All of the the letters on my desktop and top toolbar have now turned into the letter a inside a square. I cant read where it should say file, edit nor can i read the names of my programs or hards drives. Please help

Welcome to Discussions - You may have pressed a key sequence that activates Universal Access. Go to System Preferences>Universal Access and make sure all the options are turned off.

The dark bar is caused by the option "Show metadata below image".
Check the settings for the metadata overlays in Grid view (basic and expanded) by clicking the little "badge" icon below the Browser and selecting "Edit". Is the filename still enabled in the list? And in a high enough position to have precedence for other metadata tags, if the space does not suffice to show all selected tags?

My iPhone 5 randomly turned off, so I thought it needed charging. It still didn't turn on which then lead to me replacing the charger. After this didn't work I got the screen, LED panel and battery replaced. The phone still wont turn on

Apple might not sell parts, try getting bits for a Sinclair C5. but many still run around including two of mine.
many genuine repair guys buy old even, faulty, broken even brand new phones just for bits, many sold on auction sites, the seller likely putting the funds back into a new or working second hand unit.
guys, its a bit off knocking them without knowing the individual first and at least thinking first.
Your handset suddenly stopped, don't mean the whole brand or model range is rubbish, kack happens when you have high volume items with millions of transistors inside, just take one. It might have got, condensation - even in your pocket unless you don't sweat (look at the detectors), dropped hard causing a fracture, dropping soft finished it off and now its failed. All conjecture so best shot is wait for the appointment, get advice and have it checked out.
At least Apple have these help centres.

All the links on every page have been replaced by double underlined links that don't go where the links were supposed to go, how do i fix this?

I'm trying to navigate through a site which has links embedded on the page. These links are doubly underlined and do not go where the original link should go. They contain advertisements. I have uninstalled firefox and reinstalled and the problem persists. This renders every page with embedded links useless. What do I have to do to prevent these embedded links from being hijacked by this crap?

You can check for recently installed suspicious or unknown extensions.

I can not fint the texture files, which should have been installed with the CS6 and CC? why?

I installed Photoshop CS6 a while back. Later on I discovered that the texture files where missing, or not included? Later I installed Photoshop CC, to see if the texture files were included here. But no, it was not. As far as I concern, I know that the texture files are included, and should have been installed, but they were not. Someone have any idea why?

In Photoshop CC 2014, Filter Gallery opens the dialog below, and "Texture" is the last folder.

We have 2 iphone 4s which have just been updated with IOS5 and whilst setting up icloud the phone contacts were merged and now i have lost my phone contacts on first iphone 4 which have been replaced with phone contacts from my second iphone 4. help?

We have two Iphone 4 handsets. I updated first handset with IOS5 and activated Icloud with my existing Itunes account details - no problems. I then did the same on the second handset and instead of setting up a different Icloud account for the second hanset I mistakenly used the same details as on the first handset and merged the contacts thinking it would add all contacts to both handsets but it instead replaced contacts from first handset with those from the second handset.
How do I get back my contacts from the first hanset?
I read somewhere Icloud saves the last 3 backups which suggests all my contacts that have disappeared are somewhere but how do i find them ???

Here's how to do it.
1. App Store, iTunes Store should have the same AppleID on Computer and iPhones. (Free to share apps, music and books... )
2. Person A uses the same purchasing account for everything (ie. email, contacts and ...).
3. Person B have the same purchase account see no. 1 (for App Store and iTunes Store) but create a second AppleID for iCal, e-mail, contacts and etc.

How can I reinstall the earlier version that should have been replaced by the new version but has been wiped off of my 10.4.11 and left me with only sufari mac

I attempted to install the new version of Firefox as it would not load my Hotmail account. I clicked 'replace' only to be told the new version could not be installed; I now have no Firefox at all to run on my (10.4.11) Mac Book Pro.
Can anyone let me know if I can reload my previous version of Firefox to use for internet purposes?

I wanted to move my itunes library to external hard drive to make space on my internal hd. Ive been having trouble with backing up and to make a long story short, my music is gone of my hard drive ( internal), im now backing it up from the ipod directly to my external hd, I did it a bit wrong but its getting there anyway. The problem is that now all the song names, artists etc are gone and each one of my 9170 songs are just capital letters, like AURH, so i have no idea what is what. Anyone know what is goin on here and how to fix this?

Yes, the iPad is designed to erase all data, when you connect it to a new computer. It only syncs the data that is on the computer you connect to, to the device. If you don't have your epub and pdf documents on the computer, and set to sync via iTunes.......they will erase.
You need to move the data from the other computer, to the mac. Once they are on the mac, you can connect the iPad, and sync it to the iPad.

Subwoofer not working after HDD have been replaced with SDD

Today I was helping a friend to replace his HDD with the new SDD he bought for his mid 2012 Macbook pro 15. We also got a caddy to replace DVD with old HDD, thus leaving him with two discs (I have already done this couple of times on different macs). After we finished, everything was working fine, both discs running smooth etc. However, after playing a song from iTunes, we noticed that there is no bass whatsoever in the playback. We both are audio engineers and know frequencies pretty good, so everything below 200 Khz cannot be heard. We tested the built-in output with the headphones we are familiar with, and it is working normally. Then we made A/B test with Macbook pro 13 and this particular 15 I am talking about - low freq. are apparently way more transparent comparing to 15, which is insane. So, we checked the positioning of the speakers on the board and figured out that there is a woofer just next to the HDD slot. However, we were careful and did not pull anything or made any physical impact that would kill the woofer.... any ideas or similar experiences? I just returned from an international trip yesterday. I noticed that all my i cloud contacts were erased when I arrived in England. I am very certain that they were all working fine on my phone before I left for the trip. When I go into my messages, only the phone numbers of my contacts exist, not the names of the people. I'm guessing this problem was caused by travelling overseas. How do I get my contacts back. Someone please help!

This happened to me too, and my pictures dissapeared. If you click the number, a drop down menu will appear and you can choose add to exisitig or create new contact. 50% of the time I am able to see the contact in my list the other %50 I have to create a new contact. When you do either of these the name will show versus the number. I think this is a bug with the latest update.

What did you use to download it with? iPad? iPhone? Computer?
If it's an iPad/iPhone, play it using the videos app.
If on the computer, look on the left side of iTunes in the library under movies.
