Tomahawk JSF pagination display style

I am new to JSF.
I am using tomahawk data scroller. My requirement is to display pagination like below
<previous> page x of y <next> .
If I am entering any thing inside <facet name ="previous" those are not displayed as I wish. Please let me know How to do this.

Ah OK, I now see and understand your problem.
Sorry, I can't give a detailed answer on this as I've never used the t:dataScroller before. How does the generated HTML output look like? You could play a bit with CSS to align out the positioning. Does it maybe help if you add the <h:outputText value="#{PageIndex} of #{PageCount}"/> to the first facet?
E.g.
<f:facet name="previous">
    <h:panelGroup>
        <h:outputText value="Previous Page"/>
        <h:outputText value="#{PageIndex} of #{PageCount}"/>
    </h:panelGroup>
</f:facet>
<f:facet name="next"><h:outputText value="Next Page"/></f:facet>

  • Silver Combo Box Display Style Bug

    [LV2011, Windows XP]
    There appears to be a small bug with the Silver-style Combo Box control when you right-click and select Visible Items->Display Style.  For the string control a glyph appears properly, but for the combo box the glyph appears in the wrong place, and the colours are wrong.  In fact, the glyph only appears properly if you click on it, or do something else to force a redraw of the control.
    This combo box is a bit confusing, since it has no "Radix Shadow" part like the string control does, and in fact only the Silver-style combo box lets you display the "Display Type" glyph.  The other styles of combo box have no "Display Type" feature in the "Visible Items" menu, but the "Display Style Visible" checkbox does appear on the "Appearance" tab of the Properties dialog box (though checking it has no effect, and it appears unchecked if you re-launch the dialog box".
    I've attached a new version of the control which is close to fixing the bug, but the glyph region is 1 pixel skinnier than the string version.  Copy this to your "..\vi.lib\silver_ctls\String" folder if you want it to replace the version in the palettes.

    Good catch, there is now a Corrective Action Request filed for this issue. It is correct that this property is
    not supported by the Combo Box found in the Modern Palette. However, this should at least be documented in the
    "Display Style Visible" property documentation if this is case, which it is not.
    Thanks for alerting us to this error and if you would like to follow the CAR, look for CAR# 312717 listed in
    bug fix reports for later releases of LabVIEW.
    Please let me know if you have any questions or need any more help with this issue.

  • CSS Styles not displayed properly in design view - SOLVED (not 'Display Styles')

    For several weeks, I've been troubleshooting the issue of CSS
    and inline styles not being displayed properly when in Dreamweaver
    CS3 design view, and checking in to the forums occassionally to see
    if there was a solution other than making sure "Display Styles" was
    selected under View -> Style Rendering (it was, and still
    nothing would display properly!).
    After much frustration, I may have found the solution to
    those still experiencing the issue even after "Display Styles" is
    appropriately checked. I went in to my master template for the
    site, and found an erroneous <br> tag after the <link
    href> for the stylesheet, which I must have inadvertantly
    inserted when I added the code for the site's favicon. (You get so
    used to Shift-Enter in layout mode, it's almost automatic,
    regardless of what pane your in.) I can't believe I missed this
    before! Deleting the erroneous tag cleaned up the whole
    site.

    I had the same thing happen to me. After hours of trouble
    shooting I found a bit of inappropriate code left in the HTML.
    Cleaned that up and all is good. Seems like it is often something
    so simple. Guess that is why it is so maddening when i can't figure
    it out!

  • PrE9-Video Track Display Styles on Timeline

    Could someone please explain why in PrE9 on Timeline there are four Track Display Styles. What is the practical reason for this?

    As Ted states, each has a plus, but most come with a minus, i.e. display re-draw of the thumbnails.
    I'll normally set that display to First Frame, or to None, once I get into the real editing of the Project.
    All is good to start, when one has longer Clips, with "scenes" in it. As the thumbnail display is just an emulation, one still probably needs to use the Program Monitor, and the Frame tick marks on the Time Ruler, to get to the exact Frame, where they would want to Cut. I will use the All thumbnails as a rough locator, and then the arrow cursor keys to jog to the exact Frame for my Cuts.
    If an editor uses the Source Monitor to Trim their Clips with IN & OUT Points, and then just drag instances of that Clip to the Timeline, they probably will not rely on thumbnails at all, and the None, with just the Clip Name will be good enough.
    As with many operations, PrE offers several ways to do things, depending on how the user likes to work, or to provide the workflow that suits them best.
    Good luck,

  • Dreamweaver CS3 freezes when "Display Styles" is on

    Hi guys, I hope you can help me here. Recently I changed computers and am now experiencing this problem with all the webpages I work with. When I open a page, everything seems fine until I click in either the code view or design view, then it freezes with no error message. I then have to close the program through the task manager.
    If I go to View > Style Rendering, then turn off Display Styles, then everything works great, but it just doesn't looke right. When I turn it back on it freezes again.
    I think that this has something to do with the CSS files, but I don't know much about this. If it helps to see the pages, they are at www.iscatech.com.
    Thank you in advance.

    Brett,
    Hi guys, I hope you can help me here. Recently I changed computers and am now experiencing this problem with all the webpages I work with. I looked at your web page. First of all there is some duplicated markup in the <head>. That's probably not your problem, but your page will load faster and more predictably if you clean that up.
    I opened StyleSheet.css. It has a set of styles that are duplicated 39 (not a typo: thirty nine) times! Have you waited to see if DW eventually loads your page? It could just be taking it a long time to process that 147KB file. Try removing the duplicate styles.
    I don't have CS3 anymore, but I can open it in CS4.
    With that said, it's still possible that you may have a style (or combination of styles) that is causing CS3 to hang. Try using the binary process of elimination to isolate the CSS rules. In other words:
    1. Comment out half of your existing styles
    2. Restart DW
    3. If it hangs, go to step #1
    4. If it does not hang, continue
    5. Un-comment half of the styles you commented out in the previous iteration
    6. Go to Step #2
    Repeat until you have it isolated to the minimum number of rules.

  • Dreamweaver cc unusably slow with CSS or Display Styles

    Dreamweaver cc 2014.1.1 6982 build is so slow I can no longer use it. Running 10.10.2 on a 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 iMac with 16gb and Dreamweaver has so much delay between when you click or type and something happening. I have found that if you don't use any css it is fine and if you turn off Display Styles it also speeds it up. However not having these make using dreamweaver pretty pointless.
    Now going to have to go back to CS6 or use a different program completely.

    A lot of people are using CC successfully.  Everyone's system is different.   Slowness can be caused by various things including but not limited to:
    network drives,
    backup software,
    anti-virus software,
    GA Tracking code,
    null protocol links // to scripts on 3rd party servers like Typekit.
    Google Ads,
    CSS @import,
    code validation errors
    If none of the above are relevant, try Deleting Corrupted Cache in DW
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/494811
    If that doesn't help, try Restore Preferences
    http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/restore-preferences-dreamweaver-cs4-cs5.html
    If all else fails, use the CC Cleaner Tools below followed by a software re-install.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
    Also ensure that you have Java SE 6 runtime.  Yosemite ships with 8 but that won't help you with DW.

  • Using IFRAME in JSF to display a PDF file

    2 all,
    How do i display a PDF file inside a JSF page in a IFRAME tag?
    I store the PDF file location (like d:\images\pdf1.pdf) in my database. I cant give this location directly into the src attribute cos then the file will be rendered to only users who have access to that folder (the application is a internet application). IFRAME would be ideal as the display is very very neat (esp for pdf files).
    To get this working i tried the examples given in balusc blogs (on image servlet) but the problem is that my servlet is not getting called. Find below the web.xml and imageDisplay.jsp pages that i tried

    okay let me post the modified code for my image servlet here
    public class ImageServlet extends HttpServlet {
         private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L;
         public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) {
            // Define base path somehow. You can define it as init-param of the servlet.
    //        String imageFilePath = "/images";
            // In a Windows environment with the Applicationserver running on the
            // c: volume, the above path is exactly the same as "c:\images".
            // In UNIX, it is just straightforward "/images".
            // If you have stored images in the WebContent of a WAR, for example in the
            // "/WEB-INF/images" folder, then you can retrieve the absolute path by:
            // String imageFilePath = getServletContext().getRealPath("/WEB-INF/images");
            // Get file name from request.
            String imageFileName = request.getParameter("file");
            System.out.println("Inside the image servlet ---->>>> " + imageFileName);
            // Check if file name is supplied to the request.

    I haven't solved problem yet but so far I realised this:
    - the problem is that both menu.jsp and content.jsp have forms, with tags: <h:form formName="form1" id="form1">.
    I've tried renaming form and id, but it didn't worked, alo tried changing scope of managed beans for the two inserted jsp pages - still nothing.
    - also if the content.jsp is not containing form but other JSF components like Image or Hyperlink, that components are not being shown/rendered.

  • JSF keeps displaying old values after Validation Phase fails

    Hi all,
    I would like to ask some help in understanding a particular behaviour that JSF shows when Validation Phase fails.
    I'm using:
    - Tomcat 7.0.2
    - JSF 1.2_12
    - RichFaces 3.3.3
    Problem description.
    I wrote a form with 4 input fields: an inputText and 3 selectOneMenu. The inputText is required while the selectOneMenus don't require any validation.
    Attached to the first selectOneMenu (row 32), is an a4j:support tag so that, whenever the change event is fired, the list of items of the second
    and the third selectOneMenu (row 44 and 58) are correctly filled (note that the mandatory of the inputText is ignored thanks to the ajaxSingle attribute).
    In particular, after loading the two lists of items, the actionListener forces the value of the second and the third selectOneMenu to null.
    This mechanism seems to work fine until I submit the whole form without filling the input text: as expected, JSF validation fails but if I change the value of
    the first selectOneMenu again (causing a new submit), the page keeps displaying the values specified before JSF validation failed for the second and the third
    selectOneMenu (note that the actionListener is still called and the values of the second and the third selectOneMenu are still forced to null).
    Since I'm using a simple PhaseListener, I noticed the following: before JSF validation fails, every time I change the value of the first selectOneMenu, JSF life
    cycle always calls the get method for the second and the third selectOneMenu during the Render Response Phase. In this way, JSF is able to "see" that
    those values have been set to null during the Invoke Application Phase.
    After validation fails, JSF stops calling those getters when I change the value of the first selectOneMenu.
    I hope my explanation was clear enough, thanks a lot for your help.
    Regards,
    Nico

    I'm thinking this has to do with the fact that the UIComponents use the localValue after validation fails. This prevents the values from being overwritten when re-rendering the page, i.e. the inputs keep the value set by the user.
    The solution is to manipulate the components directly during the AJAX request when the first pull down is changed. Use the binding attribute to place them into your bean and clear the value directly. That way it will not matter that the expression is not evaluated.

  • JSF pages displaying very slowly?

    As we are moving into production, I'm noticing the JSF-based web pages are displaying / painting on the screen very slow in some cases - especially the menus and graphical buttons. Has anyone else experienced this and are there any suggested performance improvements?
    Once a page is accessed once, the next time it is accessed performance is much better due to caching. I would like to try to use afc:cache around the menu items and graphic buttons, but have a question about this - if for example a command button has setActionListeners with EL bindings, is it possible to use afc:cache (my concern is the same binding values will be cached or shared across different user sessions - see below for example).
    <af:commandButton id="cmdSearch"
    actionListener="#{bindings.FindMethod.execute}"
    text="Search">
    <af:setActionListener from="#{backing_bean1.keywordSearchCriteria}"
    to="#{bindings.keywords.inputValue}"/>
    </af:commandButton>

    Hi,
    don't think that this snippet gets cached because it dynamically references data that is not part of the page.

  • Display style of JTree

    Can we display JTree in top-down form rather than left-right (explorer) form?

    Hi,
    What web part do you use? Or is it a custom web part?
    If there is no such OOTB feature can modify the style, a workaround is using custom CSS code to implement your own custom style for it. With custom CSS, we will be
    able to achieve more complex styles.

  • JSF component displaying incorrectly

    I have a problem when i run my jsf application. The components don't display correctly. For instance, a button that is suppose to have the rounded edges and hint of blue color show up like a normal sqaure gray button. This only happens on my computer though. If someone else logs onto my jsf page from their computer the button displays correctly. What am i missing?
    Thanks
    Dave

    I am using jsf components from JSF Core library. Yes I cleared the cache several times and it still happens. I am using Firefox version 2.0.0.6 and IE version 6.0. Do I need to update to IE version 7? I wouldn't assume so since others that have version 6 see components correctly.
    Thanks for you help. Sorry my question is vague. I could give you more detail but i don't know which detail is relevant to my problem. Maybe thats part of my question... What settings and configurations could cause this. Should I be looking into JRE version (which is 1.6)?
    Thanks

  • Myfaces, tomahawk, jsf sun

    Hello,
    what is the relationship between myfaces and tomahawk. And if i want to develop a myfaces app do i have to use jsf sun components?
    thanks

    Hello,
    what is the relationship between myfaces and
    tomahawk. And if i want to develop a myfaces app do i
    have to use jsf sun components?
    thanksFrom http://myfaces.apache.org/tomahawk/
    In addition to custom components not found in the JSF specification, the MyFaces components bundle also includes an "extended" version of some of the default components. These are basically components that exist in either the core or html tag libraries but additional functionality has been addded that goes beyond the specification.
    Summarized: MyFaces implements JSF spec and Tomahawk goes beyond JSF spec.

  • Pagination Displaying Count of Total Records available and Current Page

    Hi,
    I need to implement paging in one of our pages.
    The problem is we need to display the count of total number of records the search has resulted and the search results that fall into the current page.
    For e.g. If the search resulted in 100 records total and we are in page 5 (with 10 records per page), I need to display the count 100 on the top and records 51-50 in the page.
    How to get the count of fetched results without running a second SELECT COUNT(1) FROM ... clause.
    Is there a way to do this in a optimized way?
    Thanks

  • JSF 1.2 style facelets custom tags in JSF 2.0

    Ahoy.
    Using facelets with JSF 1.2, one could create a custom tag in an xhtml file along the lines of:
    labelledInput.xhtml:
    <ui:component>
        <h:outputLabel value="#{label}: ">
            <h:inputText value="#{value}"/>
        </h:outputLabel>
    </ui:component>
    ...You could register it in faces-config.xml or somewhere and then use it with <custom:labeledInput label="Type Something: " value="#{bean.value}"/>.
    Alternatively, one could use <ui:composition> instead of <ui:component> in which case the tag wouldn't be considered as a component.
    I think it could possibly be done with composite components, but they're not quite the same, and their documentation is pretty limited (at least until some of the books come out this year).
    I want to use these more as shortcuts to reduce code duplication rather than adding functionality and they seemed to work well in the past for this.
    If they can't be used, is there a way of creating a composite component that doesn't act as a component?
    In particular, I want to make a tag that contains two components:
    - a label
    - a panel group containing an input and a message for that input
    Then I can add a bunch of these to a 2-column panel grid for a nicely formatted form. Doing it with composite components forces each tag to be a single component, which I don't want. Old-facelets <ui:composition> based tags would let me do this (I think.)
