Can we change the ABAP QUERY exists in Global area
Hi All,
I have a requirement to add new column in the ABAP query in layout for that I am changing a ABAP query ME80FN which is calling infoset /SAPQUERY/ME80FN defined in the global area ( Environment->query areas->global area).
1) Can I change this infoset and query
or
2) Do I need to follow any other steps.
If I change the existing query in DEV can I transport this to production.
Please clarify.
Thanks,
JwalaYes. We can change the background of an input field. The way you do this is by editing the theme that webdynpro application uses. To edit the theme, you will need to install NWDS PLUS the theme edit plugin (Available for download from SAP).
Once you have edited the theme, you will need to upload your theme back to application server. You can use the program : BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS to do this.
Bydefault, the theme used by webdynpro applications is :
/SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/nw5/themes/sap_tradeshow
You can apply another theme by calling the webdynpro application with a theme parameter. For example, if my webdynpro application name is "zgopaltest", then
<i><b>http://<server>:port/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zgopaltest?SAP-EP-THEMEROOT=/SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/nw5/themes/sap_tradeshow</b></i>
will apply the sap_tradeshow theme.
Likewise, you can apply diffrent theme. There is another theme that SAP provides. Its called : sap_hcb. Hence, you can apply the theme to the above application by:
<i><b>http://<server>:port/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zgopaltest?SAP-EP-THEMEROOT=/SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/nw5/themes/sap_hcb</b></i> -
How to view the sql query?
hi,
how to view the sql query formed from the xml structure in the receiver jdbc? You can view SAP Note at
http://service.sap.com/notes
But you require SMP login ID for this which you should get from your company. The content of the notes are as follows:
Reason and Prerequisites
You are looking for additional parameter settings. There are two possible reasons why a feature is available via the "additional parameters" table in the "advanced mode" section of the configuration, but not as documented parameter in the configuration UI itself:
Category 1: The parameter has been introduced for a patch or a SP upgrade where no UI upgrade and/or documentation upgrade was possible. In this case, the parameter will be moved to the UI and the documentation as soon as possible. The parameter in the "additional parameters" table will be deprecated after this move, but still be working. The parameter belongs to the supported adapter functionality and can be used in all, also productive, scenarios.
Category 2. The parameter has been introduced for testing purposes, proof-of-concept scenarios, as workaround or as pre-released functionality. In this case, the parameter may or may not be moved to the UI and documentation, and the functionality may be changed, replaced or removed. For this parameter category there is no guaranteed support and usage in productive scenarios is not supported.
When you want to use a parameter documented here, please be aware to which category it belongs!
Solution
The following list shows all available parameters of category 1 or 2. Please note:
Parameter names are always case-sensitive! Parameter values may be case-sensitive, this is documented for each parameter.
Parameter names and values as documented below must be used always without quotaton marks ("), if not explicitly stated otherwise.
The default value of a parameter is always chosen that it does not change the standard functionality
JDBC Receiver Adapter Parameters
1. Parameter name: "logSQLStatement"
Parameter type: boolean
Parameter value: true for any string value, false only for empty string
Parameter value default: false (empty String)
Available with: SP9
Category: 2
Description:
When implementing a scenario with the JDBC receiver adapter, it may be helpful to see which SQL statement is generated by the JDBC adapter from the XI message content for error analysis. Before SP9, this can only be found in the trace of the JDBC adapter if trace level DEBUG is activated. With SP9, the generated SQL statement will be shown in the details page (audit protocol) of the message monitor for each message directly.
This should be used only during the test phase and not in productive scenarios.

How to change the standard query "Create a Master Agreement" by a custom one
Hello Sourcing CLM experts,
I would need to replace the standard query displayed when the user tries to create a Master Agreement by a custom query to filter the MA types according to some criteria:
According to this post: Re: Create security profile for a document template in SAP Sourcing, I've tried to achieve it by doing the following steps:
Create a new query as a copy of exsiting query FCI-ContractTypes
Modify query group FCI-ContractTypesBP to include my custom query instead of the standard one to only list the MAType "Standard Master Agreement"
Following you can see the change done into the query group FCI-ContractTypesBP:
However, standard query has not been replaced and same set of MA Types are listed.
Therefore, I would like to ask you:
Is it possible to do this kind of modifications? If so, which query group need to be modified?
If it is not possible, is there any other way to achieve that requirement?
Thanks in advance for your time and support!
Best regards,
IsaacHello again experts,
If this query cannot be modified, is there any option to disable button below? Or at lease, to disable the query group to avoid the listing of MA Types when it is pressed?
The reason is because we are going to set up the system in the way that only it will be possible to create Master Agreements from Template. However, if user keep on using that button he will be able to create MA from document types.
Any ideas?
Thanks again and best regards,

RWI 00200 Error while scheduling the Bex Query based Webi report

Error:RWI 00200
We are using BO XI 4.0 Sp05.
Please adviseHi,
I am on BO 4.0 SP05 Patch 6. Webi reports are just showing processing but not giving results. When I try to create new report it is throwing java security error.
Tried applet patch upgrade(From link : https://websmp207.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000902752013E) for webi certificate but didn't help.
Please suggest what could be done.

Hi,
What is the equivalent selection in BI7? (Following BW 3.5 How to...Set up BW Statistics)
I am trying to install BW statistics and all the good things that come with it for BI7. Following the instructions in a document that I was directed to on this site, in SBIW, I installed and replicated all the datasource in under TCT tree (Technical content)
The instruction is for versions prior to BI7 and I had to make modifications as I go.
Now, this instruction direct me to go to:
rsa1, Bi Content (left) and then InfoProviders by InfoAreas and select all InfoProviders for the InfoAreas BW Statistics and BW Metadata under the node Technical Content.
1.
In BI7, there is no BW Statistics and BW Metadata infoareas under Technical Content if I follow the directions strictly.
What is the equivalent of this in BI7?
2.
In the instructions, the author continues to collect these InfoAreas from under Technical Content:
BW Data Slice
BW Features characteristics
BW Metadata
BW Statistics
In BI7, do we need exactly these? Or, now different? Should I just transfer all the infoareas under Technical Content? What is the disadvantage of collecting a ALL?
ThanksThanks for the link and i believe it will come in handing.
Yet, it does not have the step by step installation information on page 46 of this link:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c8c4d794-0501-0010-a693-918a17e663cc
Do you have the BI7 version of this link?
Also, ssame stewise info is on page 4 of this:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/5401ab90-0201-0010-b394-99ffdb15235b
If you have the BI7 version of this link also, it will answer my question.

Creating a where clause in the LOV query box
Hi guys is any able to help me with this one
i have a page in my app where there is a LOV drop down now the values for this drop down comes from a table that looks like this
users_for _form_TBL
E_MAIL
Vendor
[email protected]
oracle
[email protected]
sap
[email protected]
IBM
[email protected]
Oracle
[email protected]
intergraph
So my syntax for the LOV i mentioned looks like this
select VENDOR as display_value, VENDOR as return_value
from form_user_tab where E_MAIL = :APP_USER
order by 1 ;
so if [email protected] logs onto the app and has to make a selection on the LOV it would only display the vendors relative to his E_MAIL like oracle ,sap, IBM then he hits the submit button on the page then the vendor that he selected is inserted into another table .What i did on the insert table was create a trigger that after a vendor is inserted the trigger inserts a 1 into a column called assessed .
What i did after this was add a select in the where clause of the LOV so that it would check in the insert table if that vendor had been chosen before and not display it again to be selected my syntax the second time around in the SQL query box was
select VENDOR as display_value, VENDOR as return_value
from users_for _form_TBL where E_MAIL = :APP_USER
and (select 'vendor' , 'ASSESSD' from inserted _tbl_imp is null);
order by 1 ;
But im getting an error any ideas guys .Thank youHay man thanks for that info on the Tom Kyte Blog
--(the code you gave me )
select
u.vendor display_value
, u.vendor return_value
from
users_for_form_tbl u
where
u.e_mail = :app_user
and not exists (select null from inserted_tbl_imp i where u.vendor = i.vendor)
order by
u.vendor
--(After the error i tried )Then when i got the error i try'd using 'or exists' like this
--(code)
where
u.e_mail = :app_user
and not exists (select null from inserted_tbl_imp i where u.vendor = i.vendor)
or exists (select null from inserted_tbl_imp i where u.vendor = i.vendor)
order by
u.vendor
But the all the vendors that where in the same in the insert table came up in the drop down list example is oracle was assessed before then only oracle would appear in the drop down list and if it was assessed 3 times it would come up 3 times
--Then i tried to select where 'Assessed' is null ('Assessed' is a column in the insert table which i created a trigger on to insert 1 in the 'ASSESSED' column when a vendor is begin assessed )
--(code)
where
u.e_mail = :app_user
and not exists (select 'ASSESSED' from inserted_tbl_imp i where 'ASSESSED' is null )
order by
u.vendor
This try didnt return any vendors at all
--Then i tried distinct
--(code)
where
u.e_mail = :app_user
and not exists (select distinct 'VENDOR', from inserted_tbl_imp i where u.vendor = i.vendor)
order by
u.vendor
This gave me a LOV ERROR
This is what i have tried so far there where others syntax's i tried last night as well but most of them came back as errors . Thanks again for you time and help fac586 -
How to view the SQL statement generated during execution of the BW Query?
Dear Experts,
I am trying to retrieve data in a SAP BW Query from a Non-SAP system.
I think if I am able to see the complete SQL statement that was generated when I executed the BW Query, I may be able to use it to retrieve the data.
Do you know how and where I can see the SQL statement of a BW Query's SQL statement?
I tried RSRT options to execute the Query but still could not find the SQL statement.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Shunhui.hi
goto rsrt
give your query name
select execute + debug option
in the debug option under data manager check the check box "display SQL/BIA query

E2E RCA - The requested query / does not exist on the current server
Hi All,
The RCA for managed system is configured successfully and we are getting EWA for JAVA also.
But when i try to look at the statistics through Workload Analysis it gives error "The requested query / does not exist on the current server" and "unknown or deleted query".
I again tried to run CCMSBI_SETUP_E2E report but the problem STILL persists.
Please let me know what are the other methods i shall try.
Thanks,
RohanHi,
Our solution manager is in EHP1 SP23 and BI content is on 704 SP05.
Firstly the BI was configured in 001 client, we changed it to production client and activated the source system as mentioned in SOLMAN_SETP -> Basic configuration.
Later i found out the there are no queries. I already told to update the BI content and SAP BW patch to SP06.
Do you think it will work?
Thanks and regards,

Crystal Report on BW BEx Query via MDX in SAP Portal
Hi!
We need to display a CR in the Portal. The CR is based on a MDx BW Query. To create and display the report is no problem. Even saving back to BW is working fine.
But how do we get this CR displayed in the EP?
Thanks in advance
JörnHi,
Should only the BO SAP Integration Kit iViews / URL iViews be used and are the Crystal Report iViews (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/36/d4a94076b63713e10000000a155106/frameset.htm) obsolete?
Yes as the Crystal Report iView are based on an older version
If we export the Crystal reports to SAP BW, is it possible to call them with BEx iViews like the xCelsius reports? (Like with DASHBOARD=<report name> for xCelsius)
From where can we get the Crystal Report ID, if we export them to SAP BW?
You should use the BusinessObjects Integration Kit iView template for Crystal REports and the ID can be retrieved from the CMC
