THUMBNAIL IMAGE DATA TYPE

I prefer viewing thumbnails against a "dark" background.
When the background is darkened the black type info below the "thumb" begins to blend with the darkened background, and becomes difficult to see.
The file/title isn't too bad, but the selected info below it becomes obscure, even when going to "full" black & white.
I've tried all the combinations of Accent Colors, and got a somewhat reasonable combination; but I still have to leave the Background lighter than I'd prefer' in order to read it without eye strain.
Nit picking, I suppose; I had hoped there was a "Type" Color Selection, but apparently there's only the tonality sliders, and Accent Color controls.
Anyone know of a font color adjustment, that I'm not aware of?
Best regards,
Leigh

thanks morgan, for one {color:#ff0000}guid{color} the data can be any of those. If it is of "image" type i need a thumbnail too. What i thought was {color:#ff0000}data{color} field (ORDDoc) can hold any of those and when I want I can retrieve it in any of the specific types, like
{color:#339966}//get the ORDDoc as ORDImage{color}
{color:#ff0000}OrdImage imgData = (OrdImage) rset.getORAData("data", OrdImage.+getORADataFactory+());{color}
{color:#339966}//this line didnt throw any error but returns empty data{color}
then to generate and save it to the {color:#ff0000}thumbnail{color} field
{color:#339966}//select thumbnail for update{color}
{color:#ff0000}OrdImage img = (OrdImage) rset.getORAData("thumbnail", OrdImage.+getORADataFactory+());{color}
{color:#339966}//generate and copy to thumbnail field{color}
{color:#ff0000}imgData.processCopy("maxScale=64 64, fileFormat=JFIF", img);
{color}{color:#000000}It seems Oracle didnt mean to use it this way!
Thoughts?{color}

  • Import from Designer crashes with IMAGE data type

    Hello,
    I'd like to report an issue with Data Modeler while importing from Oracle Designer. If you consider this a bug, please let me know if I need to do anything else to request a fix for it.
    I've used the import > Oracle Designer Model tool to import an application model. The import runs fine for a while, then crashes with a message "There are errors in import - check log file".
    The application to be imported has 509 domains, 963 entities to import.
    The summary info displayed after the import (when I close the error message pop up) is:
    All statements: 1472
    Imported statements: 538
    Failed statements: 0
    Not recognized statements: 934
    The log file has the lines below:

    I see the issue with the IMAGE data type in the log. The model to be imported does have domains and entities using this data type. The domain actually did get imported, but it shows as "Unknown" logical type, even though there is an Image type available in the Data Modeler type list. None of the entities using IMAGE got imported.
    Please let me know if you can provide a fix or workaround for this (other than changing the format in Designer).
    Thank you,
    Beatriz.

    Hello Beatriz,
    definitely this is a bug. The problem with entities is not IMAGE data type it's supported there (it's overlooked for domains). The problem is volume information - Initial, Maximum, Average, Growth rate. No workaround for that.
    Domain can be changed manually if it's just one affected.

  • Convert MS SQL server image data type into oracle clob

    Hi all! I'm tryng to access to Microsoft SQL server with Oracle via ODBC. Oracle is not able to use the image data type of Microsoft SQL server. Do you know a way to convert this data type in an oracle format? The explicit casting converts image to long raw, but after the conversion Oracle is not able to manage these data type. Thank you very much!

    If it's not a B1 table you can.

  • Search Query Web Part thumbnail image link broken

    Hello,
    I have 4 farms spread across the world and I want to pull news from Farm 1 (headquarters) into farm 2, 3, and 4. In SharePoint 2007 I did this with content deployment by pushing only the news site out to the other 3 farms.  However, from
    reading content deployment guidelines in SP13 I feel this is no longer a supported configuration.
    I am trying to use the search query web part to accomplish this now.  I have a search query web part that I am using to roll up articles from SharePoint at farm 1.  So far it is mostly working, the articles are pulled in and I can see
    them.  When I click the link it takes me from the current farm (farm 2) to farm 1 to read the article.  The only problem I am having is that the rollup image does not display at farm 2, 3, or 4.  I believe this is happening because the image
    URL at the source is getting saved as a relative URL.  Even if I try to override the relative URL to the image with an absolute URL then it just forces the URL back to a relative URL because clearly SharePoint is smarter than I am and there is no reason
    I should ever want an absolute URL.
    I should add that to get this working, in my search settings, I had to configure an extra content source (to farm 1).
    So my question is what is the best way to handle this?  Is there an option in my search configurations on farm 2 to override URL's for a particular content source?  Am I even headed down the right path trying to do this with the content search
    web part?
    Thanks,

    Hi Tom,
    I have been trying to figure out what you mean when you say I am using 'Page item' instead of 'Picture'.  I don't understand what you mean.
    When I set up a page that will be published I have actually been using an 'Article Page' content type for the news item I want to share on all of the farms.  After creating the page there is a section at the bottom for a 'Rollup Image'  I specify
    the URL in this rollup image but the actual image is stored in an 'Assets' Library.  I have no problem with the article page itself showing up on Farm 2, just not the image.  The "Rollup Image" data type is Publishing Image - "Rollup
    Image is a site column created by the Publishing feature. It is used on the Page Content Type as the image for the page shown in content roll-ups such as the Content By Search web part."
    Question 1: Are you saying that I need to somehow replace that rollup image field with a custom site column field?
    Question 2: If I set up a new column then do I need to worry about connecting catalogs?
    In your post from December 9th it sounded like you had this working in your test environment.
    Question 3: Did you have it working using a different configuration there?
    Question 4: If so, did it require having a separate web application just for Assets, or were you using a custom site column there?
    In Farm 2, after I connected my catalog from Farm 1, I found that a Pages library at the top level of my site collection contained some strange entries. I have files in that library called
    CatalogItem--1684387697
    CatalogItem-364050575
    Category-
    Category-1211-4576
    The first CatalogItem gives me an error "Sorry, something went wrong".  The rest seem to contain images from Farm 1.  However, news articles still are not finding those images.  I suppose that is because the 'Rollup image' link is
    still pointing to a different path than that connected catalog.  Anyway, those items were checked out to me and were not published.  I checked them in and published those Category/CatalogItem connections hoping that would work, but
    that didn't help either.
    When I set up my catalog in farm 1 I only checked 'Enable this library as a catalog'.  None of the other fields seemed to apply since I am not publishing to a public site (Anonymous access) and also since I am not trying to tie identifiers to catalog
    items (Catalog Item URL fields).  Additionally when I connected to my catalog I tried "<label for="ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_connectionTypeSection_fullConnection">Integrate the catalog into my site" with the setting "</label><label
    for="ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_rewriteDecisionSection_noURLRewriteRadioButton">Make URLs point to source catalog".  I also tried "</label><label for="ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_connectionTypeSection_manualConnection">Connect,
    but do not integrate the catalog".  Both of those settings sounded like they might force catalog items to look to the source (Farm 1).  Neither worked.  There are a lot of other settings but none of them seem to apply to my situation.
    I'm not trying to configure Navigation Hierarchy, Category Pages, or Item Pages.  Maybe I need to do something with "Catalog Item URL Format", but I'm not sure what settings I should try.</label>
    Questions 5,6: Do you have recommendations for my catalog/catalog connections to get this working?  Obviously my current configuration is not right or else it would work, but am I even close?

    I Strongly Recommand to_
    1.*create 2 tables Jobs & users*
    2.*create a relation between them* 1 to many to get for each job more than a user that's the way that Must be -- execuse me the bad design of the db pulled u into this trap -
    3.then u can deal with it normally no need to a sample code but just a form with Jobs as  (Master) and Users as (detail) with a relation and with a simple query u can display each job_id is for many users.

    Hi again,
    Several points that can help more:
    1. If you are working with Dot.Net, then I highly recommend read the first link that you got! This is nice and simple coding. Another option is this link which is even better in my opinion:
    http://www.dotnetgallery.com/kb/resource21-How-to-store-and-retrieve-images-from-SQL-server-database-using-aspnet.aspx
    2. As i mention above both link use the column's type image. There are several other option of working with Files. In most of my applications architecture I find that it is better to use a column which let us use any type of file and not an image column.
    In choosing the right column's type for your needs basically your fist question should be if if you want to store your data inside relational database environment or outside relational environment. It is a good idea to look for blogs on this issue. Next
    if you chose to store your data inside then you need to chose the right column type according to your server version. I highly recommend to look for blogs on the differences between those column's types: IMAGE,

  • Get image of Data Type of wire

    Hello,
    I know how to return the image of a front panel or diagram using VI server however I'm looking to be able to return the same image as displayed within the 'Data Type of Wire' information in the Context Help window when I hover my mouse over a wire. I thought this may be achieveable by returning a reference wire to a Front Panel Control and then maniulpate the methods/properties of that to try and return it but I can't find anything that will do the job. . .
    Im asking because I have an object that stores another set of differenet objects and hovering over the highest most class returns a good diagram to show all of the data memebers within the system.
    Any ideas on how to get programatic access to that image?
    Cheers
    Tom

    I think you guys missed the point of the original poster.
    When you hover over an LVclass wire, you see the content of the class cluster in the context help window. If the class includes other instances of other classes in its cluster, those classes are also displayed in the context help window.
    Tom wants to get that picture. The problem is that what you're seeing is not a preset picture. It's probably a tree which is dynamically generated when you hover over the wire and is probably done in the C code with no visible interface in LabVIEW (definitely not a public one).
    I can think of a couple of option:
    1. The easy one is probably to programmatically open the CH window, position the mouse over a wire of your class (will require some access to private properties. Look at LAVA forums scripting forum to see how you can access these), and then capture the entire screen and cut out the part of the image which has the CH window.
    2. The somewhat harder one is to rebuild this yourself. There's a class API in the LAVA forums code repository which should return the structure of the class. You can use that to recursively parse the cluster and build a tree of all the elements.
    Why do you want to do this?
    Try to take over the world!
