Hi everyone. I'm sure this is a really silly problem but I can't find enough info on the internet to fix it. I'm working with EAS and am trying to create a rules file and popping up the data using SQL. When I go to File ->Open SQL I get the error message (see subject).
I'm using EAS from my machine (Client) and have the server as a Virtual Machine provided by oracle. The SO on the VM is linux. We checked the odbc.ini files and seems to be ok.
Any thoughts?

In our environment essbase server is installed on HP-UX, so I can tell you only how it works here:
open EssbaseServerInstallPath/AnalyticServices/hyperionenv.doc and search for the ODBCINI variable. Our file looks like:

The variable is also set in our .profile.

A couple of possibilities.
First are you licensed for Sql interface? If not, you might get that message.
Second, where did you create the ODBC connection on your computer or the server. It has to be on the server.
Third, did you create the odbc as a system driver? it needs to be so
Fourth, what operating system? If it's unix or AIX there is a hole bunch more you need to do to get odbc connections working. If it's windows, it's pretty easy.
Fifth, did you test the connection before trying it in Essbase?

ICloud full but there are no data to restore

my iphone was crased and I lost all data on that device.
I want to restore it but, there are no data from iCloud to restore.
iCloud show me that there are usage 5GB, but there are no data.

Are there any new data sources?

Hi I have a doubt. Please clarify.
Are there any new data sources for 2LIS_01_S001, 2LIS_11_VAHDR, 2LIS_12_VCHDR. Because in an interview I told that I had extracted from these data sources.
Then the interviewer had asked me, "Is there any specific reason for using the LIS data sources, because SAP has strongly recommended not to use these LIS data souces".
I replied that SAP has recommended not to use LIS extraction to extract the data from these data sources and I used LO extraction to extract data from these data sources.
My first question is, Is it correct what I told to the interviewer?
If what I told to the interviewer is wrong then my second question is
Is there any new name available for these the following data sources:
2LIS_01_S001,
2LIS_11_VAHDR,
2LIS_12_VCHDR
If so please let me know what it is?

VC Error: There are no BI systems defined in portal/ no authorization

Hi,
when trying to launch the BI integration wizard on an iview in Visual Composer in the ESA Discovery system I get the follwing error message:
"WARNING 2005: There are no BI systems defined in portal. In order to use BI integration wizard, you must first define at least one BI system based on the BI XMLA, BI ODBO, BI JDBC, or BI SAP Query Connector."
When I click on the "Find data" button in VC I am able to see the names of BI systems in the System drop down box and can search queries and execute them. So the BI must be connected.
I did not change the original configuration of portal or VC.
When trying to launch the MDX editor or SQL editor I get the error message that I am not authorized to do this, but I am logged on as user admin or user j2ee_admin.
Can somebody help me please

Design document is basically a document to say how the design is to be developed for a particular solution ex: FI it says what is the data fow and what are the data targets to be used and how data shld be stored for providing the client a solution they need.
Is cube a data target?
Yes cube is a data target.

There are 2 places to define Company Code, which is correct.

There are 2 places to define company code i.e.:
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Financial Acc -> Define Company, and
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Financial Acc -> Edit, Copy, Delete, Check Company code.
I know the one path updates table T001 and the other T880 but I don't understand the differences... probably as I am abapper.

Company and Company Code are different.
The first path is to define Company:
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Financial Acc -> Define Company
Second path is to define Company Code:
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Financial Acc -> Edit, Copy, Delete, Check Company code.
(the practice when creating any new config in SPRO is to used Copy function instead of Create)
We can make do without Company. In my customer's system, we do not set up Company.
Company Code is a must and is the first step that you need to define before defining anything else (Pers Area, PSA, etc).
Chart of Account also linked to Company Code, not Company. The two are different, please do not confused them into one.

I think the problem is that as the error message says, you don't have enough network interfaces available.
The installation process creates a network bridge and therefore you need 3 network interfaces: eth0 ist for management access, eth1 and eth2 are the ports for the bridge (an IP will not be assigned for these two interfaces) and at last the br0 interface. When you don't provide enough interfaces during the installation process, the bridge will not be configured and this could be the problem.

It looks like the app is not currently in the App Store, I can't find it in the UK nor US stores.

Help! There are no video tracks defined in the current project.

I have been sending slideshows from Iphoto to Idvd for over a year without any problems. Now when I click the burn icon I get this message:
