TM is a PITA until you specify a drive to backup to

I use a macbook pro for 99% of my computer usage. Also, I use 8-10 external firewire and usb drives to augment its limited harddisk. Before I specified a specific drive for TM to use, it asked EVERY time when I mounted an external drive if I wanted to make it the OFFICIAL TM backup drive. If I cancelled on a drive, it still asked if I remounted the drive. A real PITA! Until TM has the bugs worked out AND it can restore a system from scratch (which I don't believe that it can at this point), I want it turned OFF and NOT bugging me. If anyone can give the defaults or other command(s), to turn it off, I will just stay mad at it for continually requesting from me something that I do not want! Sorry for the caps, but I am a little frustrated with it.

I figured out a way of getting rid of the message. I mounted a spare drive with a name that I would never use again. I told TM to use it as the back up disk. Then I turned TM off and used Disk Utility to erase the partition changing its name. Disk Utility would not let me repartition it, but does allow erasure. If you turn TM back on, it says that it is waiting for the original drive name to be connected. No need to leave it on though. You can always change this later by specifying TM to use a different drive. Anyway, it solved my problem for now. It is just a PITA when Apple could have provided a simple "don't prompt" option on the TM Preference Pane.

What a nightmare Firefox 4 have been. I have warned everyone else not to upgrade to this horrible browser. Which is sad, since I used to recommend it to everyone. How can I get the OS to return a list of printers to Photoshop when Photoshop requests a list.

i'm having few issues with PCNS hope you can help out,
so my Active directory Infrastrucutre is made out of a Root Domain "company.net" and lots of subdomains
"sub1.company.net", "sub2.company.net" ....
the FIM Server and service accounts are all in the Root domain and my users are in the subdomains as is the case usually...
i ran the setspn on the service account in the root domain then ran the pcnscfg on the subdomain DC where my users are stored...
i get the following warning :
The Service Principal Name you specified could not be found on any accounts in this domain. (which is normal since the service account is in the root domain)
did i do smthn wrong ? or can i ignore this warning ?

OK you know I read that somewhere and then totally forgot about it.
I know this isn't the place to ask but I've had limited success with asking eclipse questions on their forums.
Does anyone know how to export a jar file with the correct manifest from eclipse? My application works fine in eclipse but doesn't export a usable jar. To fix this I have to unjar the file, add the manifest text and rejar it.

While upgrading to CF7 from CF5, I am creating the new collections from Cf Admin. After creating, I indexed it from cf admin and then trying to search for the documents in that collection, and i am getting the following error. This was working yesterday. I have cheched the logs etc and nothing seems helpful in discovering what the issue is.
Document count is 11,745 and the size is 25,948 kb, which is not too much for a collection. I have tried to restart Cold Fusion Search Services and then ColdFusion Application services, but all in vain.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

So at last I figured this out myself and found a temporary resolution for this kind of problem. Majority of the times try creating the Collection through Cfcollection tag and then index it using cfindex tag, rather than performing these operations from the Cold Fusion 7 administrator.
The only reason I can think of which might have caused the issue is – I have thousands of documents in the collection which I indexed. So while indexing the page gets expired. So I tried again to index it. This time the collection got indexed fairly quickly and I got the response that the collection has been indexed successfully. So for the first time when I tried to index the collection, there might be some piece of code, which did not register the collection properly and hence giving this error.
When I did the same function using the code, with exactly same set of documents, it did not throw any error, even when I executed it for the first time. So the collection indexed properly.
I am not claiming that technically this theory is correct, but this seems to be the problem.
If someone knows technically what has happened at the back, please share it. For the time being, this is the fix – if you experience any problem in creating/indexing collections through cfadmin in CF7, do it thorough code.

Printing from PS CC worked fine today. I made no changes to preferences. In between working with 2 projects, the first one printed fine, the second gave me this Error Message.

Now I've checked for updates for my printer, reset my printer, reset PS CC preferences, picked my printer as Default and Last Used, and rebooted. I've followed all the recommended fixes for this issue I could find here and on the internet. I can print fine from any other program. Alas, the error message keeps popping up and I can't print.

After restart error message appears:

• All print commands are greyed out and unavailable — even to call up the printer commands cannot be done.
The printer printed fine until about 2 weeks ago when this error message appeared. Printing continues from Pages, I-photo, preview etc. — only Photoshop fails.
The printer has been turned on and off, as have open documents been closed and open etc.. Preferences reset. Repeatedly I have read through blogs and forums and attempted to contact Adobe — all without results
Epson support struggled to find reason and several solutions were tried and they assume this is an Adobe problem.
Running Mac Powerbook X 10.10.2 / Photoshop CS6 13.0.6.x64
Attempting unsuccessfully to print to Epson 3880

Troubleshooting suggestions:
Ensure the page you are linking to exists in the correct folder.
Check your file name for case sensitivity . Index.htm is not the same as index.htm!
Temporarily disable any rewrite rules by renaming your .htaccess file if it exists
is the problem with

One Apple tech started to fix Iweb and had to end session and the next said problem with hosting at Network Solutions as it published
to local folder. NWS has checked sttting a few times-

Please check your options and try again. and if i click on print button it is not working(i have set printmode=pdf)...when i was working on vs2008 both were working fine but in vs2010 it is not working..

What type of app you are using? A win app will not have this option. Also what FW are you using? Have you made changes to the viewer(after migrating) and ensure that you are using the 13.0.2000.0?
