Hai,
we are developing stand alone application using java swing. In our application we need to show an image in JFrame. We draw an image in JPanel using JPanel's paintComponent method. Then we place this JPanel into JFrame. The image is having transparent effect. But we are not able to give transparency effect to JFrame so we couldn't see desktop we are seeing only JFrame's background. *{color:#0000ff}How to give transparency effect to JFrame?*

It's not a commited part of the standard API yet, but as of 1.6_10 you can add transparency effects to a window through the use of
com.sun.awt.AWTUtilitiesI think this was the original article on the release. If you google, you will find many creative ideas that people have come up with using this particular feature.

I am playing in a coverband (Day Out) and my brother made some really nice photo's of one of our live performances. Before I put the photo's on our website (http://www.dayoutcoverband.nl) I would like to give a nice effect to the photo's.
I just started using Photoshop and need some help:

I have seen this effect at the harvard business school site
and now trying to copy it for my site ...

The effect is on the main picture, at the right side of it;
where there are links of "Apply", "Financial Aid" ....
Now if you notice the backside of the links, it is the part
of the big picture but this part has been given a black shade
(Alpha shade).
How can I do that !!!
I did it through Alpha, but that is too light and this effect
is more dark.

As you can see:
Individual surfaces do interact transparently; even inside and outside surfaces of the same path.
Mapped Symbol is opaque and interacts correctly with the translucent surfaces. (Symbol can be made to assume transparency of the surface to which it's mapped by turning on Shade Artwork.)
Different transparency can be applied to separate paths within the same Revolved Group, and/or to individual Strokes and Fills of the same path. (Rendering aberations are likely, depending upon geometry.)
It is not necessary to expand, ungroup, etc., etc. (The Revolve object below is still completely live and rotateable.)
In other words, Opacity can be applied at the Appearance level or the object level, either before applying the 3D Effect or after.
Also, Draw Hidden Faces is turned off in the drawing below. (Faces are not hidden if they are visible through a translucent surface.)
Making something "look like glass" however, involves more than just applying Illustrator's 3D Effect to translucent paths (and can be rendered with or without 3D Effect; and with or without transparency effects). Convincing glass rendering is like convincing rendering of any other shiny surface: It involves judicious drawing of highlights and reflections, not just one-click, instant-gratification effects.

I suppose you cannot save the macros (written by you) in BexAnalyzer.xla as that is the standard interface provided. When you write some macros related with workbook and want it to be executed each time you refersh. You can do that by providing the macros name in execute macro on each refresh under Workbook properties tab in Bex design toolbar. or you can write that macros code under default workbook in VB editor under your VBA project related to your workbook.

How do I make an effect start stop and than start again?
I'm trying to blur faces (I finally figured out how to do that---copy the video to a 2nd layer and use the mosiac and crop effects) but how do I make the effect only appear when the face is in the screen as multiple times throughout the video clip the subjects face goes off camera. In the effect controls window it doesn't give me an option to add a blank keyframe.
Any advice on how to have this effect start/stop multiple times in one clip??
ThanksIf the effect isn't keyable, try keyframing the transparency of the copy with the effects on it.

What you have to do is write a custom tree cell renderer which extends DefaultTreeCellRenderer. In that class, your getTreeCellRenderer() method should do something like the following:

I wrote a java text editor. I creat a new internal frame and allows to open a document.
How to have an effect (an asterisk * follows the filename in title bar) once
the user starts editing the document? And once I save that file, that asterisk * will

If I'm not misunderstanding, I think you just need to loop through all Canvas.Children and set Opacity property for them:

How to give Username and password when calling HTTP page?
I have this code when i run this I get credentials error. How to give credentials .The authentication is set to windows in the https page. Means pop up will appear to get the credentials

Effect

If you specify wa TO , the new line is taken from the contents of the explicitly specified work area wa.
If you use INITIAL LINE TO, a line filled with the correct initial value for the type is added.
If the part before itab is omitted, the new line is taken from the header line of the internal table itab.
If you use the ASSIGNING <fs> addition, the field symbol, <wa>, points to the line you have just appended. If you use the REFERENCE INTO ref addition, the data reference, dref, is filled with the reference of the line you have just appended.
If the target table itab is a SORTED TABLE, it must be sorted correctly after the append, otherwise a runtime error results.
After the statement has been executed, the system field SY-TABIX is filled with the index of the last line in the table.
