TI DSP Toolkit with Code Composer Platinum

I've been using the LV DSP toolkit for TI with Code Composer 2.2x for some time with no problems.  Recently upgraded to CCS Platinum and the DSP VIs aren't behaving as they used to.  Primary problem is trying to open CCS, looks like it tries to open then immediately closes back down.
Has anyone else used the DSP toolkit with CCS Platinum?  I may just switch back to CCS 2.2x.
Best regards and thanks,
Matthew

Hi Anurag,
The DSP toolkit is only compatable with a few pieces of hardware.  You can find that information at this link.  If you are not using the mentioned hardware then there is no guarantee that it will work.  The reason you get the memory error is because MAX, and hence LabVIEW, does not recognize the device.  It makes sense that it works when you use your own software to flash the program because you are bypassing the NI software that is not compatable with that device.  Unfortunately, unless you are using one of the specific pieces of supported hardware there isn't much more we can do.  I would recommend that if you are able to get your program to work using the flash mode, then just continue to do that way instead of trying to download it with the emulator.  Thanks and have a great day.

  • Download Error with TI DSP Toolkit with Code Composer

    I have used TI DSP Toolkit with Code Composer to interface with code composer and LabVIEW. I am able to open the project, build the project etc. When I am downloading my binary to the DSP, the application is throwing error saying memmory address could not be validated. I am using emulator to download the code. I am able to download the code when I am using flash programmer option available with the code composer IDE. Any help to resolve the issue is highly appreciated.

  • LabVIEW DSP Test Integration Toolkit support for Code Composer Studio version 4

    Hi,
    I came to know about the LabVIEW DSP Test Integration Toolkit support for Code Composer Studio from the link http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5839. I would like to know if this works with Code Composer Studio version 4 also. I am using CCSv4 with TMS320C6748 board. If not, can you please tell me if NI has brought out any software that helps in real time data exchange between CCSv4 and Labview?
    Regards,
    Debarati.

    Debarati,
    I did some more research into your issue and found out that unfortunately, NI no longer officially supports the DSP Test Integration Toolkit as seen here: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5839
    I also see that you located our example VI here http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/4311 and that the VI asked you for a .pjt file that you could not locate in CCSv4. Being that we no longer support the DSP Test Integration Toolkit, your next course of action would be to contact TI and inquire what .pjt file corresponds to in the newest version of CCS. I hope TI can be of more help to you with this issue since, as I said before, we no longer support this toolkit.
    My apologies,

  • How to close(quit) TI Code Composer Studio with Labview?

    Is there any way to actually close Code Composer Studio from Labview? Don't have any problems launching CCS and opening/closing projects, just exiting CCS...

    Like I said in the other thread, the Simulate mouse down case calls a windows function called "PostMessage". It posts a mouse down message to a specific window. That means you have to give it the window name. That's what the string control is for. Like I said, for more than this, you will have to look into the mouse functions in MSDN and for DLL tutorials here.
    The question should be "do you really need a mouse click"? Many things can be solved without simulating a click.
    To learn more about LV, I suggest you start by reading the LabVIEW user manual. Also, try searching this site and google for LabVIEW tutorials. Here is one you can start with and here is another. You can also contact your local NI office and join one of their courses.
    In addition, I suggest you read the LabVIEW style guide.
    Try to take over the world!

  • Update master data in BW with Visual Composer

    Hi guys.
    I have an attribute of an info object that I need to give the users access to update.
    I would like to do it with visual composer.
    I would like the user to see all rows in a table kind of view and the user will update only the rows that need to be changed and than he/she will click on a button that will update the master data table in BW.
    I believe that I'll need to use a BAPI or a RFC for that? Does anyone know any good predefined ones for that?
    Thanks
    Shlomi

    That's not really true. In VC you have access to all remote enabled functions. We have created specific functions to update attributes.
    We are using it to allow our users to update their own master data instead of bugging the BI team.
    Here is an example of our code.
    Before I paste this in, you need to know a couple things.
    1. You can only update one record at a time (with my code)
    2. You have to pass back in the entire record, even if you are only changing one attribute of many.
    3. It automatically does the attribute change run, so you do not need to to it.
    This is a simple infoobject with a few attributes.
    First we created a Get function (which collects the data and shows it to the user.
    Then we gave them a edit button on the table that goes to a pop up.
    The user selects the record to change, then hits the edit button.
    When the popup  comes up the data is shown in a form, with a save and cancel button, fields that you do not wish users to see or change, hide them, but they all most be present on the form.
    The  when the user hits save, it send it to the below function. The name of the infoobject is ZCAT_SUB.
    FUNCTION zcat_update_subparty2.

  • Deploy par files with code from NWDI

    Hello Experts,
    I have migrated some par files to NWDI and they are deployed via SDM as SDA files.
    From eclipse it is possible to deploy the par files with Code. Is this possible from NWDI that the par files are deployed with code to the portal server.
    Regards
    Sundeep

    Hi Satish,
    I am using NWDS, and then check in the Portal DC which is then deployed on the runtime system.
    My question is during deployment via NWDI is it possible that the par is deployed with code.
    Earlier we were using eclipse for par based development, and this was possible in eclips.
    With NWDI i dont think it is possible to control if the par should be deployed on the portal server with code included.

  • SRM MDM, Error, "Table with Code 'null' does not exist in repository"

    Hi experts,
    We has SRM MDM scenario, while doing OCI settings, we are able to connect with MDM repository but getting follwoing error message in portal, "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Table with Code 'null' does not exist in the repository 'Repository' or is one of the system table (e.g. Workflows) that is not exposed in repository schema"
    Can You please suggest,
    Thanks and Regards,
    Munish

    Hi everyone,
    Sudhanshu and Anshuk:- Thanks for your response, let me try and explain the real scenario in details:-
    We have deployed the SRM-MDM Catalog Search UI in Portal.
    We tried accessing the http://<Portal Host>:<Portal Port>/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM
    Then we got a screen (Search UI App screen), where in we have provided the MDM Server name, then the MDM Server Password, then presses the Connect button, then below this, it displayed the Repository name created in the MDM. We have selected the Repository, then provided the Credentials of a User (Name: T_CORP) in MDM which has "Catalog Manager", and the "UI Configuration Manager" Roles. Please note that these Role names were created by us in MDM. Is it the right procedure or do we have any standard Roles delivered by SAP in MDM to map? If any standard Roles are available, where we need to check these.
    Once the Credentials of MDM User is provided, and then selected the "Login" button.
    Then we are getting the below error.
    "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Table with Code 'null' does not exist in the repository 'Repository' or is one of the system table (e.g. Workflows) that is not exposed in repository schema"
    Please clarify; we are not configuring any values in iViews. Where we need to do this, I mean name of the iView, and what values do we need provide generally? We are just running the Search UI App application; I don't think it is an iView, because the URL shows the Application name details, etc...
    Please guide us, how to fix this Error.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Munish

  • Report generation toolkit with openoffice

    hello all
    i would like to know if it is possible to use the report generation toolkit with openoffice instead microsoft office? because i do not have the toolkit already i can't test it and i will only buy it if this is possible...
    i ask also because i used another application with word export not long ago what was ending with the error message "windows ole server not found". so the question is if something of the microsoft product line is necessary? i am quite sure that the opening of a produced doc would be possible in openoffice without problems - at least i hope so!
    only one thread i found, unfortunately in french : http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=4170&message.id=13060&query.id=139594#M13060
    thanks a lot, mischl

    Another option to consider is to use the report generation VIs that ship with LV and simply output to a PDF document rather than a hardcopy printer.

    Dear all,
    I am using sharepoint online and infopath 2013, I wonder how do I edit infopath 2013 forms with visual studio? When I try to edit form code it says  I need visual studio 2012 and some other tools, I installed them and visual studio 2013, I wonder how
    do I get rid of the message and start coding? Can someone provide a detailed procedure of doing so? I am having trouble with creating multiple items with single infopath form with repeating table on sharepoint online. Thanks.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to create InfoPath form with code using Visual Studio.
    More information about develop InfoPath form with Visual Studio:

  • Office 2013 SP1 fails with code 17302 - SCCM 2007 R2

    Hi,
    I am trying to deploy Office 2013, along with SP1, in the following order:
    1. Prompt to close all office apps and continue (vbs)
    2. Installation of Office 2013, using modified msp.
    3. Restart
    4. Installation of SP1 with command line /passive /norestart.
    I am doing this all through a package I created in SCCM 2007 R2.
    The first few programs works well. However, when the installation of SP1 starts, SCCM launches the program, then SP1 fails with code 17302.
    Manual installation, through command prompt, with the same switches works fine.
    The error is only when remotely deploying.
    The system is Windows 7 X86 with latest SP.
    Please help!

    Hi,
    Have you checked the log file? Does it say anything there? Also, where is the SP1 installation file stored? Since this only happens while remotely deploying, check the network or the setting of your filewall.
    By the way, you can slipstream Service Pack 1 with your Office 2013 installation media, Office 2013 will be directly installed at Service Pack 1 level, saving you the trouble of applying it afterwards. For the details, please refer to this article:

    1.How to take backup/download of an entire module pool program with code,screen,etc.
    2.How can we take backup/download for a DB table with its structure?
    3.How can we take backup of a search help?

    Hi,
    May be just for viewing, try downloading from SE80 transaction from the others option.
    Here just try issuing the print, it will generate the spool.
    Now using the spool, download to your desktop as required. It will have all the information regarding the attributes, fields, elements everything.
    The only issue is, may be you need to take all the screens separately.

  • How do I create an object with code?

    I have a flash cs3 file in which I have created a simple movieclip (square) by drawing a rectangle on the stage of that movieclip.  When I drag that into another movieclip (clip) I am able to set properties for it such as x and y position by adding actionscript code to various frames of the "clip" timeline.  So far so good.
    Now I have created a second movieclip (shape).  I want to be able to define the shape purely with code, so I entered the following code into the first frame of the "shape" timeline:
    var myShape:Shape = new Shape();
    myShape.graphics.beginFill(0xFF0000);
    myShape.graphics.moveTo(20,20);
    myShape.graphics.lineTo(100,20);
    myShape.graphics.lineTo(100,100);
    myShape.graphics.lineTo(20,20);
    myShape.graphics.endFill();
    this.addChild(myShape);
    I then hoped I could drag and instance of the "shape" movieclip onto the "clip" stage and have a red triangle show up, but nothing shows up.  It seems I have to actually draw something onto the "shape" stage for something to show up.  I would like to be able to create shapes programmatically but I don;t know how to do it.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for your reply.  I tried doing what you said, creating a command by opening a new flash file, etc.  For some reason, I could make a rectangle and save that as a command, but making a shape using the polystar command didn't work - there was a red "x" next to it in the history panel.
    Anyway, even if I could do that, it's not what I want to do.  I want to be able to create a shape and then be able to change the shape dynamically.  For instance, I want to be able to create a series of points and draw curves between them to create a closed curve shape.  Then I want to be able to change the positions of the vertices so that the shape changes as the .swf is running.  Thanks.
