I have a OSX version 10.7.5. On Safari mail I can no longer see the information that usually appears at the beginning of an incoming email, like the date, senders details etc. What do I do to be able to see this again?

No, I get my mail on my computer, not on a website. I used to be able to see the information but in sorting another issue I must have changed a setting or something. I have gone to View. Under Message Attributes most things are ticked but many of them are not bold print i.e. they are pale grey. I don't know how to activate them again.

  • TS3899 the text of my incoming emails is not showing on the screen.  I must have pushed some setting change but I can't figure it out.  Thanks...M

the text of my incoming emails is not showing when I tap the message.  I probably changed some setting by mistake but I don't know what i did.  would like to be able to read my emails on the screen.  the 2 line starting area shows fine.

browsing around internet found others have had this problem and recommended turn off/turn on phone, which I did, and that fixed it.   at least for now.   thanks...

  • How do I change the subject line on incoming email

On my old PC I could easily start typing in the subject line of a received email.  This would allow me to search for a name later on when looking for an invoice.  I dont know how to change the subject line of an incoming email to my imac?

This site tells you how to edit the subject of a message.  I just tested using OS X 10.8.5 and it worked, without altering the time & date stamp, or the original sender info.
    http://email.about.com/od/macosxmailtips/qt/et_edit_receive.htm
    Steps copied below:
Drag and drop the desired message out of Mac OS X Mail onto the Desktop.
Ctrl-click on the message copy on the Desktop.
Select Open With | TextEdit from the menu.
Make the desired changes to the message source. To change a message's subject, look for "Subject:" at the beginning of a line starting from the top.  (hint, you can use 'Command-F' to bring up a search window to help you find the "Subject").
    Close TextEdit saving the document.
Ctrl-click on the message on the Desktop again.
Select Open With | Mail from the menu this time.
Now select Message | Copy To followed by the message's original folder from the menu in Mac OS X Mail.
    Close the message window.
Delete the message copy from your Desktop.
Optionally, delete the original message in Mac OS X Mail.  (when I tested this, the original message was no longer there.  Not sure what happened to it, but the changes worked without editing the time, date, or original sender information.)

  • Is there a way of permanently increasing the size/boldness of incoming emails

I find it difficult to read the font of incoming emails as it is two small. Is there a permanent way of increasing both size of boldness of incoming emails?
I use firefox and my emails come via talktalk

-> [[How do I use Zoom?]]
    * press '''CTRL + +''' to '''Zoom In'''
    * press '''CTRL + -''' to '''Zoom Out'''
    * press '''CTRL + 0''' (zero) to '''Reset Zoom'''
The Firefox Page Zoom feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox. Try these extensions:
    -> Default FullZoom Level 4.6.1
    * https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/
    -> NoSquint 2.1.2
    * https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/
Check and tell if its working.

  • The fonts of my incoming email change, and change size. How to fix?

    I have a 2009 27 iMac, with Lion.
In my Apple email, the fonts on some of messages change, from serif to sans serif, and change size.
    How can I fix this?

    1. Thanks.
    2. I did as you suggested.
    3. That did change some of the font to Arial in the incoming message.
    4. However, the message now has copy in two fonts:
Arial, then Times, then Arial again, then Times again.
And the Times is much smaller than the Arial.
This used to occur with just one person's incoming email. Now it is starting to occur with several people.
(I now suspect that I accused the first guy of having a defective computer.)

  • I recently upgraded my Mac to OS 10.6.5. Now the links in my incoming emails will not open in Firefox, but they will in Safari. What do I do?

there is nothing more to add.... links from a wide variety of sources simply do not open up firefox and open the website like they used to. I can copy the links and paste them into firefox and they will open.

this answer does not help at all. It tells me how to change my mail client for outgoing mail. I use iCal from mac, which is the default mail program, and it works well for me. The problem is with INCOMING mail that contains clickable links that will not open the page in firefox. When I click them nothing happens. iCal and Firefox used to play together just fine; now firefox doesn't answer when I click a link sent to me and received in my iCal.
    Thanks for your help.

  • How do I get an audible alert for email from specific senders without getting the alert for every incoming email?

I Need to have emails from my family members to have an audible alert when I am traveling. It seems that every email coming in is doing this. I know there is a Do Not Disturb function but it does not seem to apply to emails.

You can't set a different notification sound for each family member but If you designate the people that you want notifications from as VIP, I think it might be possible to get notifications from family members only.
Launch mail and tap the blue  "I" in the VIP section. Tap "Add VIP" in order to add the family members to the VIP list that you want to include. Then tap "VIP Alert" to automatically go to the notifications area of the settings app. Set you preferences in there for the family members. Then go to Settings>Notitication Center and turn off the audible notifications for all other mail.
The setting states that whatever you set for VIP alerts will override the other mail alerts, so I am taking that to mean that what I am suggesting is possible to do.

  • How do we change the code of incoming emails?

Prior to downloading the latest version of Firefox, we were able to access the code-changing service via the orange button in the top left corner of the screen.
The latest version has done away with that orange button and its associated drop-down menu, wherein we used to be able to change the transmission code of incoming emails to Unicode.
How can we change the codes now?
It is very disappointing that you make stupid changes without any notification.
What was wrong with the old orange button, that it HAD to be changed?
It appears that some ignorant newbie, who is unaware of what is really going on decides to make a name for himself, making cosmetic changes – simply for the sake of making changes!!!
Whenever changes are made, they firstly should be absolutely necessary; and secondly your users should be notified of the implications of any changes.
The current disregard of customers is just not good enough!!!
Since the loss of the orange button, we have been forced to perform the tedious, time-consuming task of editing each email which is to be stored, removing all the ASCI-type codes from the text. Previously, Firefox altered the transmission code on request – MUCH simpler & MUCH quicker & MUCH more convenient!!!
How are we supposed to get Firefox to do the change?? Pray tell.

Hi, I am sorry that you do not like the changes in Firefox 29. I would be happy to help you with the problem that you have.
Mozilla did not completely remove the menu function that you are talking about. If you look at the top left side of the browser you will see an icon with three horizontal lines. This has the same function as the Firefox button that you talked about. It is customizable and takes up less space when configured this way. That was the rational behind the change. From this point you click on options. After that it is all the same. I hope this helps. If you are really unhappy with the changes to Firefox 29 I wold recommend that you let Mozilla know. • Incoming Email on Windows Server 2012

    Windows Server 2012:
SMTP and the associated management tools are deprecated. Though the functionality is still available in Windows Server 2012, you should begin using System.Net.Smtp. With this API, you will not be able to insert a message into a file for pickup; instead configure
Web applications to connect on port 25 to another server using SMTP.
    Question:
If this is the case, is there a TechNet article that has instructions for installing/using incoming email on a SharePoint 2013 web front end?
    What I know:
Why do we install deprecated features http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263260 (Plan incoming email for a SharePoint farm in SharePoint 2013) to make this work?
    What to do:
I want to use the basic scenario for incoming email, but with the information above about Windows Server it looks rather like idiotic to follow those directions in the TechNet article.
    How to do this:
"... instead configure Web applications to connect on port 25 to another server using SMTP." Huh? Oh stupid me!
    Thoughts???
NOTE: We do use Exchange for incoming email.
    Chris

You will need to continue to use the IIS6 SMTP Virtual Server for SharePoint incoming email. I'm sure by the time the feature is dropped, the SharePoint group will have an alternate solution.

  • Sharepoint Foundation 2010 incomming emails not delivered to library

    Hello
we run a SharePoint 2010 Foundation server and an Exchange 2010 Mail Server. I want to add incoming-email-support to a SharePoint Library.
I have installed and configured SMTP Server on the local SPF, enabled incomming email support on SharePoint via Central Administration, here I have specified the respective drop Email-Folder. Have added a new send-connector on Exchange in order to forward emails
to the SharePoint SMTP (while SMTP and Sharepoint is the same host)
I also have configured the Email-Settings on the library settings, configured a email-address, allowed to recieve email from any sender via Library Settings / Incomming-Email-Settings. Nevertheless the sender is a AD Member of the same Acrive Direcotry whom
I gave contributor permissons to this site and library. It is a document library.
While I send an Email to the resp. library this one is delivered via Exchagne to the SMTP server, put into the drop folder. From there it disapears very soon, obvioulsy it's beeing picke dup be the Timer Service. But the Email never arrives into the document
library in charge. Actually I have no idea where the emails went without leaving a trace once they have been picked by the timer service from the drop folder of the smtp server. Actually I don't know for sure who pickes up the emails, but I can tell that they
disapear after just a few minutes or secons from this folder where they can be found as .eml for the time beeing.
Any suggestions where to search, where to look into some log-files etc. are highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

  • Incoming Email not working for one web app, but IS working for others in same farm.

I have enabled incoming email in a large multi-web application farm running SharePoint 2013 SP1 and the Feb 2015/March 2015 CUs that were pushed down in Windows Updates.  It works just fine for two web applications, but it will not work for one particular
web application. I see the email land in the /drop folder. If I remove the email address from the library in http://nonworkingapp web
application and use it on a library in a http://working web application, then the email is processed successfully. Conversely,
if I take an address from a library in http://working and move it to a library inhttp://nonworkingapp it
does not work. I've tried multiple site collections on http://nonworkingapp. This rules out any SMTP issues, etc. and means
the issue is bound to this web application. Permissions are the same between the "non-working" and "working" locations: domain users are members on the site, and the library inherits permissions from the site.  The App Pool and Timer
Service accounts have rights to the folder and to the library.
The error in the ULS log is the typical error processing message, but it gives no additional information even though I have enabled Verbose logging.
The Incoming E-Mail service has completed a batch. The elapsed time was 00:00: 00.0156294. The service processed 2 message(s) in total. Errors occurred processing 2 message(s): Message ID: Message
    ID:
Typically, you see "alias not found" or some permissions or quota issue here, but this issue is NOT the same as those. In this case NO additional information is provided in ULS.
Edit: running stsadm.exe -o refreshdms -url http://one/failing/site fixed some similar issues where "Unknown alias" was
reported even though the list did have an alias (see here:http://blogs.technet.com/b/vinitt/archive/2009/07/15/e-mail-enabled-list-alias-information-is-not-synchronized-between-configuration-database-and-content-database.aspx).
This did not fix the issue for the case mentioned above.
What could possibly be the issue preventing incoming email from working on this one web application?

Thanks for your reply.  Incoming E-Mail was running on all 3 WFE, however I do not think this was the cause.  As noted, _other_ emails send to http://workingapp are working just fine.  I can send two emails - one to a library on http://workingapp
and another on http://notworkingapp.  The email to http://notworkingapp will sit in the drop folder, while the one to http://workingapp will be processed correctly.  In addition, the ULS log on WFE1 indicates an attempt to process the file fails.
So clearly, the timer job on WFE1 is running and attempting to process the file.  For kicks, I disabled the service on WFE2 and WFE3, but with no change in the behavior.
WRT to #1, I have done this already (as noted in the original post).  I can remove an alias from http://workingapp and place it on http://nonworkingapp and it is not processed.  If I return it to http://workingapp it is processed.  In other
words, I go into Library Settings -> Incoming Email for a working library, and copy the alias, then disable incoming email for that library.  I then go to Library Settings -> Incoming Email for a non-working library, enable incoming email, and paste
the alias.  Once done, emails sent to the alias are not processed.  I then do the reverse, and it works again.
On #2, I have already tried multiple libraries on http://nonworkingapp (also as noted in the original post).
In my environment, incoming email does not work for any library on http://nonworkingapp, but does work for any library on http://workingapp.  Troubleshooting listed above has ruled out any problem with basic mail server configuration or library settings
    - the problem is bound to http://nonworkingapp
I'm not sure what you mean by "steps to reproduce the issue".  If I knew that, I would probably be able to solve the issue.  The best I could come up with to describe the situation would be:
Set up SP 2010 in a three-node configuration with multiple web apps
Enable incoming email and confirm it works
Migrate to a SP2013 SP1 farm in a three node configuration.
Enable a new email alias for a library
Observe that it doesn't work for one web application.
Obviously, it's pretty unlikely that attempting that in a lab would actually have the same result.

  • How do i get back the earlier inbox listing of email

the new listing of incoming emails is unacceptable. how do I get back the original display?

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". We might have an answer for you if we knew which web mail service provider this problem is with. Or, you could seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

  • Sharepoint 2013 SP1 incoming email in load balanced farm not working on both servers

I have 2 SharePoint 2013 WFE servers with a VIP load balancer.
I have configured the basic scenario incoming email on both servers as per this article
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/library/cc262947(v=office.15).aspx.
The email makes it to both WFEs in the SMTP drop folder but SharePoint picks it up always from one smtp server.
What could go wrong?  is there any additional configuration needed so that sharepoint check both servers?

MX records can be pointing to the IPs of your Incoming Email SharePoint servers. They should have the same weight if you want them to load balance, or different weights if you want them to be failover.
