The Touchless Control Interface is a new technology for all mobile phone have a camera spcially secendary one untill now there is no programes just ninga strick game that depend on your hand movment to release the ninga stars .does any body know any program depend on hand movment ( Touchless Control Interface) ? plz help

There are some apps that already using accelerometer like in N95,N96,N82,etc that use hand moving sensor. For example: Inclinometer,NokMote,RotateMe.Just googling it.
This is just an example: www.s60tips.com/2007/11/14/cool-accelerometers-application-for-nokia-n95

If the interface won't link Up, then it is likely a cabling problem.
Even with a bad configuration on the AIP you should at least get link UP if your cabling is correct, so I don't think configuration is your problem here.
If I remember right the command and control interface of the SSM is a 10/100 TX interface. When connecting from a laptop directly to the command and control interface it would require a cross over cable rather than the normal straight through cable.
If you don't have a cross over cable, then try connecting the SSM to a switch and see if the SSM will link UP. The switch is designed to internally do the cross over.

  • Touchless control

When trying to set up touchless control by training launch phrase it won't catch my voice as it only stays recording for 1 second? Any ideas how to make this work I checked for updates and restarted phone but no luck.

        Labr024,
That's weird. But no worries because there's nothing too odd for us to handle. First, has it ever worked properly? And have you tried recording in a quiet environment? For setup, background noise can have a significant impact on recording.

  • USB control interface?

I want to get a USB control surface that I can use to map effects and such to in GB. Preferably one that has an expression pedal. Anybody know of a pedal I could use for this?

    David,
Thanks for the reply. Just wondering what is wrong with continuing along the Acquire Input Data.vi route. Behind this vi someone (probably NI?) has written a DLL to read Windows input streams on behalf of LabVIEW. I just need to know how to extract raw values from the DLL really, as it works without focus and reads the HID USB bar-code reader.
Looking into your other suggestions I can't find "First, you can use the VIs in the Advanced>>Input Device palette". So I did a Google search on this and still can't find it but found this from 2005! lol ...
    http://www.mofeel.net/394-comp-lang-labview/24157.aspx
I'm quite disappointed really that LabVIEW 8.6 can't do such a basic computing task as read the keyboard buffer - as it can and has done for years - read the coms buffer.
Does anyone have a vi for this? It must have been done before? Much appreciated if anyone can post me a vi for this - it's much lower level than I expected with the powerful & advanced LabVIEW 8.6!
    Nathand,
Thanks for the suggestion but we have this bar-code reader as standard here and USB is by far the preferred interface. It is possible to go serial to get round the LabVIEW deficiency but I want a 'plug-in and go' solution on any PC. I know I could use a USB to Serial converter but on assigning it the COM number is never standard COM3 or COM6 etc, etc, Going serial would mean going back in technology and at additional cost and additional un-standardization.

  • How do I unlock my phone using touchless control by speaking my PIN?

I just recently got my Droid Maxx & I am enjoying most of the features. I have set up & trained the launch phrase "Ok Google Now".  I have set a PIN code for security to unlock the phone.  I have the box checked that says "Speak PIN to unlock".  But it still won't unlock by voice. I still have to type in my PIN, which can be dangerous while driving. When I say "Ok Google Now, unlock phone" I get the launch phrase sound (so I know it heard me), but then the PIN pad appears.  If I type in my PIN, then it goes to a google search screen that has lists of articles & web pages about "unlocking phone".
What am I doing wrong?  What do I need to do to get my phone to unlock by speaking my PIN?
    Thanks!

  • Grid control interface for non-DBA users...

I was wondering if there is a way to provide non-DBAs an account to log into OEM (OMS Grid Control) for 11g.
We have some SQL Server DBAs and developers/report writers who are quite curious about OEM, especially after I gave them all a presentation on it.
I tried creating an account in one of our repository databases but OEM did not recognize the account (invalid username/password).
Does anyone know if this is possible or how this can be done?
I have OMS 10.2.0.5 set up with a repository database and a crash-and-burn database that our folks can mess with.
    Thanks.

An OEM account is separate from the database account. You need to use OEM UI to create an OEM account, however, for certain tasks to be done in the databases which OEM is monitoring they will also require separate database accounts within those databases. For example, to view the performance tab in OEM UI, a database account is required.
OEM only has two types of users, i.e. Super Administrator and Administrator, but don't go by the names. You can grant an OEM 'Administrator' account access to specific targets and what they can do within OEM, such as only viewing reports, targets, and so on. For access within a database, the user created need not be a DBA either.
    I hope you understand.

  • Removing a Control Interface Assigment

Hello, I was assigning controls for a plug-in when I found that my slider (cc 07) is already assigned to controlling the volume in a track. I have searched all over the MIDI settings for the control surfaces and I just cant find where to delete this assignment. Can someone help me out and let me know how to remove this assignment so I can configure my plug-in with out problem.
    -Thanks

Yep - audio channels will respond to controller 7 by default, it's not an assignment thing, it's just the standard channel volume command (the same is true for the pan CC as well.)
I'd recommend not using 7 or 10, or any of the other standardly-used MIDI CC's for bespoke functions, but if you have to for some reason, you should find that assign the CC7 in the controller assignments will prevent that audio channel from getting that CC7 message - ie, you should be able to use it as intended.
Do you find this not to be the case? (Ie you assign CC7 to something via Logic's learn functionality, and it works for the assignment but also continues to adjust the channel volume?)

  • Manipulating 3d virtual objects as a control interface.

The graphics used at ButtonRing.com need to be upgraded to a 3D java object of three skinnable concentric rings with a crystal ball in the center. Rotating the rings by cursor dragging should have configurable effects.
    Can anybody help with this?

tst's suggestion for identifying the decoration with a tag is a good one.  I was going to suggest this, along with using the TRef Traverse for References.vi found in vi.lib\utility\traverseref.llb.  I'm pretty sure this LLB is present in LabVIEW 8.0 and later.  With this VI, you can simply traverse the front panel for items of the "Text" class, then iterate over the results to see which one matches the tag you set.  Traversing automatically looks inside nested objects, so you can avoid the task of having to go look "inside" the tab control.
All that being said, if I were writing an app like this, I probably would have started off using a transparent string indicator.

  • Nexus 1000V - Control - Packet Interfaces - vSwitch

    Hello,
Is it possible to leave Control interface and Packet interface of my VSM on a standard vmware vswitch ?
Same question as above for the management interface ?
    Thanks.

Sure it is possible to leave the VSM on a vswitch if you can spare the extra physical uplinks for the vswitch.
The VSM can reside on a server running a virtual Ethernet module (VEM), or a VMware vSwitch or DVS. If the host is running a VEM, that VEM can be managed by the VSM on the same host or a VSM on another host.

  • EvaluatingTteststand 4.2.1: Null pointer access violation (error 17502) when attempting to use a mixed-mode std::map / boost shared_ptr class contained in a DLL through an interface from a different DLL

    Hi there.
I have been working on a test system which will potentially have TestStand at its core, and downloaded/installed the 4.2.1 evaluation. Current details from the information dialog are:
    TestStand Engine version 4.2.1 (4.2.1.83)
    Sequence Editor Verison 4.2.1.83
The system will drive mobile radio devices using RS232 serial interfaces, usnig a variety of serial protocols (Hayes, and a couple of proprietary binary protocols for other work).
We already have in existence a soak tester, written in VS2005 with MFC unmanaged DLLs and also managed DLLs, which are mixed up together to provide different aspects of the functionality required for the binary protocols.
    I have created:
    1. a "master wrapper" DLL for the constellation of other DLLs - this offers up a simple C-API interface which I hope TestStand will use. It's called "SerialSessionMgr.dll""
    2. a mixed managed / unmanaged "IJW" (it just works) DLL which wraps up the binary logging protocol control interfaces, which are entirely in managed C++/CLI: the "master wrapper" DLL calls into this through an unmanaged interface to create instances of the CLI-compiled class which interfaces to the underlying managed DLLs imlpementing the logging protocol. This is called "WinTseInterface.dll".
Before I started evaluating TestStand, I knocked up a test harness using CPPUnit / MFC, with which I was able to test SerialSessionMgr.dll and its' use of WinTseInterface.dll and verify they worked. The harness loads the DLL dynamically at run-time using AfxLoadLibrary() to try to emulate the way TestStand uses it.
    When we open a
    TSE session:
The SerialSessionManager makes a call to the
WinTseInterface.dll to "create" a logging instance. The instance is
created in a std::map which is held by the CWinApp derived class, this map
contains boost::shared_ptr of the class which works with a managed class. So we
    have a call trace: Client
    app->SerialSessionManager{TseStartSession()}->WinTseInterface{WINTSE_GetWinTseBridge()} - WINTSE_GetWinTseBridge()
just creates a new instance of the unmanaged class which interfaces through to
the managed CLI/C++ class beneath, and returns the address to the
    SerialSessionManager, which stores it.
The SerialSessioManager actually initialises the WinTseBridge using a method of a C++ pure virtual interface class to the class in the std::map in the WinTseInterface DLL
implements. The initialise call passes miscellaneous details and actually calls
"gcnew" to create the managed class which interfaces to the
underlying managed DLLs which implement the logging protocol.
My logs of the DLL loading as seen in VS2005 debug output are attached this message as PDFs
While trying to fix this, I have tried:
Enhancing the WinTseInterface DLL so it manually loads all the other assemblies in the logging system, including the managed portion of WinTseInterface itself (no effect)
All the different options for the way the C DLL adapter loads and unloads the DLL in the DLL adapter steptype in TestStand
I've even tried calling directly into the WinTseInterface DLL before trying any SerialSessionManager DLL calls to try to load the WinTseInterface DLL completely beforehand
and I cannot stop this exception.
It seems like the object is created in the WinTseInterface DLL OK (I have debugged the creation step which runs for WINTSE_GetWinTseBridge() and the object is created OK) when the SerialSessionManager makes the call, but when it calls the first managed function, which creates the managed object, the DLL is reloaded as managed - I suspect this causes the object to be destroyed or overwritten, and thus the call to initialise bombs with null pointer violation.
Have I done something obviously wrong, and what other approaches can I take?
Does TestStand 4.2.1 have issues with driving DLLs which use managed/unmanaged DLLs beneath them?
My nuclear option is to throw the WinTseInterface DLL out completely and wrap up the managed C++ CLI code in a new interface, entirely managed, and use the TestStand ".Net" adaptor to drive that, creating my step library to run to that directly. This isn't ideal as I have some co-ordination of the protocols which is implemented in the SerialSessionMgr DLL.
I hope someone can help. This one's low level, dirty and a stumper to me.
Many thanks to the NI community. This is my first posting!

    Hi there Ray.
First - many thanks for engaging with this thorny problem. Love the avatar BTW.
I've been using the C/C++ DLL adapter: the original premise of the Serial Session Manager DLL was to provide a simple C type functional interface, using simple data types, so that TestStand would be able to drive the underlying functionality easily through a single DLL.
Seeing as you've been kind enough to respond, I should explain the makeup of the DLLs a little more, I think.
The SerialSessionManager (SSMgr) DLL uses C++ and MFC internally. This is the DLL which TestStand calls into directly through the C/C++ adapter. This DLL does have one odd feature though - because the it uses the Windows Multimedia Timer (implemented in WinMM.dll) I had to artificially create a scenario where it would load the .Net mscoree DLL _before_ it loads WinMM.dll - (http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/329819/freelibrary-in-the-winmm-dlls-modu...), basically WinMM.dll's init code gets rather upset when .Net DLLs load, which causes the entire executable to be unloaded with subsequent crashes.
To work around this crash, the SSMgr has a single, completely empty, file which is compiled for CLR, effectively forcing a dependency into the DLL on the .Net subsystems and turning the DLL into a "IJW" binary. The resulting DLL doesn't actually have any executable managed .Net assemblies, but I'm guessing that it does contain enough .Net related stubs and information that when the DLL is loaded, mscoree.dll loads before WinMM.dll - and this means the system doesn't crash.
Now, on to the WinTseInterface DLL. My initial description of this little software system was done in something of a hurry.
This DLL is the C++/CLI "IJW" DLL which actually contains managed and unmanaged code. Underneath the WinTseInterface DLL is another system of (this time exclusively C++/CLI) DLL assemblies which implement the TSE protocol interpretation system.
When the SSMgr DLL needs to start a TSE protocol session, it calls a C-API function in the WinTseInterface which creates a new CWinTseBridge class. Here's the steps in a little more detail:
SSMgr DLL calls WINTSE_GetWinTseBridge(), passing in the name of the device which needs it (this is used to put the new WinTseBridge into a std::map in the WinTseInterface DLL) - this call runs just fine, and returns the address of the CWinTseBridge C++ object. This is stored in the SSMgr, because the CWinTseBridge class implements a pure virtual interface which is used by the SSMgr as a way of accessing the CWinTseBridge methods.
We now use the address from (1) to make a call to CWinTseBridge::Initialise(), passing some basic configuration details.
I've run VS2005 debug on the Sequence Editor when running the test, and done F11 step-throughs of the code loading each parameter in the Initialise() call onto the stack, and what appears to happen is that when the call is made, the whole lot steps off into oblivion (a reference to 0x00000000 is made, I think).
Do you think it's worth trying to get this approach to work? It would be useful to retain the control surface in the top of the SSMgr as there is co-ordination of the protocols within the logic of that component. If I move the Wintse control out into a separate managed DLL I may not have that co-ordination (this might be overcome with some design, as I've confirmed that it is possible to "reach into" the WinTseInterface DLL with TestStand and create and use managed objects from assemblies contained within).
Are there any known issues with this version of TestStand using C/C++ CLI IJW DLLs? I haven't found much out there on the web.

  • Passing values to sub VI and writing data to controls

As part of a control interface for a VFD i am interfacing with using Modbus TCP I wanted to try and compartmentalise some of my code into a subVi
However in doing so I am having a lot of trouble understanding how I can read the current drive settings for the Ramp up and Down values and update those values into the main faceplate of my control.
The sub Vi is tested and works exactly how I want. Selecting Read (latch on pressed) reads the registers from the drive and outputs it to the controls and the indicators. The indicators were incorporated because I did not know how to pass the data out of the sub vi without them. Updating works to write the current value in the controls to the VFD registers.
However when I incorporate this VI into my larger project the values are always displayed as zeros if I have the switch set to latch. However i do see a momentary flash of the correct values soon after pressing the read button or if i change it from latched operation to switched, however i would prefer it to opperate in a latched mode so as to reduce communication overheads to the drive.

    Hi,
    A number of suggestions:
    1. Use references and property nodes to set FP indicators from a subVI (you can learn more here and here)
    2. Don't put output indicators inside Cases. When the case is not Read, the VI outputs default values to the outputs and gives you the zero values.
    Good luck,

Controls and indicators function as variables. In a text based language, you could just write the name of the variable again. In LV, since each control only has one terminal, you need local variables to do this. To create a local variable, right click on the control and from the popup menu select Create>>Local Variable. You can have a local as read or write. Create a local for each of the buttons and wire the data coming out of the first button into the locals.
There is something that is very important to understand here - when you use locals, you can disrupt the dataflow nature of LV and create race conditions. For example - if, after fixing your code, you were to click on one of the buttons, to set it to F, it would immediately be set back to T by the running code. This can be very dangerous. Also, I see you're using the continuous run mode. You should use a loop instead. Try looking for some LV by searching google for "Labview tutorials. Also, here's one you can start with.

    $ uname -a
(Use at least a 2.6.36 kernel since a lot of improvement for recent Toshiba laptop have been done during summer 2010)
This done, ACPI options beeing compiled into kernel or loaded as module, this line should appear in your /var/log/Xorg.0.log :
