Hi,
Try the following.
If you don't already have one, use another PC to create a Windows 7 Repair CD.  Download the relevant ISO from the links below.
Windows 7 32bit
Windows 7 64bit
You should use an application such as ImgBurn ( Note: you may want to de-select the additional software options during the installation of ImgBurn ) to burn the ISO to a CD - a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is Here. 
When created, tap away at the esc key as soon as you start the notebook launch the Start-up Menu and then insert the Repair CD.  Select Boot options ( usually f9 ), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and hit enter.  You may also get a prompt to 'Press any key to continue' - do this if asked.
Select the 'Repair your Computer' option and follow Option 2 in the guide on the link below to run Start-up Repair – you may need to run this 2 or 3 times.

    hi all,
    i just got a macbook pro two weeks ago. I am pretty satisfied with this laptop but since its my first mac experience and i am expecting mac's to be perfect there are a couple of things ( may be minor) that are bothering me.
    first is, while working on my mac i have noticed the screen goes blank for a fraction of a second.
    second, i have mighty mouse but at times it stops working as well, in the bluetooth menu it shows that my mouse is connected but it won't work, so then i have to disconnect it and connect it back again.
    should i take my macbook to apple store or what
    any suggestion would be appreciated.

    You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
    You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
    *Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
    Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
    "Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
    *Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance

  • Screen goes blank after windows boots up.

    i just updated my graphics driver through HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT when suddenly my laptop went blank and restarted on its own and after the windows logo i got a blank screen but the process is running in the background,just the display is gone.i rebooted in safe mode and disabled my graphics driver Radeon HD 6490M and it booted normally but with a lower resolution.i am not sure what the problem is.
    my laptop model is HP PAVILION dv6-6119tx

    yes the issue is solved.just boot into safe mode and disable the ATI graphics driver.then boot the into normal WINDOWS.the screen resolution will be low and now UNINSTALL INTEL graphics driver.then restart your system.now when you boot into WINDOWS,the INTEL driver will get installed automatically.if you are connected to the internet,the driver will be downloaded from WINDOWS UPDATE.so you need to skip that step.and the driver will get installed from existing folders.after it gets installed reboot your system.and it should work fine

    Try a reset which is similar to a computer restart and is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously you see the Apple logo and then release.

    I have a lenovo g470 laptop bought it a couple of months ago it came with preinstalled windows 7 64 bit.
    It worked perfectly for a month but nowadays it seems like there is some trouble while booting my windows.
    when start my windows windows 7 logo appears normally but after that screen goes blank for approx 15-20 seconds and then logon screen appears and after that everything works normally.

    could be windows issue.
    start-up your computer and press f8 to load "last known good configuration" when you see lenovo logo at start-up.

  • Beach ball on startup, screen freezes, hangs

    I have been experiencing problems with my iMac, and they have escalated to the point that I can no longer startup my computer without getting the spinning "beach ball" which just hangs there, making the computer unusable. 
    Prior to this, I would occasionally experience slowness, screen freezes when the mouse moves (see screen shot), and crashes, but other times it worked perfectly.
    I'd appreciate any help or advice.

    Thanks for the information, I tried both of the solutions you offered.
    I was able to repair the hard drive and permissions without any errors. 
    In safe start mode makes my computer behave properly -- no issues at all and the speed is great.  I checked the Login items and turned all off.  (Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary -- iTunes helper, iOmega HD, and a fan speed control item*)
    When I restart after being in safe mode, the startup screen is white for a while, then goes to this new screen which I haven't seen before (greenish yellow w/ pixelated blocks across the bottom. (see screen) and hangs there.  (No login screen.)
    * This iMac is the one that has a problem overheating.  The fan controller isn't a new addition.

    The problem is everytime slode open my phone the screen goes blank for about 7 to 10 sec and then it returns back to its normal state,note this i also encounter nonresponsive down arrow key while the flip is open....
    can anyone please shed some on this,.......

  • HT1430 iphone screen goes blank

    Has anyone run into the issue where they phone is working one minute and then the screen goes blank for hours.  I try resetting and even restoring via iTunes.  Oddly enough it has come back on twice but again then has the same issue. 
    There doesnt to be many other options out there at this point and open to all suggestion, thanks!

    After installing OS 10.4.9, i restarted the computer and the computer keeps hanging at the blue startup screen.

    i followed the instructions and repaired disk and permission. but still blue screen
    3.After repairing the disk by using FSCK command,
    i did it. and when i restart the computer, the blue screen sill remains
    it not works then the only option would be to try
    repairing with the disk or a re-install of operating
    system
    when i load the dvd that came with the ibook, nothing happens. i tried pressing 'c' or 's' or 'option' when the computer restarts. it doesnt work as well. nothing happens. the computer loads and freezes when the loading bar at the blue screen is fully loaded.

  • Backup iTunes podcast download status for Windows XP reinstall

    I'm preparing for a long overdue reinstall of Windows XP. I use iTunes to downoad oodles of podcasts; I have many episodes which I've not yet downloaded and won't until I've completed the reinstall. That is, their download status is still set to "Get".
    My question is: How can I backup the status of my individual podcast episodes?
    I know how to backup/export the subscriptions (OPML) and the already downloaded files of course. Does iTunes have a file (XML? .config? ...) or some metadata that I can hook into so that I don't have to re-download everything once my reinstall is done?

    Hi, welcome to Apple Support Communities.
    Start iTunes. Second menu keyword at the top-left will be Edit. Click this and then click the last item on the menu that drops down which is Preferences. The left-most tab is General and last control on the tab is Language. Click the drop-down, select English UK or English US which should be the 8th & 9th items respectively, click OK. Close iTunes, reopen.

  • Just upgraded to QT Pro for Windows and cant find the "new screen recording" option

    I've only ever used QT Pro for Mac. Son got a Windows laptop and would like to do screen recording so I upgraded his QT Player to Pro version.
    I had a chat with Apple Store support but they didnt know. Are there differences in Mac and Windows versions? How to get a refund if so? Thanks.
