Timeout warnings in the Sun ONE MQ log

I am running Sun ONE MQ 3.0.1 Enterprise Edition
with Windows 2000 Advanced Server. In the log excerpt below, there are warnings referring to 'Timeout' in reaching states. Does anyone know
what causes this? These timeout warnings are throughout the log.

The broker generates these warning when it expects certain
protocol from the client but does not receive it in the 180 second
reply window. When this occurs the connection to the client is
closed by the broker.
For example when a client makes a connection to the broker
the broker sends an AUTHENTICATE_REQUEST to the client.
The client should reply with an AUTHENTICATE response.
If the broker does not receive that response in 180 seconds
it generates the warning you are seeing and closes the connection for the client.
What can cause a client not to respond? If it is on a very heavly
loaded system it may not repond in time - but 180 seonds is a
long time. But given you are using the HTTPS service it is
possible the https servlet is the slow point given it may be
processing many clients. The broker could potentially be the
problem if it is heavly loaded or the host it is running on is
heavily loaded. You should rule all these out first.
To debug this you might try increasing the timeout to see
if that helps the situation:
# timeout in seconds in waiting for client hello and response to
# authentication request on a connection
imq.authentication.client.response.timeout=180

  • Deploying servlets in the Sun One Web Server 6.1

    Friends, Please let me know how to deploy servlets in the Sun One Web Server 6.1.
    Thanks in advance,
    Madan.

    You cannot get that behavior.
    When an SSL client and server negotiate the connection, the client sends a list of all the cipher suites it supports. From that list the server will pick the most secure cipher suite which it also supports (if the server doesn't support any of the cipher suites proposed by the client, the connection establishment will fail).
    RC4 (128bit) is more secure than 3DES (112 bit). Thus, a server will never pick 3DES above RC4_128 if both are valid options (i.e. when both client and server support both). If you really wanted to force use of 3DES you need to disable RC4_128 in the server (or all the clients; or both).

  • How to change the jdk version of the sun one appserver 8.1

    hi
    i have installed appserver8.1 with a jdk 1.5 .
    i am facing some problem with the parsers (my application needs to use a crimson parsers which is not supported by jdk1.5 i guess)
    so i am trying to change the jdk version by changing the asenv.conf file
    but the appservers wont start up if i do so.
    help !! please

    This is strange. Setting AS_JAVA to the install location of your jdk instance should work. I have done it many times.
    What kind of errors are you getting in the server log file?

  • It says Login failed. it shows error code: -1 . we have 2 ipads and the other one is log in

    My ipad shows Login failed, error code: -1 whereby my husband's ipad is working fine

    Well, I wanted to have the audio come from one camera scource and it seemed to be the only way that I could acomplish that by duplicating the cam 2 track.  One thing that helped me trouble shoot this was to create a new event and project and optimize all of my media instead of using the proxy, (I don't know why but it worked)
    I was able to edit the multicam track with two camera angles and it used the camera 2 angle's audio... as soon as I finished my project and exported the files.. my hard drive crashed.  I don't know if it was a buggy software, or a failing drive that caused the blank angles in the original multicam edit.  I guess I will have to find out weather or not this new hard drive crashes during my next job.
    I appreciate your reply to this post Tom.

  • I have changed my Apple ID so that it would reflect my new email address. My Apple devices and icloud info do not display my new ID, even though I use the new one to log into iTunes, etc.  How can I get this problem resolved so that I might feel confident

    After changing my Apple ID I do not seem to be able to recognize it as my proper ID. It does work properly for an iTunes login and password, but, it is not displayed that way on my device when I look at my iCloud settings and other "system level" settings.
    How do I correct this to be confident that I can use a feature, such as "Find My iPhone" and know that the functions and contact info is correct?

    To change the iCloud ID on your device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone when prompted, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.

  • Inactivity timeout of connection pool - Sun ONE 7 and Oracle 8i

    Friends,
    I have a JDBC connection configured, looked up by JNDI working fine with servlets.
    The question is: I have a firewall between my appserver and the database server that closes all idle connections longer than 10 minutes.
    The appserver assumes the connection is still alive, and when there is made an attempt, it keeps trying for a long time.
    Is there any way I can keep that connection alive?
    Or, any way to 'tell' the appserver to reestablish the connection?
    Thanks in advance

  • Can not add the Palm Emulator to Sun ONE Studio 5 ME

    I am trying to add the Palm Emulator (version 3.5) to the list of emulation devices within the Sun ONE Studio 5 ME.
    First, it seems like Studio 5 requires that the emulator resides in a bin subdirectory. Second and here where the problem is. Once the emulator is identified by Studio 5 (as a "Standard UEI Emulator" and after I click on "Next", Studio 5 tries to get information about the configuration of the emulator and its profiles.
    I, immediately get an error (generated by the Palm OS Emulator) stating: "Don't understand the command line parameter "-version"." within a message box. Once I click OK, the Studio 5 says that the operation failed.
    This is as far as I could go.
    I would like to mention that I am running Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1. I am also working with a ROM image that I downloaded from my PalmVx PDA.

    Hello Hassan,
    I've done the following: I've used Palm emulator that's included with WTK 1.0.4_01 provided with Sun ONE Studio 5, ME. If you try to execute application using this 'device' you'll be asked to point to directory with Palm Emulator 3.5 (the one you have), emulator.exe. Then it takes over and asks for skins, ROMs and other stuff.
    Hope this helps,
    Peter

  • Sun One 7 2004Q2 restart on breakpoint in debug

    Hi,
    I have a very annoying problem.
    I took over a project from another team of another company. I have to migrate the web application (using Struts, J2EE, EJB 2.0, ...) from Sun One to JBoss.
    For this, a specific profile is searched, and awaiting this profile, i have to get to know the project, structure and code (i don't know any EJB 2.0, i know Hibernate and Spring and like that a lot more than EJB).
    Now i'm working a month and a half already on this project, reading documentation, adding documentation, inspecting the code, and developing small changes and bugfixes.
    Every time i wanted to perform a remote application debug from within Eclipse to the Sun One AS, things fail.
    I start Sun One in debug mode, i check the address port, i connect to that port from Eclipse in debug mode (remote application debug), but when the application reaches the breakpoint, the Sun One AS just restarts, and the application gives a page not found.
    First i thought it was a memory problem (i read logs with OutOfMemory and parallel GC errors, but i can't find the logs anymore), and i finally got a computer with 2GB RAM (we work on VPC's). But that didn't solve the problem either.
    I removed the -Xmx option for maximum heap size, but that didn't do any good either.
    Does anyone know how i can perform debugging from within Eclipse to the Sun One AS without problems?
    Thanks very much in advance.

  • Prob w/ Tungsten T3 and Sun One

    I have a Tungsten T3 Palm Pilot that is connecting to a Windows XP Professional laptop. This machine has 1GB of RAM, 40GB HDD, and 2.3GHZ. The problem that I am having is that when I try to synchronize contents from the iPlanet calendar server to the Palm Desktop ( Palm Desktop 4.14 ), I get the following error message shown here:
    Sun ONE Synchronization
    Errors and Warnings
    Serial #: 1
    Application: Date Book
    Type: Error
    Data:
    Start Date =
    Start Time =
    End Date = 12/31/1970
    End Time =
    Description = \
    Alarm = 0
    Alarm Date =
    Alarm Time =
    Private = 0
    Note =
    Error Message(s):
    Field out of range: Start Date
    It gives me the option to proceed but when I click on proceed nothing gets transferred over, even though the message box says "Synchronization completed successfully". I have re-installed the Palm Desktop software, the Sun One Software and even went as far as starting from scratch and deleting all Palm and Sun One entries from the registry and re-installing from there with no luck. There is no date that I am aware of, boasting the year 1970 ( as stated in the log ), so I dont know why the application DateBook is screaming about this. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated it, it seems that I have tried everything. I even went to the Sun One and Palm Support Sites but still I didnt have any luck of finding the solution to this. btw I installed the latest Sun One patches but still no luck and also updated the Palm Desktop application.

    Hi Sergio,
    Have you tried enabling full debugging on the Sun synchronisation tool? This may provide you with additional debugging information to help resolve your issue.
    To turn on full debugging, run:
    Start -> Programs -> Sun One Synchronization -> Sun One Synchronization Debug Log
    Set the logging level to 5 and try the synchronization again.
    The debug log is placed in:
    C:\program files\common files\XCPCSync\Log\rsSync.log
    Cheers,
    Shane.

  • Crystal Reports XI and Sun One 6.1 web server SP 5 Error finding JNDI name

    I am trying to create a Crystal Reports XI report in a JSP using Sun One 6.1 Web server sp 5.
    At this point I am getting the error Error finding JNDI name on Sun One
    The application will run on Netbeans/Tomcat
    I have done the following:
    I edited CRConfig.xml
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <CrystalReportEngine-configuration>

    <DataDriverCommon>
         <JavaDir>C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_10\bin</JavaDir>
    <Classpath>C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1\jdbc\lib\ojdbc14.jar;</Classpath>

    <JDBC>
         <CacheRowSetSize>100</CacheRowSetSize>
         <JDBCURL>jdbc:oracle:thin:@10.10.10.10:1521:dev</JDBCURL>
         <JDBCClassName>oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver</JDBCClassName>
         <JDBCUserName>lab_ro</JDBCUserName>
         <JNDIURL></JNDIURL>

    </JDBC>
    I created a report using JDBC (JNDI) connection and have the JNDI Connection set to the name of DATA.
    The report works just fine in Crystal Reports.
    Then in Netbeans I created an application and it runs in the Tomcat part of Netbeans
    In context.xml I have:
    <Context path="/BOEnterpriseTest3">
    <Resource name="jdbc/dev" auth="Container" type="javax.sql.DataSource"

    username="theuserid" password="thepassword" maxActive="20" maxIdle="10" maxWait="-1"/>
    </Context>
    In web.xml I have
    <web-app>

    <param-name>crystal_image_uri</param-name>
    <param-value>crystalreportviewers11</param-value>

  • Installing Sun One Studio on Linux Mandrake 9.1

    I try to install the Sun One Studio 5 on my mandrake 9.1 Linux.
    I am using the jdk 1.4.2 and I am logged as root.
    When running the command:
    ./s1s5se-linux-en.bin -isjavahome /home/products/j2sdk1.4.2
    I get the error message:
    The installation cannot continue for the following reason(s):
    To install Sun ONE Studio 5 you need to log in as superuser or a user with administrator privileges.

    Yep I agree this is very disapointing, however I have got Sun One Studio 5 Standard Edition working on Mandrake 9.1
    Fortunatley I am lucky enough to have a spare hard drive and RedHat7.2, another pc networked up and the following is what I did....
    Installed Redhat7.2, j2sdk1.4.2, then ran the SunOneStudio install as root, tested and works fine.
    The Studio gets installed into /opt there are 2 dirs which are needed from what I can tell 1 is the ide "studio5_se" itself and the other called "imq"
    cd into the root dir and create a tar file of the opt dir
    tar -cf opt.tar opt
    gzip opt.tar
    I then copied the opt.tar.gz to a place I could download to the other machine, so I downloaded it, then shutdown RedHat,
    re-installed my original Mandrake9.1 Hard Drive, and booted up.
    logged in as root, and then transferred my opt.tar.gz to Mandrake,
    untared it into the opt dir and then moved the imq and studio5_se dirs into /opt
    installed j2sdk1.4.2 rpm on Mandrake9.1
    then command line I
    1, cd /opt/studio5_se/bin
    2, ./runide.sh -jdkhome /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2
    and HEY PRESTO
    The only reason why I can see that the IDE will not install under mandrake is possible the coding under the Installsheild, maybe it looks for a file or someting that RedHat has and not mandrake, or just tests the OS to see if it is in the supported list, and if not then throws the error
    If that is the case then it's proberly likely that it was setup like this because RedHat gives money to sun and not Mandrake????!!!?????
    maybe I don't know3 just my observation, but 1 thing I do know is that due to this error I shall not be buying it, until sun change the way to install it or they go back to the old way the Forte installed
    Just my thoughts,
    and I hope this helps someone
