Timezone issue

Hi,
I am based in Sydney, Australia and have the database with APEX runing here and Database timezone set to AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time).
Now, In one of the fields in my form, which links to a timestamp with local timezone column, 23/11/2010 (23rd November 2010) comes up as 22/11/2010, a day earlier when page is rendered.
If I query that particular row, I get the correct value in SQL developer and SQL Plus.
I have set Automatic Timezone on for the application which was supposed to extract users timezone in browser but no luck.
Anyone ran into this problem? Any suggestions appreciated.
My settings:
Apex 4.2.2
Theme 26.
Oracle Database 11GR2

  • How to resolve timezone issue from integrator server

    Hi All,
For the timezone issue where the midnight time shows differently than other times in studio(timezone issue: midnight time i.e. time with 00:00:00 gets added with 1 extra hour as compared to other rows time .suppose we have 2 rows 1 of them has time as 1st april 9am and 2nd row 2nd april 00:00:00 then in studio 1 row can be seen as 1st april 11am and 2nd one will be 2nd april 3 am.extra 1 hour is added for midnight row) ,I applied the timezone fix of run configuration(Added the argument "-Duser.timezone=UTC" in: Run > Run Configurations > launch-config > Arguments tab > VM arguments) in integrator and it worked fine.
While running the graphs form clover server I am seeing timezone issue.Does anyone have any idea on how should the timezone issue be fixed if we plan to run the graphs from clover server.
    Thank you so much.

  • TimeZone issue in FTP Adapter

    Issue is:
Source (from where the file is being picked up) is on IST timezone and the weblogic managed server(where code is residing) is on GMT timezone.
When we set the "MinimumFileAge"=2 min, it waits for longer time then expected. In other words, file couldnot get picked up.
Whe we set the  "MinimumFileAge"=0, it picks the file as soon as file reached to source.
What is the resolution, if i want to pick the file after 2 mins?
    Help Appreciated
**We tried with setting ServerTimeZone on FTP connection pool  is equal to GMT+5.30 or IST, but it couldnot worked out.

  • [SOLVED] Timezone issue with Mythtv

I've just gotten home and have gone to use Mythtv frontend in the lounge room but I am getting the issue:
Your frontend and backend are configured in different timezones. You must correct this mismatch to continue
This has also recently happened on the frontend out the backroom but I haven't had a chance to look at it. But now that the one in the lounge room has done it I will have to get it sorted. I use NTP on the system to keep the time in sync but it doesn't seem to be the issue. Seems to be related to Mythtv. I haven't changed anything on the system at all.
My system is still using rc.conf
So I am hoping someone might be able to help me correct this issue?

  • Oracle 11g OMS: Database Instance Home Tab:  Page Refreshed Timezone Issue

Hi all...I've searched the forums and search engines for specific information on this issue, but have not seen a viable solution so far. We have Oracle 11g Grid Control 11.1.0.1
installed on a Solaris V490 using Solaris 10, with an Oracle 11.2.0.1 database.
The Database instance Home tab for all 50+ databases shows the date and time of the 'Page Refreshed' in GMT. The OS and the Agent software both are configured
with the TZ set to US/Eastern. All other page displays e.g. Performance, Availability for Data Guard Standby etc. all show the refreshed time in EDT, it is ONLY
the Home tab for the instance that has the GMT format.
I have not seen any threads or other information that describes specifically how to correct this or even to change it. There are many related posts about the Agent
end.properties, the OS /etc/timezone configuration parameters, the TZ environment variable etc. but in my case they are all set properly.
Does anyone have any additional ideas or suggestions or knowledge about how , or even whether, this can be resolved?
    Thanks!
    DPH

sqlplus ... Connected to an idle instance. That means the database you're trying to connect with is offline, thus the:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not availableNo big surprise there, instance (that you're trying to connect with) is offline.
First, make sure the service OracleServiceXE for the database is running, see the services applet, Start/Run/services.msc and if it does not show "Started" hit the Start button with the OracleServiceXE selected.
sqlplus sys/admin@XE as sysdbaThat connection attempt uses sqlnet to the XE tnsalias. If you're on the database host the ...@XE part is not needed, better to use:
    $ sqlplus /nolog
    connect /as sysdba;
    ... Connected. #if its running
    -- or use:
    $ sqlplus
    ... username: sys as sysdba
    ... password ...
    Connected.
    -- also try
    $ sqlplus system
    ... password: ....
    Connected.
    select name from v$database;
...That also assumes the environment/registry entries have been configured correctly.
tnsping XE ... Attempting to contact [tnsalias connect details] ... OK (10 msec)That tells you the listener is running. It does not mean anything more than your listener is running at the host and port specified for your tnsalias are correct. It does not attempt an actual database connection. So if the database is offline but the listener is running a tnsping will not identify that particuler "problem".
lsnrctl status ... Endpoints Summary ... PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=chilakamarthy)(PORT=1521)))...That bit of info also verifies the listener is running. Again, check your services.msc applet make sure the service shows Started.

I'm using sytemd, have no rc.conf file, my BIOS clock reported being in UTC. I've been trying to fix this issue for the past few hours (including searching the wiki entries for time, beginner's guide, systemd and many other user's issues related to the clocks/timezones.)
I hope it's just a case of I missed something crucial somehow. Any help is greatly aprpeciated

Yeah, that's true, but I'd been remaking symlinks and changing the clock for a while before that iteration, I think it was only that version of the symlink that contained a spelling error.

  • UK iPhone with timezone issues

    Hi,
I have a UK iPhone and have just arrived in the US, unfortunately it's not picked p the local time and every time I change the timezone it magically jumps back to London.
I've had to go in and manually change the time however this means my world clocks are all wrong.
I have tried resetig the phone but can't think of what else, any ideas?

I have exactly the same issue. I keep changing london in both the settings date&time and also the mail, contacts, calendar. it works for a while and then sets itself back to Cupertino.
I thought this might be .me issue, but i have made sure the .me is set to GMT.
My mail is OK on the .me mail client on the web but a load of hours behind on my iphone.
Any suggestions or is this a 2.1 fix!

  • UCCX Report Customize - Timezone issue

    Hi guys,
I am developing some stored procedures for customizing UCCX reports and I am facing with Time zone issue:
    - In UCCX historical database, UTC time is used.
    - In HR Client, users (as normal) will want to use local timezone.
My question is: can we pass the timezone information to the stored procedures transparently to end user? This information (time offset) will be needed for Daily/Monthly reporting.
    Thanks,
    hoanghiep.

    Hi,
Try to configure reason codes that describes the call complete status. then you can use Historical reporting to generate a report based on those Reason codes.

  • TimeZone issues when starting the OEM Agent since summertime switch Germany

    Hello gurus,
since yesterday when the system time has swithched to summer time in Germany I have below errors when starting the agents on our systems:
    ****@*****: /oracle > su - ora*** -c /oracle/product/agent10g/bin/emctl start agent

    Starting agent ....... failed.
The agentTZRegion value in /oracle/product/agent10g/sysman/config/emd.properties is not in agreement with what agent thinks it should be.Please verify your environment to make sure that TZ setting has not changed since the last start of the agent.
If you modified the timezone setting in the environment, please stop the agent and exectute 'emctl resetTZ agent' and also execute the script mgmt_target.set_agent_tzrgn(<agent_name>, <new_tz_rgn>) to get the value propagated to repository.
Consult the log files in: /oracle/product/agent10g/sysman/log
So I tryed the suggested resetTZ, but get below errors:
    root@******: /oracle/product/agent10g/sysman/log > su - oradeu -c /oracle/product/agent10g/bin/emctl resetTZ agent
Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Release 3 Grid Control 10.2.0.3.0.

    resetTZ failed.
    The agentTZRegion in:
    /oracle/product/agent10g/sysman/config/emd.properties
is not in agreement with what the agent thinks it should be.
    Fix your environment.
Pick a TZ value that corresponds to time zone settings listed in:
    /oracle/product/agent10g/sysman/admin/supportedtzs.lst
    I checked the TZ settings:
    *****> echo $TZ
    MEZ-1MSZ,M3.5.0/02:00:00,M10.5.0/03:00:00
    *****: /oracle/product/agent10g/sysman/config > more emd.properties|grep agentTZ
    agentTZRegion=+01:00
which is the reason for the difference of 120min as shown by the resetTZ I assume because AIX system time says MEZ -1 and emd.properties finds GMT+1 which gives a difference of 120min.
I already applied the patch 5632264 to the agent, but the issue still exists.
When I manipulate the envirement TZ to GMT+01:00 the agent starts again, but this is no solution. Also patching the TZ of UNIX/AIX is no solution because this will cause other issues.
Any ideas how I can get the agent working again?
ps. I already tried a reinstallation of the Agent, but the issue still exists.
    Thank you

  • Incorrect Timezone Issue

I am trying to resolve an issue with our staff calendar using our iCal server. Our iCal server is accessed in two ways. We use both the webcalendar feature of our group wiki via the local web server and we also sync our ical applications to this same calendar. The issue we are having is that if a user adds an event to the calendar via iCal the timezone is correctly set. If the event is entered on the web calendar the event show correctly on the web calendar only but the event is off by one day in the iCal app due to an incorrect time zone setting - the event is set to UTC rather than the correct timezone of EST.
In both Server Admin and System Preferences our timezone is correctly set to Washington DC - EST.
Any help of insight would be awesome - thanks

    Hi,
I relocated all of the relevant originals to a single directory, ran the exiftool command there and then re-consolidated.
Here's my suspicion of what's going on. First, here's the overall story of what I did:
    Import pictures into aperture
    Add keywords in aperture
    Re-locate the originals
    Run the exiftool
(note that the original keywords have been lost -- only on the files that passed the -if condition)
    Re-consolidate the originals
My understanding is that when you add a keyword in aperture, it does not edit the original image file but rather adds the keyword in the Aperture metadata database. I *think* keyword is actually a single text string which aperture parses (looking for commas) to separate individual keywords. When exiftool changes this string, it does, in fact, append the "No GPS Time Stamp" keyword, but it is appending it to a blank string (since the prior keywords are stored in the Aperture metadata DB -- which exiftool isn't accessing -- rather than the original image files). Then Aperture sees the updated "Keywords" tag -- which now contains only "No GPS Time Stamp" -- and seems to replace its keyword list with the contents of this EXIF tag, rather than intelligently determining which changes were incremental and applying them.
Put another way, I think Aperture says "hey, the keywords field has been updated on this file. let me update my metadata DB to match -- which means overwriting the existing list 'PriorTag' with the string 'No GPS Time Stamp'." rather than saying "hey, this keywords field has been updated on this file. I notice it didn't use to have 'No GPS Time Stamp' included in its comma-separated list  and it does now, so let's append 'No GPS Time Stamp' to the list of keywords I have for this file in my metadata DB.")
For what it's worth, I saw the same behavior if I replace 'No GPS Time Stamp' in your command with ', No GPS Time Stamp'.
But I'm all set now; thanks again!!
    -Mike

  • E61 firmware 3.0633.09.04 timezone issue?

I have an e61 - when I updated to firmware 3.0633.09.04 I started having a new problem - all my outlook calendar appointments/meetings show up as 7 hours off on my phone.
So for instance, I have a lunch meeting today at 11:30 and it shows up on my phone as 6:30pm.
My phone is set to us/phoenix timezone, which is what it was set to before the firmware upgrade.
This may be part of the problem - if I check the phone timezone setting it shows as "GMT 0:00 Phoenix, AZ" which isn't right - Phoenix is GMT-7:00.
Has anyone else encountered this issue?

I had to wait for a long time to get the update, because the update software always said, that there is no update available for my E60. Now I got it(3.0633.09.04) and i wish I could go back to the old firmware, as blachberry service is not working anymore. The only workarround I found is to use the BB software for a different provider. I have a vodafone SIM, but the BB software for vodafone doe´sn´t work with 3.0633.09.04, now I´m using a BB software for "other" provider and it works - at least I get my mails again, the calender is not able to be synchronised.

  • Calendar timezone issues

I am currently having an issue with the calendar and timezones.  Back in September I imported in Outlook the schedule for a sports team that I follow.  Even though the team is in the Eastern timezone, Outlook adjusted the start and end times for my timezone, the Atlantic timezone (one hour ahead of Eastern).  I recently had to make a trip out West and through my carrier the times changed in my iPhone.  Low and behold so did the times in my calendar to match the timezone that I was in.  That's great, it all appears as though it is working as designed.  Upon my return however, even though the times and timezones changed, the entries in my calendar are still stuck in the Pacific timezone.  When I try to edit the entry, it shows the correct times.
As you can see below, the start time 16:30, which is correct if I were in the Pacific timezone, the image below that shows the calendar in Edit mode for that event and the times are correct based on the timezone where I live.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
I have tried removing the calendar from the iPhone, iTunes, and iCloud and resyncing it all.  It just seems that part of the calendar is still stuck in another timezone.

I just solved my own issue after reading the following article http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Google%20Mobile/thread?tid=3b08ce5d9930069 a&hl=en
I went into Settings | Mail, Contacts, Calendars | I scrolled down to Calendar and noticed that the Time Zone Support was still in Vancouver, even though the Time Zone Support was turned on.  I tapped on the Time Zone button and changed it to the city where I live.
    Done deal!

  • ACE30: Setting timezone issue

    Hi Guys,
This would seem trivial however I can't seem to set the appropriate timezone as indicated below:
Trying to set the timezone on our ACE30 modules (running A5(1.2):
    clay1-ace/Admin(config)# clock timezone AEST +10
                                                 ^
% invalid parameter detected at '^' marker.
    clay1-ace/Admin(config)# clock timezone AEST ?
      <-23-23>  Hours offset from UTC
I cannot use the "standard" word because the ACST time would leave us 30mins out.
    On our 3750 switches the following command just works;
    clock timezone AEST 10
    According to the Cisco documentation:
    clock timezone {zone_name{+ | -} hours
hours — Hours offset from UTC. The range is from -23 to +23.
However I can't seem to set the hours as "+10"?
    Thanks
    Sheldon

    Shel,
And did you try something like this:
    host1/Admin(config)# clock summer-time
    Pacific 1 Sun Apr 02:00 5 Sun Oct 02:00 60
Additionally, for Australia timezone we got, as per the documentation:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/services_modules/ace/vA5_1_0/configuration/administration/guide/basiccfg_module.html#wp1401732
    Australia
    1)CST
Central Standard Time, as UTC + 9.5 hours
    2)EST
Eastern Standard/Summer Time, as UTC + 10 hours (+11 hours during summer time)
    3)WST
Western Standard Time, as UTC + 8 hours

  • Timezone issue with Node manager

    Hi
We have a strange problem in our Weblogic manager server as below.
We started the manage server & Node manager in Jan 2011, when the daylight saving was on., then when time zone changed to winter time to summer time, node manager was unable to pick the time zone change.
It was still printing log files with wintertime in April 2011.
But after we restart the node manager & manage server, we found that then it has pick the summer time.
So want to know how to avoid such problems, that node manager & manage server should pick the current timezone (even when it change to summer to winter or vice versa) without restarting the servers.
Please can anyone guide me on this such strange problem & solution of it.
    regards,
    jay

    Hi
My OS is Linux box and is able to pick the time correctly, but nodemanager & manage server which are started before time zone change is not able to pick the timezone change and continue running with timezone where it has started and the same time OS (date command) shows that it is changed to summer time.
Do i need to specify any configuration for nodemanger & manage server for picking the time when time zone is changed.
    regards,
    Jay
