I'm developing a web application using JSP and Struts.

The thumbnail images have disappeared from one of my sequences
I have 3 sequences open in the timeline and the thumbnail images have disappeared from the clips in one of them. It's very frustrating to work without them, how do I get them back?
Thanks so much! That actually wasn't it though... The thumbnail display was already set to 'name plus thumbnail' but 'track size' was set to 'custom'. Once I changed 'track size' to 'small' (which is what my other sequences which were displaying thumbnails were set to) the thumbnails reappeared. Yipee!!!!

In 'Desktop' the display options for the chosen image have vanished.
I have an iMac with Snow Leopard.
Using the option 'Desktop' in 'Desktop and Screen Saver', on choosing an image, under the name ofm the image chosen, there is usually a list of options for how the image is displayed :-
Tile
Fuil screen
Fit to screen
These are no longer displayed. Where is the option for switching the list back on?
I have tried restarting.

DavidDisconnect all devices from the computer then do the following:
Boot up from your Snow Leopard Install DVD while holding down the "c" key.
Select the language you wish to use, and then choose "Disk Utility" from the menu bar.
Your HD should appear in a panel on the left hand side of the window which opens. Select it and then click on the "repair disk" button in the right hand section of the window.
Once this process has been completed restart your computer and repair permissions directly from Disk Utility.
If Disk Utility is unable to complete the repair, you will need to use a stronger 3rd party utility like DiskWarrior, Techtool PRO (not Deluxe) or Drive Genius.
Please post back the results. -
my mac book pro would connect automatically to my wireless network in ny. then I went to vermont with my computer and connected to my wireless network there. when I got back to ny I changed it back to my wireless connection here but it wont stay connected. each time i go on mail it asks me to join a network. it hink i did all the right steps but it wont stay joined.

Take all the applicable steps in this support article.

If you're running OS X 10.8.4 or later, run Wireless Diagnostics and take the remedial steps suggested in the summary that appears, if any. The program also generates a large file of information about your system, which would be used by Apple Engineering in case of a support incident. Don't post the contents here.

If you're not using a wireless keyboard or trackpad, disable Bluetooth by selecting Turn Bluetooth Off from the menu with the Bluetooth icon. If you don't have that menu, open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and check the box marked Show Bluetooth in menu bar. Test. Continue if you find that Wi-Fi is faster with Bluetooth disabled.
From that same menu, select Open Bluetooth Preferences. If the box labeled Discoverable is checked, uncheck it. Click the Advanced button, and in the sheet that opens, uncheck the top three boxes, if any are checked. Click OK. Enable Bluetooth and test again.
If the application called "Bluetooth Setup Assistant" is running, quit it.

Struts - using html:image for link
I would like to use an image for a link but I am not sure how to do this. Right now I'm using the <html:link> tag and using the action mapping. Can this be done using the <html:image> tag?
Here's an example of what I'm currently doing.

<html:link> has onmouseover and onmouseout attributes... so you just put the mouseover script stuff there. -
Why do images have noise/distortion in Aperture 3?
I am having disturbing issues with Aperture (3.1 and 3.24) Lately, I am finding multiple images in my libraries that are distorted–they either have bands of gray noise on them, or, seem to have overlapping bits from other images or large balck sections. Requesting a New version from master brings in the same issue. If I try to export, sometimes I get nothing but black, sometimes the image retains the distortion. (I have posted a couple of examples on flickr to show what I am talking about.. . Additionally, I have had messages when starting Aperture about " inconsistencies in the database and to repair it. " (I have had this a few times and I run as requested.) If I run a rebuild or repair (without the message) it runs fine and does not seem to find issues.
I have more than one library and this has happened in more than one, so it is not isolated. It has also happened on both my MacBook pro and iMac. The MBP is upgraded to Moutain Lion but I have hesitated with the imac as I would prefer to know what is causing thi before I upgrade teh second computer. It did start before the upgrade however.
If anyone has any ideas, I am all ears!

NJWere these images originally fine or is this the first time you have looked at them?
Is it a few specific images that show the problems (and they show them every time), or is it hit or miss?
Because what you're seeing is not noise or distortion. It looks like file corruption to me. The thing is, Aperture never touches your master files. So the most common cause of what you're seeing is a corrupt card reader, or corrupt cable or something when you import the files. If you're 100% positive the files were once good, and have since been corrupted, it's worth exporting the masters out of Aperture and looking at them in Finder or via another non-Apple program that can read them (i.e. Adobe Bridge).
You say it happens on more than one computer. Is it the same images have problems on both machines? Because the 2nd most likely cause of this is a bad video card or bad video drive. But if you're seeing it on > 1 machine that sorta puts that one out.
It's worth investigating what you're using to import the photos in the first place, though, because corruption at import due to card reader or cable is way more frequently reported than I'd have expected. And, hopefully you *never* import directly from the camera. That's fraught with peril :-) -
Ipad lightning cable stretched and the wires have broken
My lightning cable has become stretched and the wires inside have broken, meaning it won't charge my iPad properly. I've always pulled the cable out of my iPad by gripping the plastic rather than the rubber wire so as to prevent this from happening, but it's still broken. I've had it for just under a year, will Apple replace the cable under the warranty?
They might, but probably not. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

Image links broken when creating a page from template
I have created a page in dw cs4 and saved it as a template. I have a navigation bar in a div tag. The image renders great in the template. I save the template. I go to File>New>PagefromTemplate and choose the template. I save the page as index.html. The links to the navbar images are broken. I can see the difference in the code, but I don't know why it's changing the code. I know it's just a simple link problem, but I don't know how to fix it and I don't understand why the code is changing. I have made the links relative to the document, and have gone through other settings and solutions on this forum and nothing fixes it. Any help would be most appreciated.

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.Ok, I figured this one out, finally. I had my navbar image files in a folder in the Templates folder. I found, buried deep in another thread about something else, that DW doesn't like anything else to be in the Templates folder except the Templates files. So I put the Navbar folder on the root level, out of the Templates folder, and the page is rendering perfectly in Firefox, Safari and IE on Mac and PC.

JavaScript Image Rollover with html:image ?
I've got a website I'm developing in which I have a submit button as well as a button which pops up a google map within my web page. I've currently got the buttons working and doing what they are supposed to do, but I'm having trouble with a rollover image effect.
The method I'm currently using looks something like...
For my page with the submit button:

}And that's basically it. So as you can see, I'm using the <html:image> to give myself a submit button type thing which works perfectly in both cases. To try and make it have a rollover image effect I'm setting a styleId and then in my CSS declaring a default image and then a hover/active image. Back in the <html:image> tag, for the required src attribute, I've just got a spacer.gif which is a 1 x 1 image that is 100% transparent.
The effect, at least in the Gecko based browsers I've tried, such as Firefox, is that you don't see the spacer.gif even though it is there, and all you see are the CSS background images which changes on hover. This even works in IE7.
My problem... Internet Explorer browsers prior to 7 aren't doing the image rollover. The buttons still work, but I can't get the image to change just using the CSS... Any tips on a way to still use this method or to still use <html:image> but to use some sort of javascript solution?Thanks for all the quick help on this one... bodhi-firestarr... You got me thinking and so I went and tried to search for a way to use that particular javascript method with the <html:image> tag. This brought me to the solution that I could use styleId just like an id and then getElementById in the javascript.
Unfortunately, this only partially solved my problem... It made the submit button work through both CSS and JavaScript, but my map it button still wasn't working. My map button is inside of a loop generating a button for a set of results. If I used the getElementById method it would use the same id for each one causing problems. When I tried to add some sort of index to the end of the Id to fix this, it messed up my CSS, but that's when...
gmachamer, you came up with just the solution I needed. I had no idea property actually translated to name. Once I knew this I was able to use property and got everything to work.

Anyone know how to get iPhone to block the html images in emails so that I don't broadcast to spammers that I was stupid enough to open their email junk?
There are no settings to control such a feature at this time. If you don't know who the email is from, don't open it.

I just transferred "all movies" to "My Passport" hard drive. Several images of the same clips appear. Is each image a valid clip? Why do I have so many?
Okay. Trash the stuff on the External Drive.
All Movies is not a place - it's a list. Specifically its a list of all the movies on your Mac. Never interact with anything in iPhoto via these All Movies or All Images lists.
In iPhoto select the Movies you want to move and go File -> Export. Set the Kind: to Original and export from iPhoto to this external drive.
Then once you're sure the export has gone correctly, erase them from iPhoto.

On iWeb, Inspector/Graphic/Stroke/Picture FrameIt appears that the Scrips folder for you site has not been uploaded or not uploaded fully. There are two files, iWebImage.js and iWebSite.js. Try the following:
1 - do a File->Publish Entire Site and see if the site works as intended. You may have to do a refresh on the pages a couple of times.
2 - next, in needed, publish your site to a folder on your hard drive. Mount your iDisk and go to the iDisk/Web/Sites/arkimo folder. Drag the two files above from the Scripts folder on your computer into the Scripts folder on the iDisk Then try the site again.
Part of the problem is the server, some files not loading the first time, and part is the missing js files in the Scripts folder.
