My iphone will not recognize any usb cables. I have tried 3 official apple ones and 2 different plugs. Ive tried plugging it into my laptop but will not find the phone. it has had problems since i updated my ios. Battery has been replaced.

test if it charges with an ac charger
test if it's detected by another computer
if it's no to both then likely the connector is broken
if it's yes to both thne it's likely your computers itunes install which is the problem

Crizzo is right, the best way to charge is with the included power block. That said, the USB cords are interchangable as far as an of us know. (just not power bricks, iPhone and iPod bricks put out 5W of power, the iPad wants 10W and will always say 'not charging' if plugged into less power than it requires even though it will charge, just very slowly)
If you have tried to charge your iPad - with the iPad charger - with multiple cables and multiple computers and get no joy then it's time to head to the apple store and have them check it out. The 30 pin USB port can go bad - mine did - and it's a manufacturer's defect (unless there's any sort of obvious damage) and should be covered under the warranty; -

Well... yes... it can happen with all computers, but that's certainly not a resolution. Are you working directly with Apple or a different service provider? If something (Word) has not been working since day one... even after repairs, then they haven't fixed it (provided you told them about the problem).
Basically, as others have said... if you've been getting the service you've described directly from Apple, I would give them a call and express your concern. You're in good shape while your warranty is still effective. Get them to fix it to your satisfaction. If something isn't working as it should, don't be afraid to say something. -
I was given an iPhone 3G, reset it, and now have picture which I believe indicates I should connect to my computer and iTunes. Have done so, clicked download which was done, but nothing changes on the phone. I know I can only upgrade to ios 4.2 but how do I do this?

From what you describe it sounds like the phone is in recovery mode. Try connecting the phone to the wall charger that it came with, and perform a reset then connect it to iTunes again and try:
Reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Any update will cause problems for a few users. And those users will rush here and post "the sky is falling" stories about their experience. The 99.99% of people who have no problems after an update won't bother to post here; indeed, most of them don't even know ASC exists. FWIW, I had no problems with iOS 7 on my 4S. Your problem is most likely not related to iOS 6, but you should probably update anyway. Nokia 6233 does not notice any USB-cable
I'm trying to upload some files from my phone to my computer. The problem is that when I connect USB-cable (ca-53, should be suitable with 6233) nothing appears on my phone screen. When I click the settings > connections > usb-cable, it only tells me "first connect the usb-datacable".
So what should I do? The problem isn't in my computer, I've tested it with another usb connection.In that case, uninstall all Nokia related software and drivers with Revo, clean the registry with Ccleaner. Reinstall the latest PC Suite, turn off antivirus during install. Reboot the PC. Start PC Suite and then connect the phone in PC Suite mode.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

It does not recognize any bluetooth such as magic mouse, wireless keyboard or track pad. When I plug in an older keyboard or mouse it does not see it at all either. don't know what to do. Can't do anything on the computer, which otherwise seems to be working fine, except everything I was using is frozen on the desktop. any advise?Zap the PRAM and Reset the SMC, then try again.

I recently installed Yosemite on my Macbook Pro, but then I got an integrity issue on my system HD. I need to repair this HD.
But the recovery partition doesn't work (by the way, it's still OS 10.9, not 10.10...).
So I would like to install Yosemite (downloaded version) on an external HD. But I fail finding the location of the installer.
I just found a "OS X Yosemite.appdownload" package in the Application folder, but it's content (> show package contents) seems quite empty, even when I download Yosemite...
So, I would like to know:
- where is located the installation package?
- what I should do to keep it from being deleted?
Thanks a lot for any help...When you originally downloaded the Yosemite installer it was sent to your Applications folder, it did it's thing and then deleted itself. In order to avoid that, you'd need to quit the installer before running it, copy it to a different location and then start it again to actually run the upgrade. So you'll have to download the Yosemite installer again to install it on an external.

I have Windows 8.1 on my PC. Ever since downloading the latest version of i Tunes, it will not recognize any of my i Pods (3) and therefore am unable to sync any music from my i Tunes to the i Pods. I've tried all the obvious things like resarting the PC as well as the i Pods tried different patch cables but the i Tunes software will no longer recognize my i Pods. I have automatic sync selected, but I even tried to manually sync by clicking on devices under File but the sync icon is "grayed" out. When I look under Preferences and click on devices the serial numbers of my i Pods appear and are correct but again will not recognize the i Pod when plugged in to the PC. Bottom line I'm dead in the water....appreciate any suggestions....thanks
