I have created Layout for sales.unfortunately I have right click on one PLD & clicked on the Duplicate .I wanna to delete that layout.
Please help me

You can't delete template from PLD template list
as you already duplicated from the system
template.
So try below query
UPDATE RDOC SET CanChange='Y' WHERE DocCode='RDR20001'
change the document code in query to
documentid in pld.
Paste the query in query generator & execute.
After this action,duplicate pld gets deleted.

To delete FBL1N layout, run Tcode SE38 fill the Program field with "RFITEMAP", then select the “VARIANTS” radio button, click on CHANGE button, choose the variants on text box (f4) and click “DELETE (Shift+F2)”

Deleting a layout already stored

hi
we r using tcode mb5b. in that one of our users created a layout for totals for non-hirearchical representation. it was set as a initial layout and it is shown as locked.
we r trying to run the report from that user. it is giving the following Runtime error
runtime error: check_selopt_illegal_sign
short text : incorrect 'SIGN' in select-options or ranges table.
only for this user this error is coming; other users r not having any problem (they have not set any layout)
pls tell me a solution to solve this problem

isn't it possible for that user to delete his layout again?
I found report BCALV_DELETE_ALL_USER_LAYOUTS
from SAP note #933916 to delete other users layouts...

Print Layout Designer - Deleteing unwanted Layouts - 2007A

Is there a problem with Deleteing layout templetes in 2007A.
We had no problems with deleting templetes in 2005. Now that we upgraded to 2007A we have the following problem.
We can not "DELETE LAYOUT" of unwanted templetes.. the option is grayed out on the menu. I've read the posts that suggest an update querry, but I find it hard that a update querry is the rsccomended fix. This problem is compounding since we must save any and all revisions to Layout Templetes under new names
Is this a problem in SAP 2007A?
Is it solved in a patch?

I have joined the forum yesterday, new to Final Cut Studio. I studied the manuals and understood them to a considerable extent. I am a maths teacher and I video myself teaching maths and science at my home (Sony DSR 450 & Sony PD 170), in my small studio. I make educational DVDs using iDVD. It worked very well for some time. Then I bought Final Cut Studio and experimented with DSP. While creating more space in the hard disc, accidentally I thrashed the .layout files. Now whatever the project I do, while formating I get a message saying "The source file does not come with the .layout files...etc". I have tried encoding outside DSP in compressor and the imported into DSP.It was't helpful. I re-installed Finalcut studio.....it's of no use. In the forum someone suggested to by YANK. Now I am not able to procede with any new project as I cannot Build or format..........Completely stuck. Help me please.
Original clips are imported from DVCAM using DSR11 VTR.

Are you using a premade template, from a prior project that you deleted the .layout files from?
If so, try creating a compleatly new project from scratch, (nothing to complicated, just a menu and any of the assets that were in the original project, that were giving you issues. Try an build this new project.
If the project does build, then the other project file, (that was giving you trouble, may have a damaged or corrupt project file, but in any case, this shouldn't have been caused by the deletion of the .layout files. What may be going on here is that the iMovie source, (you originally used) may have been using these .layout files and when removed, DVD SP couldn't find them and this may have cause the issues you are seeing.
Creating a new project from scratch, in DVD SP will sever all links to the iMovie projects. Also, when you say you exported out of FCP, you need to remember that there is a good work flow you should follow and that there are many ways of exporting and encoding assets from FCP to DVD SP.
Here is my work flow:
When the FCP project is ready for export, here is what I do.
Export using the Quicktime Movie, (NOT Quicktime convertion) and un-check the make self contained movie box. This creates a reference movie that contains all of the changes you made to the original movie, (edits, transitions, audio/video levels, etc.) but still uses the original movie assets you captured from your DV source, (save disk space and exports much quicker.)
Open Compressor and encode you project to Mpeg 2, (using one of the premade Apple settings for video) and AC3, (using A.Pack or if you are using Compressor 2, the Dolby audio option.) What this does, is give you a set of self contained assets you can import into DVD SP, that do not depend on any of the FCP assets to work and will also speed up the build process.
Next, import the Mpeg 2, (.m2v file) and AC3, (audio file) into DVD SP as your DVD project assets and author you project as usual.
Once your satisfied with your project, run the build, (not the build/format button.) If you do it this way, then you have the opportunity to preview you project in the Apple DVD player software on you computer, (using the VTS Folder import of the DVD player menu) before commiting it to disk. This alllows you to make sure everything works correctly, before burning media. If it builds ok, then click on the format button and burn your disk.

Transport for delete planning layout

is it possible to create a transport request for deletion. i would have to delete a planning layout i created using FAGLPLC(new g/l planning). i do not use this anymore and would like to delete it from the system and propagate the same to other environment(testing) . could you please let me know if it is possible to do so.

ur correct that, looks like, ONLY standard lay outrs r transportable. bcoz, when I used my_alv_layout, I did NOT see the SETTINGS option in MENU, instead there is ?????????????????????????????

Script to delete alternate layout

I am writing a script that puts ID documents into the correct folder and naming structure to be batch imported into a folio. The documents have two alternate layouts, the original "Print" layout and an "I" layout for ipad. I want the script to delete the "Print" layout pages before processing the document. This is effectively the first section of the document. If I try to target it as below, I receive an error that says cannot delete the doc's default section.

How do I correctly target this section, and what is the correct syntax for targeting it by it's altenate layout name, "Print"

@Tim – For a general solution removing ALL PAGES of an alternate layout, we need a more elaborate scripting solution.
I was wrong with my statement in post #7 that we have only to test for the value of "alternateLayout" to get all sections that belong to a specific alternate layout.
The value of a specific "alternateLayout" in a document is unique.
If more than one section is applied to one alternate layout the value of "alternateLayout" is an empty string.
So, basically, what I suggest is:
1. You have to loop through all sections and test for the value of "alternateLayout".
2. If the name of the alternate layout you want to remove is found store the "pageStart.documentOffset" value (( EDIT removed /EDIT )) in a variable for further use after the loop. Let's call that variable "firstPageIndex".
Store the length of the section to a variable we can call "lastPageIndex", add the value of "firstPageIndex" immediately (we cannot assume, that our found alternate layout will always start on page indexed zero).
Also use a boolean control. Let's call it "targetHit". Since our alternate layout is found now, we will set it to the value "true".
3. When the loop hits the next section and the value of "alternateLayout" is an empty string, you know, that this section also belongs to the found alternate layout. Otherwise the value would not be empty, but a name of a different alternate layout we do not want to remove the pages from.
You know that exactly, because you ALSO check the value of our control
"targetHit". (Remember, in our example its value is "true" now).
4. So, if both conditions are met at the same time, add the sum of "pageStart.documentOffset" and "section length" of the current section to the variable "lastPageIndex".
5. In case the value of "alternateLayout" is not an empty string AND not the name of our target AND the control value is "true", we have met another alternate layout and we have to break the loop immediately.
After the loop we could use our two variables "firstPageIndex" and "lastPageIndex" to remove all pages that are aggregated under the alternate layout name of our target:
myDocument.pages.itemByRange( firstPageIndex, lastPageIndex-1 ).remove();

Delete a layout without logging in to workspace

Hi all,
we have an issue in our environment (10.3.1.0.0): we are not able to login into workspace with some users with some roles. The reason of the problem seems to be related to a customized layout maybe corrupted, but we do not know how. We would like to perform a complete cleanup of the layout but we can't, due to the login issue.
There is another safe way to delete a customized layout? Through db, for example. We do not know the impact, so we would like to have reassurances about.

CJI3 - Save and delete layouts...

Hi... I need to save a layout under cji3. I have two queries:
i) How to save and set it to default?
ii) How to delete it once I have saved it? Having done this, is it possible to have any of the existing ones as default...

Hi,
in the same way as in many other applications.
If you have the layout on the screen tick the button "save layout" (or go to "settings / layout / save). Enter a layout name + description. If you flag the layout as "user-specific", it only appears for the user who created it, if you flag the layout as "default-setting" it is defaulted.
To delete a layout go again to "Settings / layout / manage" mark the layout to be deleted and delete it. By double-clicking the field "default-setting" you can determine another layout as default layout.
All these options can be restricted by authorization concept...

do you mean ALV-Layout? Goto in Listoutput to
SETTINGS->LAYOUT->LAYOUTMANAGEMENT and delete the layout.
If you not mean ALV, please explain it a little bit more.

Deleteing / Saving Query Print Layouts ..

I recently upgraded to PL15 and after creating a Query Report Layout, discovered that not only could I not make a change and save the change without saving the form under another name, but that I could not delete the origional Report Layout. Also, any Query Report Layouts created BEFORE the upgrade, I can not delete. Am I missing something here? Any ideas or anyone else experiencing the same issue? We created a Query Report with sensitive data we would like to delete.

Please explain the steps.
To delete a layout open the QPLD ..from the Reports Tab of the QPLD selection screen. go to Print Layout Design menu on the top and select delete layout.

Getting "SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC" error while creating a new layout

Hi,
I deleted a layout from a level. When I tried to create a new layout with the same technical name, I was getting a run time error.
Name of the error : SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC
Exception : CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
I went to ST22 and analyzed the dump. I found that the entries for the layout that I deleted were still present in the following 2 tables:
1) UPP_PARAMT
2) UPP_ELEMT
My questions are:
1) Is there any possibilities that I can retrive the layout that I deleted with the help of the entries present in the above tables?
2) Can I remove the entries from these two tables so that I can create a new layout with the same technical name?

Unable to move POWL Universal View/Layout by Transport Request

Hi Experts,
We have SRM7.0 ....This is a extenstion/refence to below thread.
Is SRM 7.0 POWL setting possible at Client or global level ?
In Config Client 610 I created some Layout in the POWL_QUERY ..so that it will be accessable to all users... and give name "Global" ( 6 Char) to the layout or View in webbrowser..given there TR ( Customization) Number..... and same name given in the GUI srceen POWL_QUERY in field "Layout".
Thne I moved ths TR from 610 ( Config Client) to 612 ( DEV Client)......and executed report POWL_D01 for relevant APPL ID in 612...but this created Universal View/Layout is not appareing in the SRM web browser... I saw some reports ...POWL_D08...but it does not exist in system.... I also executed report POWL_D08 in Config Client with TR and moved...but no use...

I need to remove "air." from package name. I'm get a Layout xml error when repackaging android app..

So, i'm doing this on my own app. I made an update for an older app that was build using Native Android. But this time, i used Adobe AIR... The catch is Adobe likes to append a "air." to the front of your package name without asking you. So basically I can't upload my update because it has a new package name is now "air.com.mycompany.myapp" rather than the original "com.mycompany.myapp"

I followed all the steps, made all the adjustments to the androidmanifest.xml like it asks.
But after going along with the above guide, with no issues when i get to the step that says
"Run the following command to create the resource file for the updated AndroidManifest.xml:"
I run this..
    "/Users/brybam/Documents/eclipse/android-sdk-mac_x86/platform-tools/aapt" package -f -M AndroidManifest.xml -F resources.arsc -I "/Users/brybam/Documents/eclipse/android-sdk-mac_x86/platforms/android-8/android.jar" -S ./res
But I keep getting the same error regarding the xml files in res/layout
    ./res/layout/expandable_chooser_row.xml:1: error: Error parsing XML: not well-formed (invalid token)
    ./res/layout/expandable_multiple_chooser_row.xml:1: error: Error parsing XML: not well-formed (invalid token)
    ./res/layout/main.xml:1: error: Error parsing XML: not well-formed (invalid token)
    ./res/layout/multiple_file_selection_panel.xml:1: error: Error parsing XML: not well-formed (invalid token)
    ./res/layout/ssl_certificate_warning.xml:1: error: Error parsing XML: not well-formed (invalid token)
The guide doesn't say anything about these xml files, and im not sure what to do with these or how to handle them.
If i go into the res/layout folder, and just delete these (i know they're necessary. But i just deleted them as a test, to get through the rest of the guide...)
I was able to get through the rest of the steps in the guide fine, make an apk, and put it on my phone...only to find out the app will crash the moment you try to run it. Probably because i deleted the layout xml files...But i cant get the command i need to run above to accept them!
So, earlier in the guide they have me use thing thing called the "AXMLPrinter2.jar" to make the AndroidManifest.xml readable so i can edit it.
I run something like this:
    java -jar "/Users/brybam/Desktop/repackage/AXMLPrinter2.jar" AndroidManifest.xml > AndroidManifest.xml.bk
This makes a new file "AndroidManifest.xml.bk" and i can edit that.
So, I was thinking with all of these layout xml files, maybe I could run this "AXMLPrinter2.jar" on them and then edit them. Because right now if you open them they're not human readable, and its hard for me to work on them if they're not...
I tried this thinking i could do the same thing...
    java -jar "/Users/brybam/Desktop/repackage/AXMLPrinter2.jar" main.xml > main.xml.bk
Just get a blank file and a console erorr when trying to use the AXMLPrinter2.jar on the layout xml files...

Ok, so I found a site that talks about the error I'm getting but it's in chinese, and even after translating the page...I'm still not well versed with terminal and this stuff to get it.

Maybe someone with more know-how could explain what they're explaining? I get that he's saying the issue im seeing appears when you're using minSdK <=7 but I need to use minSdk 8. Does anyone understand this work around? And how I might go about it on a Mac with terminal?
I wish adobe would make it easy to remove the "air." from the package name. If they want to convert old Native devs to AIR devs...the transition needs to be seamless. But now I'm about to have to go back to Native because I can't update an app I already have out on the market with an air app.

     I also tried to remove "air." package name in air application. And i encounter the same problem.
     I do not find any solution to decode the xml inside res folder by AXMLPrinter2.jar. And those xml inside is compressed which is unreadable.
     However, what you can do is copying the structure of res folder. And go to your air sdk file path - adobeair-sdk-folder/lib/android/lib/resources/
     Replace those file exists in your res folder. And copy "values" folder to your res folder.
     Hope this solve your problem~
