The error in using dbms_job.submit()?

I login as a normal user, execute a pl/sql block as follows and succeed to create a job.

But after a hour I execute the code again, and return a error as follows:
-6550ORA-06550: �� 1 ��, �� 122 ��:
PLS-00103: ���ַ�� "END"����Ҫ����֮һʱ��
:= . ( % ;
��� ";" ���滻Ϊ "END" �����
Who can tell why? Thanks.

DBMS_JOB can only execute complete PL/SQL programs. You can run anonymous blocks, like this:

next_date => sysdate + (1/1000),
interval => 'sysdate+1/24');

end;However, you will never see any output from this job. Jobs run in a recursive session, so there is no client to which DBMS_OUTPUT can write. However, you can see whether it ran by checking in the USER_JOBS view.

    I have Procedure that have 3 curosrs which are nested one below with in each other
    and it looks as below
    it's structure will look some thing look like this

    Here one loop is used for fetching 5000 records at time and
    Here deu_process cursor is opened ,assume it fetches one record
    Here another cursor dup_all is used for fetching the records and assume it fetched 400000 then
    Here another cursor is opened name where it fetches 10 rows
    Here logic is if first row then
    call's stored function which has following functionalty
    it compares fields such as address of outer most cursor i.e deu_process with all the address of the other rows i.e 400000 rows and return a number
    if second row then
    call's another stored function which has
    compares other fields such as first name,last name
    if third then other field
    so on ....
    up to 10
    and then finally ends
    so if i comment all the rules loop then it takes only one min to execute .If it validaes all of them if takes 14 minutes to execute .so there is problem in that 10 procedures to execute
    So i found an approach to run all the rules simultaneously using dbms_job .But i face a problem that i can't uderstand how to send the input and out put parameter's to calling procedure.And these parameter's must be passed by variable from called procedure to calling procedure
    Please suggest me what is the syntax of dbms_job with input and output parameters with variable's that must be passed as formal parameter's

    I found that there is no problem in sql statemens all of them are using proper <br>indexes execpt the folllowing statement<br>

    There are no database privileges associated with jobs. DBMS_JOB does not allow a user to touch any jobs except their own.

    For this example, a constant in DBMS_JOB indicates "no mapping" among jobs and instances, that is, jobs can be executed by any instance.
    DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT
    To submit a job to the job queue, use the following syntax:

    must be declared

    The problem is that the job cannot find the procedure
    (maybe own by an other user). The user who run the
    job is not the same as the owner of the package.
    Bye, AronYou forget the semicolon after END.
    But we don't need here begin - end Block.
    So it's OK.

    As you right mentioned, it is probably problem with owner or typo in the name of procedure.

    There is another possibility where job parameters are stored in a parameter table with the job number that can be retrieved by the job code:

  • Error when executing dbms_job.submit

    I work with ORACLE server 8.1.7 and I have executed the subprogram SUBMIT of the package dbms_job under an account which has not the DBA privilege . I have already defined a bind variable of type number in SQL*Plus, and there is a simple stored procedure, named GO, which shows only 'Hello'. Here are the codes :

    I know a mysterious ORA-1422 can indicate a problem with
    dual: what does this query return?

    support transactional approach, I mean: commit(), rollback() functions, so it reports setAutoCommit(false) as errorneous situation.

    Actually i have a requirement to update the Project definition and other Project elements like WBS, Network , Activities and Milestone. I referred several documents and came to know that 'BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN' can perform these all update tasks. But tried with that bapi but got the error. First help me please if you have any idea about this BAPI .
    Coming to BAPI_PROJECTDEF_UPDATE I got the error like Internal and exrternal keys  are not type compatible with each other.
    So , do you have any idea what would be the exact value of these two parameters.

  • Getting the error when using the ZBAPI_APPREQUEST_CREATE

    I have copied the BAPI_APPREQUEST_CREATE into Z to create the Appopriate Request (IMA1N transaction). If the input file consists 4 records, then the program is uploading the 1st and 3rd records,but giving the following error for the 2nd and 4th records.That means the program is dropping the every 2nd record.
    Distribution of MATERIAL_GRP not allowed
    Distribution of DIVISION not allowed
    Distribution of INVESTMENT_REASON not allowed
    Distribution of ENVIRONMNT_INVEST not allowed
    Can anybody tell me how to resolve this error << removed >>.

    Well it's very hard to say just based on what you are 'giving' us. Have you tried to change the order of the input records? Or did you try and process all lines individually? This way you can make sure it is not due to errors in the data itself.
    The COMMIT WORK, are you doing this after every record (including WAIT?) or only at the end after processing all records?

    Jobs are rerun - up to 16 tries, I understand - once submitted using dbms_job.submit. I can see the failures incrementing in the FAILURES columns of dba_jobs. What would be a suitable step to determine the cause of the job's failure, such as determining the associated ORA number that would have been returned had the code been submitted through sqlplus rather than as a job?

    Should of thought some before writing - the alert log and trace files contain the error codes.

    I have created an InfoPath form that submits to a Sharepoint library with custom workflow attached. The workflow is initiated when the user submits the form. An email is sent to the supervisor who clicks the "Encoded Absolute URL" and approved
    the form via the emailed form. Then, based on certain criteria the form is either emailed to the VP or the workflow is complete. The VP is sent an email and clicks the "Encoded Absolute URL" and sumbits the form via the emailed form. This is
    how I would like it to work. The reality is, the form submits and is emailed to the supervisor and the supervisor is able to approve but when the form is sumbitted I get an error. The error is "InfoPath cannot submit the form. An error occured while
    this form was being submitted. The form cannot be submitted to the following location: <URL> The file <URL> is checked out for editing by <me> The operation completed successfully." The operation did not complete successfully and it
    is not checked out. I have read in previous posts that the file is locked. Since I am in the testing faze of the project there is no one else using the form. I have waited 24 hours and the lock has not been released. Please help!!! My deadline is growing short.

    I ran into your post while having a similar issue.  I don't have a 'full' fix for you, but I noticed at least in our case if you made sure you opened the Infopath form through the browser instead of the client Infopath program (use the drop-down menu
    and open in browser) the error doesn't occur.  Hope that helps some....
