What do you guys think of having another added list like
HOME>LOGIC PRO & EXPRESS & SHARED FILES?
That way people that come on this forum and the express will be able to upload/download presets that they have or they want.
Main reason is, I've been going through Guitar Amp Pro and it has pretty good presets but if there was more it'll be better, plus the good presets in there are just not enough,Bass Amp as well needs alot of presets
this is the list, not much on my mind right now but i'll think about the rest later..

Delays
Chorus
Quantization settings (DNA grooves)
Mixing/Mastering Tips on different plugings
Even other 3rd party presets like Waves/PSP stuff/ T-Racks etc

Some good templates/autoload that people have made
Everything thats important in music/"LOGIC"
the list goes on, but i think alot of people will also have more to add, hopefully
Being able to have this added with the Forums right next to LOGIC PRO & EXPRESS will be a great idea, that way both pros, newbies, express, and others will be able to share tips, tricks, settings, presets, and other beautiful things
thats just a thought, if anyone has anything to add on please do so in a formal way that doesn't affect or insult anyone

I very much doubt that Apple would be willing to facilitate file trading, even of presets, on the Discussions. But you can make the suggestion to the Discussions Moderators in the Discussions Feedback area.

they are looking for. So I created different views. However, when I select the view from within the Web Part, it changes the web part page to the list view page. I must be doing something wrong. How do I configure the list view to show
the selected view and results within the existing "list view web part"?

Sorry, but this has not been answered to my liking. The "List View Web Part" has the ability for the user to select the view from within the web part, so there you should be able to select a different view and have it appear within the same web part.
Does anyone know how to complete this task?

Mavericks has broken most stock apps, app store ,preview, messages, facetime ect the list goes on they bounce in the menu then nothing its been like that since installing mavericks fixed briefly by reinstalling but then stopped again very quickly

You most likely ran a defective third-party "utility" such as "CleanMyMac" or "MacCleanse" that purports to "clean up" "junk" files. What it really does is to corrupt the operating system and many applications.
The first thing you need to do is remove that software according to the developer's instructions. Never install it, or anything like it, again. Then see below.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.9 ("Mavericks"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.

Client certificate authentication fails when the CA list sent by server is big and the list goes in 2 encrypted messages.

I checked with IE browser(on windows and MAC) and MAC safari packet capture. The CA certificate list is sent by server in 2 messages as the list is too big. I compared packet by packet exchanges in both the browsers. It is same till TLSv1 handshake is done for the ldap certificate authentication. It works fine in IE without any issues though the certificate list is divided into 2 messages.
In case of safari, after the TLSv1 handshake is done successfully, it again sends a SSLv3 'Client Hello' message and initiates the whole handshake process again and the server responds to it too till the handshake is complete. But it brakes after that with the server showing 'Cant establish secure connection' at the browser.
The issue occurs only in case of MAC safari for big list of CA certs >150(where it crosses the max limit) from server. It is not clear why safari alone is switching from TLSv1 to SSLv3 in this scenario.
NOTE: With shorter list of CA certs at server when it goes in one message, safari works fine and all messages are only TLSv1 and does not repeat the handshake process.
I have checked on safari version 5 and 6.0.3 on OS X mountain lion.

I received my 6GB Zen Micro for Christmas of 05. Only recently (within the past few weeks) have I encountered the headphone jack problem. While that was the only problem, today everything seemed to go downhill. I am not sure if everything in the top of the player near all the ports is loose. When it was on, if I applied even the slightest pressure to try and get volume to rectify the headphone jack issue for a second, it turned off. Then it started happening it any pressure was applied to the top in general. And then it turned off if pressure was applied to the back near the battery.
I have also experienced something on the Zen I haven't seen before. It loaded a screen that said "Low Battery" and had a battery in the center of the screen. The battery is not low and I have never seen this before!
I am also having tremendous difficulty trying to turn the player on as of this evening. It just won't turn on!
The USB connection is also being tempermental. It worked once or twice this evening to power it on, but for the most part it has not! The odd time it has loaded and I have managed to sync a few files (because I had to wipe the whole dri've) it has only played for a second and then it says "Shutting Down". I restart it, and it says this again only 3 seconds after turning it on and hearing a second or two of music. Just this instant after several attempts of turning it on, I got it on (I removed the back part a few times). It is playing the one of the songs on it fine (minus of course the fact that audio is only coming out of the left headphone). And all of one second later it just said Shutting Down (though I got audio in both headphones for one sec).
All of this problems started with the headphone jack problem that I recognized and intially thought was due to some mistreatment of the player. I think all these problems are related to something. Maybe the top has all become loose and wobbly or something. I don't know!
I am not sure what to do! If I send it back, they will obviously find the headphone jack problem (if they manage to turn the bloody thing on), but what about my other issues! I want a complete replacement, not just a repair. I have heard nothing but dreadful news from people who have been sent back the same product with the same problem.

It looks as if there's a problem with your GPU. With a Retina machine, that would mean replacement of just about everything, except, perhaps, the flash storage drive.
Print you kernel panic when you go to your Apple Store appointment. I'm betting that it's a faulty GPU but they will be able to diagnose exactly where the problem lies.

Upgraded to Yosemite It's a nightmare!! Itunes and Safari will not open Iphoto does not exist and the list goes on!!

I've spent all day trying to fix all the problems I'm encountered after updating to Yosemite on my MacBook Pro today. It's been a waste of a day. Nothing I have researched has helped. I wish I never updated. What is ironic that most of the things that do not work or Apple i products. I don't understand cloud but have a feeling this is the cause of most of the problems.
After update my computer prompted me to say cannot connect to Icloud Drive (What I don't understand I cloud and didn't know I had an Icloud drive).
Itunes will not open at all and it does not even try to open(I've downloaded it again to no avail).
Iphoto has a Circle slash mark through it so it's not even avaliable.
Safari will not open just like Itunes.
Icloud in preferences just keeps spinning like it's looking for Icloud drive. (Even though I don't use this I feel it is the problem)
So I have no access to my music, my photos cannot get on the internet with Safari Browser.
I'm afraid of what else probably doesn't work but I've been so consumed with the top three I haven't got to really explore the rest of all the apps.
My main concern at the moment are my pictures and my music.

iPhoto is still in your Applications folder. Your iPhoto Library is still where it was.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Yosemite, Mavericks, Mountain Lion or Lion
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
Now, download and install the OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 Combo Update.

So what happens if you go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General? Are you able to go there at all? If you are able to go there, can you unlock the preferences using the lock in the lower left and your login name and password?
If you are able to do this, can you change the "Allow applications downloaded from:" to Anywhere?

I have no music, two computers, no USB 2 port...and the list goes on and on

I am having several issues with my new 5th generation iPod. I would really appreciate the help of some intelligent soul out there...
First, I installed iTunes to my computer at home, which would did not recognize my iPod, even after I installed a USB 2 port. I proceeded to download songs under the impression that I could download these songs to my iPod from another computer if I entered my apple ID account information. My first question: Can I access the previously downloaded songs on iTunes from another computer and have it downloaded to my iPod?
Secondly, I have installed iTunes at my office computer also, which does recognize my iPod. When I sign on to my account, my previously downloaded songs are not visible in my library. Okay, so I got over that. I downloaded more music from the office computer and when I attempted to download the music to the iPod, I received a message that stated that music could not be downloaded. Basically, the message seem to indicate that the iPod was not registered to the computer. Second question: Is there a way to download music from another computer if you have already established an account with a previous computer?
Now keep in mind that I have read every manual and I have gone through every self-help technical support suggestion. I have contacted the Apple store and the Apple 1-800 number for technical assistance. I did not receive any information that was helpful to me at all, so I am putting my faith in the people...Please help me, all I want to do is listen to my music on my iPod.

When you say download, does this mean you purchased them from the ITMS?
If you did, you need to get the music into iTunes on this computer.
Log into the iTunes Music Store.
Play the song(s). They will now be "authorized" to play on this comuter.
If they are not DRM protected (just ripped from a CD), then no problem. Just add/import these songs into iTunes.

Missing views dropdown on list view web part.

I asked this before, and it got moved to "admin" with no replies. I really need to know this. I think it may be appropriate for design and customization, because I think that's what the solution may require. It doesn't appear to be an "admin" issue.
Any help will be gratefully received. I am very frustrated by this. The "View:" dropdown list on the right side of the list view web part for my document libraries is not available. The truly weird thing is that in a few cases, it is there, but I can't tell any difference between those web parts or DLs and the ones without the views drop-down. I have defined several public views for each document library. There are no "closed" web parts on the page (which was one suggestion I got).
I can't figure out why the views menu sometimes appears and sometimes does not, when there appears to be no way to control it. Can anyone enlighten me or suggest how I can make it appear? My users are threatening to demand a separate web part for each view (there are hundreds). I may have trouble using SPD on the client's site.

That works if the Web Part was Closed, but does not help if the user deleted the Web Part.
After some digging around in SharePoint Designer and in SharePoint itself, I have a solution for restoring the View dropdown after the out-of-the-box List View Web Part has been deleted. This solution can be accomplished without SharePoint Designer if you are working with a library, but to clean out the views from a list, you will need SharePoint Designer. I am doing this in MOSS 2007 SP1, but it should work for WSS 3.0 as well.
For this example, I am using a document library called Public Documents and my View is allitems.aspx, but this should work for any list or library.
Here are the steps for bringing back the View dropdown:
1.       Navigate to the list or library that is missing the View dropdown
2.       Go to Site Actions > Edit Page > Add a Web Part . In the Lists and Libraries section, check the box next to the Public Documents library and click the Add button.
3.       Within the new Web Part, go to edit > Modify Shared Web Part and change the Toolbar Type to “Full Toolbar”. Click the OK button.
4.       Click the link to Exit Edit Mode and you should have the Full Toolbar for the list/library displayed, but it is still missing the View dropdown menu.
5.       Go to Settings > Create View .
6.       Choose Standard View .
7.       Name the view, check the “Make this the default view” box, select the columns to include, and click the OK button.
8.       Voila, the View dropdown menu is back on the site.
9.       To completely clean it up, for a list, open in SharePoint Designer and delete the allitems.aspx view from the Forms folder. For a library, you can go to the Actions menu and select Open with Windows Explorer . Open the Forms folder (you may need to show hidden files to see this folder) and delete the allitems.aspx view. If you do not have access to SharePoint Designer and you are working in a list, you will need to delete the link on the Quick Launch and add again to point to your new view name.
10.   If the View you deleted was the default for the list or library, it may remove the link from the Quick Launch. It can be added again by going to View All Site Content , selecting the appropriate list or library, going into its Settings menu, and modifying the Title, description and navigation settings to show on the Quick Launch.

List View Web part not showing all available views for list

We have added a list view web part to a page, and we get the "Current View" link in the web part...which is configurable when modifying the actual web part.
What we'd like to see (instead of having to click the ellipses button/context menu to get the other views) is the views displayed horizontally like when you are viewing the list itself.
When viewing the list itself, we see "All Items" "View 1" "View 2", etc.
Is this possible in the list view web part to display all available views in a horizontal/breadcrumb layout? Please advise.

The below works via alert, just need to now assign data to a <DIV> or element for display.

SharePoint 2010 List View Web Part not showing for read-only users?

Hello all,
I have List View Webparts on my Blank Web Part page, and it's not showing for Read-Only users.
Is this intended by Microsoft or is it a bug?

According to your post, my understanding is that the read only user could not see the list view web part.
Per my knowledge, the issue may be cause that the user do not have the proper permission for the list.
1. Check whether the user can access the list.
2. Check whether the user can view all the items instead of partial items in the list.
3. Check whether there are some fields refer to other lists or terms, especially the lookup field or managed metadata filed.
If that is the case, make sure the user can access the lookup list.

Compound filtering xslt list view web part with _dopostback using javascript/jquery

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to filter the list view web part with more than one filters.
I recommend to use the OOB Choice Filter web part to achieve this goal.
Edit the page where the list view web part exists and then add the Choice Filter web parts to the page based on your need.

External List: List View Web Part query never returns

I am experiencing an usual issue in our development SharePoint 2013 environment. I have been troubleshooting it for a couple hours, so thought it is time to post a message here.
I have created a number of external content types and lists on our site. I have validated that the lists display the expected data.
However, when I add a page to our site, and add a list view web part to the page, and point the list view web part at the external list, I get unexpected behavior. While I am editing the page, the web part displays the expected data. However, after
I publish the page, when you browse to the page, all you get is the rotating green arrow gif image, and no data. It displays the image forever. If you then attempt to edit the page, in the editor, you can then see the expected data.
Any thoughts on what might be causing this issue? I have tried switching out web parts, both to the Business Data List and the Content Query web part. The Content Query web part throws an exception if you attempt to point it at any of the external lists,
which after some reading I discovered that this is a known issue with that web part.
The Business Data list web part shows the expected data, but I have been unable to get paging/grouping working with that web part yet.

I have recreated this issue on a clean site collection. I have also discovered this issue only occurs with publishing pages, not site pages. next step is to try to reproduce it on another share point 2013 install.

Event Receiver to get folder Names from List View Web Part

Hi,
We have a requirement i.e.
On one of the page,there are some folders on the list view web part.
Now through event receiver i should pick the folder names from list view web part and
update the same in the list.
If that names already exists in the list then we should leave without updating,if not we have to add folder name in the list.
Please share your ideas regarding the same.

Hello,
LVWP is just for displaying content of site so you need to associate your event receiver with actual list/library. You can create ItemAdded event receiver to check existing folder and create new if not existing. "sk2014" links are good to start.

ECT List View Web Part displaying incorrect data when View Item

I have a External Content Type which pulls data from a stored procedure. The stored procedure has 1 parameter - the users logon id. The data retrieved is a list of meetings with start date time, end date time, location, subject, etc. From this ECT there
is an External List which displays all data correctly.
There is 2 pages within the site and its subsites that have list view web parts which display a subset of the info from the external list. When the user clicks a specific meeting to display the complete info on the meeting, the wrong information is displayed,
it always displays the info for the 1st meeting in the list. So, I displayed the BDC Identity field on the list and this field is identical for all the rows since the key for the ECT is the username and hence not unique.
I've spent all day trying to finding a way to resolve this and have come up empty. I've tried to find a way to make the BDC Identity field to be unique, using Business Data View web part, Data View web part, and nothing.
The user needs to be able to click the My Meetings url header on the above pages to see a full list of their meetings so I need the external list. Any ideas how to make the BDC Identity field unique or how to get the View Item on the List View web part to
work correctly?

I resolved the non unique BDC Identity problem by simply adding the row # to the Username in the stored procedure so the BDC Identity fields on the list records are now unique (although they're really long ie. __bk44003500070057003700560027000200140037003700f600360096001600470056003300,
__bk44003500070057003700560027000200140037003700f600360096001600470056004300 etc). Not sure how it generates the BDC Identity?
I still see the same behaviour when you select a meeting to display the details. It always displays the 1st record in the list.
I added code to the DispForm to display the ID when the page loads and the BDC Identity from the record and verfied that they do match.
I can add another parameter to the stored procedure and just return the row # in that field. What do you mean by make the identifire as Identity in operations?
