"The file you selected does not exist" when the file definitely exists?
Hi all,
Using Contribute CS3 against Contribute Publishing Server--
I have the site uploaded and set up within Contribute and
CPS. But I am experiencing consistent "The selected file
does not exist" errors whenever I try to open most
documents within the site. I click the "Choose"
button, navigate to a file -- I can see its contents in the
"Preview" box within the Choose dialog -- and
when I click "OK", I get that file does not exist
error.
This is happening with most but not all files in my site
tree. Trying to find a common denominator, it certainly does seem
that files which trigger this error are all templated files.
Non-templated files open fine.
Contribute is configured to talk to the server (IIS) via
WebDAV.. Am trying to get the sysadmins to enable FTP to see if
this behavior also shows up then, but have not been able to get
this done yet.

Issue get resolved. On page, there was one field with Item Style 'MessageLOVInput' and I had not given a source for 'External LOV' to that field.

While upgrading to CF7 from CF5, I am creating the new collections from Cf Admin. After creating, I indexed it from cf admin and then trying to search for the documents in that collection, and i am getting the following error. This was working yesterday. I have cheched the logs etc and nothing seems helpful in discovering what the issue is.
Document count is 11,745 and the size is 25,948 kb, which is not too much for a collection. I have tried to restart Cold Fusion Search Services and then ColdFusion Application services, but all in vain.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Majority of the times try creating the Collection through Cfcollection tag and then index it using cfindex tag, rather than performing these operations from the Cold Fusion 7 administrator.
The only reason I can think of which might have caused the issue is – I have thousands of documents in the collection which I indexed. So while indexing the page gets expired. So I tried again to index it. This time the collection got indexed fairly quickly and I got the response that the collection has been indexed successfully. So for the first time when I tried to index the collection, there might be some piece of code, which did not register the collection properly and hence giving this error.
When I did the same function using the code, with exactly same set of documents, it did not throw any error, even when I executed it for the first time. So the collection indexed properly.
I am not claiming that technically this theory is correct, but this seems to be the problem.
If someone knows technically what has happened at the back, please share it. For the time being, this is the fix – if you experience any problem in creating/indexing collections through cfadmin in CF7, do it thorough code. -

In iRecruitment, when Employee Candidate applies for any job, we are getting the error 'The location you entered does not exist or is flagged as inactive.' And it stops employee from applying to any jobs. We are in 11.5.10.2 version.
Appreciate any pointers on the same.

Moreover, the test and development are nothing but the clone of production at various time intervals. We have tested this on the very latest clone of production (that happened on 15th november) and verified that it doesn't popup there.
Can you give me some insights 'What could be the actual problem'?
Considering the solution given in the notes, it talks about 'Setting the default work location for the business group'? Where to set this up?

Open Directory-The user name you entered does not exist
Can someone help please? I am having some issues with my open directory server.None of the Network users can log in.The dns is ok.The ldap mapping to the server works fine.But when i access the shared home directories of the network users through workgroup manager, i notice that each user has lost the permissions to his/her home folder, the owner portion is empty.if i click on user/groups and drag the user to the owner portion to assign read/write priviledge it tells me "unable to make changes,the username you entered does not exist".I mac am running Mac OS Server 10.3.9

I am trying to enable federation with Skype. I have Skype4B (Lync) 2013. unfortunately when I go to prvisioning site at https://pic.lync.com and try to enter my access edge server, it says: "The

The SIP domain and the Access Edge server must be active, functioning, and reachable on the network.
Please double check the DNS records and network , make sure they are functioning properly.

I've been struggling for a couple of weeks attempting to get my domains hosted with my mobile.me account with little success. After trying about everything and I believe they have me blocked now on Chat support, it is now unavailable due to overwhelming interest in mobile.me. 1. Create a new Business Component (BC)
2. Inside the BC create a new AM
3. Inside the BC create a new VO
4. Attach the VO to the AM
5. Create a new XML (XML_new) in the project
6. Attach the AM to the AM definition
7. Add a results table to the XML_new
8. Change a search field in the old XML (XML_old) to be MessageLOV
9. Attach XML_new to XML_old in the external LOV field
10. Map the fields of the XML_old to the XML_new

Verity cfsearch returns "collection does not exist" error - when collection does exist
I have created a collection using the Coldfusion
Administrator - and it shows up fine when displaying all the
collections. I also populated the collection using the
<cfindex> function - using a SQL query - and that appeared to
work fine. It put 117 entries into the collection - and this also
shows up in the Coldfusion Administrator collections window.
The problem is, when I try to search the collection with the
<cfsearch> tag, it returns an error stating "The collection
you specified does not exists or is not registered with the
ColdFusion Search Service."
I can see the collection I'm trying to search exists. Is
there anything else I need to do to get the <cfsearch>
function to find the collection? I've tried repairing the
collection, optimizing the collection, even deleting it and
recreating it - nothing seems to work. I specify the
fully-qualified path to the collection in my cfsearch, so that
shouldn't be the problem.
Is there some other command or function I need to run?

Not sure if that is the problem. The path exists in the
CFAdmin. You sould refer to the collection name in the cfsearch
tag.
See attached code, you can do a cfdump to see what results

Hi! I'm having trouble opening a indd-file. It was sent to me as a zip-fil along with the used fonts and links. When I try to open the file, I'm getting this error: "Either the file does not exist, you do not have permission, or the file may be in use by another application". I've tried to look up this error both here in these forums and through google, but can't find a similar case. Hope someone can help me with this. I'm suspecting it to come from a mac user, if that could influence the case...
It does come from a Mac, as is proven by the fonts, which are of no use on my Windows machine, but that doesn't prevent my CS4 to open it without any problem. It seems to me it's a perfectly regular CS2 file.
Just for cheers I set the file to Read-only, but my InDesign opens it regardless (again as a copy, because it's a "converted" file).
Could it be something in your environment? No network read/write privileges, insufficient free hard disk space, stuff like that? -

Based on my test, if you make the user the owner of the database (rather than a user with the db_owner role), when you create a query, it creates it under the dbo schema rather than DOMAIN\username.
Steps to do so (in Management Studio):
Right click database, select Properties
Click File
Change Owner in the textbox
OK to confirm
Downside - other users under db_owner role will still have their username appended. So schemas have to be created for these users.

Hi to all,
I am using Lion Server on a Mac Mini and everything seems to work fine. However, when I want to check my DNS log file (Server Admin > DNS > Log) I get a message that "The selected log file does not exist"! Stopping and starting the DNS service doesn't help. Anyone any idee how to view the log file within the Server Admin app?

Use "strace" to trace all system calls a binary make... System calls like "open" file and "close" file =)
That's say, we are going to "trace the files opened by specific application".
"Strace" in MacOSX comes with Developer Tools, so you'll need to install these to continue.
First you have to know which are the Applications in the game, because "Server Admin" is a client-server application, there will be a client application in the client machine, and a server application running in the server.
You have to trace the server application running in the server. It will be the one which opens the log file, and sends the data to the client application.
I've made some previous investigation about the Server Admin Log parser (see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3352647?start=0&tstart=0).
Also will be helpfull to read a little bit about strace ( http://linux.die.net/man/1/strace )
Here i do my bet, maybe that command line is what you look for:
#sudo strace launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.ServerPerfLog.plist | grep "open"
sudo: do as super user
strace: trace the binary
launchctl: system service
load -w file: load, as defined in this file
| grep open: and substract just the "open file" traces
Let me know if that gives you more clues!

no synch choice in safari. So how do I synch my bookmarks in safari to firefox when the synch icon firefox says you have to use does not exist in safari?
I cannot set up synch with bookmarks in safari since there is no synch icon in preferences in safari.This is crazy. The directions on firefox keep telling you to go to links that do not exist to import bookmarks from safari.
For example, it says;
Firefox imports Safari settings automatically. Just go to File > Import... and select Safari. In the next window, check the boxes of what you want to import. For example, your Safari Bookmarks will appear in Firefox's Bookmarks menu as "From Safari." Whatever other bookmarks you had on your Safari Bookmarks Bar will automatically appear on your Firefox Bookmarks Bar, too.
BUT THERE IS NO IMPORT LINK UNDER FILES ON FIREFOX!
Then I tried to add a device. I got the code but the continue link was not on ever. I tried it over and over and it does not work.
WHO MAKES THIS SYSTEM??? How can something that should be so simple be so impossible, and why does Firefox direct you to links that do not exist or, if they exist, do not work!
