Toolbox log with errors

The Toolbox did it's monthly hardware check today. The following errors were logged. Please help me understand what they mean and how to fix them. Thanks.
I am running WinVista x64 Ultimate on a Thinkpad W700ds with a solid state hard disk (which means it may not be an ATA device).

A message appeared to upgrade to 6.0.5514.60 from 6.05514.55.  "Upgrade in progress" was on the screen and a message box canme on that asked to download the upgrade.  Then it came back with the message "Connection lost".  I retried this a few times making sure i was on line with IE8-it was throuch Access Connection. Norton 360 is the virus protection, which was turned off to see if it would allow the upgrade -  no change in the messsage.  TP is 6371-CTO, T60, Windows Vista Home Premium with latest updates,  32  bit. 2 gb
Does anyone have an idea of how to have it update PC Doctor, which has been working fine at version6. xxx.55.
If it ain't broke, don't mess with it!
Here are the details of the error message about "lost connection"

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging

    I thought the red colour doesn't mean any good.
    You're viewing the log in a third-party application. The red color represents the developer's opinion as to the importance of the message. You'd have to take that up with him or her.
    Why then this message at all?
    That message is normal when the source volume has been unmounted since the last snapshot was taken, and perhaps under other conditions.
    If you overread your logs and search for an explanation for every cryptic message, you'll quickly lose your sanity. Log messages are only significant in the context of solving a problem.

  • Push notification service fills the system log with errors

    When I have the push notification service enabled, my system logs become filled with messages such as this:
    Sep 8 22:54:54 xserve jabberd/c2s[2175]: [7] [::ffff:192.168.1.100, port=50064] connect
    Sep 8 22:54:54 xserve jabberd/c2s[2175]: [7] [::ffff:192.168.1.100, port=50064] disconnect jid=unbound, packets: 0
    They occur at a rate of about two every second. What does that message mean and how do I stop it?

    When I took a look at push notification, I noticed that it was listening to a different port than what dovecot had been configured to use.(jabberd was set to listen to 5347, while Dovecot (email) was using the standard 5222 port for that open protocol. Not sure what the ichat server is set to use.
    Eventually, I did manage to get it working by updating the push notification config to listen to 5222. But it made no real difference because thunderbird and mail.app prefer imap updatings instead of push notification. So I turned it off.
    Not sure if this is of any help to you.

    Log Message:
    Bug: BLZ-93 - When a producer sends a message to a secure destination with no credentials it causes a security exception to get logged with a log level of error.
    QA: Yes
    Doc: No
    Details:
    Updates to catch-all exception logging hinge points on the server to use a new method on MessageException that protects against repeat logging of the same exception as we unwind the call stack on the server, as well as allowing exception subclasses to control the log level, intro text and inclusion of a full stack trace in the logged output. This allows things like SecurityExceptions, which represent common errors like incorrect user credentials, to avoid polluting the log with error-level logging and stack traces. It also consolidates our catch-all handling for MessageExceptions and their subclasses in a single point, avoiding problems with needing to make updates or tweaks to our logging output in multiple places.

    One thing I forgot to add, which may be causing you
    problems: the "mount volume" command is not part of
    the Finder dictionary. It stands alone.

    I tried the mount command. After executing it in Script Editor, I was prompted with login and password, but it was my Keychain!
    I don't know if you have your keychain unlocked or what else..
    Maybe the original poster (Rick Anderson) has his keychain locked and the prompt is from it.
    Just a guess...

  • Open task sequence log with cmtrace on error

    Hi,
    Is there a way to make an SCCM 2012 R2 task sequence automatically open the smsts.log (with  cmtrace) when an error occurs?
    J.
    Jan Hoedt

    I would agree with Torstren. The difficult piece would be determining where the smsts.log is, based on where its at in the task sequence. Once you have that it wouldn't be too difficult to place those steps in the
    Gather Logs and StateStore on Failure group. The catch will be, even if CMTrace is open, the machine will still reboot after 15 minutes unless the cmd prompt is also open.

  • DML Error logging with delete restrict

    Hi,
    I am trying to log all DML errors while performing ETL process. We encountered a problem in the process when one of the on delete cascade is missing in child tables but I was curious to know why we got that exception to the calling environment because we are logging all DML errors in err$_ tables. Our expectation is when we get child record found violation then that error will be logged into ERR$_ tables and process will carry on without any interruption but it interrupted in the middle and terminated. I can illustrate with below example
    T1 -> T2 -> T3
    T1 is parent and it is s root
    Create table t1 (id number primary key, id2 number);
    Create table t2(id number references t1(id) on delete cascade, id2 number);
    create table t3 (id number references t2(id)); -- Missing on delete cascade
    insert into t1 as select level, level from dual connect by level < 20;
    insert into t2 as select level, level from dual connect by level < 20;
    insert into t3 as select level from dual connect by level < 20;
    exec dbms_errlog(t1);
    exec dbms_errlog(t2);
    exec dbms_errlog(t3);
    delete from t1 where id = 1 log errors into err$_t1 reject limit unlimited;   -- Child record found violation due to t3 raised but I am expecting this error will be trapped in log tables.
    delete from t2 where id =1 log errors into err$_t2 reject limit unlimited; -- Got the same error child record violation. My expectation error will be logged into log tables.
    I am using Oracle 11gR2.
    Also, Please let me know if there is any restrictions to use DML error logging in DBMS_PARALLEL_EXECUTE.
    Please advise
    Thanks,
    Umakanth

    What is the error you want me to fix? Missing on delete cascade?
    The Code you posted has multiple syntax errors and can't possibly run. You should post code that actually works.
    My expectation is all the DML errors will be logged into error logging tables even if it is child record found violation.
    delete from t1 where id = 1 log errors into err$_t1 reject limit unlimited;  -- Child record found violation due to t3 raised but I am expecting this error will be trapped in log tables.
    delete from t2 where id =1 log errors into err$_t2 reject limit unlimited; -- Got the same error child record violation. My expectation error will be logged into log tables.
    DML error logging logs DATA. When you delete from T1 there is an error because the T2 child record can NOT be deleted. So the T1 row that was being deleted is logged into the T1 error log table. The request was to delete a T1 row so that is the only request that failed; the child rows in T2 and T3 will not be put into log tables.
    Same when you try to delete from T2. The T3 child record can NOT be deleted so the T2 row that was being deleted is logged into the T2 error log table.
    The exceptions that occur are NOT logged, only the data that the DML could not be performed on.
    After I fixed your code your example worked fine for me and logged into the DML error tables as expected. But I wasn't doing it from a client.

    No, it does not.  It transfers purchases from the iDevice to the computer.  The computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that the content was acquired with.

    Are they selected to sync?  Is Manually Manage content on the device selected?

    What does that have to do with syncing content to the device?  FYI, nothing.

  • Error message when trying to log with more than a mobile account

    Hi guys,
    I face a very strange and worrying problem : when I log with a mobile account against my Snow Leopard Server, it works. But when I try to log with a second mobile using fast user switching, I have a strange error message saying that I can't connect with this user "at the moment". Once I log off from the first mobile account, I can log with the second one...
    It is as if it is not possible to have two or more mobile/network accounts logged simultaneously on the same client. Is this a known problem ?
    Thanks for your help,
    Eric.

    By design or not, this is a flaw, and a huge one ! I wanted to set up my home network so that each member of my family has a portable account. But this stupid design decision makes it impossible, since it makes impossible to have two or more users logged at the same time on a computer. So each time a member of my family wants to log on the family iMac, they have first to ask the previous logged member to log out !
    How is that not a flawed design ? I don't even see what are the pros of that design decision ?

  • Check Event Alert failed with error - No errors in the log file.

    Hi All,
    I am developing a simple event based alert on PO_HEADERS table. I want to send alerts when a PO is created.
    I did all the steps according to the metalink note How To Send An Email In A Simple Periodic Or Event Alert? [ID 1162153.1]
    When i create the PO, the alert is triggering, and Check Event Alert concurrent program is running. But the program completes with error.
    Checking the output file (empty) log file (no errors)
    What can i do here to find out what is the problem? There is nothing in the Alert Manager - History form also. I have kept 7 days as days to keep.
    Thanks!
    M

    Can you find any details about the error from the "View Detail" button (the same window where you check the log and output files)?
    I found the Workflow logs, I am not sure what I am looking for, but i am not seeing any errors reported.The event viewer is supposed to send an email, so do you see anything in the logs that could be related?
    Thanks,
    Hussein

  • Error handling / logging with asynchronous calls

    Hi,
    I want to log every error my app might throw. I thought it would be sufficient to surround either the launch method or the start method with a try...catch. But it doesn't work as excepted.
    If an error occurs in an asynchronous call, e.g. in a button click, the exception is never caught.
    Do you have an idea, how to solve this?
    Example:
    import javafx.application.Application;
    import javafx.event.ActionEvent;
    import javafx.event.EventHandler;
    import javafx.scene.Scene;
    import javafx.scene.control.Button;
    import javafx.scene.layout.VBox;
    import javafx.stage.Stage;
    public class TestApp4 extends Application {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            launch(args);
        public void start(final Stage stage) throws Exception {
            try {
                final VBox root = new VBox();
                Button button = new Button("Click");
                button.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {
                    @Override
                    public void handle(ActionEvent actionEvent) {
                        int i = 0;
                        int a = 5 / i;
                root.getChildren().add(button);
                Scene scene = new Scene(root);
                stage.setScene(scene);
                stage.show();
            } catch (Exception e) {
                // do logging here
                e.printStackTrace();
    }

    I'm not 100% sure how it works, but what I am pretty sure is that these Exceptions in EventHandlers are caught by JavaFX itself inside the JavaFX thread. They have to, because if they let the exception bubble up to the top, the FX thread would end (and with it, all response in the UI). It is probably caught at the level where Events are triggered somewhere (my guess is inside the QuantumToolKit).
    Anyway, these exceptions are printed to System.err -- if you can redirect that stream to a log file or whatever you can have them all in one place. The error stream can be set in your application simply by calling System.setErr().
    Note also that exceptions occuring in a Task are stored in the exception property -- sometimes these can be hard to find as they are put there silently -- you'll need to check your Tasks for exceptions and print them.

  • System.log filling with error messages

    After SL update my system.log if filling with error messages.
    Does any process delete the system.log periodically?
    What's causing this error? Getting thousands of them.

    Yes. There are three automatic jobs that run daily, weekly, and monthly doing this sort of thing. They run in the early hours of the morning if your Mac is awake, or shortly after it wakes up if it was sleeping. In Leopard, if it was powered-off, they won't run; I don't know if it's the same in Snow.

  • Client install fails with Error 0x87d00280 on ccmsetup log file

    CAS and Primary Server are on Server 2012 R2, Clients are Win 7 and Server 2008 R2 in
    same Domain. Primary Server has DP and MP installed, I can successfully install client from my Primary Server through Client Push Installation. I don't see any errors on SCCM Console.
    On the client side I can see C:\Windows\ccmsetup\ccmsetup.exe is installed and the "ccmsetup"
    Service is not in running status.
    When I checked the ccmsetup log file, the latest error message says - Have already tried all
    MPs, Couldn't find DP locations. Also another line says - The Certificate Selection Criteria was not specified. There are no Certificates in "MY" store.
    Do I need to install self signed Certificate through MMC snap-ins, DNS issue or I am missing
    something, Please help!

    is your MP set to https ? seems like its certificates issue. You can go through the documentation
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682023.aspx? on how to setup PKI in sccm 2012 to check if you have created certificates as needed .
    this might help you http://jackstromberg.com/2014/09/system-center-2012-r2-configuration-manager-ccmsetup-failed-with-error-code-0x87d00280/

    Put your logic inside the FM and execute in in background task mode on your action button .
    call function 'Function module name' in background task
    exporting
       parameter =
    importing
       ret =
    refer the below link for more detail on executing FM as  background task

  • AllOnl + Log with Verify endes with error

    Hi!
    We would to set up a online backup + redo logs with the verification function for SAP ERP (EHP4) system.
    By doing so we get a error within verification part of redo logs because of following RMAN commando.
    > BR0278E Command output of 'E:\oracle\<sid>\102\BIN\rman nocatalog':
    Unfortunately we do not need some RMAN checks.
    Question
    Is there some parameters in the init<sid>.sap that can remove this rman check within verifcation?
    Thank you!

    Can you check the value of backup_dev_type?
    How does your full brbackup command line look?
    Cheers Michael
