To capture/format the RAW DETERMINISTIC output variable

Hello Gurus,
I am new to this forum but just have few questions:
I have a procedure 'proc_encrypt_data'. This procedure accepts a varchar2 variable and returns a RAW deterministic variable as output. I have tried to typecast it or change the value to varchar2 but I am not able to capture the same in JAVA in a String variable?
The code method snippet is below:
public static void callfunction()
try
CallableStatement cstmt;
cstmt = con.prepareCall("{call proc_encrypt_data(?,?)}");
cstmt.setString(1,"abcd");
cstmt.setString(2,"efgh");
cstmt.executeQuery();
String str=cstmt.getString(2);
System.out.println(str);
} catch (SQLException ex) {
System.err.println("SQLException:" +ex.getMessage());
The procedure is as shown below:
PROCEDURE proc_encrypt_data( p_data IN VARCHAR2, p_encrypted_data OUT VARCHAR2 ) IS
l_data RAW(2048) := utl_raw.cast_to_raw(p_data);
l_encrypted RAW(2048);
BEGIN
l_encrypted := dbms_crypto.encrypt ( -- Algorithm
src => l_data,
typ => DBMS_CRYPTO.DES_CBC_PKCS5,
key => V_KEY );
p_encrypted_data := utl_raw.cast_to_varchar2(l_encrypted);
END proc_encrypt_data;
Am I calling the function correctly?
how can I capture the returrn variable?
or do I need to do something at SQL end to change the procedure and return some ASCII converted value?
I am using the standard way to call a procedure and capture a return variable but it's not helping me. Somebody please guide. It's urgent POC need.
Thanks!

Also, the error that shows up is:
SQLException:ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
PLS-00201: identifier 'PROC_ENCRYPT_DATA' must be declared
ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:

  • Can the individual form response be sent via e-mail to us in the PDF form format (not the raw output we see currently when using e-mail notifcation) each time a user submits a reponse?

    Hi, we basically have an on-line job application that we need to be sent to us via e-mail notification every time a user submits a response, not with the raw data output from the form fields like the current e-mail notification setting allows, but as an actual PDF attachment that mirrors the format of the on-line form, with the user response data in it. We need this to be automated and sent to a central HR e-mail to distro to others. It would be essentially the same thing as a user downloading a PDF form, filling it out, then e-mailing it back to us, but using the submit options via the Form Central server instead. Is this even possible and, if so, is there any documentation on it? I have not found anything clear in searching for this same topic.

    No this is not possible within Formscentral. You could export a PDF without a submit button (an option when saving your form as PDF) and then in Acrobat add a submit button to your form and have it automatically sent to the email of your choice. This kind of workflow falls outside the scope of Formscentral.

  • Capturing all the text that I output to the console

    HOw do I capture all the text I output to the console to a file. I know how to open filebuffers and all that, well I don't really know, but I have some sample code that I can follow. I am just wondering if I am suppose to just open the file buffer, then run my normal application with all the system.out.println() statements and then have that fed to a file? Right now I am using a lot of println() statements to debug, and I would like to be able to push it into a file so I can look at it later, without having that console line limitation.
    My guess is to just open up a filestream and have it open and then run my normal code and then close the filestream at the end. Can somebody let me know if that is good enough...
    let say I have a static method hat outputs a bunch of text, can I do this
    filestream open
    static method run
    filestream close
    and that's it.

    I could see why you'd want to automatically
    route output to a file, that normally would
    go to the console. There might be use for
    capturing output lines.
    If the question is to avoid having to specify
    the output on the command line, then what
    one can do is to create a ".bat" file.
    Ex.
    kstring.bat
    ======================================
    @java kstring > kstring.out
    Now in executing, you'd just ==> kstring
    Which will execute the kstring.bat,
    and since "> kstring.out " is inside
    the "bat", your output goes to the
    kstring.out, instead of the console.
    This would be another way, saves all the
    redirection in Java code. Just use the
    DOS command inside a xxx.bat file.
    Just my opinion, may not work in your
    circumstance.

  • Cannot change capture format CS4!!!!!

    Hi all,
    This is incredibly frustrating.  I have a Sony HC1 and have decided to trial Premiere CS4 before deciding to buy the full version as I have been using Final Cut for years.  The problem I face is that I cannot even capture any footage.  I have been reading for hours about making sure the i.link conv is off, which I have done.  I also understand the HDV is not an option in the trial.  I have my camera set on DV, but when I atttempt to try and change the capture format, the ONLY option I have is OuickTime (see image).  I have tried everything to get this setting to change to DV so I can move to the next step of solving the problem!
    Anyone shed any light? Thanks!!!!
    tristan

    The best advice I can offer is to follow the Help guidelines here:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/PremierePro/4.0/WS3AD1B705-E907-48cf-B4B8-4E84F9605128.html
    Then try to capture.  What happens?

  • Formatting the output

    Hi everyone in the forum,
    I do not know if i should post this question here, but i think is the best place. Sorry if i were wrong.
    just a question because i have no idea how to format the output i need.
    I have a REAL or FLOAT and the output restrictions shows that it should be:
    1.0000 D-08 if the value is less than 1
    1.0000 if the value is [1,9]
    1.0000 D+03 is value bigger than 9
    and the other problem is whith other variable (type String) which represents integers, e.g, 0.000000 1.0000000 2.000000; and i have to return only 0 1 2 .
    Any suggestion about how to format the output?
    Thanks

    iMac with 3TB drive and 32 GIG of RAM. Three DROBO storage systems for data and backup.

    Try the alternatives, or wait for reports by the users who already migrated. For example, Capture One is more similar to Aperture than Lightroom:
    http://www.cnet.com/news/phase-ones-updated-image-editor-throws-apple-aperture-u sers-a-lifeline/
    http://www.photographybay.com/2014/10/01/capture-one-pro-8-unveiled-features-app le-aperture-migrate-option/
    I'll keep my main libraries in Aperture, as long as it compatible with the operating system.  If that no longer works, I'll start a new main library with digikam. If there is no native Mac application, that offers what I need for my workflow, I'll switch back to open source software.

  • Unable setting the video capture formats

    I have a Trident Capture Device and I registered in windows this camera with jmregister.exe and I only got one format (NTSC mode) UYVY 720x576, frame rate=15. But the camera has two operation modes, NTSC, PAL with different resolutions in each operation mode, and I would like to get all possible formats for this camera using JAVA but I don´t know how to do this with JMF. Another information that maybe helps is that in the windows camera software runs well and I can configure the camera in many formats.
    Can someone give me any clues to solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance

    Keep in mind that JMF is several years old, and most of the capturing capabilities of it were only tested in Windows 9x, so behavior with newer cameras and formats is pretty touch and go.
    I would like to get all possible formats for this camera using JAVA but I don´t know how to do this with JMF. You're not going to get anything from the camera using Java. JMF (or any other Java API, for that matter) will only take what the VFW API will hand it, and it can accept. Either JMF doesn't support the other formats, VFW doesn't support the other formats, or like you suggest, you have a device driver issue.
    Another information that maybe helps is that in the windows camera software runs well and I can configure the camera in many formats.Windows camera software may be running DirecShow, whereas JMF is running VFWs. Who knows... All this really suggests is that the box isn't lying about the formats that can be output by the camera.

    Vipin,
    U will have to use OLE methods to format your MS-WORD output.
    Check the tcode  DWDM for sample code
    Also check out the threads:
    Get WORD Options with OLE

  • Defining xsd and assiging an array to the output variable in a BPELprocess

    I have created a BPEL application in which a web service has been invoked which returns an array.If the array has a fixed size i am able to define the XSD,but what if the array does not have a fixed size.How should i define the xsd in this case,i mean how should the output node be defined.Also how can i assign the array returned by the webservice to the Output variable using the assign activity.

    Hi,
    What you could do is set the second step to loop.
    Then use as one of the parameters to VI YY the string array using RunState.LoopIndex as the array index.
    eg. Locals.MyStringArray[RunState.LoopIndex]
    Hope this helps

  • I need help! when I am importing my NEF files from my D3300 camera into lightroom 5 and try to use the "copy as DNG" button I always get an error message saying that "saying the file is not recognized by the raw format support"

    I need help! when I am importing my NEF Raw files from my D3300 camera into lightroom 5 and try to use the "copy as DNG" button I always get an error message saying that "saying the file is not recognized by the raw format support". The whole purpose of that button is so that the file can be recognized... How can I make the "copy as DNG" button work as it is supposed too?? Thank you

    Thank you for responding. So I essentially will never be able to use that button in lightroom 5? do I need to get LR 6? Will there ever be an update for LR 5 that will enable me to use it?
    Does DNG Converter work within LR or do I have to upload pictures to my computer and then make a second copy in DNG format. and then go into LR and use them?
    Thank you @dj_paige

  • How do I change the default iPhone screen capture format to .jpg? I have an iPhone 5.

    How do I change the default iPhone screen capture format to .jpg?
    I have an iPhone 5 (but I'm sure users with other models would like to do this as well).
    My online searches have not found an answer -- I did find a discussion thread that was essentially, "Why would you want to do that?" Those posts are not welcome! Not looking for a work-around, an intermediate step, or the need to change the file format on a computer, etc. Just want to hit the two buttons and have the resulting capture be a JPEG file.
    Not interested in jailbreaking or using apps that require jailbreak -- Want to do this with a new phone.
    Thank you in advance for any help!!
    --tim

    You can't.

  • A problem occurs when saving in the Raw format.

    I just started photographing using the Raw format.  When I edit a picture and then save it in Photoshop CS5, the file appears blacked out but when I click on the file, the picture comes up perfectly in CS5.  Does anyone know why this happens and how do I correct it?  This effect does not happen when I save a picture in the jpeg format.
    gobruins44

    I think it depends on how you read the OP's post. It could also mean that he started using RAW from the camera, when he saves the file using the default format (psd) that there is no thumbnail in explorer. But when saved as a jpg there is.
    I deduced that from the statement:
    "the file appears blacked out but when I click on the file, the picture comes up perfectly in CS5."

  • How can I copy pics back to the RAW format after loading in iPhoto?

    I downloaded pictures in the RAW format with no problem. Afterwards, I deleted them from my memory stick and am now trying to copy them to a jump drive in their original RAW format, but iPhoto converts them to JPEG. How can I get them back to the RAW format when copying to an external source?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
    Select the pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and set the Kind to Original.
    Iphoto does not convert the files to JPEG. Your RAW is protected. What happens is that iPhoto makes a JPEG preview of the file. IF you drag from the iPhoto Window or export with the Kind: Current you get that Preview. Exporting as Original will get the RAW.

  • Reports - output to Excel - does not format the "Broken by" rows correctly

    Choosing the "break by" column clause while building one of the
    wizard based reports works great when you are displaying the
    reports in the default HTML mode.
    So, my query actually returns a denormalized return set with
    multiple rows containing the same fields on certain columns.
    This works great with the default format, since the repeated
    fields/rows are nulled and I get a neat report.
    However, the same thing, if I choose to output in excel, I get
    the original denormalized output into the excel document instead
    of the null fields for the duplicate fields/columns
    It looks like it sends the result set directly to the excel
    before allowing the Report UI formatting to take effect. This
    is a big issue for us, since we promised the client that we
    could get them excel outputs easily, when it does not really
    work the way you would expect it.
    Any suggestions ??
    regards
