I believe tracebacks are normally indicative of a bug.  This might be something more suitable to raise with TAC.

  • Class-map type inspect match access-group name question

    I'm creating a zone base firewall solution and all appears to be fine until I create a class-map type inspect match-all or any
    and match access-group name acl to match an extended ACL and once I match it the commands runs but when I go back to view the configuration of the class-map it is not there.
    I have tried other named ACLs and it works if the ACL contents are simple like permit ip any any but for complex ACLs with ranges, tcp, udp, icmp etc etc it does not take it but  it does not report an issue either and when I view the config its not there for the complex extended acl but for the simple extended acl it does show.
    Any restrictions or possible bugs I'm running into?
    Thanks for all looking

    This could be a bug.  Could you post the exact configuration you are trying to implement?  I just set up a small test and I have been unable to reproduce what you are seeing.  I would like to see if I get the same result using your config.

  • Saving chart data and reload after restart of server?

    Hi
    I have a vi that communicate with another program called EES through DDE and sometimes EES mess up the server. My solution is to automatically restart the server once a day [this is good enough for me].
    My question is: How do I get all my data in my charts to save and reload easiest?

    Hi,
    I think you may create a database table in your server and then pass your data to this table every time a new entry is made and calling the same from the database every time you run the VI after its restart. This can easily be done using the database connectivity tool-kit in the function palette.

  • Catalyst 4500x : Shaping traffic and appliying queuing (nested policy-maps)

    Hi Everyone,
    I got a question on how actually I could put kind of nested policy-maps under an interface on a 4500x switch.
    This is needed because 100Mbps link connecting 2 head office locations. The 100Mpbs is a metro ethernet link and the provider is fixing port to 100Mbps speed.
    Since 4500x is not supporting 100Mbps speed on interfaces, the provider's port is connected to an intermediary switch at 100Mbps. And the 4500x is connected to intermediary switch at 1Gbps.
    Hence, I need to shape to 100Mpbs out to my 4500x port. But I also need do perform queuing for traffic. The thing is nested policy-maps doesn't seem to be implemented on 4500x as in routers.
    Any idea on how to workaround this? In a router world I'd do something like this:
    policy-map SHAPER
    class class-default
    shape average 100000000
    service-policy QUEUING
    policy-map QUEUING
    class VOICE
    priority
    police 5000000 conform-action transmit exceed-action drop
    class INTERACTIVE
    bandwidth 20000
    class BULK
    bandwidth 20000
    class class-default
    dbl
    interface TenGigabitEthernet2/1/9
    description TO_REMOTE_HEADOFFICE
    service-policy output SHAPER
    Thank you.

    I have the same problem. I wanted to do sub-interfaces with dot1q tags and nested shaper policies, but the 4500x doesn't appear to support either nested shapers or subifs. Really wish there was more consistency across platforms.
    Instead of the subifs, I can simply create vlan interfaces (not my favorite method, but it works).
    As far as shaping goes, the best I've been able to come up with is a custom policy that polices for the realtime traffic (i.e marked with EF or AF41, 42, 43) and everything else is matched by a custom class that matches any and sets the shape average % on the interface accordingly.  (i.e. a 10g interface shaped to a 2G pipe would get 19% for all traffic and 100Mb for realtime apps like voice and video). Not perfect, but without nested policies it's hard to do a full 8 class policy and shape each class to a specific rate.
    class-map match-any REALTIME
    match dscp ef
    match dscp af41 af42 af43
    class-map match-any CATCH_ALL
    match any
    policy-map QOS_SHAPE_2G_OUT
     class REALTIME
      priority
      police rate percent 1
     class CATCH_ALL
      shape average percent 19
    int ten1/1/27
    service-policy output QOS_SHAPE_2G_OUT
    If you want queuing, then drop dbl in the catch all class and you're set. This is not ideal and doesn't do as well as a nested shaper policy. If anyone can come up with a better solution, please post it!

  • Can iDvd be removed and reloaded after Mountain Lion loaded ?

    Can I remove iDvd from Lion operating system and then reintroduce it after Mountain Lion has been installed?

    If you are upgrading from Lion to Mountain Lion, nothing should happen to your iDVD installation (or any other apps you have); but, to be sure, either use the retail  install DVD method Colin mentioned (whatever version of iLife you have - iDVD is included in all of them) or have a bootable clone or Time machine backup before you upgrade (it's good practice to have one anyway).

  • [Trend Micro Ios content filtering] parameter-type command under policy map not available

    Hi, all:
    I'm trying to configure TrendMicro IOS content filtering. I have this working on a separate box, running 15.1.

    I have not been able to get to the good part of configuring the ZBF.
    I've looked over several configuration examples and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, since I'm not able to see the command 'parameter-map' under the 'policy-map urlfiltering'
    XXXXXX(config)#policy-map type inspect urlfilter trend-policy
    XXXXXX(config-pmap)#?
    Policy-map configuration commands:
      class        policy criteria
      description  Policy-Map description
      exit         Exit from policy-map configuration mode
      no           Negate or set default values of a command
    XXXXXX(config-pmap)#
    I thought it might be an issue with version 15.2.3, but according to configuration guides, commands are the same.
    Can anyone provide some assistance?
    TIA.
    c.

    Hi Carlos,
    I am having the same problem.  I have seen a few diffenent configuration examples and they all show adding the "parameter type urlfpolicy trend parm-map-name" command but it doesn't exist, at least in 15.2(3)T1 and I see it listed in the the IOS documentation for 15.2.  Maybe they forgot it :-)
    I guess I will open a TAC case as I do not want to downgrade...
    I will keep you posted if I find the answer.
    Regards,
    Troy

  • Policy-map multi-match

    Hi Guys,
    I need explanation on multi-match policy on ACE. How does it work ?
    Lets take this example-
    policy-map multi-match CLIENT-VIPS
      class VIP1-80
        loadbalance vip inservice
        loadbalance policy VIP1-POLICY
    policy-map type loadbalance first-match VIP1-POLICY
      class class-default
        serverfarm SERVERFARM1
    class-map match-all VIP1-80
      2 match virtual-address 192.168.1.200 tcp eq http
    This will work for sure looking for functional diffrence if I make POLICY CLIENT_VIPS to frist match,what difrence will come in this case. will it not just match class VIP1-80 and redirect request to serverfarm.
    Or this is something where multiple class can be called under CLIENT_VIPS like Inspection ?
    Thanks
    Ajay

    HI Ajay,
    Say if you have 2 class-maps on different ports 80 & 443
    policy-map multi-match CLIENT-VIPS
      class VIP1-80
        loadbalance vip inservice
        loadbalance policy VIP1-POLICY1
      class VIP1-443
        loadbalance vip inservice
        loadbalance policy VIP1-POLICY2
    class-map match-all VIP1-80
      2 match virtual-address 192.168.1.200 tcp eq http
    class-map match-all VIP1-443
      2 match virtual-address 192.168.1.200 tcp eq https

  • Policy-Map

    Ok I am going insane here! I have a policy map on one of my 5k's but not the other and seem to create it either. They are in an active/active pair. Here is the policy, can someone help me understand what it is and maybe why I cant create it on my other device?

  • ACE: 4710 Policy-Map NAT

    Greets. I have a scenario where the rservers are located on two different VLAN's in One Arm Mode.
    My question is, am I able to assign two different NAT commands in my policy map (as written below)? Will the NAT command only kick off for the selected rservers vlan?

        nat dynamic 741 vlan 741
    Thanks,
    -b

    Hello Brian-
    You can apply 2 different NAT statements, yes.
    The way it works:
    1.)  A client sends a SYN into a vlan where the vip is applied as a service-policy input.
    2.) The ACE matches the SYN to the class in question, the loadbalance policy is checked, and eventually a server in the associated serverfarm is chosen.
    3.) ACE prepares to forward the SYN out of the appropriate VLAN based on the route table.
    4.) Before the packet leaves, if the packet will egress either vlan 7 or 741, the the packet would be source NATted by the group number mentioned in the statement.  This occurs because the "vlan 7" and "vlan 741" in the NAT statements under the class are filters. If the destination matches either vlan, then the nat group for that statement is used.
    i.e.
    rserver host server_1
    ip address 10.0.0.10
    inservice
    rserver host server_2
    ip address 172.16.35.60
    inservice
    serverfarm host SF_1
    rserver server_1
      inservice
    class-map match-any VIP_80
    2 match virtual-address 172.16.35.80 tcp eq 80
    policy map type loadbalance first-match LB
    class class-default
      serverfarm SF_1
    policy map multi-match X
    class VIP_80
      loadbalance policy LB
      loadbalance vip inservice
      nat dynamic 5 vlan 7
      nat dynamic 7 vlan 741
    interface vlan 7
    ip address 172.16.35.2 255.255.255.0
    nat 5 172.16.35.100 172.16.35.100 netmask 255.255.255.0 pat
    service-policy input X
    Interface vlan 741
    ip address 10.0.0.2 255.255.255.0
    nat 7 10.0.0.100 10.0.0.100 netmask 255.255.255.0 pat
    service-policy input X
    If a packet comes into either vlan destine to 172.16.35.80 on port 80, it will be balanced to either 10.0.0.10 or 172.16.35.60.  If 10.0.0.10 was chosen, then natpool 7 under vlan 741 would be used because 10.0.0.10 is layer 2 adjacent to vlan 741.  If 172.16.35.60 was chosen, then natpool 5 would be chosen because that server is layer 2 adjacent to vlan 7.

  • Redirection class overlap on policy-map

    Hello.
    I was asked to implement some rules and one of them is overlaping the other I think becasue is shorter and it´s using the regular expression .*
    Regarding the configuration below I always get redirected to http://SITE1 instead of http://SITE2 when I type www.AAA/fr/pages/AAA/index.php because the class REDIRECT_NM_LORO_PMUR_CLASS always win even it´s in the bottom of the policy-map.
    Is there some way to order the classes in a policy-map to act as an  access-list does? (from the top to the bottom and stop looking up when a  match is found), In other words, make the class REDIRECT_PMUR_RAPPORTS_CLASS is done before REDIRECT_NM_LORO_PMUR_CLASS
    which is more generic.
    Config example:
    rserver redirect REDIRECT_PMUR
      webhost-redirection http://SITE1 301
      inservice
    rserver redirect REDIRECT_PMUR_RAPPORTS
      webhost-redirection http://SITE2 301
      inservice
    rserver redirect REDIRECT_PMUR_RESULTATS
      webhost-redirection http://SITE3 301
      inservice
    serverfarm redirect REDIRECT_NM_LORO_PMUR_FARM
      rserver REDIRECT_PMUR
        inservice
    serverfarm redirect REDIRECT_PMUR_RAPPORTS_FARM
      rserver REDIRECT_PMUR_RAPPORTS
        inservice
    serverfarm redirect REDIRECT_PMUR_RESULTATS_FARM
      rserver REDIRECT_PMUR_RESULTATS
        inservice
    class-map type http loadbalance match-any REDIRECT_NM_LORO_PMUR_CLASS
      4 match http url /fr/pages.*
    class-map type http loadbalance match-any REDIRECT_PMUR_RAPPORTS_CLASS
      3 match http url www.AAA/fr/pages/AAA/index.php
    class-map type http loadbalance match-any REDIRECT_PMUR_RESULTATS_CLASS
      3 match http url www.BBB/fr/pages/BBB/index.php
    policy-map type loadbalance first-match POLICY_REDIRECT_NM_LORO_CAT2_FARM
      class REDIRECT_PMUR_RESULTATS_CLASS
        serverfarm REDIRECT_PMUR_RESULTATS_FARM
      class REDIRECT_PMUR_RAPPORTS_CLASS
        serverfarm REDIRECT_PMUR_RAPPORTS_FARM
      class REDIRECT_NM_LORO_PMUR_CLASS
        serverfarm REDIRECT_NM_LORO_PMUR_FARM
      class class-default
        serverfarm NM_LoRo_CAT2_FARM
    Thank you very much,
    Miquel

    Hi Miquel,
    This is what it seems is happening. Your class-map condition is based on URL and not host-header value so ACE is not even considering www.AAA or www.BBB. It is only looking for fr/pages/xxxxxxxx which only matches 3rd class map and that's why you get the match and hence the corresponding redirection.
    Can you try using class map condition based on Host ?
    switch/Admin(config-cmap-http-lb)# 2 match http header Host header-value ?
    Please try and let me know how it goes.
    You can also test my removing that /fr/pages/.* condition and see if it matches or not as well.
    Regards,
    Kanwal

  • Can't reload Bing app after wiping and reloading lastest AT&T OS 5

    Howdy all,
    Please forgive me if this has already been addressed and I just haven't found it yet.
    I was having all sorts of oddities with my BlackBerry Curve 8900 (AT&T carrier), so I backed up my data, wiped, and reloaded the latest OS from AT&T (5.0.0.1067).  Before wiping my device, I had both the Bing search and Bing map apps on my device.  I don't recall when I loaded them, but I'm sure I was running an iteration of OS 5, and not 4.x with an upgrade.
    Anyways, after wiping and reloading the OS, I can't load the Bing app to my Berry.  When I go to their website, and follow the mobile link, whether I type the provided URL in (http://m.bing.download), or I have their site send me a text message with a link to download (http:/m.bing.com/?mid=40012), I get the same message, as follows:
    "We were unable to detect your phone type or we do not offer support in your region.  To try Bing anyway, click here."
    I don't recall how, but somewhere in my interwebs searching, I found a link that took me right to the Bing app's location in AppWorld.  I followed this, but it also told me that the app was unavailable for the device.
    According to Microsoft's website, it is available for my model.  Of course, since I was actually using it on my Berry prior to wiping and reloading the OS, I'm not sure why it's unavailable now.  Is it possible that the Berry is being misidentified?  I was running 5.0.0.1067 prior to wiping and reloading, so it shouldn't be an OS version.  My Vendor ID shows as "2," so it should be seen with AT&T as my carrier (and, by default, in the US).
    It's not a big deal, but I prefer Bing maps and search, and can't figure out why I can't reload it.  I've already contacted Bing support at Microsoft, and they just provided me the same links, and told me to go ask BlackBerry support.  And please, don't respond with, "Just use Google."   I have and can use Google, but that's not why I'm posting.  It may be that I'm just out of luck, and won't be able to use Bing, but I figured I should ping out to the community first in case some of y'all had any ideas.
    Thanks in advance, and I appreciate any help y'all can give!
    Jeff

    I had exactly the same problem and was most disappointed at not being able to reinstall the Bing search application and Maps. I'm guessing you have found a solution by now but just in case and for the benefit of anyone else in this position I have a possible solution.
    It took a lot of searching but eventually I found a page which offered a download of the early (1st) release of the Bing application for various BlackBerry handsets not including mine. I did however manage to select and successfully download a version for a different device which installed ok. Upon opening the Bing app I immediatley received a pop up message informing me that there was a newer version of the application available, would I like to update ? I selected yes to update and hey presto, I once again had the latest and correct version of Bing search and Maps on my device.
    Here is the link http://handheld.softpedia.com/progDownload/Bing-BlackBerry-Download-89065.html
    Any problem with the link then you are searching for "Bing (BlackBerry) 1.0: Free Download on the Softpedia Handheld site". Once there you will see a list of devices and download locations in the bottom right hand corner. Good luck and enjoy this great app. Hope RIM add it to Appworld on both sides of the Atlantic soon. Very useful and works perfectly on my Torch 9800.

  • Carrier sign still showing after wiping and reloading OS?

    Hello dear users, In my thread of "application installation issues", it seems to be determined that my carrier who I got the phone from, is blocking the install of applications as I get a 910 error, application authorization failure, when i try to install an application from: www.blackberry.com/screenreader/ After some searching, I've come across BBSAK, which I use to wipe the phone and reload the oS. I've also come across the tool "vendelete" which deletes the vendor.xml files. So I do the following: 1. uninstall the original carrier OS from pc. 2. Install OS from different carrier to pc. 3. Use vendelete to get rid of the xml files which it says no xml files were found. 4. Use bbsak to wipe the oS. 5. reload the OS. But when the phone boots up, it still shows the sign of the carrier which I don't want, so i presume nothing has been updated? since when I try to install the application again, I still get the 910 error. What am i doing wrong here? Help would be much appreciated. Regards,

    Hello,
    Ok, is there anything else that is not being wiped apart from the splash screen?
    I mean anything else that would be the cause for not being able to get passed the 910 error? apart from the IT policy which was mentioned.
    Actually, the IT Policy is another thing that is not removed by other Wipe methods, nor is it removed when you install a different carriers OS to the BB. See this for the proper IT Policy removal process:
    KB18998 How to reset the BlackBerry smartphone to factory defaults
    If, when you do this, you take a backup first, then you MUST NOT do a wholesale restore afterwards...if you do, the IT Policy will dutifully be put back on. You must do a selective restore of only those specific databases that you require, being 100% certain to EXCLUDE from the restore any that deal with the IT Policy:
    KB03974 BlackBerry smartphone database list
    Also, see this for the official document from RIM regarding the 910 error.
    KB12230 "Download Failed: 910 Application authorization failure" appears on the BlackBerry smartphone when installing an application
    From all of your symptoms, a latent IT Policy on board the BB could be the root cause of everything, so I recommend you use the above methods and truly cleanse your BB of the IT Policy. I think I'd suggest the following steps, just to be sure that things are truly clean...also insert plenty of reboots of your PC...not just restarts, but full power down reboots. Also, it is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista/Win7, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
    1) Remove all device OS update packages from your PC (add/remove programs)
    2) Cleanly uninstall the RIM Desktop Software:
    KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
    Some have reported that manually cleansing the registry of all keys related to RIM, BB, and Puma to also be helpful
    Others have reported the use of a registry cleansing tool to also be helpful
    Still others have reported the use of your original PIM (e.g., Outlook, NOTES, etc.) installation CD, running the "repair" process, to be helpful in some situations
    3) Get a fresh download of the RIM Desktop Software:
    http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/
    4) Download (to your PC) a fresh copy of your currently installed (on your BB) device OS package from your carrier (if it's not the original carrier, then you know already to delete all copies of VENDOR.XML after installing to the PC):
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    5) Install the Desktop Software to your PC
    6) Install (also to your PC), the device OS package
    7) If you need a backup from the BB, take a full one now:
    KB23680 Backup BlackBerry smartphone data using BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0 to 7.0
    8) Perform the ResetToFactory
    KB18998 How to reset the BlackBerry smartphone to factory defaults
    9) If you want a different OS on the BB, then remove the OS Package from your PC and install the one you desire onto your PC (but not yet to your BB)...again, remove VENDOR.XML files if the package is not from the BB's original carrier.
    10) Use BBSAK to wipe the BB and then load the OS to the BB
    11) If you took the backup in step 7, use that as source for a selective restore, including only the databases you require and excluding all databases that have anything to do with the IT Policy:
    KB10339 How to use BlackBerry Desktop Software to restore data to a BlackBerry smartphone from a backup
    12) Now see if you can proceed with installing apps

    Time Machine Locked after MacBook Air reformatted. My MacBook Air was overfull due to an Address book issue (duplication) so after many attempts to clear space, I ended up wiping out the system and reloading Lion. This resulted in the Time Machine thinking that it was now connected to a different computer. Apparently this diables the existing information.
    Now I can see that the back-ups exist (back to Sept 2012) but they are greyed out, therefore unavailale to restore. Again, this seems like an issue that shouldn't be happening. The whole point of the Time Machine is to enable reinstatement of data after catastrophic failure. What if my computer actually had to be replaced due to a hardware issue? How would I beableto restore anything?
    The path already (unsuccessfully) taken;
    Open Library on the computer, Open Time Machine, Select Correct date, drill down to correct data you wish to restore, click "Restore".
    This did not work because the correct date was greyed out. Restore key was greyed out.
