Hello I finish this year a project of electronic to present in front of jury. I would like to show the assets of the Labview software by carrying out the interface of my project under this program. I have to work before with this software and an auxiliary chart to make regulation speed engine and regulation of heating. This time I would need to use the serial port .I have a serial port connected to a CPLD+mémory SRAM. This assembly will send data by serial port . The PC must take delivery of the data in binary format and separate each one of the bit ====>first I recept the first word of 8 bits; the first bit is posted on a line the second bit on one second line etc.... (thus 8lignes) and when I recept the following word of 8 bit I carry out the same thing. In the final analysis I must find 8 lines posting a value 0 or 1 as on a logical analyzer. If I translate your question into my (also foreign) english I would say that you receive bytes from the serial line in the form of characters
and that each bit is representing the state of a digital line.
So you need to read characters from the serial line 1 at a time, convert this into a byte and this one into 8 bits and display it.
Try to find all these steps and the forum will help you to add them together.

Wow, have seen Files do that, but a whole Folder as I recall!
Could be many things, we should start with this...

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)

hi,
in component controller create a method save, on that read the node that containing the user name and password into itab using the code wizard.now write code to insert itab to the dbtable of ur choice. save the method and activate .
now go to ur view, create a button.. on action of that call the method in the comp_controller.

A string that can be displayed as both ASCII and hex in an indicator will only save the data to a file in ASCII format

We can see the data in an indicator just fine, but when we try to write that string of hexadecimal data to a file, it will only save the data in ASCII format.
This sounds fairly simple, as the indicator can be selected to display the data in several different formats (VI>Properties>Appearance>Display Style: Normal, Backslash...., Hexadecimal). However, I have been unable, as of yet, to save the data in different formats.

How do I save IRS pdf forms so that I can fill in and save the data

when I downlaod a US government IRS form I am unable to fill in the form, save the data and print, I have tried saving as a pdf from the print menu and using the tools menu none of which works

I know there is an app called PDFPen that is supposed to fill in PDF forms. PDFPen is available in the App Store, but it is not free.
I have no financial interest in PDFPen. I also don't know if there is some cheaper way to fill in the forms.

Unable to Save the Data Using BexSetData

Hi All,
I have a issue regarding saving plan data,
Design: I got a Workbook with several tabs, each tab has a input ready Query and has a layout as below
A formatted user facing worksheet containing; an area where the user enters their plan data with a BEx save data button, an input ready query and a worksheet containing the BExSetData formulas that reference the values entered on the user facing worksheet.
Issue: When i try to enter the value in the user facing sheet, the data is shown in the BexSet Data Sheet with out any problem,
But when i try to save the data the data is not saved into the cube.
Can any one please give some ideas of possible cause.
One more question is the input ready query doesn't have any references to other sheets, will this be a reason for the data not saved?
Please through some ideas.

How to save the data in a Subvi

Dear people,
I am currently making a program which is calling with a Call by Reference Node. after that, I read out data (in this case an array of clusters) and I am writing new data to the cluster of the subvi.
My problem is that the new data isn't stored in the subVI. If I close my Caller VI and i take a look in the SubVI all the 'new' data is erased and it seems to me that the program returned to its Default Values...
How can I make a program so that the new data is stored in the subVI after I called it. I tried already with a invoke Node and then as method: Make all current Values Default. Actually, the SubVI is in the wrong state to execute that node...So I don't know how to go...

Yes, I can explain,
I am making a test program which is testing a device. There are around 400 different tests, and it is important that all the tests go in a sequential order.
Before I actually run a test I need to give up some parameters. The parameters are been given in a mainprogram.
so, if I load my main program, it is scanning which tests are available. From each test I would like to see the paramters in my main-program. I am doing this by putting it into a cluster, which is been read-out by my main program.
I also would like to change the paramters, and then save the paramters back into the SubVI. For Example, In my main prgram I can set if a test is enabled or disabled.
After setting the paramters the subvi closes. At the begin of testing, I scan all the tests outputs using a 'Call by Reference' node and I look if they are enabled or not. If yes, I make up an array of paths and after that all the tests which are in that array are been called and executed. the results aretransferred back to the main program, stored, and finally written in a TSV file (Tab Separated Value file.)
the reason for a dynamically load is that in the case of someone wants to add a new test, it is dificult to change the mainprogram. In other words, the program which I am writing is for people who don't know much about labview, so I want to make it as user-friendly as possible. I am planning to make a kind of an wizard that helps the engineers to add tests.
the second reason is that there are different devices which needs to be tested. If I load all my tests in one time, that means that for each different device I have to load all the tests. that means that I have to load over 5000 tests in one time, which is not so nice.

This allows me to modify, add new data, etc in the "Table" when wanted and to SAVE the latest information when wanted.
I need to save all the table data by using ONLY one button.
