To delete all instances of a particular bpel process using java APIs

Hi,
Which classes and methods are used for bulk instances deletion of BPEL process using APIs.

Iam using this code for deleting instances in bulk,
WhereCondition wc = WhereConditionHelper.whereInstancesClosed();
IBPELDomainHandle domainHandle = locator.lookupDomain();
BPELProcessId processId1 = new BPELProcessId("default","DBTest","1.0");
domainHandle.deleteInstancesByProcessId(processId1);
but iam getting Eceptions like
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Exception: Error deserializing return-value: java.io.InvalidClassException: com.oracle.bpel.client.BPELDomainHandle; local class incompatible: stream classdesc serialVersionUID = -6384534326625967840, local class serialVersionUID = -8310067783665200608
Iam able to delete instances one by one using this code,

Did you ever find a solution to your problem?
My situation is that I'm running a process that grabs data from a salesforce.com web service and dumps some of the data back into my local database. The process croaks after processing 850 or so records. I have also increased my PermSize memory to 512M.
Any ideas why all of a sudden after processing that many records it would stop working?

Terminate a BPEL Process using Java Code

Hi,
How can I achieve the forcible termination of a BPEL process via Java code??

I guess I'll not be able to use event handlers because if I set an OnMessage, the process wont get kicked off till I receive a message, isnt it?
My requirement is that I want the BPEL to keep executing as normal but as soon as I send a request to Stop, then it should terminate.
Actually, is it possible to achieve the following? That is, I want to keep running a bpel process but at the same time keep monitoring for an input message(sent from another partnerlink maybe). As soon as I receive my input message, a different scope is executed and in this scope I can then put a terminate.

For deletion scripts I am particularly cautious. I want to delete all the instances for a particular composite id. How do I get the composite id. ProcessData [1.0] is shown in the EM under the soa application tree. Is it the composite id.

How to get the input payload passed to the BPEL Process using java.

I am working on an application in which, if some fault occurs in the flow I need to insert the input payload that is being sent to the BPEL process into a Queue using Java. I have gone through the FaultHandling framework and failed to find the method by which we can get the input payload. Can someone kindly help me in getting the input payload. using the java.

Your problem sounds like many RMI problems answered in this forum in the past, especially if the java client is not on the same container as the bpel engine.
Usually solved with setting some environment properties like dedicated.rmicontext=true etc.

I have multiple bpel in my composite. I checked in ci_indexes table and it shows the instance number of the bpel process. But the em console is showing only the composite instance number. when I opened composite instance, I could see all the bpel process with instance number in the audit trail. How can I find the the actual composite instance number that I should search for in the em console ???

Iterate through all the records in a table using Java API

Hi All,
What is the easiest way to iterate through all the records in a given table using Java API? I cannot find any methods that will return all records in a table and the only way I can use is to perform a free form search with a condition that is always true. The code works but is pretty ugly. Is there an alternative to this approach?

Hi Kenny,
You can construct a new Search object with your table's code name, a new ResultSetDefinition object for your table and just execute this search using the GetResultSet method of CatalogData.
Please look at the following code:

Delete all instance for the BPM process

How can I delete all instances or specific instance of the BPM Process except redeploy the process and unchecked the keep all instance option??

Just a small correction. When you ReDeploy Workflow SCA file and Uncheck the option to keep running instances, if I am not wrong, all OLD instances are NOT deleted. They just become STALE (change the status). BUT these instances are still there in the Database but not show up in the Worklist/Workspace app. You may see these Tasks but you CANNOT open them and it says like Task Details Not Found etc.
But if your intention is to delete the instances permanently, then see the earlier post on how to delete from EM. This will take care of permanently deleting.

Deleting all instances of a link

Hi,
I have a lot of instances of a link spread over a number of pages and I want to delete all of them without having to go to each page, select each one and delete it. I thought there'd be a way using the links pallet such as right clicking the link group and "delete all" but there doens't seem to be.
The links don't have a specific object style applied so I can't (I think) use Find/Change Object.
Is there another way around this?

Looks like you don't have WebLogic classes on the classpath:
javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Cannot instantiate class: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory [Root exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory]
Other options for creating an instance are to use a web service call or one of the other adapters (e.g. JMS). If you need to directly start a process you might also look at this blog from the ATeam:

Implement callback for an asynchronous BPEL process through Java

Hi ,
I am trying to implement a callback functionality for an asynchronous BPEL process through java.
I found the code in the samples folder of SOA suite installation folder .
<SOA_HOME>\bpel\samples\tutorials\102.InvokingProcesses\rmi\com\otn\samples\async.
There is an AsyncInstanceWatchdog object which registers a callback object(in this case an object of AsyncCallbackImpl class) for a specific CONVERSATION_ID.

There is no problem till the last line. But once the BPEL process returns the control( does a callback), it throws the following error.

For your reference the variable output is declared in the definition of AsyncCallbackImpl (which implements the IAsyncInstanceCallback interface).
There are 2 methods defined in the AsyncCallbackImpl class.

The variable name is same given in the sample code. And the BPEL process returns variable named output. So the name should not be a problem.
Is it because of the scope of the variable.. If so, how do I change it.

Both gives the same solution..
In pre 10.1.3.3 release the default behaviour were to keep global variable information along with the instance information for completed BPEL processes.
In 10.1.3.3 or later, this behaviour changed for performance reasons so that the default behaviour is now, not to keep any global variables for a BPEL process once the BPEL process has completed.
You can configure this behaviour on a process level basis by using the parameter keepGlobalVariables in the bpel.xml file for the specific process:

<configurations>
<property name="keepGlobalVariables">true</property>
</configurations>
</BPELProcess>
