Timeout when I trying to compile Package
Hi
When I tried to compile package show me error:
timeout ocurred while waiting to lock Schema.Mypackage
1. Verify whether the package is locked by another user:
SELECT * FROM v$access WHERE object = '<package>';
If there a row is returned, the package is still locked.
2. Use the SID which is returned and check in v$session which session is
locking this package.
SELECT SID, SERIAL#, OSUSER, USERNAME FROM V$SESSION WHERE sid = '<SID>
3. If the session still is shown, use:
ALTER SYSTEM KILL SESSION '<sid>, <serial#>';
check the above work out.

Suffering an complie error when trying to compile java class in EBS11i
Hi,
When I trying to compile java classes with which imported the HttpServletResponse class, will get the follow error message:
package javax.servlet does not exist
cannot resolve symbol
symbol : class HttpServletResponse
It seems the javax.servlet package is not included in the classpath. But I checked the $CLASSPATH, it seems no problem.
echo $CLASSPATH
/u02/applvis/viscomn/util/java/1.4/j2sdk1.4.2_04/lib/tools.jar:/u02/applvis/viscomn/util/java/1.4/j2sdk1.4.2_04/lib/dt.jar:/u02/applvis/viscomn/util/java/1.4/j2sdk1.4.2_04/jre/lib/charsets.jar:/u02/applvis/viscomn/util/java/1.4/j2sdk1.4.2_04/jre/lib/rt.jar:/u02/applvis/viscomn/java/appsborg2.zip:/u02/applvis/visora/8.0.6/forms60/java:/u02/applvis/viscomn/java
Does anyone know the reason?

1. Edit $APPL_TOP/admin/adovars.env file -
Add the following jar files to the AF_CLASSPATH line -
Full path of /...../iAS/Apache/Jsdk/lib/jsdk.jar
Full path of /...../iAS/Apache/Jserv/libexec/ApacheJServ.jar
2. Bounce the concurrent manager in order to have the changes take effect. -
Why am I getting an ORA-04052 error when I try to compile a Procedure?
Hi,
The following procedure I'm getting an ORA-04052 error when I try to compile the following procedure.
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE APPS.Find_String (
pin_referenced_name IN dba_dependencies.referenced_name%TYPE)
IS
cursor cur_get_dependancy
is
SELECT distinct owner, name, type
FROM [email protected] -- prod.world
WHERE lower(referenced_name) = lower(pin_referenced_name) --'ftbv_salesrep_all_1d'
AND referenced_type <> 'SYNONYM'
AND owner <> 'SYS'
order by name;
v_owner varchar2(40);
v_name varchar2(50);
v_type varchar2(40);
BEGIN
dbms_output.put_line(upper(pin_referenced_name)||' is found in the following objects.');
dbms_output.put_line(' ');
dbms_output.put_line(RPAD('OWNER', 30, ' ')||RPAD('NAME', 60, ' ')||RPAD('OBJECT TYPE', 30, ' '));
dbms_output.put_line('-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------');
FOR i IN cur_get_dependancy
LOOP
v_owner := RPAD(i.owner, 30, ' ');
v_name := RPAD(i.name, 45, ' ');
v_type := RPAD(i.type, 30, ' ');
dbms_output.put_line(v_owner ||v_name|| v_type);
END LOOP;
END find_string;I'm using the link [email protected]. The procedure compiles for other database links used in the cursor including the one commented to the right of the code 'prod.world'.
What's even stranger is that I took the SELECT statement
SELECT distinct owner, name, type
FROM [email protected] -- prod.world
WHERE lower(referenced_name) = lower(pin_referenced_name) --'ftbv_salesrep_all_1d'
AND referenced_type <> 'SYNONYM'
AND owner <> 'SYS'
order by name;out of the procedure and ran it on the command line using the @pinp.world link, the SQL statement ran just fine. But when I tried to compile the above procedure with that exact same SQL statement with the exact same link I get the following string of errors.
ORA-04052: error occurred when looking up remote object [email protected]
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-02068: following severe error from PINP
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channelHow can the link work just fine in a regular SQL statement but then cause an error when its compiled in code that otherwise compile just fine when using any other link or even just a plain database. Does anyone have any suggestions?OK Justin,
Here's the query by itself run in another database using the @pinp.world link and querying the dba_dependencies table in the pinp.world database. As you can see the query using this link works just fine returning the requested rows. I can't figure out why the compiler is having an issue with essentially this same query when I try to compile it in a cursor in TOAD. Also this is the database (dev1.world) that I'm trying to compile this Procedure in.
By the way I'm in an Oracle 9.2.0.6 database and TOAD v9.2.

Getting error message Cannot Resolve Symbol when trying to compile a class
Hello All -
I am getting an error message cannot resolve symbol while trying to compile a java class that calls another java class in the same package. The called class compiles fine, but the calling class generates
the following error message:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
tnx..
addiIs ConnectionPool in this "cal" package as well as PooledConnection? From the directory you are compiling from it appears that it is. If it is, then you are compiling it incorrectly. To compile ConnectionPool (and PooledConnection similarly), you must change the current directory to the one that contains cal and type
javac cal/ConnectionPool. -
Virtual memory exhausted when compiling packages from AUR
Recently I've seen this error more and more often. When I tried compiling some packages from AUR, I ended up getting "virtual memory exhausted" error. The first time it happened with clementine-git, then android-studio. Can I do something about it?
I am also facing the same problem. I am trying to install a package, and the installations aborts saying 'virtual memory exhausted'. The RAM is 2 GB and i have alloted 2 GB as swap. Things i have tried so far
-install using yaourt
-install using makepkg.
-change TMPDIR to HDD.
Even when i tried it without any window manager to start, limiting the RAM usage, the problem still persists. The only way is to allot an extra swap space, but that would mean that i will have to delete a partition, which is not a feasible solution. Is there anything else one could do. ?

Wat you can do is ???
you gonna change your classpath to %tomcathome%=C: or D: or etc/Programfiles/Apache Tomcat 4.0/lib/etc/servlet.jar.
or else try locating servlet.jar file in the tomcat folder and place that in
C:\j2sdk1.4.0_01\lib folder and try compiling your code.
I guess it will work.

Java.lang.NullPointerException when trying to compile
Hi everybody!
I'm trying to compile a file using javax.tools.JavaCompiler but I get a java.lang.NullPointerException when running the program.
Here is my code:
public boolean CompExecFile(File filename){
boolean compRes = false;
try {
System.out.println(filename.getAbsolutePath());

compRes = compiler.getTask(null, fileManager, null, null, null, compilationUnits2).call();
fileManager.close();
if (compRes) {
System.out.println ("Compilation was successful");
} else {
System.out.println ("Compilation failed");

return compRes;
}There error on the line "StandardJavaFileManager fileManager = compiler.getStandardFileManager(null, null, null);":
Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.NullPointerException+
I've seen several examples using the parameters "null,null,null" but I don't know if it's good :(
Many thanks for your help.I've found something which could maybe be what I need to do but I'm not sure:
// Build a new ClassLoader using the given URLs, replace current Classloader
ClassLoader oldCL = Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader();
ClassLoader newCL = new URLClassLoader(myClasspathURLs, oldCL);
Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(newCL);
System.out.println("Successfully replaced ClassLoader");
Class fooClass = newCL.loadClass(appClass); //which replaces the line "Class<?> tempFileClass = Class.forName("TempFile");" ?!Is that what I need to do?
EDIT: I've tried that but I still have the same problem:
File classFile = new File ("TempFile.class");
ClassLoader oldCL = Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader();
ClassLoader newCL = new URLClassLoader(new URL[] {classFile.toURL()}, oldCL);
Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(newCL);
System.out.println("Successfully replaced ClassLoader");
Class tempFileClass = newCL.loadClass("TempFile");
Method main = tempFileClass.getMethod("main", String[].class);
main.invoke(null,new String[0]); Edited by: Foobrother on Jul 28, 2008 8:18 AM -
Error when Compiling package header and body - how change pkb file associat
Hi everyone,
it has already been noticed elsewhere (in the thread "Compiling package header and body" of Jan 12, 2010) that the compilation of package scripts sometimes fails (apparently because of a sqldeveloper bug) when the script contains the terminating slash /.
Is this bug still open?
Next question: In the above mentioned thread it is recommended as workaround to change the corresponding file type association from pl/sql to sql. I would like to do that; I know the place in the preferences dialog, but most of the associations there seem to be hard coded and cannot be changed.
I would appreciate any ideas!
Thanks in advance,
user8632123.For the workaround: you'd have to change the file's extension, not the association (to e.g. .sql).
Have fun,

Does it proceed further after showing the error ?
Or you can't open the package at all?
Also one more thing, did you upgrade only the server side?
Is the cient side also on the same version?

Error when trying to compile HTML help
I'm using RoboHelp 7.0 on Windows XP. All of the sudden, last
week, I start getting the following error when I try to compile
"Fatal Error: Unexpected error from Microsoft HTML compiler." I've
read the other posts regarding this error and deleted the .CPD file
multiple times and tried to compile again still with no success.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and not had any
better results. The other author in my office can check the project
out of RoboSource and compile it fine. I have it on my local drive
when trying to compile.
I'd appreciate any ideas. It doesn't make sense that is
something in the project since my other author can compile it fine.
Thanks,
NitaHi, Nita,
Do you have any other RoboHelp projects that you can try
compiling? This may help to determine whether there's something
slightly askew about this particular project — sounds
unlikely if your colleague can compile without error — or
whether the problem lies in your RoboHelp installation.
I'd also recommend that you run MJ's Help Diagnostics,
available from the address below. This will verify that all the
HTML Help viewer and compiler components are properly installed and
registered on your machine.

Any assistance on correcting this problem would be GREATLY appreciated, since I will lose a bunch of work I have completed working with the l4p file.

Thanks!
Jason PhillipsGeoff,
Go into your Lookout folder and look for the file "cbl.err". Open that file in notepad or wordpad and you should see where your errors are that are preventing your file from compiling.
I got so used to Lookout generating the errors when a compile failed and displaying them immediately that I forgot about checking this file.
Good luck!

Time-out (ORA-4021) while trying to compile a package
Hi,
we often get this error when we try to compile a package.
We have never found a lock on this package nor a user who used it. So we had to restart the database to compile the package
We have a 9.0.1 database on a Windows system.
I have seen that this problem has been reported earlier, but I have not seen a solution for this problem.
Can anyone help us?
thanks
KlausCheck the V$access view to find what are the objects getting accessed and by whom? And check for users who is accessing that package and the objects which you used in that package. There is a likely chance that if the users are compiling the packages in debug mode from TOAD.. the locks will not released automatically due to a bug in toad version..
