The Yahoo search engine is not listed as an add-on or extention, but there it is at the top of my home page. How do I get rid of it?

When I check the tools/add-on/extensions , the Yahoo toolbar is not listed as being on my PC. Therefore, I cannot uninstall it. Nevertheless, it is positioned to the right of the Firefox address bar, taking up unnecessary room.

Check the Window control panel for Yahoo.
* From the Start menu, select Control Panel
* Open the list of installed programs:
** If in icon view, click Programs and Features
** If in category view, under "Programs", click Uninstall a program
* In the list of programs select the program, and then click Uninstall.

Lock symbol is rotation lock : depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can lock rotation either by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon; press home again to exit the taskbar. hello, this sounds like a problem possibly caused by adware on your pc. please go to ''firefox > addons > extensions'' & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] & [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner].

Mac Book Pro - while browsing the internet, i hear ads but do not see them. an ad will start talking while i am watching netflix or anything else but there is no window to close. what is this and how do i get rid of it?

iOS 7 allows you to have your apps update automatically. Therefore, the list of what has been updated stays so that you can see what was updated, when and what the release notes say. It has been suggested that they list has a limit, much like Recents. Currently, there is no way for the user to delete the entries manually. Just try not to look at them.

If you used iTunes to get the photos on the phone, then use the same iTunes and uncheck the music you don't want and do another sync.

Swipe through your screens and swipe to the left of your Home screen. Type in App Store in the search field. It's a permanent pre installed Apple app so it can't be deleted.
If you can't locate it on the iPad for some reason, connect the device to your computer. Right or control click the iPad under Devices left side of the iTunes window then click: Restore from backup

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.

* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar

Those look alot like file names and not infection names. I don't find any reference to anything like that on Norton or VirusTotal. Since you said these were Trojans, I would expect to see "Trojan" as part of the infection name.
".jar" files are executable Java applets. The random alpha-numerics would seem to indicate a cache file, likely from a browser with Java enabled. And we all know what ".zip" means.
Worst case is that you had Java enabled in a browser and were infected by one of the late variants of the Flashback Trojan over a year ago or one of a couple of other attacks using the same vulnerability but targetted against a small number of political sympathizers. Much more probable is that thes were Windows only Trojans. Hopefully you have a fully up-to-date OS X, including Java, and have disabled Java in all your browsers by now.
