The Recording Padding Issue

Things have been a bit quiet recently with the padding problem i.e. Recording 2 things and then recording another 2 on different channel causes 1 of the recordings to have a black screen and no program.
But, tonight I recorded a load of programs....and they all worked! I would have expected 2 of them to fail. Has there been an update in the past few days that could have resolved this long standing issue or am I being too hopeful Anyone else noticed any improvement?

It happened to me most nights and I could always reproduce it. I record everything and then watch the recording rather than 'live' TV, so I can skip through the adverts. At 8 I used to have to wait around for the recordings to finish and then start, so that I could sort out the 1 recording that I knew would fail....but not last night.
The first 2 switched off at 8 and, more importantly, the second 2 didn't start recording until 8, rather than 7.58. The padding worked. All programs were on different channels, so it was a decent test.

Issue in retrieving all the records from ADF Table with multiple row

Hi,
As per my requirement, I need to fill the table with multi selected LOV values and when user clicks on commit, I need to save them to database.
I am using ADF 11g, Multi select table. Using the below ADD method, I am able to add the records but if user clicks on cancel, I need to remove those from view and clear the table as well.
But the Issue I am facing is, in my cancel method, always I am getting half of the records. Lets assume table contains 100 records but in my cancel method, I am getting only 50 records.
Please let me know what is the issue in my source code.

Issue in generating space at end of the records.

Hi All,
    i am working on a outbound flat file interface.i
    have a issue in generating the spaces at end of each
    record.
    for ex.,
    My record in the file should contain 80 chars each
    line, in which it will contain values till 74
    characters and the rest 6 chars should have a blank
    space.
    we were able to generate space in the file using
    class "CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES".
    But this text file when converted to HEX file, the
    end of the record has values as 20 20 20 20 C2 A0 or
    some junk values.But as per the requirement the HEX
    file should display the end of the record as 20 20 20
    20 20 20.
    Please let me know how i should generate spaces in
    the text file and at the same time proper Records in
    HEX file(i.e., 20(value for space in HEX)).

hi,
empty space at the end of the record will be ignored if you download the file.
So use an END OF RECORD character like ',' or '.' or some other symbol & give you 6 or 7 characters blank space at the end, will work for you.
now you will able to see total 80 characters(may be with spaces) & 81st will your END OF RECORD indicator.
YOur legacy system will take only first 80 characters not the total records (in this case 81)

Issue while Creating the records in OAF by disabling one field.

Hi Experts,
I am having the scenario like this.
From the OAF page I want to create the record by omitting one field(it is disable for OAF).
Consider the folowing scenario..
I am having the following fields Empno,Empname,Salary,Job in the OAF page where I made the Job field alone as disable and the style i am using for job field is message text input and i have set the initial value as 'Manger'.
I am facing issue while creating the records in OAF page without the job filed value ie 'Manager' then the records were not inserted into my tables. Whereas if I enable the job field in OAF page(meaning I gave the job as 'Manager' in OAF page) I am able to create the records from OAF page and able get inserted in the database.
Could Anyone can suggest where I fail as it is my Priority issue.
Any Suggestion will be a great help for me.

In PP01 transaction i tried to save the record using this relationship.but there i am getting one issue that is showing below
"ERROR WHILE ADDING".
my evaluation path and relation ship showed successfully in ALLOWED RELATIONSHIP option.please help me to rectify this issue.

I would hold fire at the moment as I think its too early to be changing router security - I have no inside information but like many I suspect its a combination of firmware updates to routers and a patch needed on the iPad. I'm not that familiar with how FaceTime works. I know how to set It up but I don't use it. I just know that you can't activate in the UAE. I believe that you can activate in any country that permits it's use. Whether you will need a new ID or not, I can't confirm.
You can Google this and get all sorts of articles on workarounds. Apparently if you set up a VPN you can use it in the UAE. Here is one article that I found.

Error while saving the records in the database

Hi,
I am running into a wierd error.
I have built a new page which contains the information about the employees. Some of the fields are updatable fields. The page shows the details of the person who logs into the page.
I am not using EO in this page. The data is queried from the database from VO and displayed in the page and when the records are updated, they are saved in the databased using pl/sql procedure which is
being called from AM. So i am basically not using VO to save the records in the database.
The error which i am getting is,
If 2 users are trying to update the page at the same time, user A's details are updated in user B's page.
This is really causing the issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

IPhone 4s Voice Memo App has 5 second delay when the record button is pressed. When it starts recording, it goes from 0 seconds to 5 or so seconds recorded. This happens randomly and often and sometimes has the delay but starts at zero. Solution Anyone?

The reason I have an issue with this is that I'm always recording song ideas, melodies, and scratch takes; what I'm saying is when I come up with an idea I need to be able to know that when I hit record it will start right then so I don't forget anything that has just popped in my mind.

OATS - Browser is not getting launched when I click on the record button.

Hi,
I've just installed Oracle Application Testing Suite in my machine. During the installation process I was intimated that the EmpAppServer in the installation path does not contain the jboss binaries. However, it allowed me to continue with the installation.
I've installed the OATS and the OpenScript. I need to record scripts for a web application. Now when I click on the record button, the browser is not being launched. I don't get any error message too. I'm not sure if this issue has got anything to do with jboss.
Can someone please help me out?

Try to run the batch files in the OpenScript directory to disable and re-enable the browser helpers. Which browser do you have OpenScript set to launch, IE or FF? Which version of IE and FF are installed on your machine?

How to proces the record in Table with multiple threads using Pl/Sql & Java

I have a table containing millions of records in it; and numbers of records also keep on increasing because of a high speed process populating this table.
I want to process this table using multiple threads of java. But the condition is that each records should process only once by any of the thread. And after processing I need to delete that record from the table.
Here is what I am thinking. I will put the code to process the records in PL/SQL procedure and call it by multiple threads of Java to make the processing concurrent.

But the problem is how can I restrict a record not to pick by another thread while processing(So it should not processed multiple times) ?

I can change the structure of table to add any new column if needed.

Check if you can use the bucket logic in your PLSQL code..
By bucket I mean if you can make multiple buckets of your data to be processed so that each bucket contains the different rows and then call the PLSQL process in parallel.
Lets say there is a column create_date and processed_flag in your table.
Your PLSQL code should take 2 parameters start_date and end_date.
Now if you want to process data say between 01-Jan to 06-Jan, a wrapper program should first create 6 buckets each of one day and then call PLSQL proc in parallel for these 6 different buckets.

Hello, Everybody, I'm using Adobe Captivate 7. I want to show quiz results after recording the software simulation. If the recording type is training, the user need to click for the instructions. When the user's click is wrong, the captivate will show the failure message and I want to reduce my score due to the wrong click. Please give me a instructions. Thanks!!!

I face this error message when I try to 'process update' a dimention, sometime it works but sometime it failed with the error below:

My environment: Window Server 2008 R2+SQL Server 2008 R2.
Note: this issue can be resolved by full cube process, but I can't to that every time if it failed, just want to know what happen at backend of SSAS, It block me neary 2 week without any finding, really appreciate that someone can help on this.
I have do some research with google, I think the root cause here is not TopCount function(It may be a problem with SQL Server2005), also not the size limitation of 4GB size of .astore file.(I check the size of my cube under 'Data\XXX.db\' folder, which only
have few MB size).

Here is a microsoft fix
FIX: "File system error" occurs when you try to run a process update operation on a dimension in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services and in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Analysis Services
In your acenario, in order to fix this issue, please apply the latest Cumulative update and Service Pack according to your SQL Server version. Besides, there are two workarounds in that fix, plese try it and check if it works or not.

Windows Server 2008: Sysprep Error: Error [0x0f0073] SYSPRP RunExternalDlls:Not running DLLs; either the machine is in an invalid state or we couldn't update the recorded state, dwRet = 32[gle=0x00000020]

I have a base template (which has never been sysprep'd) from which I create linked clones. After the linked clone comes up, I run the following command:
c:\windows\system32\sysprep\sysprep.exe /generalize /oobe /reboot /unattend:c:\windows\panther\unattend.xml
This works fine for the first few linked clones, but after about 3-4 linked clones are running, I start to hit "A fatal error occurred while trying to sysprep the machine."

This is typical of an OEM license issue.
To avoid this in the future you should look at site/volume licensing.
Anyway.
so, first check if you can re-arm by runing the
slmgr.vbs /dlv and check the re-arm counter, if it set to zero.. you need to do the following :
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929828 (set the <SkipRearm>1</SkipRearm> like in the example, note: this option will make the product key window to appear in the setup process).
you can also try running : slmgr.vbs -rearm, to rearm Windows.
after that, let's come back to the sysprep process.. for syspreping already syspreped machine we have to change few keys in the registry :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\Status\SysprepStatus\GeneralizationState\
CleanupState:2
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\Status\SysprepStatus\GeneralizationState\
GeneralizationState:7
After done with the registry, do the following :
Start -> Run : msdtc -uninstall (wait few seconds)
Start -> Run : msdtc -install (wait few seconds)
Restart the machine
Check the registry for the right registry keys values
sysprep with the new XML answerfile.
