Toshiba lx835-3300
My toshiba lx835-d3300 had a message, problem with c drive. It went thru a count down 1%-100% and then shut down. I pressed the power button to turn it back on and the toshiba innovation screen comes on and seems to be starting but nothing happens. The screen is black. I've unplug the power cord and back in still nothing but a black screen. Please help.

Were you updating anything just before having problems? What happens when you try to start the computer now? Please be very specific as to what, if anything appears on the screen.

My questions is , when I turn the computer on it starts the power up phase and I hear the fan start but nothing comes up on the screen, and then he keeps repeating over and over almost like it doesn't want to start the boot up process of the bios or start up up windows. I know the screen works because when I plug in the power cord it shows in the screen how it's plugged in but the power of the computer ain't turned on. A friend of mine has an all-in-one DX735 which is an older model than yours. We tried opening it but we strongly advise that you 'dont' do this by your own cause its complicated inside. We just did it since it was already way past warranty. The issue we had was just the power button that got stuck and it wont turn on. Well, we called up toshiba support and was referred to Toshiba Repairs at phone number 1-800-438-3910. We were lucky it was just minor repairs and we didnt mess up the insides. I guess its best to go that route. Better be safer than sorrier. Hope this helps! -

External monitor on LX835-D3215
I am looking at buying the LX835-D3215 but I need to use an external monitor and from the research I have done I cannot find a VGA output. Can you confirm that the LX835-D3215 does not support an external monitor.

I have had multiple problems with my Toshiba LX835-D3300 when it comes to pdf files and opening some programs. Twice now it will not open .pdf files, it acts like its going to and then just constantly stays at the screen and says not responding. The first time it fixed itself. This time its even worse and is also somehow keeping me from opening any attachments that are emailed to me. I am trying to uninstall adobe so i can reinstall it but even that is taking forever and eventually gives me errors. Has anyone had any problems like this???

Windows 8 has its own PDF opener called Windows Reader. Maybe somehow Reader got corrupted. Let's uninstall and reinstall it.
Type reader at the Start screen. Right-click on it and click Uninstall on the bottom ribbon.

Premiere Pro CC will not Fully Load
Hi, I purchased PPCC recently and for some reason it refuses to start up.
The app pops up but then shuts down immediately. I've cleaned up the registry and cleaned up even more space hoping that would do something.
It worked perfectly during the 30 trail. Flawlessly so.
I noticed that after I downloaded After Effects it stopped booting up properly. Not saying that's an issue Im just giving a bit of a timeline.
My computer is a 64-bit OS Windows 7 Toshiba LX835.

Touchscreen works differently upon restart
I have a Toshiba all in one computer. When I restart my computer sometimes the touchscreen works on the left side, sometimes the right side, sometimes it doesn't work on either, and sometimes it works on both. I recently upgraded from windows 7 to windows 8 and I have had this problem on both systems with this computer. I will give information below please let me know if you require more info to answer my question.

I tend to agree with Peter that it is a hardware issue.
To confirm, you could restore the computer to it's out-of-box state and if it is still behaving the same then it is almost certainly a hardware issue. If not, then it is likely some software conflict or the like.

I have a TOSHIBA LX835 PQQ18U-00G008 and it's been running fine for about a year and a half. Lately it started randomly dropping power 2 or 3 times a day. I replaced the external power supply but it is still doing it. What else might be causing this? Thanks.
Looks like this is a heat problem. I got a temperature monitoring program and I can see the temps are too high. The thing I don't get is the program is also supposed to disply fan speed and fan controller info and there is nothing there, just blank. I tried three such monitors and they all say the same thing, yes the cpu is hot and there is no fan info at all. Could this mean the fan or fan controller is dead? Has anyone seen this before?

2. looking at both descriptions at the website - snbc -these are the differences I found
a. 3215: no tv tuner & has touchscreen
vs. 3207 tv tuner - doesn't seem to be a touchscreen, yet being fairly new to market find that 'odd' so I am not sure if there is a mistake on description page
b. 3215 - Intel® Core™ i5-3210M 2.5GHz Processor
3207 - Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM Processor
Don't know the difference between the 2 processor's & how much this should effect our decision
the last difference between the 2 that I could find

I think the model I mentioned - that the info. wasn't there that it was a toucscreen - don't think it is.
I am confused, though - at PC Magazine - which gave an overall good review on the Toshiba All in One - --- seems these are both fairly new to Market - surprising the model doesn't have touchscreen yet has a tv tuner.

Upgraded to Windows 8 on my LX835-D3250 & can't go back
After getting my computer I downloaded and upgraded to Windows 8...after a while something seemed to have infected my computer so I was going to go back to the factory installI of Windows 7 but it seemed as though Windows 8 wiped it out. So I ended up going into a utility in Windows 8 and had it just wipe everything out to a clean install of Windows 8...the problem with that turned out to be that all signs of Windows 7 was wiped out and Windows 8 is now looking for a previous version of Windows so I can use my Windows 8 upgrade key. SIGH
So I purchased the USB restore media from Toshiba and figured I would just go back to the beginning using that method...however I am not able to restore from the USB. I'm not able to boot to it to restore from it.All-In-One LX835-D3250

I am looking to add a TV tuner to my LX835-D3203. I am looking for the Coax F adapter with cable that attaches to the computer chassis. I contacted NPD Toshiba parts and this is what they said " The part is no longer available. It may be part of an assembly. You will need to contact
Toshiba tech support to find out the assembly it is part of or if the assembly
is still available." And they did not have a part # for the part. I was wondering if anyone might know what the part # might be it is #41 in the attachment.

My Toshiba AIO does not show boot menu when presssing F12
I want to recover my AIO LX885-D3310 by USB stick that I bought in Toshiba. The issue is when the Toshiba screen display and I press+hold F12 key but it does not effect and it run direct to Windows screen.

You need to shut down Windows 8 completely. One way to do that is to depress the Shift key when you click Shut down.
When you upgrade to Windows 8.1, be sure to follow these instructions.

Best to restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media. All the drivers and utilities are properly preinstalled. Windows is preactivated.
If you failed to create recovery media, you can obtain it from Toshiba. Scroll down to Get Recovery Media here

How can I repair Vista system files with only a Toshiba recovery disc??
I have pretty much come to the conclusion that the reason I can't install Vista service pack 2 is due to some corrupt vista files. I ran the program that checks that system files and it said some are corrupt. There are some things I can't do, like turn on the Windows firewall even from that special adminostrar screen, or if I schedule a check disc scan, when I reschedule it for start up, it doesn't do it at startup. I had a Red Screen about a year ago, and it did a bunch of stuff and at the end, it said you had a major event and contact your administartor. Well, I am the administartor, lol. Anyway, it worked fine and I attribute these problems to that event.
Vista discs come with a repair option. All I have is the Toshiba disc that lets you reinstall the Toshiba and Vendor applications OR reformat the hard drive. I am not going to spend days trying to get my system back to where it is by tracking down everything I have installed especially when its working. Is there a work around? I will buy a Vista Home Premium disc if I have to before refortmatting. I have an x205-S9349 with Vista Home Premium. THANKS!Satellite X205-S9349

Blue screen of death on Toshiba P755-S5375 with ADOBE ENCORE CS6
I recently purchased a new laptop and installed Adobe Master Collection CS6. I purchased the laptop for video capture and editing, as well as for blu-ray authoring.
Unfortunately, although the computer and software works fine for video capture and editing, I am unable to author a blu-ray. For authoring, I am using Adobe’s Encore CS6. After checking and previewing my creation, I attempt to build to disc using Encore. About 2 seconds after clicking the build disc in Encore, I get the “blue screen of death” (BSOD). This happens every time I try to build to blu-ray (only blu-ray has this issue; I am able to build to a DVD). I am using an external blu-ray drive on USB 3.0.
