The new version of iTunes is being a *******. HELP!

When I download new singles, they show up in my library in "Unknown Album" under "Unknown Artist", but all the info is there when I look. Also, it won't even let me import songs into my library. Is it JUST ME?!?!

I tried to install the ipod software for my new Nano - I got to the point of regeristring my ipod - and then the program bombed. I then tried to update Itunes - the installation vould not be completed...Message: The installation was interupted before completeing - the system was not modified and try back later. The main issue is that now I have no access to Itunes. The installation or lack there of removed the old version. I have read all of the help topics - I am at a totally loss. Easy peasy!
1. Highlight all the songs you want to remove the artwork from.
2. Pull down File > Get Info (Apple+I on the keyboard)
3. Click the checkbox next to the "artwork" panel.
4. Click OK and the artwork will be removes.
For individual tracks:
1. Hightlight the track.
2. Get Info.
3. Click the Artwork tab.
4. Click the artwork, click Delete, click OK.

Never heard of that being caused by installing iTunes. Try asking on a Windows forum. This isn't a problem with iTunes or any other Apple product. If you believe it is, uninstall iTunes. If the problem persists, you'll have to seek advice on a Windows forum or contact Microsoft for support.

Which I get. But clicking on that link you provided does not give you the option of choosing between 32 and 64 bit installers.
Yeah, that was certainly a 32-bit installer file being referred to in the other message, too. (The 64-bit installer file is called iTunes64Setup.exe.)
Just in case it's an issue with your normal browser not working properly with the system-detection equipment on the page (there's a javascript control that checks for operating system specifics, and is supposed to deliver the correct Mac or Windows installers), let's try a different web browser for the download. If you use Firefox instead of IE (or vice versa), do you get offered an iTunes64Setup.exe instead of an iTunesSetup.exe?

I have just upgraded to the new version of itunes on windows7 and now albums added post udgrade wont play when added to ipod.

I have just upgraded to the new version of itunes on windows 7. I have just added 8 albums (Mp3 format) to my itunes library, synced with my Ipod classic and my wifes ipod nano, the albums have transferred to the devices but wont play when selected. Yet they will play in itunes.
When I select the album on the ipod, it opens up as normal but when you press play nothing happens other than a wining sound from the hard drive of the ipod.
My itunes library is a mix of itune purchases and mp3 purchases and this is the first time I have experienced this issue

Do I have to sync?
If you have iPod classic, iPod nano, or iPod shuffle: You have to sync your device with iTunes. There’s no other way to add content to it.

Select items to sync automatically

Add items to your device manually
You can manually add music, movies, TV shows, apps, podcasts, and iTunes U lessons to your device. You can’t manually add photos, books, contacts, or other info.
Make sure your device is connected.
From anywhere in your iTunes library, begin dragging the items you want to add.
A pane with a list of connected devices appears on the left.
Drag the items to your device in the list until a blue border appears.
The items are added to your device.
Keep items from being automatically synced
If there are some items you never want synced (for example, if they’re too big to fit on your device), you can keep them from being synced.
You can also turn off automatic syncing for music, movies, and TV shows. You must do this if you want to sync iPod classic, iPod nano, or iPod shuffle with more than one iTunes library, or automatically fill your device with songs using Autofill (see the next task, below).
Connect your device to your computer.
Click the device button, then click Summary.
Do any of the following:

Fill your device with a random selection of songs using Autofill
If you don’t want to always hear the same music on your device, you can have iTunes fill it with a random selection of songs by using Autofill.
To use Autofill, you must turn off automatic syncing for music and videos (see instructions above).
Connect your device to your computer and click the device button near the top left of the iTunes window.
Click On My Device.
Select Music in the sidebar on the left.
Choose which songs you want to sync from the Autofill pop-up menu at the bottom of the Music pane.
To adjust Autofill settings, click Settings.
When you’re done, click OK.
Click Autofill, then click Sync.
Each time you use Autofill, iTunes adds different songs to your device.
Remove items from your device
Make sure your device is connected, then do one of the following:
Remove an item that was synced automatically: Do any of the following, then sync your device:
Deselect the checkbox for the item in your iTunes library, and select “Sync only checked [items]” in the Summary pane.
If the item was added because it’s part of a synced playlist, remove the item from the playlist.
Change your sync settings to keep the item from being synced.
Remove an item that was added manually or using Autofill: Click On My Device, select an item (or items), press the Delete key, and click Delete.
The types of content you can sync depends on your device. For more information, see the documentation for your device.
You can sync multiple devices with your iTunes library, and use different settings for each device.
Important:    Before disconnecting iPod classic, iPod nano, or iPod shuffle from your computer, click the Eject button .

Look in your Home > Music folder. There should be an iTunes folder there and it should have a number of files and folders including one called library.itl You want to guide iTunes to that file. If you don't see that file or folder then in your next post you will have to be very specific as to what you do see or how you have your iTunes set up because that's where it should be according to default settings.

It seems that the new version of Itunes has conflicted with my CD/DVD drive because when I uninstalled and re installed the itunes my drive has stopped working and I now have an error code of 19 - Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) I have tried to update drivers but I am up to date, I have installed and re installed my drive this did not solve the problem. I am now at a loss as to what to do I have had a live chat with microsoft and they could not reslove it all they wanted to do was sell me another service!!!
