Thumbnails not working in XFCE (I did extensive search in Google)
I'm new to Arch linux and I have to say that I like it since it's MUCH faster than Ubuntu. But I have a problem, I can't seem to make thumbnails work in Thunar, I tried to search for solutions in google but to no avail.
I have these packages installed:
thunar
ffmpeg thumnailer
thunar-archive-plugin
thunar-media-tags-plugin
thunar-thumbnailers
thunar-volman
And the thing I don't understand is that I don't have "thunar-vfs-update-thumbnailers-cache-1"... is it depricated?

It freezes, it lags, I get kicked out of my apps, my messages do not send half of the time, I can't view the pictures in my camera roll if I enlarge them, and the phone glitches randomly. How can this be fixed or what do I need to do to get it replaced??
The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup... Restore as New...

If you try all these steps and you still have issues... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...

I had 2 MobileMe email addresses, but only went thru iCloud process with one (my main address). Now the secondary address is not working with iCloud. Did I have to go thru the process with each address? Can I still get that secondary address to work with iCloud?
It was totally separate. I just now went back to a previous email from Apple to that secondary address which urged me to transition to iCloud. I followed the link and it prompted me thru the process and the address is now able to send/receive emails. Thanks.

I just bought an imac in september 2012. And i just find out that my microphone is not working. So i did an apple hardware test and with no problems found? I have sound but no one can hear me, not even the computer. Should i bring it back to the store
Before you go through that trouble open About this Mac > More Info... > System Report > Audio and see if the system actually knows it has a microphone. Then you can look into Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup and see if the microphone is there, select it and make sure the sliders are set to full. Then in System Preferences look for Sound > Input and make sure it shows up there and the sliders are at least half way up. If none of that works do a

Unplug the computer's power cord and ALL peripherals.
Wait 15 seconds.
Attach the computers power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
It is the 5 second timing that initiates the reset.
then go through the process of looking for the microphone again as the reset may reenable the mic. -
IDVD is not working...We did everything described
Why doesn't apple do Apple do something about it? We did everything described here. I bought my laptop with Leopard and DVD is not working since I bought it. We tried every thing described it was all to no avail. What can we do?
Came back to leave at least hope if not a fix for everyone....after going through every fix listed here and web wide etc., I finally trashed the entire app from the applications, then reloaded just the IDVD app using the two original ship discs (not the update of leopard disc) selecting customize and selecting just iDVD & extra iDVD features, to save time.
Before you go to the trouble of doing this remember you must clear all the other elements already listed elsewhere (easy to find in support here) so you have no holdovers from the previous install. After you load the iDVD app from disc 1 & 2, next update the software and at least in my case the %&^-thing finally worked...actually a really nice program. -
Black ink not working after my computer did an update (2 new cartridges put in)
Black ink stopped working suddenly. Tried 2 new cartridges and they did not work. Since the day before their was an automatic 'updates' on my computer I thought it was that, but making copies doesn't work either. I already cleaned the print heads with still not even a hint of black ink coming out.
Usually, when the ink gets low it will be light at first or streaky . . . not just none at all. Could the update been a problem?The update is likely not related. I would suggest going through the troubleshooting steps in the document here. Be sure especially to check the vents as shown in solution six. If the steps there do not resolve the issue soaking the printhead as shown in the post here may help.

Thumbnails not working in windows 7 and windows 7 RC
When I used to view my security camera video card in Vista I would get a thumbnail view of each 10 second video produced.. This made it easy to skip through each video produced and pick out the ones that I thought would be best to check. This would be watched after about a week or so of videos. Now in Windows 7 and windows 7 RC I cannot seem to find this thumbnail view. All I can see is the media player film type .AVI icon for each video. Is there any way of turning the thumbnail function back on. I have tried all the registry fix changes that have been suggested and they don't work. I have downloaded different codec programs and they don't work. The icon/thumbnail box is unchecked in folder views and that doesn't work. Is there an answer to my problem. Does any one know if Microsoft are working on a change to get thumbnails to work with .AVI files. Hope you can help.

I found a solution for this issue on windows 7 64 bits !
I'm on the 7100 I couldn't get thumbnail preview for my .MOV or .mp4 files. Sometime I could get one or 2 thumb out of 30 in the folder.
I changed and added a few key to the registry to fix this preview thing:
IN REGEDIT:
_ HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mov\shellex\
where I only had 2 key inside the shellex.
_I looked inside the mpeg shellex ( because mpeg would generate good thumbnails:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mov\shellex\
where it had 3 keys
_SO what I tried was to copy those 3 key and replace my .mov shellex 3 key with those.
this is what you can do:
-open regedit
-right click on: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mov\shellex\
then export it ( it will be your backup in case it doesn't work or you mess up something you will just have to click on it to instal it again.
Then,
- remove the "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mov\shellex\ "KEY
-open notepad
-paste the following in your notepad file:

-double click on the reg file you just saves you just saved , it will reinstal the shellex inside the .mov key here:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mov
with the right keys and stuff.
-close regedit
-open a folder containing your .MOV, refresh the files several times to be sure, it should be working. -

Hmmmm... would appear that you need to be actually logged in to enable the additional menu features.
Have you tried deletting the plists for MAS?

Tweetdeck v 0.34.3-1 with Adobe Air SDK 2.02-1 is not working.
I can login, but the UI is entirely messed up. The settings menu won't open, I don't see the 'Welcome' pop-up, and, in general, little works. Here are some of the messages I'm getting.

I've tried solutions such as exporting GNOME_DESKTOP_SESSION_ID and reseting the GNOME keyring as posted in other threads. They are not solving this issue for me.
Naturally, /etc/opt/Adobe/certificates/AIR/crypt//config.xml does not exist on my filesystem, and I cannot seem to find the file necessary to meet this requirement.

MetroLyrics search not working. Gets stuck at finding search results....
Metrolyrics search is not working for me in my FF. Search always at 'finding search results' but nothing more.
Tried IE 10 and there metrolyrics working fine, so it is something with FF.

Hi. I have a dashboard originally built in 4.5 that doesn't work properly in 2008. The dashboard has a list box with the regions we have our sales force broken down into with the first region being a conglomeration of all regions called national. In the 4.5 version I can highlight the South East region for example and it gives me a list of salesmen for that region. There are 4 pie charts that show different activities and in 4.5 once you click on South East, the first sales person is automatically highlighted the pie charts all change to reflect his sales figures. I can go to another salesman or region and the sales figures update approriately. If I go back to national all teh charts update appropriately as well. In 2008 when I click on the South East region it shows me a list of salesmen with the first one highlighted but the charts still show the national data. To get the charts to update I need to click on another salesman and then go back to the first one. If I try to go to national the charts never update so once someone clicks off national they can never get the charts back for it unless they close and reopen the file. The old dashboard would not open in 2008 so I had to rebuild it manually. Evrything appears identical but I could easily have missed something. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the functionality working normally again?yes, i think apple really needs to address this issue. i dont know if they havent made the iphone 4 fully backwards compatible with older bluetooth hardware, but my infiniti FX45 is only a 2008.
bluetooth cuts out all the time, goes back and forth between the radio and the phone, and is completely unreliable. i have the latest iOS installed.
basically cant use bluetooth hands free at all in my car anymore. my iphone 3g and 3gs did okay, didnt have this problem. what gives?
first the antenna problem, and now this. common apple... dont make me go buy a droid.

I already had an iTunes account when I pushed the iPhone. After upgrading the OS to 5.0.1, I kept receiving an error message saying that my AppleID was invalid, even though it worked perfectly within iTunes on my PC. It seemed to want my email address as my "new" AppleID so I entered that, but it created a second ID. It seems my cloud account and the "phone" iTunes is attached to the newer ID and my "PC" iTunes account is attached to the older ID.
Now, when I try to sync iTunes, I don't see all of the songs I purchased, some sync and others appear to sync but are grayed out with the sync icon next to the title. The songs are still on my phone, but not in my iTunes library.
Is there any way to fix this and consolidate the accounts? Also, why did the upgrade force me to create a new AppleID? I haven't upgraded to the 4 or 5 phone because I'm afraid this is going to happen again and I'll have a third AppleID to contend with.

Setting up an iPhone has never required creation of a new Apple ID.
You've apparently purchased content with both Apple ID's. Sign into the device with the correct Apple ID and sync the content. -
Upgraded LV7 to 8.2.1 and List Folder pattern does not work anymore as it did

I have upgraded LV7 to 8.2.1 and use XP.
In a vi developed in LV7 I used the List Folder with pattern input to check wether a file name already exist in a folder (path). This worked very well in LV 7 as the function return the filename if the exisiting filename matched the pattern input. In 8.2.1 this fucntion still exists but it does not return the filename as it used to do which is rather annoying.
Has anybody else experienced this ie is it a bug? or is the operation of the function changed?

I can understand your frustration.. We had a thread complaining about the changes when it was first introducted. Now that I'm used to it, I wouldn't go back..
However, you can keep all versions of Labview installed on the same PC, meaning that Labview versions 7.0, 7.1, 8.0, 8.2, 8.5 can all happily co-exist on the same PC. The benefit is that you can use the original version that you developped your code and continue to enhance the code using the original version without having to adapt to the newer version. However, going up versions should be compatible, unless you are adding new features.
There is one catch in what I described. And you must keep a backup copy of your code. If you open an older version using a newer version and save it, you cannot open it again in your older version, unless you use Save As Previous. For that reason, it is best to keep an extra copy somewhere (which is always good practice anyway).

Multipl selection not working in Select Options, NO-EXTENSION not specified

My code for the selection screen is as given below:
data: v_bukrs type ekko-bukrs.
select-options: s_one for v_bukrs default '1234',
s_two for ekko-lifnr,
s_three for ekko-ekgrp.
select-options: s_last for ekko-llief no intervals.
However, when I execute my program, all for select-options show Multiple selection icon. When I click on the icon for multiple selection, it is not processed.
I tried to debug and find out but to no avail. Also I have searched extensively over SDN, but have not found any solution for my problem.
Kindly help with relevant solution.

The FM - SELECT_OPTIONS_RESTRICT has not been used in my program.
The issue is however, resolved. There was an error in the selection screen events, that was triggering the disabling.
