Top N suggestion

Question

I am going to display Top N suppiliers in my report.
Instead setting the Edit box prompt where the user will be able to plug in the 'N' value, I want to create a drop down that shows 'top 5', 'top 10', 'top 15'
I am even able to set that in the db prompt by writing a case stmt some thing like this... case when 1=0 then column1 else 'Top 5' when 1=0 then 'Top 10'.
now the problem once they select Top 5 in the db prompt, it has to resolve into value 5 in the report.
In my report i have the filter condition saying rank(amt)<presentationvariable value
So now that presentation variable value should resolve the values of Top 5, Top 10 to 5 and 10 respectively. I tried to write case statements and create sub report but it didnt wrk
Any pointers here?

Do this:
1) Instead of the LOVs being "Top 5," "Top 10," etc., label the dashboard prompt, "Top: " and have the dashboard prompt values be simply 5, 10, 15, etc. and save it to a pv called pv_rank
2) Now in your report, rank the appropriate column. Put a filter on this column "less than or equal to" @{pv_rank}
