To display icons in the report

Hi All,
I am Building a report transport request tracking.....in my master data....i have an infoobject :'import status of a request'....in which symbols are stored like truck symbol, arrow symbol, red error symbol, green symbol(means successfull) etc...and their corresponding texts.....but when i am seeing the output of the report text is coming and when i am changing it to key...instead of displaying the symbol something else is coming....for ex ---green symbol - @5b@ red error symbol-@5c@  etc.....then i found out that in SAP these symbols are stored internally in this way only.....so i guess when SAP is trying to send the data to excel...it not able to interpret what sap system interprets internally .....
is there any way i can display those symbols in my report ?

I raised a post about replacing text and/or keys with an image file about a year ago. As far as I know there is no way to get BEx to do this for a dynamic list (i.e. where the data in the rows / columns is not always on the same row / column).
Try the following:
Replacing text descriptions with an image file

Good luck and, if you are successful, I would be very keen to see how.

    Hi,
i have set up a small test case on apex.oracle.com and I receive the same error if I use download format.
    I have a table
test_blob (id number, name varchar2(10), blobcont blob)
    If I create IR like
      select
        id,
        name,
        blobcont
from test_bloband then I define download format I hit the error.
If you want this to work you have to change your query to
      select
        id,
        name,
        dbms_lob.getlength(blobcont) blobcont
from test_blobAnd then again define download format for blob on blobcont column.

  • How can I get the date and time and display it on the report main page?

    Gurus,
How can I get the date and time and display it on the report main page?
    Thanks!

    Hello,
You can create a Formula Colum returning a date :
    function CF_1Formula return Date is
    begin
    RETURN(SYSDATE);
    end;
Put a Field in the Layout having this formula column as source .

  • The number of display columns in the report reached the limit" Interactive Report

I get the error message of "The number of display columns in the report reached the limit" when trying to display less than 100 (100 is limit) columns when an aggregate has been created.   This does not happen when an aggregate has not been added to the IR report.  It seems to happen because I have a control break on as well.  When I turn off the control break it works but is not the result that we want.  Interesting enough, if I filter the results down to 500 rows it works just fine.  Does oracle treat aggregates as columns!?  This is a really odd issue that I really need to clear up.

    Hello Nick,
Yes all the components show green and I can access the reports without any issues. Its just the icon that does not show up.
I will check the logs you have mentioned to see if there are any exceptions in them.
But the issues started up after applying the patches for 11.1.2.2.
I have checked the location path mentioned in Weblogic.xml in raframework.war file and the path points to the correct folder location where the folders mt and mt_thumbnails are located.
Is the any other way out?
Should I delete the contents inside the tmp folder located in RAFramework0
    or
Can reconfigurin Reporting and Analysis framework services help in resolving the issue?
    Please let me know.

    Hi Matze_Moto,
It should not be an issue. What you are seeing is the ability to Mirror your display to an Apple TV. If you feel that there is an issue, click on the menu to see if it is actually connected to another display. Check out the article below for more information.

  • Dynamically fetch data from database and display it in the report

    Hi,
We have a requirement in developing a report which needs us to dynamically fetch data from the database and display it in the report.
We have a column called WORKER in the report.
For each worker there is a measure(PSA) associated with it.
In the report we have to display both the WORKER and the PSA column.
What we want is, when we display the list of the workers, the corresponding workerid_id of the worker will be passed and the value of his PSA will be fetched from the database and displayed in the report.
    Or anything similar to this.
We also have drill applied on this WORKER column. So after any drill up or drill down also the value for PSA should change.
Is there any way of doing this?
    Please help if possible.

  • To display the icon on the report output

    hi friends good afternoon!
iam devloping a report which need to display the icon on the output.
when i press the icon some action will be performed,
this is my requirment plz help.

    Hi,
First declare INCLUDE ICON in the program Code.
Then you can write the different Icons:
    declare a single char field.
move the icons into that and display.
    sample code:
    form select_icons.
      data: w_disp_tab like zpickdisp,
            w_disp_head like zpickhead,
            w_color like zpickdisp-color,
            ov_icon like zpickdisp-ov_icon,
            gi_icon like zpickdisp-gi_icon,
            to_icon like zpickdisp-to_icon,
            lp_icon like zpickdisp-lp_icon,
            pc_icon like zpickdisp-pc_icon,
            lv_icon like zpickdisp-lv_icon,
            vm_icon like zpickdisp-vm_icon,
            em_icon like zpickdisp-em_icon,
t_ovst_tab like t_disp_tab with header line.
      constants: c_col1(3) value 'C10',
                 c_col2(3) value 'C20'.
      sort t_data_tab by lgtor vbeln.
      w_color = c_col2.

        fill ALV header table

  • Authorization problem when displaying icons in BW Report

    Hi All
I have the following problem when display BW Report as iView: The report data itself is displayed perfectly but to display the icons (like DrillDown arrows, Hierarhy level open arrows) the Windows login message "Connect to <my BW server.com>:8000" appears and I have to enter BW user name and password explicitly. The system for BW is defined, the user is mapped, UIDPW method is used. Again, the report data itself is displayed, the problem is only with icons. I can see that the path to icons is like:
    http://<my BW server>.com:8000/sap/bw/Mime/BEx/Icons/s_b_up.gif
How could I rid of this authorization request?

Thanks! I already did this and it helped for most of icons. But for five remaining icons i still get authorization request althoug these icons are in the same path. The icons are:
