Total Run Time of Captivate 4 Project

I know it has to be here somewhere . . . but, where does Captivate show you the total run time of a completed projected?  I have put together about a dozen slides with animation and narration, and I'm trying to find out how long the whole thing will take to run/view by users.
Thanks.
Jean

Hi again
That's correct. If you have created a project from scratch, everything is zero until you publish. Then it populates.
At least that's always been my experience with it.
Cheers... Rick

  • Total run time query

    Hi Gurus,
I need to find out what is the total run time of a query in production. I browsed RSDDSTAT table in se11 but I don't know what is the name of the column to find out total run time.  Is it qruntimecategory ? Please advice .
    Thanks
    Liza

    Hi Liza,
Goto ST03N transaction and select the expert mode and under BW system load you can check for the query you want. Here it gives the detailed view of the query. But to do this, the statistics for the cubes should have been enabled. for that, goto RSA1, tools-> BW statistics for the infoprovider and select your infoprovider and save. then run the query and you will see the result in ST03N.

  • Work centre wise total running time and production

    Hello,
I have a requirement to show total running hours for work centres and total production quantity produced by work centres.
Is there any cube for this in PP?
    Please respond.
    Best Regards,
    AI

Well cube 0pp_c04 provides work centre wise GR quantity. The key field is 0GR_QTY. But i need workcentre (machine) hours used to produce the material.
    Got it?

  • Keeping track of total running time for a quiz

Is there a way to record how long it takes a student to complete a quiz in captivate? Would be interesting to see who takes 1 minute and who takes 10 minutes and compare their results.

Not simply by default, but it's possible.
    See Lilybiri's humoursly post here:
    http://lilybiri.posterous.com/timer-widget-to-stress-your-learners
Alternatively, if you are delivering via LMS, the LMS itself may be able to do this; some LMS products track a user's time within a lesson (from launch to close) automatically, and some do not.

  • How to calculate the total running time for process from sysssislog entries

    Hi All,
I have the below query which gets me the log entries form the logs table when the process started/completed.
    Select row_number() over (order by starttime) row_num,Substring( Substring(message, CharIndex('''',message) +1 ,Len(message)) ,0, CharIndex('''',Substring(message, CharIndex('''',message) +1 ,Len(message)))) as Description,
    starttime,endtime,message
    from dbo.sysssislog
where (message like 'start%' or message like 'finish%' ) and
    LEFT(Substring( Substring(message, CharIndex('''',message) +1 ,Len(message)) ,0, CharIndex('''',Substring(message, CharIndex('''',message) +1 ,Len(message)))),1) between 'A' and 'Z'
    order by starttime
However,I have to build a report on the top of it showing how much time that attribute/dimension/heirarchy took to execute(Ex-How much time did YearlyReview dimension take to complete).I dont have much knowledge of T-SQL and unable to figure out how to calculate
that on SQL or report level.
Could someone please assist me in getting the exact query for that?
    Thanks a lot.

I get the below output(sample 20 rows) on executing this query. Also,a start process does not necessarily follow up a finished message for the same dimension as it may have been stopped or it failed. So we need to leave it as NA in case it started but dint
    finish

  • Where is the Running Time Indicator?

Where can I find the Running Time as I watch a project? I only see the seconds on each clip but no total running time.

Where can I find the Running Time as I watch a project? I only see the seconds on each clip but no total running time.
Karsten may have interpreted your question literally. You asked "where can I find the Running Time as I _watch a project_" (underline is my emphasis). I think you may have meant viewing the elapsed time when skimming through and editing your project.
Go to iMovie>Preferences in the Menu and select the General tab. Check (tick) the box labelled "Display time as HH:MM:SS:Frames". Now, from the Menu, select View>Playhead Info. When moving through your project, in the black panel that moves with the playhead, you will see the elapsed time down to the frame level.
Unfortunately, as Karsten reported, the elapsed time does not show up when simply "playing" the project.

  • Issue with Run time parameter values

    Hi All,
Am facing an error while loading EBS 11.5.10 Financial data. Problem is, my parameters in the SQL Qualifier query (run time parameters in the SQL query) were not being replaced with appropriate values during run time. This is happening for the task "SDE_ORA_Reverse_GLJournals_ImportReference_Extract" that have SQL query in 'mplt_BC_ORA_XactsimpGlrfExtract' mapplet.
Ihave checked in parameter file and it have values for those Run time parameters. For some reasons, these values were not being picked up by that SQL query.
Can someboday help me on this about possible reason(s) behind this?

  • Future software wish - total album time

This is just a wish list. In a future version of the iPod software it would be nice if there would be some way to discern an album's total running time. Yes, it's in iTunes when creating playlists, but when on the road with the iPod, it would be nice not just to see the running time of a track, but what is the total running time left in the album being played?

The best way to make such suggestions to Apple is to use the Feedback page
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/
    Sounds like a good idea.

  • Ger Run time of Process Chain

    Hi All,
I have been monitoring process chains regularly in RSPCM.
Can anyone help me with the table name or transaction code to find the total run time of individual process chain?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Shreyas Shah

    hi,
Go to the transaction ST13....Give tool name as BW-TOOLS......then select process chain analysis radio button.... then click on process chain tab....A selection screen will appear.... give the name of the Process Chain and date and execute....you will get the run time of the Process Chain for that day.
You can also check the table RSPCPROCESSLOG  and insert the Variant name and the date of the chain run.
You will get details of all the runs of that particular chain.
Timings are there in the STARTTIMESTAMP and ENDTIMESTAMP fields.
    Hope it helps.

  • List of BO reports failing daily and schedule run time

    Hi,
Our BO reports are scheduled to refresh daily early mornings 2 - 6 AM and around 280 reports run daily. We want to know list of failed reports daily and measure run time differences for each report in different days and run time for all 280 reports.
    1. List of failed reports (to check if same reports are failing daily)
    2. Total run time for all reports
    3. Change in run for each report on different days.
Could you please let me know how this kind of report can be generated.
    Regards,
    Nanda Kishore B

    Hello Nanda Kishore,
Check below two links which can be helpful:
For query builder, below link has a 4 part series of queries. You can find the other links at the bottom on the page
    BusinessObjects Query builder queries
If you are using BI 4.x, then below link has a set of sample auditing universe and reports.
I'm sure you can find the required reports in the attachment:
Sample Auditing Universe and Reports for SAP BusinessObjects_4_x
I think auditing would be the best way to get the information required.
    I hope this helps!

  • Run time for a query

    Hello all,
Can you please tell me how can I see the total running time for a query?
What other transactions besides ST03 and RSRT with statistics on?
    Points will be assigned
    Thanks
    Ramona

    Hi........
You can use ST03N -> BW System Load
Depending on the time frame you select, you get historical data or
    current data.
To get to a specific query you need to drill down using the InfoCube
    name
Use Aggregation Query to get more runtime information about a
single query. Use tab All data to get to the details.
(DB, OLAP, and Frontend time, plus Select/ Transferred records,
plus number of cells and formats)
Also You can get it in RSRT,RSRTQ...
    WE07  IDoc statistics
    DB20  Update DB Statistics

  • How to improve run time

    Hi!
So attached are the codes I had for retrieving data from a network analyzer. I wanted to divide the sweep range into 800 subintervals, to run several times on each sub, and to generate an averaged data point for that subinterval. Now it takes me 30s to run once on each subinterval, so in total that's gonna take me over 20hours, which is way too much... I am just wondering if there's a way to drastically reduce the total run time to, say 1h? Thanks!

First, get rid of all the timed structures. I don't know what you think they do but at best, all they will actually do is report that they are running late. If a GPIB Write takes x number of msec, then that is how long it will take. The timed structures are just adding overhead. Use the error in/error connections to enforce dataflow and use the VISA functions instead of the low level GPIB. Make sure to add error in/error out connections to your subVIs. Move the file write out of the loop and use a producer/consumer architecture.
Finally, as I hinted, the GPIB communication speed is dependent on how many bytes you read and write. The instrument itself may not be capable of high speed communication. GPIB itself is not really designed for high speed communication.
I'll also mention that changing the timeout points to a fault in your code. You really aren't tracking errors, but if you did and got timeout errors, then you need to fix that. You are perhaps not sending a correct command, the instrument is not sending the correct termination, whatever.

  • Battery run time for Tungsten E?

What is the total run time for the battery in the Tungsten E assuming the back light is on all the time while playing a song?
    Post relates to: Palm III

With a brand new T|E in early 2004 I could get about 3 hours of run time in Aeroplayer with screen off.
I doubt you can get anything like that.
It would be simpler and less time consuming for everyone if you had started one thread with ALL your T|E battery questions.

  • Hyper-V Hypervisor Virtual Processor\\% Guest Run Time occasionally has bad values

I'm accessing PerfMon data via RegQueryValueExW () calls in a C++ program to collect a variety of metrics. I've noticed that
Hyper-V Hypervisor Virtual Processor\\% Guest Run Time occasionally contains incorrect values, as shown both in my collected code as well as in PerfMon. (Also % Total Run Time, and possibly all the metrics.)
My test environment is running 2008 r2 standard, service pack 1, on an Intel Zeon CPU (if it's relevant), and is hosting four guests, none very active (_total = .449, the rest = .030, .513, .185, .194, .341).
The problem is that occasionally the first, least active, guest will spike well above 100% (as an example, 6300%).
When walking through my code, the issue seems to coincide with the order of the subscripts being returned from RegQueryValueExW () changing, where the first, least active subscript moving to the second location, and getting an unexpected value. When it returns
to the first spot in the series on a subsequent call it once again has an expected value. Oddly enough the new "first array element" has the expected value even after the shift.
Actual returned values for a 30 second collection cycle, values are shifted by 1000:
    GuestRunTime[hyper-vtest_0]; current = 1211813.198, previously = 1211804.192
    GuestRunTime[win2k3EntR2_-_prometheus_3]; current = 18401087.260, previously = 18400964.194
    (interval)
    GuestRunTime[hyper-vtest_0]; current = 1211822.625, previously = 1211813.198
    GuestRunTime[win2k3EntR2_-_prometheus_3]; current = 18401201.918, previously = 18401087.260
(interval, and then the array order changes)
    GuestRunTime[win2k3EntR2_-_prometheus_3]; current = 18401327.210, previously = 18401201.918
    GuestRunTime[hyper-vtest_0]; current = 601735.139, previously = 1211822.625
(interval, and then the array order changes back)
    GuestRunTime[hyper-vtest_0]; current = 1211841.390, previously = 601735.139
    GuestRunTime[win2k3EntR2_-_prometheus_3]; current = 18401472.446, previously = 18401327.210
    (interval)
    GuestRunTime[hyper-vtest_0]; current = 1211850.605, previously = 1211841.390
    GuestRunTime[win2k3EntR2_-_prometheus_3]; current = 18401577.243, previously = 18401472.446
As you can see, the value supplied when the array shifts is rather wonky, but returns to an expected value after the array shifts back: 1211813.198 -> 1211822.625 -> 601735.139 (?) -> 1211841.390 -> 1211850.605.

    Thanks Deepak for your response.

  • Captivate project takes long time to load on LMS

So I developed a bunch of Captivate 7 modules for a course I'd been working on for some time. When I finally loaded these up on the LMS, I notice that when the modules are launched, a pop-up window opens with a grey background and just stays like that for up to 3-4 mins. I figured grey, because that's what I had set as the HTML page color in the skin editor. However the actual module contents take really long (3-4 mins) to load up. When I tried running all these modules locally from my computer, the grey screen fades into the splash animation within a second.
I figured that this was either due to a bandwidth issue or the LMS causing problems. So I then had these modules tested from our India and US offices (different internet connecttions, multiple LMSs). Same thing happened, takes up to 3-4 mins to transition from the grey screen to the splash animation (but loads up instantly when run locally). We then tried this on multiple LMSs like SABA, Moodle, and even tried this on SCORM Cloud and the same issue. The modules takes a long time to load up, so I kind of ruled out the LMS/bandwidth being an issue.
I'm speculating here, but what I think is happening is that the SCO is trying to download the entire module (about 10MB) to the users machine before it plays the splash animation -- if that's the case then is there a way to avoid that? I mean I don't want a 200 slide Captivate published project to be downloaded right from clicking the launch button -- it could stream through as the user advances through the module. Also, I've seen some pre-loader and Start/End options but not sure how those work.
Important to note here, the 3-4 min wait time from when the module is launched, is only for the first launch. If I were to close the browser popup (in which the SCO opened), and click launch again from the LMS, it's loads up almost instantly -- so I'm pretty sure something's happening in my Captivate project's loading settings which I can't put my finger on.
Can anyone help me figure out why this is happening and also what are some possible fixes to this. I can assure you that it's not an internet bandwidth issue because we've tested it on multiple internet connections and on several LMSs (even the client's LMS that this was tested on says that the initial load up takes too long).

All the symptoms you quote sure sounds like a bandwidth issue to me.
Obviously when you load a project directly from your hard drive then there's no issue with bandwidth.  But if you're pulling down 10 megs from a web server and it takes a while to start then bandwidth is the obvious issue.  I agree that 3-4 minutes sounds excessive for a 10 meg file but that depends entirely on how many users are sharing your bandwidth.  Try getting your people in these different locations to visit one of those websites that allows you to test your actual bandwidth.  It might not be as much as you think.
On another note...What do you have your preloader set to?  The default is 100% but you can usually set it to something like 25% without too much trouble.  That should cut the start time down appreciably but nothing is going to eliminate it completely because there'll always be some initial lag the first time your learners view the content.
