The impact of accrue at receipt and accrue at period end on project costing

What is the impact of checking the accrue on receipt flag on the PO shipment on the PRC: Interface Supplier Costs behavior?

Hi
The system should be setup with Accrual Method on Receipt (not on period end).
On PO shipments of Goods line type you may enable the check box - Accrue on Receipt. This is mandatory for Inventory destination and a default for Expense destination.
When goods arrived from the supplier you enter a receipt transaction. That receipt transaction will get accounted and sent to SLA and GL.
The process PRC: Interface Supplier Cost have several parameters. You can select to interface PO Receipts transactions into Projects Costing. You would select to interface invoices as well. The system will check if the receipt transaction has been interfaced to PJC. If so, only AP variances will be imported from AP to PJC. If the receipt transaction has not been interfaced to Projects, then the entire AP invoice will be imported.
Another option is to always interface receipt transactions to Projects, and from AP to always interface only the variances, regardless if the receipt transaction has been already imported or not.

  • The impact of java.ext.dirs and XMX settings to a JVM

    Hello,
I've been using a XMX setting of 3800M for a particular JVM running a particular task.
However, if I pass the -Djava.ext.dirs option, and point it to some directories, the JVM fails for the same task I've been running in my first run.
truss output appears to show the failure occurring during mmap() resulting in ENOMEM.
The question is, under what condition would java.ext.dirs change the behavior of my XMX setting? If it take it out, it runs fine.
    Java version: 1.4.1, SunOS Sparc

This sounds like a problem I had a while ago that stumped me for several days.
If your class with the "main" method is loaded from the extensions directory (java.ext.dirs), it appears that a special classloader is used to do that, not the standard classloader that looks in the classpath. This special classloader appears to ignore the classpath and look only in the extensions directory. Also, the JVM appears to try this classloader before the standard classloader.
Now, when one class wants to load another class, it always uses the classloader that loaded it to load that other class (unless you specifically write your program to use some other classloader). So what is happening to you is this: The "extensions classloader" loads your class with the "main" method, because it can. Then your "main" method tries to load another class, but it uses the "extensions classloader" to do that. And the "extensions classloader" doesn't look in the classpath, and what you saw is what you got.
At least the answer to your problem is clear: Don't do that.

  • Which table field I can confirm if the PO has done invoice receipt

    Hi,
From which table field, I can confirm the PO has done invoice receipt. and in case of that with reference a PO, I have done the IR, but it was reversed, which means PO has not done invoice receipt.
For this case, I don't want to read table EKBE to retrieve the invoice number, the read table RBKP to judge if there is a reverse IR for it.
If there any status table field which indicate if the PO has done invoice receipt.
    Many thanks,
    Aries

    Hi Raj,
For invoice receipt and credit memo, EKBE-BEWTP is all set with 'Q', so if there is reversed invoice. Also you can retrieve data from EKBE. But actually the PO also needs a invoice receipt. So it can not meets the requirement.

  • LO DataSource for Goods receipt and Invoice receipt

    Hi all
In LBWE, under Purchasing there are few DataSources available for Goods receipt and Invoice receipt. Is there any DataSource for both Goods receipt and Invoice receipt. What are the DataSources available for Goods receipt and Invoice receipt. Please clarify the difference.
    Thanks.
    Zak.

Try to use the PROCESSKEY standard infoobject (BWVORG in R3/ECC) to discriminate the good receipt from the invoice one...
An other option is create a custom generic data source with a view on EKBE table and use the EKBE-VGABE field to discrimate them.

  • HT5148 I am using the trial FCP 10.0.8 and I get a quicktime error when I export to any format I get a quicktime -50 error. Any idea why this could be happening?

Hi, i am using the 10.0.8 trial version and trying to export a simple project to any format and get the Quicktime -50 error. Has anyone seen this before?

Often Times the 50 error means corrupt media. What is your original media and did you optimize?
Try this. Turn off Background Rendering in Preferences. From the File menu, and with your project selected in the Library, Delete Project Render Files. Close FCP and empty the trash. Open FCP and your project, With the Range Tool, select a short section of your timeline. Without rendering, export that section as a Pro Res Master File. If that works, It's likely that your project should be OK to export.

  • Debit and Credit notes not to update COPA cost of sales when doing price ad

    Hi Experts,
Please help me to fix the below issue.
When we correct price adjustments on customer accounts we use debit and credit notes to do these price corrections. We first process a ZCR order type with reference to the original invoice to reverse the transaction and then we process a debit meme request ZDR with the correct details to invoice the customer correctly.
These credit and Debit memo request are purley for pricing problems and do not effect cost of sales. Currently these Debit and credit memos are updating the cost of Sales value field (COS on Market Price - VV013) .
This creates a problem since the credit and debit memo happen in subsequent months e.g. The credit memo is reversed at the old cost of sales value since SAP keeps a reference to the cost of sales at that time but the debit memo creates the cost sales at the new standard cost which is obviously not the same as the original cost of sales. We therefore sit with differences which will not equal FI since FI cost of sales was updated with the goods issue price in the month that the goods issue happened.
We therefore need to zerorise the following value fields when doing ZDR dedit memo and billing type ZL2 and ZCR credit memo billing type ZG2.
    Gross Weight in KG VV004
    Invoiced Qty KG net VV002
    Invoiced Qty in L VV001
    Invoiced Qty in L15 VV003
    Invoiced Quantity VV005
    COS on Market Price VV013
VV001 to VV005 are quantity fields and VV013 is Value field.
Please help me how to fix the issue.
    Regards,
    Amar.

    Hi,
Sorry, I probably confused things by mentioning Revenue. Your settings are correct, with Revenue defined as a revenue element (11) rather than a cost element (1).
With respect to WIP (P&L), I would create it as a cost element, since it represents the absorption of cost centre costs and materials into the production of goods, even though the goods are not yet complete. When the goods are completed they will be credited in CO-OM and debited to stock using a similar entry. The impact of these credits (to WIP or to Stock) is to move costs out of CO-OM into the goods produced (CoGS). In CO-OM, the net result of Costs less credits to WIP/Stock, indicates the efficiency of your cost centres or the accuracy of your standards.
I would also create the manufacturing variance accounts as Cost Elements and settle them back to your production costs centres (or possibly CO-PA if you used it), since they are also a reflection of the efficiency of your cost centres - i.e. if a Cost Centre manager is not achieving the standards, (s)he should be accountable for the variance, and if you are concerned about reconciling CO-OM and the costs in P&L, you won't reconcile if the variances aren't posted back to CO.

  • LV PDA 8 wait for ms and wait for next N ms multiple costs extrem performance.

    Dear LV PDA users.
There is another bug using the PDA toolkit.
The usage of wait for ms and wait for next N ms multiple costs me 200ms while the input is 1ms.
I have tried it without the wait functions and the looptiming was 0..1ms.
One possible workaround is to use timout events with while loops.
    This works fine without delays.

  • Is it possible to undo or reverse the Period End Closing Utility

I have a client that ran the Period-End Closing Utility. Then a week later ran it again. Is it possible to undo or reverse the second mistaken operation of the Period-End Closing Utility?

    Hi,
It is not possible to Automatically Reverse the Period End Closing performed.
You can try the option of Manually cancelling every transaction involved in Period End Closing in the COPY of the database to check if it helps.

  • What is the difference between PO Charge Account and PO Accrue Account ?

    Hi
On Requistion's Distribution screen , there is a A/c codes exists : PO Charge , Accrue, Budget & Variance .
Can anyone explain me the exact purpose of the same and what is the difference between PO Charge Account and PO Accrue Account ?
    regards
    Thanks
    SD

    Hi Sanjay,
Here is the OA help (11i) :
    Entering Purchase Order Distributions:
    6. Enter the purchasing accounts. When you save your changes in this window, Purchasing uses the Account Generator to automatically create the following accounts for each distribution:
Charge: the account to charge for the cost of this item in the purchasing operating unit
Accrual: the AP accrual account in the purchasing operating unit
Variance: the invoice price variance account in the purchasing operating unit
Destination Charge: the account to charge for the cost of this item in the destination operating unit
Destination Variance: the invoice price variance account in the destination operating unit
Note: The last two accounts are created only if the receiving destination operating unit is different than the purchasing operating unit and there is a transaction flow defined between the two organizations.
If you are using encumbrance control, Purchasing also creates the following account for each distribution:
    Budget: the encumbrance budget account
The Account Generator creates these accounts based on predefined rules. See: Using the Account Generator in Oracle Purchasing.Hope it helps

  • I can't find AP invoice commitment in case of Accrue at Receipt.

    Dear Folks,
I have an issue here, in case i am using the purchasing option accrue at period end, i can't easily find my AP invoice commitment in the Project status Inquiry (PSI) page and transfer it to actual cost.
on the other hand i can't do that in case of the accrue at receipt purchasing option, any suggestions ?!
    Thank you in advance

    Hi
When using the Period End Accrual method, then receiving transactions are not considered actual costs. Only when you enter the vendor invoice it will become actual costs. Before entering the invoice the PO is still on project commitments. There are no vendor invoices in AP, and therefore, there are no commitments from AP invoices.
You are saying you try to find commitments of AP in PSI and transfer that to actual costs. This is unclear. There is no way to transfer commitments into actual in PSI. This is only an inquiry.

Hello there,I delete my scruff application on the 8/05/13. Receipt N: 184052577343. And I was charged ammount of £ 16.99on the 15/05/13. I t's a Subscription Renewal. How can I stop it and get the refund of this ammount back on my account? Thank you!!

There are instructions on this page for managing and stopping auto-renewing subscriptions (deleting an app won't stop it) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4098
In terms of a refund, what does it say on the app's description page in the store (a lot say that refunds aren't given) ? But you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Creation of new plant and the impact of business

    Hi to all
i am creating a new plant, and would like to know the impact of the plant, what are the changes to be made in the customization, i want to know what are the chages required, and let me know after unit testing and integration testing what activity to be performed, as i am at go live stage and in the production client how to extended the master data,  what is data migration how it can be done,
    thanking you

    Hi there,
As an SD consultant, these are the things you need to take care.
Assign the plant to the company code in OX18.
You need to assign the new plant to the sales org / distribution channel in OVX6.
Then assign the shipping point to plant in OVXC. If WH is active for your plant, then assign warehouse WH to plant & storage location in LE assignment.
Reg the master data, you need to assign the material master to the new plant. Also maintain the MRP profiles, plant specific data in the MM01.
Maintain the shipping point determination in OVL2 & storage loc determination in OVL3 (OVL3 if required)
Check with MM, PP & FI if they need to maintain any plant specific configs. There are some configs from their end for sure. For eg for production orders, purchase orders, movement types etc.
Reg the testing, you need to ensure that plant gets proposed automatically when a new sales order is created. Also maintain the relevent plant specific condition records.
Similarly when PGI is done, it should update the transfer postings in MM & FI w.r.t plant.
Even tough your project is in final stages, you have to do a regrious testing when a new plant is created. Testing cannot be compromised for time lines. It will lead to serious production issues if tsting is not properly done.

  • I bought the Garmin USA app for $50.. it is useless as out of date for my area. The apple store said go to Garmin. Garmin said fgo to the app store.. I clicked not satisfied on my receipt and it sent me to Garmin!!! They said it was apple to deal with

I bought the Garmin app for $50 as the maps on my garmin in my car are not current. I thought this would avoid the need to travel with 2 devices. However, the maps are hopelessly out of date for where I live with roads and roundabouts that have been there for more than a year not on the maps. I went to the apple store to ask them what to do. they said contact Garmin. I did and they said it was only apple who could give me the refund. So I found the receipt and clicked on "do you have a problem with this app" and was redirected to Garmin. I called them( I was on hold a long time) and they said I would need to get the refund from apple.... but I can't find a way to do this. If the app had been 99 cents that would have been OK.. I've bought a few duds , but $49.99!!!
How can I get to contact apple store/ App store directly to get the refund.. this has been going on for weeks with me getting the run around from Garmin and apple. PS don't buy this app!!!!

Garmin is sending you to Apple because it is Apple that would have to give you a refund as the actual point of sale.  However, Apple states all sales are final.
Apple is sending you to Garmin because it is Garmin's fault their maps are out of date and Apple doesn't write the software.  They may not even be looking that deeply and simply perceiving it as a programming "bug" it is up to Garmin to solve.
Who know whose fault it is that Garmin isn't getting up to date data to put in their maps.
Ultimately I think you stand the best chance in getting a refund from Apple though it isn't guaranteed.  Apple is the cashier.  You just have to convince them this isn't just a line of code omitted from an application and isn't something that will be soon corrected by Garmin.  Make it clear it isn't a problem with the application running on your device, it is a problem with the data it contains.  Either that or you have to hope Garmin will feel so bad about it they will delve down into their slush fund and send you a refund.
