I want to use firefox on my toshiba folio 100. That has android version 2.x installed. But when i click on the download bottom firefox for android, nottng happens
It has 16 gb internal mem

Even on some compatible devices, a bug prevents Firefox from appearing in the Market. This may be related to the recent Market update. On these devices, you can download the app directly from here using the Android browser:

  • Skype on folio 100 toshiba android doesn't work

how can i install skype on my folio 100 toshiba

Thanks everyone for flagging this. Our product team is looking into this.
Looks like currently all problem reports are from users on Android 5.x: Can you check the app permissions if there might be restricted access to 3G for the Skype application? I'm not too familiar with Android 5 yet, but there might be granular app permissions for network access 3G versus WiFi.

  • Toshiba AT 100 Tablet - Power light on but cant turn on or off

I have a tablet that has been working fine since new. Just today it went to sleep while on charge. The power light and battery lights are both on and white. I cant get the power button to turn off or back on again. the screen is black.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what might help?

    Dear Sallyamci,
most certainly you either solved your problem or sent your tablet back in the past weeks. But I just wanted to tell what I experienced with the Toshiba AT200 (different tablet I know). Perhaps it is of help for someone.
What I have experienced could be described of a stall of the android OS. On a PC you would press the Reset Button or turn off/on the system. On a smartphone you might remove the accumulator to force the system being reset. This is not possible on the AT200 (and I'm unsure about the accumulator in the AT100).
My AT200 recently went black (or did not return from stand by) while in use. In my case the lights weren't on and also did not go on when connecting the power supply.
I put the tablet back into the box planning to bring it back to the dealer on the next day. In the evening I took the tablet back out the box (for one last try) just to recognize that it was warm so I thought it was still running.
The next morning the power led lit when I connected the power supply. And after some time (30min) the tablet could be switched on again.
So probably the battery drained during the night forcing the tablet to turn off (hopefully before the battery was completely empty). That led to a reset.
So one could leave the tablet alone (with no power supply connected) in such case and hope that after some hours (or at most some days if it really was in standby) the low battery forces a power off.
If there's any hard reset possibility (hidden switches) for the tablets I would be happy to know about it. Just in case this happens again.

  • Toshiba NB 100 sound disfunctioning

    Hi,
When the computer is restarted the windows sound can barely be heard. Volume is turned up full. Sound from 3rd party software works at random times. Under sound settings in the control panel,  under the volume tab, speaker settings has been changed from desktop speakers, to no speakers to mono laptop speakers. I'm not sure what the default should be. The os is Windows xp. There are two options in the 3rd party software: to use Realtek HD audio output or the Primary sound capture Driver. I would appreciate any information to fix the disfunctioning of the sound.
    thanks,
    Jen11

    Hello
I don't have experience with this netbook but Ive checked all WXP drivers and tools and what you can try is to reinstall Toshiba Hotkey utility. On most WXP preinstalled notebooks Common modules is available and this tool is important for FN keys functionality but for this netbook it is not available.
    Try with Hotkeys utility.

  • Toshiba 5200/100 - CMOS battery replacement to get floppy drive working

Unit still working fine, under Windows 3.1.
Startup now, by setting time & date (CMOS battery).
However, recently the Floppy drive is NOT coming "ready".
Would it help to replace the CMOS battery to get the Floppy Drive working again ?
Pls. advise. Any advise welcome. T.I.A.
    Nap - Gent - Belgium

    Hi
CMOS battery is needed to keep the BIOS settings saved.
It looks like the CMOS battery is empty if you need to set the date and time always in the BIOS settings. But the CMOS battery has nothing to do with the floppy drive.

  • Needs help in creating Toshiba XP recovery cd to USB flash drive(stick)

    Hello,
    I am using a Toshiba netbook 100
Operating system - XP home Edition.
    No optical drive included.
    There's extra hardrive in netbook
I need help how to create a
Toshiba XP recovery CD to USB flash.
(this file is big-- 7.7GB !!)
the primary boot order is set to USB Memory
There is a guide at this link
    http://www.gtkdb.de/index_7_544.html
but it is for ubuntu Operating system
and besides it so "techy" for me to understand.
I will be much grateful for a simplified version
I have tried to use some applications
    like:
    - IsotoUSB
    - UNetbootin, Universal Netboot Installer--
    - YUMI (Your Universal Multiboot Installer)..
    - Xboot - Multiboot USB/ISO utility (have not done yet)
I was not successful in creating a recovery CD to USB
    in ISOtoUSB and UNetbootin.
YUMI utility, however, has successfully created a USBflash recovery
but my netbook did not respond.
By the way, I was able to reformat this netbook by using
another XP oem--for temprary reasons as
I cannot extract the XP from Toshiba recovery CD.
I am very grateful if there is some who can
help me how to create a
Toshiba XP recovery CD to USB flash.
    Kind regards

  • Toshiba ME Series - Can't reinstall it

    Hello all you Toshiba Experts!
I hope I'm on the right Forum, if not somebody will probablt let me know!
My problem (like every one else I've got one) is that my Toshiba ME Series laptop seems to be dead!
Suddenly when I started it up, it just told me "MISSING SYSTEM".....!
Now I've had all sorts of warnings and messages over the years, but this one was new!
I thought - never mind, take out the "XPPro Installation Disc" and reinstall the system then pass a few weeks getting it up to date etc...!
PROBLEM..... The CD-Rom disc opens, the CD-Rom gets put in, closed - then it starts with a few turns and then NOTHING....!
In other words, the CD-Rom player won't open the disc - so I can't re-install!
I do have an emergency set of "floppies" which say they will reinstall WIN XP (6 floppies in all) - but at the end of the procedure, it tells me to put the CD-ROM in - which, of course, doesn't work!
The PC IS old, almost as old as myself, but I'm of Scottish origins, and I don't like throwing anything away!
On top of which, I've tried to get a newer portable, but I live in France, and up till now, I haven't been able to find anyone (DELL International included) who can sell me a new one with "QWERTY" keyboard!
They've all got theFrench "AZERTY" keyboard, and I'm too old to learn typing again!
So - what is the advice of the Toshiba masters and wizards out there - Come on - HELP!
Thank you ALL - in advance!

Well - I surely can give you lots of details! Here they ALL are (taken from the back of the PC) -
"Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition" - Product key H8T8Y-HGBMJ-3DTCM-BPHBX-CXRVY
    TOSHIBS S1800-100 - Model No. PS181E-00CE9-DU
(Incidentally - I was given this PC by some Dutch friends, so I suppose that accounts for the letters "DU" in the model No.)
    SERIAL NO. 91536198G SS181-0
There is another "sticker" which I think relates only to the warranty - but here it is as well: TOSHIBA1202-040714-31 - Serial 91536198G
Who knows - maybe this PC is a museum piece! If so - anybody want to have it - in exchange for a BRAND NEW "QWERTY" keyboard Toshiba Portable PC - One time offer!
Thank you for answering anyway, and I hope I'll hear something else from you!

  • Satellite 100-112 is dual (latin/hebrew) or just hebrew letters?

Could someone please tell me wheter the hebrew keyboard for Toshiba Satellite 100-112 is dual (latin/hebrew) or just hebrew letters?

    Hello Dusan
In my opinion the keyboards are country specific and I really dont believe that you will find Hebrew keyboard only but combination of Latin and Hebrew symbols. I saw for example Japanese and Russian keyboards and both of them have had both symbols (Latin symbols are much smaller but allow you to type on English).
I recommend you to contact Toshiba authorized service partner in your country and ask them if they can order one keyboard for you.
The addresses you can find under http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?pf=true
    Good luck!

  • AT300-100 - Connection problems with bluetooth mouse

I am having problems connecting a bluetooth mouse to my toshiba AT300-100 tablet.
The tablet and the mouse are able to successfully pair with each other. The tablet asks for the password, I enter 0000 and the two devices successfully pair up with each other.
I then ensure that the mouse is selected as an input device (click on the mouse settings icon in the Bluetooth screen). I receive no errors at any point. However, there is no mouse pointer on the screen, the mouse buttons have no effect, and the scroll wheel has no effect.
I have Googled and searched this forum, I can not find a reference to this problem elsewhere. Please advise. It appears to be an O/S bug as far as I can tell.
Looking on youtube I see the Asus tablet works fine with a mouse and I am following the exact same procedure. I have used the mouse on my Toshiba tecra with no problems at all, so I know the mouse is working just fine.
Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution?
    Thank you.
    Mark

    Hi
    Did you solve this issue?
Are you abele to use the BT mouse connected to AT300?
In the description of AT300 its mentioned that you can use Virtual Mouse connected via BlueTooth or USB port.
Check the settings in Language & Input Android area.
There should be a point called Keyboard & Input Mouse
If you have more than one installed input device, tap Configure input methods to open the screen where you can configure each input method.

  • What happened with AC series forum?

    Hi,
I cannot find AC series forum. It used to be under LAPTOPS, MINI-NOTEBOOK and TABLET -> Mini Notebook Series -> AC series.
Has it been moved? If yes, where is it now?
    Has it been deleted?
I'm an active AC100 user and this forum is sometimes helpful...
    BR,
    kociu

Aah! So there IS someone who seem to bother about the obvious. Welcome to the club, dear.
That thread got out of order since I posted my first post under the thread related to the new Folio 100 update for Flash. The update that's ,ore like a joke or that seems to goof up with a ridiculousness of such colossal proportions, that it doesnt pisses me anymore.
By now you must have figured that this brand new update actually fails to perform. I mean the Flash part. I wonder if there was any quality check done before releasing the bug infested update.
So now finally someone worries if the thread has been shifted? Well it hasnt. Its sad that no moderator or the authority realizes the meager need of respecting the freedom of speech and to never keep the threads out of order just because it candidly exposes the flaw.
    I was truly ashamed, Toshiba.
Damn, yet I love the beauty that is Folio 100. Please do something to fix it guys. At least try a little.

  • Content Viewer won't update the library

    Hey guys!
    Big trouble here.
After I last updated an uploaded folio, the Content Viewer on the iPad out of the sudden was not recognizing any update on that folio anymore.
So I deleted the folio from the iPad and updated the library. What happened? The folio wasn't even there to download anymore. And yes, it appears on the Folio Producer and it is active.
It's quite a big folio (+100 mb) and I have even uploaded it again with another name and still the Viewer won't show it on the library.
I have tried to upload smaller folios and it worked just fine.
Have no idea what's the problem neither the solution.
    Anyone with the same problem?

Problem resolved, with a bit of help from Adobe Support. It was Websense, our organizations web content filter. This is what I got from Adobe Support, which I sent to the IT guys.
In order for the content viewer on the iPad to work and bypass the network, make sure this two Adobe domain/url is allowed through the network.
