TMS Scheduled Transport Import: selective by CTS Project

Due to restictions imposed on us we are stuck with a Landscape where Transport Requests for 2 seperate CTS Projects are being queued for the same QA Instance.
How can you schedule the automatic Import Job to only pick up Transport Requests from a particular Project? The other Project's requests will be Imported manually, though a second, selective, Job might be useful if possible.

Thanks All
FYI
SAP first suggested the following notes: 19466, 1150361, and to add a Startup profile parameter rfc/use_gwstart = 1. Which was only partially successful.
I guess it had more to do with RFC processes hanging than it did with the tp, which was fixed in a later kernel patch level.
I've upgraded the kernel to the latest (70000.181.0.0) and my problem was fixed.

  • CTS project and related transport request

When I create a new Project, I create also the CTS project in the development system. When the CTS project is created, also a related transport request is created. When I try to close the task list related to the project, it try to close the CTS project but I does not manage to release that transport request. How can i release the transport request related to the CTS project?
    Thanks
    Antonello

    Hey Antonello,
The release of Transport Request is controlled by something called as "Project status switches".
    Go to \n\tmwflow\proj tcode.
Go to the Tab " Project Status Switches", ensure that you select the Relevant\Correct Maintainance Proj..
When In the Project Status switch , there is something called " Transport Request can be released ", Transport request can be Imported " and so on.
Please click on Chaange on " Transport Request can be released", now TR can be released directly in R\3 without using Solman's CHARM.
Please reward if this post was usefull.
    Revert For any Clarifications.

  • In ECC 6.0, can I link a CTS project id to a transport target group?

In ECC 6.0, can I link a CTS project id to a specific transport target group?
I configured two IMG projects, namely, Phase1 and Phase2.  In SPRO, I tied them to CTS project ids, DEV_P00001 and DEV_P00002, respectively.  In STMS, I configured two transport target groups called /PHASE1/ and /PHASE2/ that I want to link with the corresponding project ids.  The intention is that Phase1 transports will go to the clients specified in the /PHASE1/ target group and that Phase2 transports will go to the clients specified in the /PHASE2/ target group
I want to link the CTS project ids to the respective transport target groups so that (e.g.) if a team member creates a transport in SE01/SE09/SE10 and chooses the DEV_P00001 project id from the Project dropdown, then /PHASE1/ will appear as the default transport target.  Likewise, if the team member instead chooses the CTS project id DEV_P00002, then /PHASE2/ will appear as the default transport target.
Right now, the user has to remember to choose the correct combination of CTS project id/transport target group.
Solution Manager is NOT involved in this scenario.
Does anyone know of a way to do this in ECC 6.0?

    Hi,
Try this it worked for me though,
    1. Goto SPRO_ADMIN
    2. Select the Project
    3. Choose Change
    4. Go To Transport Requests TAB
    5. Activate CTS Functionality
    6. Save it after the Pop Up
    7. Go to Se10 and check if the Project Field is getting Populated with the Desired Project or not.

  • How to track transporter of scheduled transport (TMS)?

Prior to audit requirement, basis has been asked by auditor to provide all the selected transport lists and the name of the transporters for each selected transports. The problem is,most of the transports have been done through TMS (Schedule) and transporter cannot be tracked using SE16 and tplog because for sheduled transport,TMS will be captured as a transporter. Anybody here can advise me on this?

    Hi Ali,
I strongly recommend to use the proper forum for this and your other request (How to track transporter of scheduled transport (TMS)?  )with the same question....
So please close these 2 threads and post it in Software Logistics
There the chance is better to get the required information...

  • SPRO: Activating CTS project

    Hi Gurus,
I was wondering if you could help us on this message during project activation in SPRO.
A project piece list has already been assigned to the project
    Message no. CTSPRJ013
    Diagnosis
You want to assign a corresponding CTS project object list to project GWAPO in project system SAP_IMG_PS in the current client. However, this object list has already been assigned to the project. The object list is called SID_P00006.
    System Response
    The function terminates.
    These are the background details.
    Before system refresh
    1.     Projects in SPRO were put in a single TR (transport)
    After the refresh
    1.     TR above were imported back
    2.     Checking SPRO, projects do exists as before
    3.     Problem: however, cannot select or no values found in Project field when creating a new TR?
    Any helpful information is appreciated.

    Hi Welmer,
I was hoping you did. Would've been easy to simply reactivate the project.
Could you please try "Delete Project Assignment" to one of your TRs under "Assigned CTS requests" on your existing project. This would confirm if the project is indeed assigned to the TRs and thereby your piece list.
    Will search further.

  • I imported a COMPLETED book project into Aperture 3, only to discover that  the resolution of all the photos has been reduced to totally unacceptable levels

I imported a COMPLETED book project into Aperture 3, only to discover that  the resolution of all the photos has been reduced to totally unacceptable levels.  Any easy solution?
    Steps:
    1. I finished an Aperture 2 (Two) book project and tried to submit it to Apple for printing. At that point I learned (belatedly, obviously) that Apple no longer accepts books from Aperture 2. I don't know how I would have known to even ask if Aperture 2 had been sunsetted as far as book projects go.
    2. So I tried to download Aperture 3 ($79.99), only to be told that I couldn't download Aperture 3.5.1 because I was still running OSX 10.8.x. So I read current reviews for OSX 10.9.x, and ...
    3. Downloaded and installed the current operating system (about a 3-hours process for me).  OSX 10.9.2, here we are!
    4. Then I returned to the Apple Store, found, and purchased Aperture 3.  [For safety's sake, it would sure be nice to have a .dmg file I could copy and file away.  I lost a perfectly legal and good copy of Adobe's Photoshop Elements 3 years ago because I wasn't smart enough to make a safety copy, and when my iMac crashed (fried electronic components), I was left with a copy of the software that wouldn't run, and couldn't be verified as legit.]
    5. When Aperture 3 finished installing, I found and imported my COMPLETED Aperture 2 book project, which import seemed to proceed nominally -- the right number of pages, the right content on those pages, that sort of thing -- until I started looking more carefully at the pictures themselves.  All of them, about 300 of them, have been imported into an Aperture 3 book project in such a reduced resolution that they are fuzzy at the size the book will be printed.  Screen-capture of just one example (at 100% viewer setting):
I don't know what to do at this point to correct the problem, short of going through the entire book project, copy the custom captions (since those go away when you "delete" photo content), delete the photo, re-insert the photo, and paste back the custom caption.  Lather, rinse, repeat - ~300 times!  An estimated 2-3 hours of additional work.
Or does anyone in this community know either (1) that I did something wrong in the Aperture 2-to-Aperture 3 import (I don't recall being offered any options or choices in the process); or (2) that there is a wholesale one-step solution to my problem?
BTW, I tried to edit my "Product" info, but OSX 10.9.x is not in the pick list.  I am running OSX 10.9.2
    <Re-Titled By Host>

Frank, thanks for your note.  I wrote "COMPLETED" because I had gone to a lot of effort to get the content of the book precisely as I wanted it. I would fully expect to see my level of effort and care matched by functional competence in Aperture 3 to render the book the way I created it.  Too much to ask?
And yes, I upgraded the Aperture 2 Library first.  [Not ALL my tens of 000s of pix, because I use Lightroom selectively for photo editing. But Yes to the Aperture 2 Library.]  That step took a number of minutes, but seemed to work fine (no error messages of any kind).
Then I opened the existing book project in Aperture 3, which followed some "magic-box" process that took a minute or so.  As I said, when that step was done, by all appearances the book was ready to submit for printing - until I examined the photos a little more closely.  You did see the blurry example I included, didn't you? That is what each and every photo looks like.
Text-box content appears to have been rendered pertectly, for the record (including captions).
So, ... is this result something you have heard of before?  Do you know of a one-step solution?  Or am I looking at an extended picture-by-picture fix?

  • How to schedule multiple imports in one time?

    Hi all,
I've got a simple question, which hopefully has a simple answer
Is it possible in the task list (trx SCMA) to schedule imports for all attached logical systems to that maintenance cycle in 1 time, in stead of scheduling imports for each logical system separately?
We've got 10 logical systems in 1 maintenance cycle.  And the imports have to be scheduled on the same timings for all of these systems, so eg. from today untill the 14th of June we want a daily import in all attached logical systems of that maintenance cycle.
Is this possible to do this in 1 action?
    kind regards,
    David

    No Roel,
I think I took the wrong term.  We have several logical system landscapes in 1 maintenance cycle.
    For instance:
    Maintenance cycle 1 contains:
      landscape R3
         DEV
         QAS
         PRD
      landscpae BW
         BD0
         BA0
         BP0
      landscape SRM
         ED0
         EA0
         EP0
If I want to schedule an import job to import all transports of maintenance cycle 1 in all systems, I have in the above example to schedule 3 jobs. (1 in PRD, 1 in BP0 and 1 in EP0)
The question is whether I can do this by 1 action. Schedule the import of all PRD systems on the maintenance level in stead of the landscape levels separately.
    kind regards,
    David

  • I want to import one imovie project into another one.  In other words, I have created a short sequence in iMovie 11 on one computer, and I want to import it into a project that I am working on, on another computer.

I want to import one imovie project into another one.  In other words, I have created a short sequence in iMovie 11 on one computer, and I want to import it into a project that I am working on, on another computer.  I copied the project files onto a hard drive, and then connected that drive to the Mac that my main project is on, but when I select "import" the files are faint gray -meaning I can't select them.  Help!  I want to transfer a sequence of shots from one iMovie 11 project on one computer, into another iMovie 11 project on another computer.

    Tell me it ain't so!
I wish I could.  The research you've done is correct.
Wether you copy and paste or rebuild the Project from the other computer, you're going to need to get your Evnets copied from the other computer.
The Prjoject files only contain pointer back to the original media.

  • CTS Project in System Landscape

    Hi,
for chaRM,i want to clarrify about CTS project creation.
    1. Whether CTS & IMG Project Should Exist in all satellite system ?
    2. How to create a IMG & CTS Project.? In tx Solar_project_admin we can able to create the IMG project for all roles (DEV,QT,PRD)in  the Satellite system .
or else should we create the IMG project in only developement and rest of the satellite system can be transport the request ???

In Solar_Project_Admin you can create an IMG Project on the development system for the Maintenance Project.  You can assign an existing project, but the Create button under the IMG Projects tab will create on for you.
I believe the CTS project will be automatically created when you activate the Maintenance Cycle for the Maintenance Project.
You can use the /TMWFLOW/PROJ transaction under the Project Structure tab to see the IMG and CTS Projects for you Maintenance Project.

  • Import from Excel to Project - blanks cells are having dates automatically added

Hi. I'm very new to Project but have started setting up a Roadmap using it which is working fairly well so far, although have hit one snag.
I have data in Excel: it is a list of projects with 4 columns containing the dates of various stages (planning, initiate, execute, close). I have created a reusable map so this can be imported into Project and the Gantt chart to show pre-defined markers
on the timeline for each stage on each project row. All well and good so far.
However, not all of the projects in Excel have all of their dates defined. E.g. a project might not yet have a close date. But when this is imported into Project a date gets applied for it. I have no idea why!
How do i get the import into Project to allow any blank cells from Excel to remain as blank so that nothing is plotted on the Gantt chart for that particular section?

Thanks for both of your replies. I have tried this and the same issue occurs. I have checked each row in the imported Project data and they are all showing as set to 'manually selected' yet at some point in the import Project is adding data to blank cells.
I have retried using a simple test excel sheet and when this too is mapped into Project, any blank cells get populated with the date that appeared in the preceding row for some reason:
I can then go through and manually delete this cell in Project (which then replaces it with an "NA") - but if i have to manually do this whenever importing from Excel into Project then it makes it very time consuming.
Surely there must be a way for Project to not auto-populate blank cells? Or am i missing something fundamental?

  • Delete CTS Projects not linked to IMG projects anymore?

    Hello all,
I have a few CTS Projects in my Solution Manager system that I am not able to delete because the corresponding IMG projects have already been deleted.  I know these CTS projects exist still, because they are all listed in the "Project" drop-down list in the Transport Organizer Web UI.
Any insights on how to do this?
    Thanks,
    Michele

    hi,
I havent really worked upon this, but has the IMG project been delinked from SOLMAN Project list? Or has it been deleted altogether from the satellite system? Probably you can try and check in the dev system and if it still exists there, then delete the CTS project.

  • Why is aperture not importing merged libraries as projects

    Hi Everyone:
I'm trying to move a large library of RAW files to another library on the same machine.  I tried exporting the whole library but there were a lot of corrupted files (or at least they had the yellow triangles on them), and when I selected all and asked it to locate referenced files, it said there were none, even though it had over 1000.
So I decided to export/import piecemeal and do it project by project.  So what I've been doing is exporting a project as a library, switching libraries, and selecting a project to import to and then clicking import.  At first it was working well and importing everything as separate projects, but today I must be doing something wrong or missing a step.
It is now importing the library and dumping it loose in the photos section, and I have to go picking through the photos to find the ones I imported and put them into projects.  This is going to get increasingly more difficult and I really need help... I've been at this now for two days and need to get back out taking pictures...
    Thanks,
    Lisa

    Hi everyone:
Just to add, I already followed these steps and it didn't work...
To merge a project or Aperture library into a project
Control-click a project, then choose Import > Library/Project from the shortcut menu.
In the dialog that appears, select the project or library that you want to merge into the project selected in Projects view, then click Import.
The project or library is merged into the project selected in Projects view. For more information about merging libraries, see Merging Libraries.

  • Selecting a FCP Project to Export Mix To ....

    HI
When Exporting a STP Mutlitrack Mix Back to FCP (File/Export/ Master Mix with Send to FCP picked) FCP Launches and a Dialog Opens with a "Destination" drop down. Am I meant to be able to see / navigate to a FCP Project File from here? Seems like a should be able to, but all I get is an option to Create New Project... not what I want.
Sure, if FCP is already open with the correct Project the Destination box shows the project and the Export proceeds. Or If I cancel the whole thing and Import the XML document into the FCP after opening the Destination Project , my mix ends up in the right place.
But what's the point of the "Destination" fileld if it doesn't allow me to set one?
    What am I missing here?
    Thanks
    Lee
    BTW : STP 3.01, FCP 7.0.3

The destination dialog is where you save the mix file and xml file to disc. You will select which FCP >project to open it in once FCP opens.
Yes ... you are right. It's the Dialog in FCP I'm talking about ... STP doesn't remember the Project it came from on the return trip unless FCP has it open already. I guess technically it's an FCP issue (?) since that Dialog doesn't appear until FCP launches.... but I think STP should know what thew project file was called... and the Project Destination field be able to navigate to it.
Workflow that's all. There's workarounds, but I wanted to ensure I wasn't missing anything.

  • Importing FCE 2.03 PROJECT into FCP HD 4.5

    Hi All.
I have a small project edited in Final Cut Express on my laptop. I wish to import it onto my new shiney G5 DUAL on which I have FCP HD 4.5. I am not using the HD selection, the FCE project is just standard digital imported files.
Can any kind soul offer any guidance.
Happy Easter to you all from sunny Ireland.

  • Importing an iMovie 09' project in AIC codec and reconform in FCP 7?

So here's the issue I would like advice on...
I have a shortform project that is partially built in iMovie 09'. The camera footage was AVCHD (from the Panasonic AG-HMC40) and was 1080p at 24 fps. It was imported into iMovie which of course converted it to the Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC)...a good codec but not as good as Apple's Pro Res HQ.
Let's say I want to continue with this project in FCP 7 but be using the Pro Res HQ codec instead of AIC.
Here are the steps I think I would take (please correct me if I'm wrong about this)
    1. In iMovie 09' export an XML file to Final Cut.
    2. Open that XML file in Final Cut Pro 7. I assume that edits will carry over and that the timeline will be configured for Apple Intermediate Codec in its sequence settings.
    3. I select everything in the timeline and copy all.
    4. I cut and paste into a new sequence. The sequence is still AIC but I go into the sequence settings and change it to Pro Res HQ. I do not want to render this yet.
    5. I go into the bins window of FCP and I delink the footage which then takes what was my copy of the AIC footage in the timeline offline.
    6. Using FCP's log and transfer, I reimport all my raw camera footage as Pro Res HQ. I import that into my project.
    7. Using FCP's relink footage command (???) I relink my edited footage to the new Pro Res version. No rendering should be necessary and it should play in the timeline preserving my initial edits done in iMovie. I can continue editing and building the project...with everything now in Pro Res.
Is this the proper way to do it? Or is there a shorter method? I want to preserve the edits from iMovie but I don't want to render AIC footage into Pro Res because of the potential loss. I want to relink to all new Pro Res footage.
Any comments you can share would be very helpful.
    Thanks,
    John

What is the eventual output? DVD? If so, I wouldn't bother.
fwiw - ProResHQ is a waste for AVCHD footage. ProRes HQ is intended as an intermediate for film, 4k and 2k material. ProRes LT was designed for AVCHD and HDV material.
