Time display for track

I use my iPhone to listen to long tracks (mostly DJ sets) in the form of mp3 files which are almost 2 hours long, thus 120 mins. Is it possible to display the time in mm:ss instead of hh:mm:ss? Thus when the track is into the 75th minute for example I'd like to see 75:ss and not 1:15:ss.
Is this possible through any setting?

I haven't been hitting it, just leaving it!

I want to limit my child's total screen time on a daily basis and display how long he has been logged on. This is different from time limits, which set the start and end time of the day.

I suspect the app developer is a non-English speaker. The support page is on Japanese and there is no reference to the calendar functionality in the store description. It looked like an Evernote-only add-in. I never would have found it without you. Thanks again.

In Lion, you could select to see the time remaining on your battery. Now you have to actually click the battery to see. Please change it back!

Changing the name displayed for tracked changes?

I'm working on a Word document started on a different computer that also had changes made by someone else on a PC and now I'd like to finalize the document on my Mac using the new version of Pages.
1. How can I change the names of selected tracked changes so they have my name and, instead of the names of the other user and the name of my other computer name?

I am enjoying the new Zencast software but I really would like Creative to sort out the rewind, fast-forward and time display for audio podcasts, in time for the final version. I believe that I am not the only one experiencing problems. On my Zen Touch I cannot use the rewind or fast forward functions for podcasts, and the elapsed time displays 0.00 and no progress bar. If the GarageBand application window appears to be messed up, parts missing, or in the wrong place, it might be a problem of corrupted preferences files. Try to repair permissions and to remove the file "Your Home Folder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.garageband.plist" from your user library.

Is your profile signature "GarageBand '09, Mac OS X (10.5.8)" still current, John? If not, and you are now using Lion or Mt. Lion, the User Library will be hidden.
Then you can reveal it from the Finder's "Go" menu:
Finder > Go, then hold down the options ⌥ key, until the Library appears in the drop-down menu, select it and open the Library folder. Then go to the "Preferences" sub folder and remove com.apple.garageband.plist.

Is there a way to create a custom screensaver with pics/slides that display for different amounts of time? Or even add a "video slide" into the screensaver?
My business has 3 TVs displayed in our lobby, each with its own apple TV and they are all linked to the same photo stream. Currently the Atv screensaver displays the photostream pictures of our products for the default 3 seconds. We just added pics/slides that now display messages and useful info for our customers but I want that info to be displayed for a longer period of time than the pictures to give people a chance to read it.
I tried using flickr and powerpoint as a work around but no luck. I created a slide in powerpoint with play length of 15 secs and saved it as a wmv file. I added that file to a "screensaver" set in flickr and pointed the Atv screensaver to that flickr set. It still displays everything, pics and the wmv file at the default 3 sec.
I know I can increase the duration of all pics in the screensaver to display for longer but the goal is to have the pics display at 3 secs and the info slides to display at 15 secs.

If the Display supports DVI, then you will need a > Mini-DVI to DVI Adapter and a DVI cable.
If the Display only supports VGA, then you wiil need a > Mini DVI to VGA Adapter and a VGA cable.
Noting that the (digital) DVI is far better than the (analog) VGA connection.

I used to have an external drive always connected to my previous mbp, but it made moving my mbp around a bit of a hassle with it connected...

When the backup drive is not connected, some of the free space on the internal drive will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. Local snapshots will protect you from unintended file deletions, but not from a drive failure. You should only go as long between backups as you're willing to lose data. If losing a week's worth of work is acceptable to you, then that backup frequency is OK. Otherwise, it isn't.

For example: Video footage from time 5m22s to 9m:18s and 11m17s to 15m31s from the imported video clip. I know you can select video but I cannot figure out how to select from those requested time markers.

I am glad that bbqdevil's *workaround* will "do the trick"
Did you give the Timer idea a try yet? It seems to me that you are really needing to know when a certain amount of time has elapsed rather than *time how long you have being taking a reading*. Will you always have your hand free to tap the Watch? If so, why would you need the StopWatch going? - just look again at the sweep second hand on the clock.
It still remains that one should be able to set the time elapsed before sleep on a Chronograph w/ sweep second WatchFace though. I have searched and searched, to no avail.
I would suggest Siri, but it seems like many issues with Siri are ongoing and might just add another problem to the mix.
If I were you, I would Call Apple Support. It is sometimes tricky to get that option in the "breadcrumb" process Apple has instituted, but I was able to test the process before suggesting this:

I need to change the duration 'before' the Watch goes to sleep while observing the Chronograph Watch Face.
I am a healthcare provider. I need to use my Watch to assist me in taking vital signs. On a normal watch, I would start counting pulses or respirations at a 15 second interval on the Analog Chronograph sweep second hand > stop counting at the next 15 sec. interval > multiply X 4 to get rate/minute.
The Watch goes to sleep after SEVEN (7) seconds !! Therefore I cannot see when 15 seconds has elapsed. I use both hands regularly in the procedure, so touching the Watch is not an option - or 'raise the Watch' to my viewing position.
I, and others in the ASC forum have searched for a Setting for the before sleep duration in vain.

I have a 25 song playlist that is around 2 hours on my computer appears as 2003 minutes on my iPad. It's a smart playlist limited to 25 songs if that makes any difference. Is this happening to anyone else? Any help would be appreciated!

First make an iCal backup, File > Export > Archive.
Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
__NOTE: Removing these files will remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
Once the computer is back up and running open iCal and test.

Display for: timer sets itself, no matter what

I was prompted to download an update to Captivate today. So,
I did. Now I am having problems overriding the "Display for:"
timer. It keeps setting itself, I need to override it to something
less than what it thinks it needs. Is there a way to turn this off.
I was not having this problem until I downloaded the update...so,
I'm frustrated.
What am I doing: I want to create a slide, and the user can
click/not click on the correct area. If not a failure message pops
up for 0.2 secs. Then, I advance to the next slide and I display a
text box with the same error message and add some animation.
However, I am having a hard time gettng the Display for: timer set
to 0.2, it keeps setting itself to 4 or 5 seconds. Is anyone else
having this issue? Are you able to get around it. Otherwise, I'll
have to try to remove the update.

I don't know if that was the issue or not. (I wound up
restoring my system because I wasn't able to be productive).
However, here is what I know, I NEVER unchecked that option to
begin with. What was happening was that I would go to the Options
page and manually type my change in the Display For: field. Then,
I'd hit Apply, and it would change the time to what it calculated
and not keep my manual changes. I would expect that no matter what,
if I made a manual change, then it should keep it. Unless the new
version enforced that option differently. But, why would they do
that...
