  • Vendor Invoice w/ different exchange rate on taxable amount and tax amount

    Hi Experts,
I have an issue with regarding the Vendor Invoice with Foreign Currency. Normally we use JPY as our base currency and system exchange rate for out Vendor Invoices. But there was an audit issue pointing out that the Original Vendor Invoice is not tallied with the SAP Invoice as the tax amount is not the same. The problem is the Original Invoice has the Vendor Exchange Rate and it is not the same with the system rate that we use. Auditor tells us that we should use the Vendor Exchange Rate for Tax Amount and use the System Exchange Rate for the Taxable Amount. Is this possible? Can we use 2 Exchange Rates in a single Invoice Document one for the taxable amount and one for the tax amount? How can we possibly do this? Or any workaround?
Thanks a lot for the information!

I think its a bit misleading...The requirement is to post an Invoice with a base taxable amount of  Exchange Rate A and a tax amount of Exchange Rate B. The Base Currency is JPY and the System Currency is SGD. So the Report S_ALR_87012357 should see the amount in SGD there. The Issue is caused by the different exchange rate on the tax amount submitted by the Vendor Invoice.
Example: Vendor Invoice Amount: 926,413.00 JPY, then we created PO to Invoice with Base Currency JPYalso amounted 926,413.00 JPY. However, in the Vendor Invoice Amount, the Tax Chargeable is 923.00 SGD (based on their exchange rate 65.66 JPY per SGD). But our Exchange Rate (System Rate) is 63.49 JPY per SGD. How can we reflect the Tax Amount as 65.66 JPY but still the correct SGD amount is based on the Vendor Original Invoice Exchange Rate 65.66 and not the System Exchange Rate, 63.49 in the same Invoice Creation (MIRO)?

  • IV to post with Tax amount more than base amount

    Hi Gurus,
One of our user want to post Invoice, with Tax amount more than Net value of goods.
Net amount of goods is 31.45 NZD, where as Tax amount is 99.43NZD.
Tax code assigned to PO is with 12.5%.
System is not allowing to post tax amount more than 12.5% of base, as tax code is assigned.
Kindly let me know, how we can post IV with more tax amount.
    Thanks In advance

    Hello
I dont know if tax code is assigned for 12.5 then why does he wanat to post more tax. its not correct.
then also for reason u wnat to post then for posting that invoice go to FTXP and change the tax % in such a way that tax amount will match ur requirement
may be 316%  so that the sustem while doing invoice willtake thie % and calculate tax
then again change the tax code % to 12.5
    or
IN miro only u have a GL tab, i n that GL tab u can add tax gl account and add the tax amount so that it will come what u want .
if gl tab is not comming then active it in
spro--mm --logistic invioice ver incoming invoiceActivate Direct Posting to G/L Accounts and Material Account
    hope this helps

  • Example query for po headers total amount(including tax amount) from po_headers_all table in  r12

    HI
there is no such column like po_amount in po_headers_all table then how can i get po total amount(including tax amount) from po_headers_all table  or else tell me how to get data from views  in R12
As we are using sql developer tool to build queries in our project
    With regards
    siva

PO line total is not included the tax, to View the tax amount (N) Action-> manage tax
    1) You have to sum up the lines to get the PO total,
      select ph.segment1 po_num, sum ( (pl.unit_price * pl.quantity)) price
        from po_lines_all pl, po_headers_all ph
       where     pl.po_header_id = ph.po_header_id
and ph.type_lookup_code in ('STANDARD', 'BLANKET')   --Add as per your requirement
    --          and ph.segment1 = '2017'
--          and ph.org_id = 7852        --Use when you have multiple OU
    group by ph.segment1
    2) To get the tax
    SELECT *
        FROM (  SELECT lines.line_num line_number,
                       lines.item_description line_description,
                       dist.distribution_num dist_number,
                       dist.code_combination_id dist_code_combination_id,
                       NVL (dist.nonrecoverable_tax, 0) nonrecoverable_tax,
                       NVL (dist.recoverable_tax, 0) recoverable_tax,
                         NVL (dist.nonrecoverable_tax, 0)
                       + NVL (dist.recoverable_tax, 0)
                          total_tax,
                       (NVL (dist.req_line_quantity, 0) * NVL (lines.unit_price, 0))
                          amount,
                       dist.org_id,
                       dist.DISTRIBUTION_ID
                  FROM po_requisition_lines_all lines, po_req_distributions_all dist
                 WHERE     lines.requisition_line_id = dist.requisition_line_id
                       AND NVL (lines.cancel_flag, 'N') <> 'Y'
                       AND NVL (lines.modified_by_agent_flag, 'N') = 'N'
    --                   AND lines.requisition_header_id = :1
              ORDER BY lines.line_num, dist.distribution_num) QRSLT
    ORDER BY LINE_NUMBER, DIST_NUMBER
Join the po_distributions_all, po_lines_all & po_headers_all tables to get the specific value.

  • Invoice non deductible tax amount vs Purchase order

In the purchase order the tax amount is calculated item by item (ME21N). In the invoice (MIRO) when we select flag “Calculate tax” the system calculates the tax amount for the total of all the items. Because of this system behaviour in the invoice verification sometimes we obtain small differences.
These differences should not exist specially when we are using a non deductible tax that affects the material valuation with the goods receipt and has to be corrected in the moment of the invoice verification.
Why does the system have a different behaviour from the purchase order to the invoice?
    What can be done?
    Best regards

    Dear Biju K
Whatever you mentioned about condition NAVS is there in system.
I am not adding tax code in PO, referring your earlier email I am asking that.
For adding other element I have not asked anything here, only to clarify your statement
You need to cross check why non-deductible tax amount needed in your PO with NAVS condition type and its purpose.
    I explained this.
My question is simple that in one PO I am getting non-deductible tax but if I change vendor for the same material I am not getting non-deductible tax in condition tab ? I am not able to understand why its happened ? If one PO shows means there are chances that basic configuration is correct but may be somewhere something is wrong, I want to find out that.  If you can throw some light on that its helpful for me.
    regards

  • Erroe with Tax amount conversion during PO creation

    Hi,
I am getting the following error while PO creation. I have already searched for existing threads and have also maintained entry in OB08 but the error still exists.
*Enter rate EUR / INR rate type  for 20.01.2012 in the system settings
    Message no. SG105
    Diagnosis
For the conversion of an amount into another currency, an entry is missing in the currency conversion table.
    Procedure
Add the missing entry in the currency conversion table.
    Execute function
You can then continue to process the commercial transaction.*
I have two concerns here:  1. the error is not showing any exchange rate type, and   2. at header level of PO it is by default picking some conversion rate which is not maintained in ob08.
    Thanking in anticiaption.
    Regards,
    Nikhil

    Dear,
    Are you creating PO for Imports? if yes then please check the following;
SPRO>IMG>Logistics General>Tax on Goods Movement>India>Basic Settings>Maintain Company Code Settings...please check what is the exchange rate type for CVD is maintained. If it is different from "M" then please maintain the tax rate for this exchange rate type...
    Hope this helps!!

  • Intercompany AR Invoices Printing with No Amount/Description

    Greetings,
I'm currently having an issue with Intercompany invoicing. The process is working fine and the accounting is correct, however, when the invoices print all they show is the date and invoice number... The rest is a blank document with no description of the line items.
On our other Intercompany invoices it shows everything and lists Intercompany ar in the description of each line item. I'm only having this issue with one of the Orgs but I can't find anything in the interco setup or customer setup that could be causing this.
Does anyone have any idea as to what this issue could be? I'm on the functional side.
    Thank you!

    Hi,
i assume that you are using a CUSTOM REPORT for printing the Invoices generated by the system .. and this custom report should pick up relevant data based on the Invoice number ....
If above is the case, chances are more likely due to a validation that might have been placed in the custom report .. which is to pick invoices pertaining to particular operating unit and not for others ...
    ELSE,
if the custom report picks up operating unit automatically based on the responsibility you use for running the report ... try running the report using different responsibilities and see the output ...
(Also do not use the copy option while submitting the concurrent program, re-enter the parameters afresh ..)

  • XML Invoice - help with Tax Summary

I've been tasked to modify an already modded XML Invoice using XMLP. I need to add a Tax Summary block at the bottom, showing the breakout of the tax codes and amounts charged on the invoice.
I've played around with it, but so far I can only get the first tax line to show up. I can't get the others. I need to insert a conditional, but I don't know how or where.
Has anyone run into anything like this before?
This probably isn't the best problem summary... but if you could help I'd appreciate it!

    Hi,
It sounds like you need to use a for-each to show each of your tax lines. If you do not have the for-each XMLP will only show the first tax line that is hits in the XML Output.
Would suggest that you take a quick look at the XMLP User Guide documentation for more information on how to use for-each.
Let me know if this does not solve your problem, or if you are still struggling.

    Hello.
If this is different to the behavior of the B1 application it should be considered a bug - like any such difference between DI API and app.

  • Disable auto-calculation of tax amount by Autoinvoices to import AR Invoice

    Hi all,
I am using ra_interface_lines_all to do AR Invoices conversion to Oracle R12. My legacy invoices data contains tax amount and some of the invoices do not have any tax. Autoinvoice auto-calculated tax information during import even for those invoices that have no tax.
I checked my AR interface record and made sure none of the tax-related columns (e.g. tax_code, tax_amount, etc) are populated. I also checked the AR transaction source for conversion and make sure tax-calculation flag is not set.
Basically I need to set the tax amounts manually instead of letting the system to derive it. Some suggested to set tax_exempt_flag to "E". I tried but Autoinvoice complained that I need to have tax reason and besides I have many invoices that have tax amounts.
Any suggestions on disable the auto-calculation of tax?
    Thanks! Mike

    Hi Mike,
U r using transaction types to generate your distributions, right?
Try to insert distribution info for each of your invoices in the table ra_interface_distributions_all, specifying REC, REV and TAX (tax where applicable) lines.
Hope this will solve your prob.

  • Withholding tax amount in fbl1n report

    hi,
In  FBL1N report When the posting is coming from FB60 or manual invoice, the withholding tax amount will appear in the column but when the posting came from MIRO, withholding tax amount figures appear as zero values even there is a posting in the withholding tax account.

    Hi,
    Refer
SAP Note 363309 - Extended withholding tax with line item display.

  • Why net discount base is amount included tax in t-code F-53 but not in FBZ2

    dear all expert SAP consultant
i am here need your help..i have case where the discount amount in F-53 is different with FBZ2. but all the configuration and amount in the both transaction are the same even the currency. for the detail here is scenario. hope you can help me solve this problem.
i set the configuration for discount base amount is net procedure. where it means that the discount amount is taken from invoice amount not included tax. e.g. invoice amount 909, tax amount 10% =91, and total to be paid before tax is 1000. if the discount is 10%, therefore its amount should be 91 too. but when i run the transaction (f-53) the discount is 10 not 91.so the base amount for discount 10 is 1000(total to be paid where is included tax) not 909( not included tax).
just a note : this configuration takes a right effect if you do the transaction in fbz2(outgoing payment with PO). why this configuration doesn't take effect in transaction outgoing payment without PO (f-53).
    i really hope your help.
anyone who can help me is so appreciated.
    warm regard
    land lord

thank a lot chandra..but the discount is still taken from amount included tax. eventhough i have set discount base amount is net procedure. where the discount amount should be taken from amount exclude tax.
but thank you for your help...

  • Tax amount is coming in GR/IR ACCOUNT

    Hi,
I am facing one problem  in PO base price is 500,  i am using 10% service tax code in PO it is showing proper base amount and tax amount separately,  but when we make the GR  so for GR/IR accunt it is posting amount as 550  insted of only 500 as tax amount is posted seperately.
    regards,
    zafar

    Hi,
Check your tax prcedure & see service tax condition type must be assigned with accounting key NVV, so that it is adding to material/Service account as debited as 550 & then crediting to GR/IR 550. Just change that  accounting key in service tax condition type , so that it will post to separate account
& You can have accounting entry in MIGO as
    Material/Service Account :500(Dr)
    GR/IR  Account: 500(Cr)
& accounting entry in MIRO posting:
    Vendor Account: 550(Cr)
    GR/IR  Account: 500(Dr)
    Service Tax: 50(Dr)
