kernel version and drivers.
    • Oracle Pubilc YUM
Oracle provides a public yum repository for installing software packages including the latest patches. RHEL does not and requires a paid subscription for online access.
    • Oracle specific drivers and software
Oracle Linux provides additional software and kernel drivers, for Oracle clustering, Dtrace, BtrFS and ASM, which is not available for RHEL 6.
Oracle Linux provides additional packages which trigger the automatic installation of system software prerequisites, including kernel parameters and oracle account setup to install Oracle Database:
    oracle-validated (Oracle Linux 5)
    oracle-rdbms-server-11gR2-preinstall (Oracle Linux 6)
And last not least you have just one vendor and support requirement for Oracle products.
    Have you checked the Internet:

  • What is the difference between 651 and 653 movement types

    Hi
What is the difference between 651 and 653 movement types
    Points will be rewarded
    Regards
    Suddu

    Hi,
Whenever goods movment happens following things are going on in the background:
A material document is generated, which is used as proof of the movement and as a source of information for any other applications involved.
If the movement is relevant for Financial Accounting, one or more accounting documents are generated.
The stock quantities of the material are updated.
The stock values in the material master record are updated, as are the stock and consumption accounts.
    651 - two steps - with a transfer posting using 453
653 - one steps - direct post to unrestricted used
*Using movement type 651, you post returns from a customer with a return delivery in Shipping to blocked stock returns.
Using 653 movement type, you post returns from the customer with returns delivery via Shipping directly to the valuated stock.
    <b>Reward if helpful.</b>
    Thanks

  • What is the Difference between Consolidation and Aggregation

    Hi Masters
What is the difference between Consolidation and Aggregation? i think both are same, what is the exact difference in-terms of HFM and Essbase?
    regards

The differences lies in the mechanism used to calculate and store the value. Dynamic members such as parent accounts or customs, derived views, parent periods, or <Total> members in the value dimension are performed on the fly in the HFM app server's memory without any discrete action on the user or adminisrator's part. These are aggregations in this context, and are distinct from amounts that are calculated and then stored in the HFM database which are either the result of direct data entry (from data loads or journals) or calculated amounts resulting from HFM's rules. "Consolidation" in your question would be one of the stored, calculated amounts in HFM.

What is the difference between TCP and UDP

The difference between TCP and UDP is that UDP throws datagram packets over the wire not concerned whether it arrives at its destination or not. TCP attempts to facilitate the notion of a connection by requiring an acknowledgement by the recipient and continually resending the packets until it receives the acknowledgement or gets a timeout. In a way TCP can be thought of as a layer over UDP but it's more than that. A good analogy is the beginning of the school day vs the end of the school day. In the beginning children enter school in a line and in an orderly fashion. Each child is accounted for. Each child has a defined classroom destination. Likewise TCP packets are sequenced, accounted for, and have a certain destination. At the end of the day all the kids pour out of the building randomly with no regard of whether their buddies are on detention or not. Any particular kid could be heading straight home or to the mall and no accounting is taken. In the same way UPD packets are dispersed from the sender without regard for order. Any packet to make a pit stop at a particular router on the network and no accounting is done to ensure it makes it all the way to the recipient.

  • What is the differences between Indian and US Payroll..??

    Dear Friends,
Please let me know what is the differences between Indian and US Payroll..?? And also please mention points how to configure posting of payroll. i mean how exactly HR consultant interact with FICO team for payments of employees.
    Regards
    Ahmed.

    Ahmed,
A big difference is probably payroll taxes in the US. In order to configure the system to accumulate the correct taxable wages, you have to configure the tax models. In order to actually compute the taxes, you have to use third party software from BSI (Business Software Inc) that is connected to the system.  BSI must also be configured.
Some of the taxes are expenses (because they are not deducted from the employees) for the organization and some are liabilities, as they are deducted from the employee. The users will be able to tell you how to account for each type of tax.
    Regards,
    Howard
