I have an HP Officejet Pro L7780 All-in-One. Recently it does not work due to a printhead error (The Following printhead has a problem) Blackyellow K/Y) we did buy new original HP printhead Blackyellow K/Y and replaced but the error message still shows.
Please help.  Many thanks.

I would like to assist you today with resolving this Printhead error. Because the error remains since installing a new Black and Yellow Printhead, there is the likelihood that the Printhead contacts are dirty, or there is a hardware defective with the Black and Yellow Printhead compartment.     ON January 23, 2012 I contacted HP Service to assist in solving my printer problem.  I was very detailed about my printers problem in description and error message given.  I was told that HP Support could fix the problem and I was sold an annual Service Program for $40.  However during the conversation I was also told the cost would be $42 and then $47.  Since I wanted this problem resolved and I was assured the problem could be resolved I accepted the program.  I was never offered the one time offer which I have found out since.
    After about 1 hour, being hung up on, having to call back, repeat the story for the second time, the problem was never resolved.  In fact I was told it was a hard ware problem.  If that was the case, then it should of been mentioned to me prior to my investment.  Then the tech wanted to sell me a new set of ink cartridges, when the message is for the BK/YE print head.  I mentioned to him that I just replaced the cartridges and they where all new.  Then I was told that I needed to purchase a new HP printer!  He is going to call me back today.  I have tried to generate a new on-line chat session, however that is for those products still in warranty.  I guess that I have just been taken advantage of and I have no intension in purchasing an HP product that I can not get support and solve or fix an issue without misrepresenting the service process.  I feel that I have been taken advantage of!

    My Officejet Pro L7590 has been displaying that my M/C Printhead has a problem. I resurched this whole site and tried cleaning several times but nothing changes. I ordered a new printhead followed your instructions and still am having problems. The one thing that changed was that when you turn the printer off as directed and plug it back in it checks the ink level warms up and then displays the problem message all over again. Well what know do I have to eat this printer and go back to my dinosour HP? Because If so I will not be buying any more new printers again. I will just chalk them up as throw aways.

  • Error Message "The following printhead(s) has a problem" Officejet Pro 7590

    My Officejet 7590 shows a "The following printhead(s) has a problem" error message. Technical support recommends to clean the printheads contacts. I have done that and did not solve the problem. This has been now for few weeks and I cannot use the printer. In the meantime, several faxes came in and I cannot download the information neithe print.
    Plaese let me know where to return the product. or how to find another solution.

    I have tried cleaning and replacing the printhead but nothing works I even tried turning it off hoping to reset the machine. I don't understand why you developed a machine that has so many problems and has no way to reset the blasted thing. As a consumer we should be able to buy a device that has a way to reset it. I haven't had this new machine very long and now I am considering going back to my old HP's. Help me fix this!

    According to your description, this error happens since some registry keys that need to be fixed do not have administrator access.We need to verify if you run setup.exe as administrator, and the account have permission to access the installation folder.
    I recommend you open up the registry and navigate to the registry key with the issue can give the administrator access to the registry key, and then try to updata again.

    test if it charges with an ac charger
    test if it's detected by another computer
    if it's no to both then likely the connector is broken
    if it's yes to both thne it's likely your computers itunes install which is the problem

    Sounds to me like a hardware issue or maybe something is stuck in the headphone jack. When you plug in headphones, the jack in the iPad is switched to play only through the headphones and not the iPad's speakers. Sounds like either the jack is faulty or there is something stuck in the headphone jack. Get a flashlight & look inside the jack for anything that looks like it doesn't belong in there.
    Regardless, I'd take it in to an Apple Store if you have one nearby to have it checked.
    EDIT: "Ocean20" had an excellent suggestion above. While doing that, you may also want to rotate/twist the plug in the jack back & forth a few times as well. Dirty contacts can often times be cleared by doing this.

    I downloaded the Remote XUL Manager add-on for Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/remote-xul-manager/), restarted FF, went to Tools and scrolled down and clicked on "Remote XUL Manager." I clicked "Add" and pasted the URL for the link where I log-in to Lotus Notes into the dialogue box, and ta-dah! Back to email. Took me longer to type this than fix the problem.

    I do not remember exactly how far I had to go to repair FIREFOX the first time. I seem to recall starting with disabling add-ons. Then I just kept going one step further and testing until completely removing the browser and reinstalling it. I saved most user settings and favorites to reload afterwards but had to re install extensions and add-ons.
    My routers NAT is always on. I always use NO-SCRIPT to screen web sites. SPYBOT and AVIRA were and are always active and updated weekly. I am fairly well versed in network security so am usually alert to frontal attacks, this one sneaked by to the back door.
    It seems to remove or change the way html processes the gui removing the formatting and affects some of the button action commands.

    It sounds like your computer may be infected with some sort of a virus / Malware.
    I suggest the following resources:

    To double check your system is clean, do the following (Not official Mozilla advice, just good practice from personal experience)

    Double check for all Windows Updates.
