Try using the pre installed Image Capture app in your Applications folder.
Connect the scanner to your Mac whether Wi-Fi or USB.
Launch Image Capture.
Click the very small black box bottom left side of the Image Capture window.
You'll see this pop up menu: Connecting this (device) opens:
You can select a default app to scan (Image Capture) and select a folder from the Imort To pop up menu on the right to save scanned files to.

Use the Setup (wrench icon) button on the front of the printer to look through the settings menu to set the printer time and date.

I am using mac osx 10.8 and now cant get print software for epson R2000 printer.

After system update, my Epson Stylus SX 535WD was ''gone''. I tried in vain to add it as an IP printer (got the IP-address from the printer). The printer model is correctly recognized, software download starts -- but then the "software ... is not currently available..."
Resetting the printing system did not help. Downloading Epson Printer Drivers v2.15.1 from here
did not help either, downloading Epson Printer Drivers.
In the end, I re-installed the printer software from the original CDs. After that the printer showed up as a Bonjour Printer, and I could add it without problem.
But note: although the printer is installed now and working properly, I still get the old error message (...software ..not available...) if I try to add the printer as an IP printer !?

How do i remove the printhead on hp 1600xi all in one printer?

I keep getting the message remove and check cartridge on the display of my hp 1600xi all in one printer. I've replaced the ink cartridges. Turned it off, and on. Unplugged it, and plugged it back in. I still get that message. The only other thing that I can think of is to replace the printhead. Any suggestions on how to do this?

I would recommend removing the cartridges and performing a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also suggest this document on Ink Smears or Streaks.

L7555 all in one printer says rear access panel is open, its not

Hp officejet pro L7555 all in one printer. I had a paper jam which i cleared however the Door open rear access panel is open keeps coming up. I cleaned the contacts with a lint free towel and an eraser. I have powered down the printer nothing works. Help

What a mess you are having. This is horrible. I have Iyogi support on my computers witch takes care of ever thing but you have to pay them for subcriptions. I know they spent about fours setting up my HP C410a photosmart all in one with fax. They were zipping around every where from defauts settings, comand promt and services to the routers reset web page. Most of the time spent was just waiting for the software to install. I just ran into a snag what is your computers Windows 7 ? bits. I need to know this so you are downloading the right software pack. Then I will post directions on how to install them one at a time switch from one printer to another using devices and printers. In the mean time please go to programs and features and uninstall any printers software that maybe listed. So we can have a fresh start. I need your computers bit information. Thank you frrw. Soon as you post the requested information needed.I will post on how to get them installed. Thank you frrw.

Replacement Model for the discontinued HP Photosmart C4783 All-in-One Printer

Can anyone tell if there is a very similar replacement model for the C4783? I need the same forn factor.

I am not sure you can find replacement models for this printer but I will do my best to find out. The entire product line for Photosmart C4600 and C4700 are the last models to use that same printer shape and size. I checked for compatible printers that used that kind of ink and none even looked like the same kind of printer. The next generation was the Photosmart D110 which would have been the possible upgraded version of this printer but it is hard to say if it is going to have the same "forn factor."
Are you referring to the form factor as the chassis or as an electrical component? I found your exact model of printer at the HP Parts Store listed as a replacement model (product #: Q8380B) suggesting to contact one of these available resellers. I hope this answers your questions. If not, define forn factor and hopefully I can help you more.

First, select your operating system Microsoft Windows Vista (64-bit).
Click Submit.
Click the blue Download button.
Click Next, then follow the prompts for the HP Download and Install Assistant.

How do I find the email address for my all in one printer 6500 e709n? I am trying to sign in for e print and can not get past this page.

For the type of printer you have it would not be added this way, those are only for ePrinters. What you can do is go back to the main screen of the app. From here choose a photo or document. At this point just above the print button on the bottom there is a small icon of a printer with a wrench, touch on this. Then along the top there is an option to select a printer, touch this, it shouldpull up a list of printers it detects on the network.
The main reason for actually adding a printer is so that it will be there even when you are not at home, so that it can eprint. With other printers you do not need to add it, just simply select it when you go to print.

DeskJet All in One printer cartridge compatibility

Hi there. I hope you can help me. So my dad gave me this wonderful printer, the DeskJet 2544 all in one. Unfortunately, the tri. Color cartridge ran out. I was about to shop online on the HP website but there was no 301 tri color CH562E like the one installed on mine. I was thinking if I can buy other cartridges that can be an alternative? For example, the deskjet 2540 all in one uses HP 61 cartridge. Can I order and use that?<br><br>Also, what is the difference of a deskjet all in one printer and a DESKJET INK ADVANTAGE all in one printer? Can I use cartridges from that?<br><br>Thank you. Was the printer purchased on one country but you are in another? If so you will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work. HP's web page on the subject is here.
You can find the correct cartridges for your area from the HP SureSupply site.

HP Officejet 4500 Desktop All-in-One Printer - G510a and Windows 8.1

The drivers for this do not seem to work on Windows 8.1. Whilst I can print no problem I cannot access the solution centre from my new laptop and i cannot scan. It gives me the message No scan options refer to device documentation to troubleshoot. It works fine on my old laptop which has Windows XP installed.
NB i have tried installing from your website and when i click on install it runs for a few seconds then sends the error message that it cannot find the file.
Does this mean that the HP Officejet 4500 Desktop All-in-One Printer - G510a is not fully compatible with Windows 8.1. Help please I am getting very frustrated.

Welcome to the HP Forums!
I see that your are getting the specified file cannot be found error, during the installation.
Please try the following:
1.) Check that IE pop-up blockers are turned off before downloading the installer. Internet Explorer Pop-up Blocker: frequently asked questions.
Then try the install.
2. If you're running McAfee Live Safe or any other firewall, please temporarily disable the "real time scanning". Turn off real-time scanning.
Then try the install.
3. Go to the start screen (you may also press the windows key + R to open the run box) and type %WINDIR% this should show the windows folder.
Click on the folder and scroll until you see files. Look for a filed named "HPWINS*.DAT" (the * is for a number that varies) remove this file and try the installation.
Then try the install.

HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer/Mac OS 10.6/can't scan multiple pages as single document/file

In the HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer support page for scanning with a full feature driver installed. Under "How to scan a multi-page original into a single file for HP Scan software version 4.0. Everything is OK until after I've scanned the documents and clicked "Done". (Step # 6) & Click Send , click Folder , name your file, and then save the file to the computer.(Step # 7)
This is where I go wrong. I can't find the Format drop-down menu to complete Steps 8 & 9.
Click the Format drop-down menu, select Contents , and then check the box to Save all items to a single file .
Click Save .
