Time field in alv list

Hi all ,
i want to display alv list with time field . if no data exists in that field its showing 00:00:00 , i have to show it blank. if i change time field as type c in my internal table its showing like this 121314, i need to display it 12:13:14 . if no data it should display balnk . can any one help me out to reslove this issue?

do this:
declare in your itab a field like sy-uzeit.
as example.
move sy-uzeit to itab-uzeit.
In fieldcat do this:
MOVE 'X' TO WA_FIELDCAT-NO_ZERO.

Please check in the internal table 'IT_EMPLOYEE' , the relevant currency field as it should type compatible with your reference table field.

How to edit particular field in alv list display-urgent

HI ALL,
my requirement is i am displaying output using alv list display. now my rewuirement :
i am displaying out in edit mode only. when user clicks one particular field
for example record is like
runrate a01 maheed -> if user clicks on a01 this field should be editable. i have a following code

Sum of a field in ALV List

Hello Guys,
I'm using 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' in my prog.
There is a field in output table which is of type P(8) Decimals 3.
When I'm trying to get the sum of this field in ALV Display it gives the message " Desired operation cannot be performed for column 'Converted Quantity' ".
I have also tried do_sum = 'X'.
But it is not working. Please help guys.

Finding sum for time field in alv

hi gurus.,
i need to find total hours.. i am using field of data type 'TIMS' ... i converted the value to decimal in ALV and founfd total hours .. i need the total hours in Time format .. how can i achieve this in alv .. its very urgent ...

Hi Shivakumar,
I suggest you not to convert TIMS to Decimal
because it won't give you correct result..
Eg...
Time1 = '11:56:32'
Time2 = '11:50:10'
now add these two times...
u will get the sum of these as 23:06:42
but in real life... you want the result as 23:46:42
So the better way for getting accurate result is to convert this
HH:MM:SS to Seconds
and then sum these seconds
then again convert it to HH:MM:SS
1 hr = 3600 sec
1 min = 60 sec
Hope it will solve your problem...

How to save the edited fields in ALV list

hope you could help me find a solution, I made my fields editable in ALV grid display as you can see in the code ZID_NUM, ZLAST_NAME and ZMIDDLE_NAME is editable..
an example scenario would be if I execute the program it will show me 5 lines, all the fields can be edited by the user...(example he edited all data in the result). When he press save, it will automatically update the ztable (ZMEMPLIST in this case). How do you go about the saving?

ALV LIST with few checkboxes fields

Hi everyone,
I want to create an ALV with 2 fields that are checkboxes.
I am succeeding to create an ALV with one checkbox field.
How do we do in order to create an ALV with 2 checkboxes fields using ALV LIST ?
I know that we have to specify in the layout of the ALV the name of the field we want it to be checkbox.
For example :

But, how do we specify a second checkbox field ?

Change and Save records on ALV List

Hi,
i made alv list with fieldcatalog-edit to change records on alv list. But i want to save it to my dictionary table after changed. I think i should use dialog program to do that. The problem is how i can use dialog program.(i dont have an idea which user-command perform fields on alv list) I have used dialog programs before but i am new on this so i am not sure how i can do that. I will be pleased if you can help me.

You have to code that in the AT- USER COMMAND event.
Follow the below sample code.
If the record is changed then track its index no.
        and populate it in an internal table for future
        action

            APPEND i_index.

Hide a field in ALV "Display Details" list

Hi Experts,
I have a requirment where I have to hide a field in ALV output, as well as in "Details display". I already put NO_OUT = 'X' for that field in fieldcatalog itself. It is hidden in the ALV output anyway, but the problem is when user selects a row and clicks on "Details" button in toolbar of ALV, it still displays the hidden fields of that ALV list with/out headings there.
Hope you understood my problem, pls respond soon if you hav any solution for this?
