Toolbox is too small - any way to resize?

Does anyone know of any way, or of a plugin, to resize the toolbox (and the other panels, for that matter - I'm talking about enlarging panel content, the icons etc., for easier viewing, not just expanding the panels themselves).  The icons are so tiny and many are so complexly and uncomprendingly drawn, it's difficult to differentiate between them.  Everyone I talk to agrees.  Aren't there any developers at Adobe who are over 40?!  Integrating an option for large panel views would be great, Adobe.
Thanks for anyone's help.

Thanks for replying, everyone.  Working with the accessibility zoom options is a workaround, but not at all practical or efficiient, requires either constant 2-handed toggling, or adjusting all the now-magnified panels and windows to fit a cropped screen.  I don't need EVERYTHING magnified.  I guess the best solution would be for Adobe to build into the software the ability to resize the toobox - such as by dragging a corner - which I don't believe would be difficult for them.

  • 3D models imported from U3D show in small window in the middle of document. Any way to resize this?

When I open U3D file with acrobat, it turns 3D into document. Problem, however, is that size of the area where model is shown, is too small and fixed in dimensions.
If I recall correctly, Acrobat 9 automatically resized 3D area to whole window size. Acrobat X, however doesn't do this.
There's no image handles or anything to fix this neither. I went through properties/3D options and nothing there also.
    What to do?

If you are converting a U3D file into a new PDF file, then the annotation fits the entire page but it is set to open at "100%" scaling and usually that's quite small - so you simply need to change the initial view > magnification settings under File > Properties.
If you're placing a U3D file into an existing document, the size of the annotation is fixed on the page at author time.

  • Wiki displaying too little - Any way to make it wider?

We've just begun to make use of the wiki.  The pages that we are creating currently are "behaving" as though they're in portrait view, with wide margins and the "Recent Documents", "Notifications", and "History" taking up a lot of valuable real estate on the screen.  Is there any way to increase the width of the wiki's page itself to be more of a Landscape view?  We need to fit things that are relatively wide but not exceptionally tall on a single viewable screen, without scroll bars.  Any help would be MOST appreciated!

Because.... why not?  This doesn't require modifying anything on disk.
    (Yes, it's a rainbow-flashing three button dialog.)

  • I set all audio gain too low - any way to up it for an entire project quickly?

I have been working on a project and have been setting the audio gain levels a little too low during edit. It's a lengthy project and I wondered if there was an easy way to en mass up all the gain levels at once.
The Matser mixer slider is already high - so I wondered if it was advisable to maybe select ALL audio at once and use the normal Audio Gain right click menu to say up ALL at once?
Is there a better way to do this - will this work?
    Thanks in advance.

    Lots of ways,
Add a volume effect to the master fader in the track mixer.
The one I would use would be a dynamics effect, added, once again in the effects section of the master fader. Use the gain make-up control in the compressor to make it louder and set the limiter control to -2db to catch any peaks.

  • Customizer Dialog size too small and cannot be resized

    Hi,
I've written a CUSTOMIZER for a bean. It contains a table and three buttons. I have set the headers for the table.
I've included the bean in my project. When i open the customizer for this bean by clicking on the Customizer button in the property palette, it displays a small
JEWT dialog . It doesnt display the acutal size of the table. I cannot see the contents of the table because it cannot be resized .
Any ideas? Please suggest on how to resize the dialog displayed by the Customizer and how to make it dockable.
    Thanks

As a temporary workaround, you can block website scripts from resizing windows. It's a bit of a sledgehammer, but another user who has this problem indicated that it does stop the SmarterMail script from rolling up the window.
    Here's how:
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''dom''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click the '''dom.disable_window_move_resize''' preference to switch it from false to true.

  • Any way to resize the "text" toolbar on the right side of the Pages app?

I'm a pretty recent convert to Macs. I've been using a PC for a long time, so most of my experience with word processors is with Microsoft Word. I like that Word allows you to edit your files in a 'Print View' layout, which lets you see the entirety of the document. Unfortunately, Pages seems to not permit this view. Is there a way to diminish the size of the "text" toolbar (right side) in Pages so that the user can see a 'print view' of the document?
    Thanks a lot.

Pages is permanently in "Print View", What You See Is What You Get.
The scale of the document is set by the percentage menu top left of the Toolbar on the window
The Format side panel is fixed in width.
Your problem really is that the screen on your Macbook Air is relavely small and the Format sidebar in Pages 5 is permanently large. You can hide the Format panel by clicking on the Paintbrush or Document icon, depending on which is already selected.
On my iMac 27" I have plenty of room to see a 150% view of a page with the Format panel showing, but obviously on your small screen this is not possible. You very likely would need to view the page at 75% or less.

  • Is there any way to resize videos that were done in a larger format?

I recently took several videos and didn't realize that in order to send them, I had to change the size to QVGA. After several frustrating attempts to send by phone and email, I gave up.  My question is this:  Is there anyway to downsize a video after it is recorded in a larger format?  I tried video editing apps and they didn't work at all as far as resizing. Any help will be appreciated as these videos cannot be redone. Thank you.

  • Any way to resize artboard and have it adjust the coordinates so bottom left corner is 0,0?

That may have been too wordy of a question.
I've noticed that when I resize the artboard of my document the coordinates don't update with it. 0,0 which for me is always good in the bottom left corner now becomes some spot in the region. The bottom left corner becomes -344,-555. This doesn't work for me.
So far when I'm faced with this I just make a new document with the new size I want, but it gets old.

    Thanks for the explanation
Which is why X being on the L/R axis is always on the left corner anyway... And Y being on the Top to Bottom is always on the bottom...PIA

  • Is there any way to fix a project recorded in the wrong resolution without redoing?

Is there any way to resize a project once it has been recorded so that it fits on the screen?  The person who recorded the project set the resolution at 1280 X 774 pixels and it's too large to see the entire project on the screen...you have to keep panning back and forth.  I am hoping we don't have to have him rerecord the entire project.

    Hi there
Try clicking Project > Rescale and scaling the project to be a smaller size.
Note that you probably want to leave the "Maintain aspect ratio" option selected (you are welcome Lilybiri )
Additionally, note that rescaling will inevitably result in a loss of fidelity. Things just begin to fuzzy up when you do that. The degree to which it suffers is in direct proportion to how much scaling you wish to do.
As a final note, you only really want to ever rescale a project once. So if you aren't sure about the final outcome, click File > Save As and rescale. Look at it. LIke it? Terrific! Keep it! Don't like it so much? Scrap it and open the original again. Then again click File > Save As...
Rinse and repeat as necessary... Rick

Yep, your home partition is directly after the root partition, so what I suggested should work, however, give good consideration to the size of each, considering you don't have another drive (according to df) to use for storage. Personally, I only have 12GB on my home partition (after resizing) and now have 23GB on root.
