Timeline in flv vedio file

Is it possible to include timeline in video files(.flv) in PDF from InDesign). But the timeline of the video & total time is displayed in the animation panel in InDesign.
How to include those in videos like we see in youtubes..

I'm not sure it can be done? Others might know though?

MKV and FLV are just container formats, though, you need to survey some video files to see what video codecs are actually in streams and support them one by one. Supporting some proprietary video formats may involve licensing costs from patent holders.

I have to Create the flash presentation for our company product
In this presentation the left side the text animation are displayed then right side the our product video is displayed.
In this presentation i need the following option :
1, The first product video and animation is finished then the next product is played
2, then the video displayed (size width and height 400x300) , I click this video to increase the size(ex:1000x700)
3, then the playing video i control it play, stop, paus button and volume bar, seek bar.
4, then this presentation is displayed on 42 inches LCD TV so this full presentation is run full screen.

Unable to import Vob vedio file in to my project

I am unable to import my VOB vedio file in to my Adobe Premier pro cs6.Please help me on this how can i edit .VOB file

vob files are files from DVD and sometimes they are copyrighted and have meta data in them that makes it hard to use.. cause the manufacturer of that DVD tried to add data to the file so people can't abuse the copyright. Not all vob files have just video in them.. some have other stuff in them ... like menus and weird stuff that is used by the DVD to display chapters and special features and so on.. So basically not all VOB files are equal .. they are not all the same.. so your problem could be any number of problems...
If you provide more info .. like maybe someone can help out a bit... but it may be hard to help solve the problem even WITH more info... depending where you got the file and what's inside it. sorry that isnt very helpful right off the bat , but vob files can be weird. Another problem with some vob files is that not all of them are written really 'correctly'... even though it is a standardized thing some programs that make vob files dont do a very good job of making them... so .. maybe more info from you could help.. but then again.. it might not lead to a happy ending for you...

FCE can use DV or AIC video formats natively. Any other format will need to be converted to one of those two if you want to avoid constant rendering. The clips you use must match the Sequence settings.

I think that the customizing in transaction DC30 is important for you. Because for attaching video and word files you have to set up the necessary workstation applications in this transaction.

Hi Smita,
I have only limited experience with Media servers. The one I have been exposed to in the past is from Adobe http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/ . I would suggest that the media server hosts the video content and that you merely provide a link or you could even embed it like a you tube video on a portal page. The key thing is that the media server is responsible for delivering the content to the user and not the SAP Portal. I hope that makes sense.

This suggestion worked to see the hidden folder(s). Thanks very much, but I feel like I am miles away from moving my ipod music to my new computer and getting it all to work. Here is why...
1. First when I plug the ipod in, in disk mode, to the USB slot it shows up as a K drive for a minute or so and then disappears. itunes keeps opening, asking me to sync (which will erase all my music on the ipod!) and the K drive (ipod) vanishes.
2. I pod help says to drag the itunes file out to the desktop and then drag the itunes file on the ipod into the "my music" file within documents and settings. However, there is an "ipod control" file (was hidden) and within this there is the following: artwork, itunes (with 13 subfolders of its own), device, and music. So do I just drag the itunes file inside ipod control into My music? Or do I drag the whole ipod control file? or other?
3. Additionally there are K drive (ipod) files for calendar, photos, contacts, notes, and ipod control (was hidden). I don't care about any content in the first four, but are they needed to operate? Do I drag these over also to the My music file?

Todd, I wanted to bounce an idea i have for expediting the PrP timeline to a finished file off you. It is the result of dialogs I have had with Wil and some of the folks at AJA that I beta test for. I have the utmost respect for your knowledge and experience with PrP 5.5 and want to know your thoughts.
My goal was to avoid some of the lenthy export times that can happen with certain kinds of productions in PrP. Choosing Prores as the Preview codec is the first step in my alternative approach.This workflow at this point is theoretical, but feasible. Like I said, if you edit either long form shows or graphic intensive projects, the exporting process can involve hours of time. All my professional life Ive worked in client oriented sessions. At the end of a 2 day edit, if I told a client it was going to take 8 hours to export their video, they probably would run screaming from the edit bay
So the solution is this. Instead of spending all that rendering time, I just play out the timeline through a Kona 3 SDI output that is hooked up to a Ki Pro Mini recorder. If the show is 20 minutes, the dump to the KPM is 20 min. and you get a Prores master when you are done. 90 min. movie? Instead of a 20 hour render, you spend 90 minutes dumping the timeline to the KPM. Its analogous to dumping to tape, a process I did for the last 30 years in about every edit bay I ever worked in. There are some unknowns at this point that need testing. And if involves purchasing the AJA product. But I think its a great alternative to the time intensive export process that PrP is locked into for certain kinds of productions.

edit: also, believe it or not, some DIT and video and camera "crew" peoples... actually build their own components to do work on movies etc.. sometimes renting that equip to production to use on the production. Breakout boxes type things, wireless transmitters and recievers for various things...like one video guy I know had a video feed from a camera on helicopter flying above central park to a hand held monitor ( HD ) he was holding... he made it.
pretty cool. walkie talkies on ground were then able to help pilot get shots while watching thru the lens on ground...( director to pilot etc ).
some stuff will always be mix and match and work with what works... no matter what

We're moving away from Mini DV tapes to DVD Mpeg2 files.
Working in Win7 with Pro 1.5 I'm trying to write a Mpg2 file from the timeline and have questions.
An i7 processor will render our 25 minute timeline in 15 minutes, but it takes over an hour to export a rendered timeline to a MPEG2 (File > Export > Adobe Media Encoder).
It's much faster to dump the timeline to tape… but are 1 hour the encoding times something I should expect?
In Win7, is the file extension *.MPG actually a Pro 1.5 mpeg2 file?
Is there a way to drastically increase creating a mpg2 file from a Pro 1.5 (or any version) timeline?

Vedio files in avi and asf format to ipod vedio

hi,
i have some lectures in avi and asf format (about 13 GIG) on my laptop...
1).. i want to sync. and play them on my ipod vedio.. how can i do this .. i tried to convert avi and asf files to MP4 using software but could not sync.
2> is it possible to extract audio only from these vedio files and sync. it to ipod audio.
Any specific software for my above two questions.. any help will be appreciated

There are alot of conversion programs out there if you do a search. The one I use converts alot of different formats of audio and video, and yes it will also strip just the audio from a video file. Here's a link to watch a demo if you like.
