To verify plant of user (log on user) against plant data

In ABAP, How can I write code for verifying plant of user (log on user) with plant data in internal table. To check whether they are the same. Any good answer will be rewarded. Thank you very much.

Check the SY-UNAME with the the name of the Plant user
Plant user data take it from T001W table
and All logon User data will be in USR02 table
take the data from corresponding tables and check.

HFM - log that shows if a user has loaded data via web form or excel load.

I can see any data loads that are coming from FDM, but is there a log that shows any data entered into HFM via web forms or submitted through an excel file? Any input is appreciated.

You could enable Data Audit to capture data changes made by users, though this will not capture which method users chose to change the data. That is, HFM can show that data changed, and who changed it, but cannot tell whether the data was changed through a form, grid, smart view, or FDM. If you want to prevent users from changing data through forms, grids, or smart view, you can secure those input methods, but you cannot capture which one is used.

I have requirement to get the last user who in charge in modifying the planning data.
Or in the other words, i'm gonna get the log from the entried planning data.

1. Phase 1 - My Friend:
Create the planning data :

2. Phase 2 - I update it and create new record.

Could i get the log from those records ??
The log can be contain:

I just read the article regarding status and tracking system in BPS, but could i cover that requirement ??
(Because i got that the status and tracking system for creating a workflow for planning).

Have a firewall, check that Thunderbird has full internet access, not some Auto rubbish that somehow fails.

Authenticating a User against UNIX LDAP

Here's an easy way:
Pick the user that you want to eliminate (making sure that the remaining user has administrator privileges) and move all of the data that you want to keep into the Shared folder. Reboot or log out and login to the user you want to keep. Copy all the data from the Shared folder into your account - placing it neatly in folders (Documents, Music, Movies, etc.).
Once the data is moved, log into the account you want to delete just once more to make certain that you've grabbed all the data you want to keep. Log out and log back into your admin account and go to System Preferences>Users & Groups and delete the 'old' user.
That should do it.

User cannot retrieve data in app on local PC

A certain user cannot retrieve data in one application whilst being able to send data in that application. She can access the 'Finance' application, send data in that application and retrieve data but in another application, 'ICM', she cannot retrieve data whilst being able to send data in that application. The weird thing is that she can retrieve data on another PC in the same application (same ID). This means the problem of retrieving data only exists on that specific computer.
As the problem only exists on that PC I did the following:
- clear local application data (via eTools in BPC for Excel)
- make sure the BPC client on that PC works => all show OK in BPC Client Log.txt (after diagnostics)
But still no results so...
Any suggestions...anyone?

Can you try to clear "Local application information". Its in ETools--> Client Option.
then login using connection Wizard.

Create subscription not having the correct created by user name and date

Last week we upgraded our system to SP14 from SP11. When a user creates
a new document request from a template (refer attachment-screen shots),
subscription notification is sent with the wrong created by user name &
date. Instead of showing the user who created the request using the
template, it is showing the users name & date who loaded the templates
to the repository.
Also, when the user creates new document request from template, the
name of the templates defaults in the system property name without any
extension, in other words it looks like it is overwriting the same file
name to all the requests & is not able to identify the users name. We
did not see this behavior in SP11.
Since we are already in production & this is causing lot of issues &
confusion, if any of you have experienced this issue, please let me know how it was resolved.
I am also attaching the log files with errors for your reference.

How can I authenticate users against a WAS system from third-party app?

We are looking at developing a third-party standalone web application e.g. in Rails (but it could be on any framework for that matter).
How would we go about authenticating users against a SAP WAS backend? Are there some standard web services for this? What other means are there for authentication?

From the comment in SUSR_LOGIN_CHECK_RFC you just need to pass user name and it will return if user can still log on. Only your system will know credentials for this user so an attacker won't be able to use this service for cracking passwords.

You would need to ensure that only the service exposing the "login check" can be called, and not the FM's in the group.
BTW: SAP Java WAS can provide SAML 2.0 assersions (technically a component shipped with IdM, but you don't have to use the rst of the IdM if you don't want to..). If your applications are all web enabled ones (WDA?) then that is an option to consider, which is also strategically supported.
SSO2 Logon tickets are not really a strategy anymore... and installing a double-stack system on all ECC sytems just to have SAML is not strategic either..
I have heard several wishes for SAML authentication for SAPGui, but not seen anything official yet in that direction.

There is no message to return to tell user when clear data operation in HFM ?

We have a HFM of Hyperion 11.1.2.2 running Windows 2008 R3 server with Oracle 11g on IBM AIX server. When user ran "clear data operation" on HFM server. The clear data operation is good just there
is no message to show is completed. Is a setting missing on HFM server or shared services server ? Any thoughts ? thanks

All I have found so far is one small note in a help file and something that might be related under EAP-FAST explanation.
I have posed this question to our Cisco account team but no response yet.

Hmmm....you should be getting more than that from debug radius and debug aaa authen if your AP is truly attempting EAP authentication. The debugs I generally use for this are 'debug aaa authen', 'debug radius', and 'debug dot11 aaa dot1x all' coupled with gathering the detailed support logs from ACS. A warning about 'debug dot11 aaa dot1x all'....it is VERY verbose and cryptic if you don't have alot of experience looking at it so it may be best to open up a TAC case. With these debugs turned on, you should see an EAPOL logon show up from the client (usually says 'received EAPOL packet...') and then a request for identity from the switch and a response from the client with a username and password. Then a series of RADIUS challenge/response packets will be passed which consists of the server cert being passed to the client for validation and then the client sending the username and password to the server. Then you will finally get an access-reject or access-accept packet from the RADIUS server. The failed and passed attempts logs in ACS can also provide good info as to what the source of the failure may be. Do you get any passed or failed attempts for these authentications?

Provisioning a user in future date

Hello,
Creating a new user and provisioned to OID work properly.
Now I would like to create a user with start date in the future. OIM when the value USR_START_DATE is on the future it update the USR_PROVISIONING_DATE too on the same future date but not execute the provisioning to OID and the USR_STATUS is "Disabled Until Start Date"
If there any way to update the USR_START_DATE with a different USR_PROVISIONING_DATE and do the provioning as normal and keep USR_STATUS as Active.

i'm using the Thor.API.Operations.tcUserOperationsIntf.createUser((java.util.Map arg0).
arg0 will contain USR_PROVISIONING_DATE=today date and USR_START_DATE = to the future date.
I apply what your propose and push the USR_PROVISIONING_DATE=today date and put it on the pre-insert in Users form.
sorry it did not work, it change the value in USR_PROVISIONING_DATE to put the USR_START_DATE value and didn't provisioned

Restrict Which Users Can Enter Data In List Form in SharePoint Foundation 2013

Is there a way to restrict which users can enter data in particular fields in a list item entry form?
We are using a SharePoint Foundation 2013 list and calendar to manage vacation time. We need to restrict non-supervisor users users from entering a value in a certain field in the vacation request form.
Here is how the system works now:
1. Employees complete the vacation request form (which creates a list item)
2. An email is sent to their supervisor to either approve or decline the request
3. Approved requests are automatically entered onto the vacation calendar
We have restricted the list so that only supervisors can edit items (the pending vacation requests). The problem is that all users can mark their own requests as approved when they fill out the request form in the first place. Is there a way to restrict
which users can enter data in particular fields on a list item entry form?

Thanks for the suggestion. We ended up 1) hiding the approval column and 2) creating a second list, workflow, etc. The user no longer sees the approval column when filling out the form. Requests are now submitted to list A. Workflow #1 copies the request
to List B, then deletes the item from List A. Once the request is added to List B, Workflow #2 emails the user that the request has been received and emails the supervisor that a request needs to be approved. Only supervisors have editing permissions on List
B. Approved requests are automatically added to the vacation calendar (the calendar view of List B).

How are you verifying it? Are you responding to the email that is sent? If not, do so.
If so, then try changing your password.
