Time Delay when Initiating BPEL from Oracle ESB

Hi there,
I am currently working with a client who have an on-going integration project. They are using the BPEL and Oracle ESB components of the Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.3.1. There is an issue that periodically occurs.
The scenario that we are occasionally getting is as follows:
The ESB is used to Poll for business events in a SQL Server database. Business Events are just information that needs to trigger a process occuring. The ESB has a DB Adapter that POLLS for these events. The ESB simply listens for these events, when one occurs it transforms the incoming message and invokes a Synchonous BPEL process that processes the message. Periodically in their environment, when the ESB DB Poller picks up a message, there seems to be a significant time frame between picking up the message and invoking BPEL. This has been anything upto 90 minutes. For Example messgae picked up 1t 12.30pm and the BPEL instance starts at 2.00pm. This issue seems to be uncreatable. Has anyone experienced similar issues or has any advice regarding this?
Any assistance / advise would be appreciated
Dave

Hi Ruplim
Thanks for quick response,
I want to Invoke ESB service from BPEL and get the Response Back in the form of Transformation Data.
I tried searching for Demo example in tutorials but i am not able to find such case, Do you have any documentation or Sample code for this type?
Thanks & regards
Sanjay

    Hi
    We have recently installed SOA Suite in a clustered environment and have a serious issue.
    I am not able to call BPEL processes from my ESB services via WSIF (by using the 'browse target operation' in JDeveloper). The exception i get at runtime is this.

    When I instead call the BPEL process via SOAP (by using a SOAP invocation service i JDeveloper) it works fine.

    Hi
    ESB and BPEL resides in the same oc4j-instance. Though, esb-rt and orabpel are different applications in that oc4j-instance. And the lookup 'ejb/collaxa/system/DeliveryBean' only exists in the orabpel application.
    In the ESB Console I already have the same setting for the 'BPELSystem' as for the 'Defaultsystem'.

    I've encounter something similar to you're problem and it was resolved by manually creating the object using the web service constructor and inputting user credentials. If you manually instantiate your web service wrapper object and set a a security profile token, it may solve your problem. You can also pass in the web service endPoint URL, if you want.
    Fuego.WebServices.UsernameTokenProfileSecurityPolicy
    I'm not sure how to use UsernameTokenProfileSecurityPolicy, but try something like this:
    Fuego.WebServices.UsernameTokenProfileSecurityPolicy policy = UsernameTokenProfileSecurityPolicy();
    policy.username ="mark";
    policy.password = "password";
    tws = YourWebService();
    response = tws.callWebServiceMethod();
    I realize the security profile isn't tied anywhere to the web service, but try it anyway.
    There is also some fields on the webservice, tws.setRequestHeader() that may allow you to set the username and password on the request, but this doesn't make sense to me. It shouldn't be that hard.

  • ACL error when sending email from Oracle 11g

    Hi,
    It returned something like "error...ACL security" when I tried to send email from Oracle 11g. Is there any security thing that I need to release in Oracle 11g? I used to send emails from Oracle 10g and didn't find any problem.
    Thanks.
    Andy

    In Database 11g Oracle introduced Network Access Control Lists (ACLs) to protect the database from users using the many internet-capable packages such as UTL_INADDR, UTL_HTTP, UTL_TCP, etc.
    Read all about it in the docs and look at the code demos here:
    http://www.morganslibrary.org/library.html

  • Time out when seinding Idocs from XI to receiving system

    Hi All,
    we have implemented a file to Idoc scenario in our XI test environment.
    When sending more than one file at a time (containing one record -> 1 Idoc after conversion) XI creates the Idocs but gets a time out when passing the Idocs to the receiving SAP 4.6C system. We find the messages blocked in transaction SM58 with the status message "Transaction recorded" and on the XI system short dumps are created with the time out error message.
    Does anyone know this problem and can give us some hints how to resolve it ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Christiane

    Christiane,
    Check your partner profiles in the target R/3 system. Use Tcode WE20 and check the inbound parameters option to see if the radio button 'Process Immediately' is switched on. If yes, change this to 'Process by background program'.
    This way, the IDOC will be created in your system with status 64. You can then use program RBDAPP01 in the R/3 system to post these IDOCs to application.
    The reason I say this is, sometimes, posting applicaitons may take a long time thereby resulting in timeout. If this is not the actual reason, atleast this will lead you to the correct problem.
    Try this and let me know what's happening.

  • How to stop delay when streaming data from a script as URL to an Applet?

    I have a strange problem and do not know what is causing it. Hope someone here with some experience can help.
    I have a Java Applet which makes a line graph of data. The data source is to be streaming, where the first chunk of data comes from what is already in a data file, and then new data is sent whenever it is ready. The problem in brief is that if I just collect and show the data from the data file and do not stream everything works fine. If I also have the streaming and wait for a long time, everything works fine, but when the applet is first loaded, the graph is not shown until after a long delay time.
    Here is a snippet of the applet code:
             String dataendpoint = "http://phpfunction.php";
             URL url = new URL(dataendpoint);
             InputStream is = url.openStream();
             String line;
             InputStreamReader isr = new InputStreamReader(is);
             BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(isr);
             while ((line = br.readLine()) != null) {
                   // my code here to handle each line of data which prepares it for
                   // showing on a line graph.
             } In the above, I show the dataendpoint variable hardcoded, but in reality this comes as an Applet parameter. It is a URL of a php script which is on the same server as the applet's code and there are no access problems here.
    The PHP script does the following: It first opens a data file, parses it and prints it out to its standard output using echo or printf statements. The script then enters a loop where it periodically looks to see if new data has been made available. If so, that new data is also printed out to the standard output.
    The PHP script looks like this (in pseudo code):
       // open data files, read lines, and send to standard output using echo
       // flush buffers using ob_flush() and flush() calls
       while (1) {
          sleep(30);
          // get new data, if any, then send to standard output
          // flush buffers again
       Again my problem: If I have the PHP script exit before the while loop everything works fine, my applet makes the graph immediately.
    However, if I include the while loop, then initially the applet does not appear, not until some time afterwards, and then the applet works like it should, scrolling along every time new data arrives.
    I have done a Wireshark sniff and I can see that the initial data is being sent out the the browser and applet immediately. So I do not think it is a buffering problem on the PHP side.
    I have wrapped every Applet code line with debug print statements and from the Java console I see that the Java Applet is stopping at this line:
    InputStream is = url.openStream();
    Can someone explain what is happening here? Why the delay in returning from the openStream() function and how to avoid it?
    By the way, the server is Linux and the Applet is being run on Windows Vista, and I have tried both Internet Explorer and Firefox, both give the same behavior.
    Thanks in advance!
    Steve, Denmark

    I still cannot solve this problem, but I have some more observations:
    1) yes it is a JApplet, and yes, the data streaming is performed in a separate thread.
    2) Wireshark sniffing shows that data sent out by the PHP datasource on the server is sent immediately, and is not buffered (am using ob_start(), ob_flush() and flush() alls in the PHP script).
    3) On Windows Vista, using Internet Explorer or Firefox, there is a constant 30 second delay before the Applet returns from this line: InputStream is = url.openStream();
    4) After this 30 seconds, data appears in the Applet, but it can be seen also with java console debug prints that the data seems to be buffered. The newest data shown in the Applet is not the newest data sent to the client by the PHP datasource script.
    5) On a SUSE Linux client, the Applet works as it should, there is no delay time in showing the data.
    It appears as if there is on Windows a buffering of data which I do not wish to have and which does not occur on Linux. I need to find out how to get the URL openStream() call to return immediately allowing the initial data to be read and shown on the Applet. And I need to remove the buffering of data so that the data can be shown on the Applet when it arrives.
    Can anyone help? Why does this work on Linux but not on Windows, and what can I do, at best within the Java code, to get the Applet to work on Windows as it does on Linux?
    Thanks!
    Steve, Denmark

  • ORA-44356 when running report from Oracle Application Server 10g

    All,
    We have some reports that we developed using Reports Builder 10g. We use a few program units that run with every record that use the exec_sql package to run dynamic sql in a remote database. Everything runs fine when we test the reports in Reports Builder. After we compile the reports into the .rep format and place them on our Oracle Application Server 10g portal instance, we are running into the subject error when we try to run the report from the website. From the research that I've done, it seems that this error has to do with the use of exec_sql, but there is not too much info on the web regarding this error number. Running a trace when running the report in Reports Builder doesn't show any errors, and to further complicate things, this error only occurs on some reports...others that use the exec_sql package work fine.
    Does anyone have any ideas as to why this might be happening?
    Thanks for your help,
    Tom

    Nothing is different between the reports in the exec_sql section. The strange part is that the reports will bomb out seemingly at random, at different times, and during the execution of different program units. I was able to find a work-around using DB Links, but I'd rather not use the DB Link if I can avoid it.

  • How do I create a time delay so the signal from my throttle is not too fast for an ESC?

    I am using Labview to control a ROV using a Playstation 3 controller.  When I throttle too quickly the ESC cuts off and resets.  I talked to the manufacturer of the ESC and they said the probable cause was the signal was changing to fast for the ESC to follow andthey recommended putting a delay in the program to allow time for the ESC to read the throttle increments.  My question would be "How do I do this?"  Thanks

    I'm not exactly sure how to do what you are talking about.  I have been doing this for about a month and have taken only an intro class in Labview at my university.  Could you point me in the right direction to learn how to do it .  I have attached the VI just in case you wanted a closer look at it.  Thanks

    Not sure if this answers your question, but:
    You won't get the endpoint as a variable in your process, if this is what you mean. By specifying the registryServiceKey, the BPEL runtime will divert the call to the OSR which then will divert to the endpoint specified in the binding.
    Note that you still have to keep the hardcoded WSDL location in the partner link when you add the registryServiceKey property. This is the way JDeveloper gets the WSDL (it doesn't seem to use the OSR).

  • JList run time errors when removing items from list

    Hi there
    I am having trouble removing items from a JList. For a While it was working fine and now it outputs runtime errors everytime samething gets removed from the lsit
    Here is the code
    //declare
    public class Consumertab1gui extends JPanel implements ActionListener
         public static JList conList = null;
         private static DefaultListModel model = null;
    // Create a list with some items
    model = new DefaultListModel();
    conList = new JList(model);
    //set the size of cells in the list with the length of the string
    conList.setPrototypeCellValue("Lenght 1234567890");
    conList.setSelectionMode(ListSelectionModel.SINGLE_INTERVAL_SELECTION);
    conList.addListSelectionListener(new ValueReporter());
    //set a scroll onto the list
    JScrollPane conScroll = new JScrollPane(conList);
    add(conScroll,c);
    //when the button gets pressed to drop the selected item the following code is called
    private void dropConsumer()
    int selItem=0;
    componentsV.comVRemove(conList.getSelectedValue().toString());
    selItem=conList.getSelectedIndex();
    System.out.println("No:"+(model.getSize()-1));
    System.out.println("S:"+selItem);
    remConList(selItem);
    dropCon.setEnabled(false);
    //which in turns calls this
    public void remConList(int pos)
         model.remove(pos);
    when the model.remove(pos) code is executed the following runtime errors are given:
