To find if a record (file) exist in the Appplication server directry path

As per the scenario, a file is loaded from an external system to the SAP Applicatoin server (Trasaction AL11 ) everyday. Whenever the file is loaded a timestamp is maintianted against the file displaying its last changed data and time. The server file path is constant for this inbound file.
Can anyone please suggest an ABAP code or a procedure and all the function modules involved that will help in finding if the file is generated for the present day...If not than a notification needs to be sent to the person (or team) through an E-mail to repeat the load process

Yes, Understood your requirement. I could think of 2 solutions:
1) After you process the file move the it to some other folder so that the file doesn't keep lying in the same folder, More preferrable solution
2) You can get the properties of Unix File, by executing UNIX Command in ABAP something like
CALL SYSTEM Unix command to read file attributes which I dont remember now

Process chain does works fine. But my question is do we have anyway to stop the process chain or do not run process chain if it does not find the file available any days during this time range instead of failing.*

Follow the function modules listed in :

with these function modules - you can get a list of files available in the application server directory.
Pseudo code :
1. Generate the automated fiel name you want
2. Get the list of files in the directory
3. Search the list of files to see if your file exists
4. If the file exists then load the file , else load an empty file .
The code is unfortunately in a different BW system that I do not have access to at this moment... but then the procedre is the same as detailed above.

We have customized master page
In the master page, we use path the script/style file like this: <SharePoint:CssRegistration name="<% $SPUrl:~SiteCollection/Style Library/coe/mainCOE.css%>"
runat="server"/>
While using the dynamic path in a multiple languages enabled site, language Id(1033 etc) will be added to the path automatically. That cause the file to be not found.
To solve the issue, please download the Arabic language pack http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3411 ,
install it on your SharePoint and refresh your browser.

Upload image in PA30 for a pernr getting error 'Either no file exists in the directory or the directory cannot be found'

Hi ,
I have uploaded image in AL11 and trying to link to thorough OA_UPLOAD_AND_LINK program. But when crosschecked it is existing there.
passed values in selection screen link below= >
while doing it an error is coming 'Either no file exists in the directory or the directory cannot be found'.
Directory is identified by program but file does not.
Any solution?
P.S. files are uploaded and saved in JPG format

Try to clear the flag "Processing in Front End", in this way the program will search for the file on application server and not from the front end.
Or select a file directly from your computer.

All indirect SAP defined wage types starts with " / " (slash).
Indirect Cm wage types will be the name defined as per by the cm but should not start with slash..
Copy the SAP defined and use them.

setting the retention target doesnt mean that the unnecessary flashback logs get deleted automatically, its just a threshold, that has to be guaranteed
the database works like "ok i can fulfill the desired flashback retention target with the current flashback logs, but there are some (a lot of) extra free space left in the FRA (db_recovery_file_dest_size = 100 GB), so lets just continue writing flashback logs, meaning that you will be able to flashback to an even earlier time/SCN if you wish"
once the FRA gets full, and something else needs the space in the FRA (archivelog, newer flashback log, etc), THEN the old flashback logs will be deleted
if it really annoys you, you can force the deletion of flashback logs by setting the db_recovery_file_dest_size parameter temporarily to a lower value (not too low, check before how much space is really needed in there), then the database will delete the unnecessary files from there - then set it back to its original value

I want to find the existing programs in the system by an abap program. Which table should I use? TADIR or TRDIR? I have seen that there can be cases like a program doesn't exist in the system (se38 says so) but there is an entry in TADIR table.
What about trdir? Should I use TRDIR?

In order to find an abap program really exists in the system, I plan to look at both tables, tadir and trdir, and if I find the program in both tables, I will decide that it really exists.
Is it a right approach? What do you think?

I am facing a problem in BI 7.0 related to query view.I am able to create a view on a query and can successfully save it .But when I am trying to open it using Bex Analyzer, it throws an error that query does not exist on the current server.
Please find the steps below which I did to create a query view in BI 7.0.
1.Executed query and then clicked on save from the tool bar.It asks me to save as workbook or save as view.I clicked on save as view and gave some name to view.It saved successfully.
2.Now when in Bex I am trying to open the view , it gives the message 'The requested query does not exist on the current server'.
Please help me in solving the issue.

I am aware of three different options. RS.exe, Working with the APIs (i.e., CreateCatalogItem) using custom code like C# or PowerShell, or using BIDs.

You could also add each report to a BIDs project and deploy that way. I don't think Microsoft will support any other methods, like using a SQL Script.

Problem in WAD (The requested query / does not exist on the current server)

When i execute a Web Application in WAD in the selection screen suppose if i give Key product as 86000 then check and execute i get correct data. Then if i come to backpage (Selection screen again using backspace) and change Key product as 86022 then check and execute then i get following error

E2E RCA - The requested query / does not exist on the current server

Hi All,
The RCA for managed system is configured successfully and we are getting EWA for JAVA also.
But when i try to look at the statistics through Workload Analysis it gives error "The requested query / does not exist on the current server" and "unknown or deleted query".
I again tried to run CCMSBI_SETUP_E2E report but the problem STILL persists.
Please let me know what are the other methods i shall try.

Hi,
Our solution manager is in EHP1 SP23 and BI content is on 704 SP05.
Firstly the BI was configured in 001 client, we changed it to production client and activated the source system as mentioned in SOLMAN_SETP -> Basic configuration.
Later i found out the there are no queries. I already told to update the BI content and SAP BW patch to SP06.
Do you think it will work?

Hy, i created an workbook an QAs with a query that i have trasported from DEV.
The query exist on QAs system but when open the workbook i receive this error message:<i>'The requested query does not exist on the current server'</i>.
When i select ok, the workbokk is opened correctly because the query exist in system QAs.
How can i remove the initial error message .

When you create a workbook in DEV, you will be assigning a query for that workbook
When you transport workbook from DEV to QA,the assigned workbook comes along with it
When you transport only query from DEV to QA, there are certain technical elements called query elements which may not have transported properly
To avoid this inconsistency between DEV and QA,it is advisable you transport the workbook again....Create new workbook in DEV, assign a query, transport the workbook to QA
