Track flash errors on remote machine
Hey,
I'm wondering may I run Adobe Scout to track the flash errors on remote machine?
You can remotely profile with Scout, so long as the machine running Scout is visible to your remote machine (it has to be able to connect to it). See the section "Local and remote profiling" in the getting started guide for Scout:

Appclient - fine from localhost, errors from remote machine
Hi,
I've been trying to solve a rather strange problem, but could not find any
help in the documentation or in this Forum. It's probably just some minor
thing that I am missing, but those are always the most difficult to find... ;-)
I have S1AS7 installed on one of our development servers (Linux).
I created a little EJB and packaged it together with a test servlet and a simple
console application (using Studio 5).
Step 1: Using the servlet, everything works fine; EJBs are created and
modified successfully.
Step 2: Using the local appclient on the dev server to run the console
application: everything works fine, too. EJBs are instantiated and everything
is cool.
Step 3: I packaged the appclient (using package-appclient),
copied it to another machine (also Linux) and extracted it there. I modified
all the paths in asenv.conf and adjusted the host and port in
sun-acc.xml. I use the same J2SDK as on the dev server. The specified
port is reachable from the second machine via telnet (rule out firewalls
and alike). This is the error that I get:
[bernd@bambi2 appclient]$ ./bin/appclient -client /home/bernd/tmp/TestAppClient.jar -mainclass test.app.TextClient -xml /home/bernd/tmp/AC7/appclient/config/sun-acc.xml

Greetings,
Bernd.Hi Bernd ;-)
gotta give myself the answer (and keep it here for later reference). This is what I needed to do in order to make it work:
1) Package the appclient.jar as described in the manual and unpack it on the remote host.
2) Package the SDK that the Appserver is using (/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.1_04 in my case) and also unpack the directory tree somewhere on the remote host.
On the remote host (where appclient.jar was unpacked):
3) Adjust the paths in conf/asenv.conf and make sure to specify the SDK copied from the Appserver's host in the variable AS_JAVA.
4) In bin/appclient replace %CONFIG_HOME% with the config path, remove the if-block after that line ("environment set by tools") and add :/path/to/j2ee.jar to the JVM_CLASSPATH variable.
5) Edit config/sun-acc.xml: Replace %%%SERVER_ROOT%%% with the path where appclient is installed and (in my case) make sure to use IP addresses for %%%SERVER_NAME%%% in the following line:
<target-server name="%%%SERVER_NAME%%%" address="%%%SERVER_NAME%%%" port="%%%ORB_LISTENER1_PORT%%%"/>Sounds weird and far-fetched, but it works now. :-)

Lsnrctl status error from remote machine
want to get "lsnrctl status" from redhat 5 machine through shell command.
Error: "facility=TNSMessage 1020 not found; No message file for product=network,"
while in putty it is executing properly.I remember a similar problem from incorrect oracle startup scripts that are still lurking around on the Internet. For instance, setting ORACLE_HOME and then connecting with su - ORACLE, hence resetting the environment variables and causing the problem. Sound familiar? If not, please post the exact details of what you are doing.

RVIs this music purchased back in DRM days? I don't actually have any iTunes music so I can't test with my iTunes 7.5, but I know that without iTunes 10 you cannot even connect to the store anymore. I wouldn't think that would require an active connection to the store all the time, otherwise how could you play music on a computer in the middle of nowhere? Did you do something to trigger iTunes suddenly wanting to connect and check on machine authorization?

Any pointers would be very helpful.I think your problem is here: Caused By: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: allocLargeObjectOrArray: [Ljava/lang/Object;, size 782611408
And is probably related to this: http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/openjpa-dev/201006.mbox/%3C26423199.85161276545675046.JavaMail.jira@thor%3E
the comment in here is saying: Make the CacheMarshallerImpl a bit more tolerant to different configurations.
Could be the out of memory error you getting is related to your openjpa configuration, not sure here -
I am running Hyper-V in Windows 8.1 on a late 2011 27 inch iMac. Whenever I try to create a virtual machine I get the error below and Windows warns that it will restart in 1 minute. I tried a clean install of Windows, but my PC still crashes ever
time I try to create a VM. I was able to successfully use Hyper-V in prior versions of Windows on this same PC. Any clue as to what is going on? A driver? Windows 8.1? Mac Hardware related?

Creating Error log files using UTL_FILE package on a remote machine
Database Version: 10g Release2
OS Platform: Sun Solaris
I have been asked to log errors to OS files rather than tables. So, i wanted to use UTL_FILE package. But the client doesn't want to store these files on the same server where the database is running(as specified in UTL_FILE_DIR). Is there a way i could get these files created on a remote machine(client).I believe what others are suggesting is that your stored procedure continues to log to a table and a separate process be created that runs on the machine you want the file to be created on which reads the log table and writes to a log file.
If that is not an option, can you expose the directory on the remote machine you want to write the file to as a file share that can be mounted by the database server? If you can, you could write errors there using UTL_FILE. However, it would probably be a bad idea. If you're logging an error already, that implies that something has gone wrong. Making an error logging process dependent on a remote server being available and properly mounted with appropriate privileges at the instant the error occurs just creates more sources of failure that would prevent you from logging an error, which would prevent you from being able to debug the problem or even know it existed without a report from a user.

Can anybody provide me solution for this
I also tried with java.util.Properties class but result is same.You are running on Windows 9x or Me, right? The darn OS has 300 or so bytes allocated for environment by default.
Try setting the Initial environment to 4096 in the Properties|Memory tab for the batch file. That will get rid of "Out of environment space". The syntax error is another matter; Windows (except NT and derivatives) shells do not allow '=' in an environment variables value. You cannot overcome that. Some software (Sybase for instance) interprets # as = just because of that. Unfortunately, the JVM doesn't take such an approach.
Better, grab copies of Unix utilities for Windows (www.gnu.org) including the wonderful shell 'bash' and write .sh scripts, which are inherently more powerful. -

Not able to access database from a remote machine using SQL Server Management Studio
Hi,
I have a DB_BOX with SQL Server 2008 R2 installed. I can access the databases on the local machine using SQL Server Management Studio but it is not accessible from other machines, though the machines are in same domain.
I have remote enabled on SQL Server box, TCP enabled, firewall off. I checked with IP Address too, all SQL Server services are running.
The SQL Server log shows the message
The requested service has been stopped or disabled and is unavailable at this time. The connection has been closed.
I get the below message in SSMS from remote machine.
Details of error message are
===================================
Cannot connect to DB_BOX.
===================================
A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The specified network name is no longer available.) (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)

here said not find the remote partner, but in B2B server, can ping Echoserver.
what is wrong?Hello again,
I have tried all different combinations with the IP addresses and host names, but to no avail. Then I changed the Trading Partner Identification Type from MLLP Id to Sending Application (one of the customer requirements is to be able to identify the Trading Partner by the combination of Sending App/Sending Facility, since they are running multiple HL7 applications on one host). However, I still see the same error in the log file - for some reason, B2B is still trying to identify the Trading Partner by the MLLP Id. Redeploying the configuration didn't help, the requested identification type is ignored.
Please help! If needed, I can send the B2B log file, but maybe I'm missing something obvious.
BTW, the customer has installed the patch for bug 6439217 on October 10th. The B2B version is 10.1.2.2.0.
Thanks in advance! -
Home Directory for AD on remote machine
Hi,
Requirement is like this:-
As user is provisioned to AD a home directory for user is created on remote computer with name of user. I had wrriten a VB script to create a folder in users folder(folder already shared) on remote machine. I am able to sucessfully create the folder when i run script through command prompt. Now i write a java code to run the script with following command in java code.
Process process = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd /c cscript d:/users "+userid + " " + action);
I am able to run the java code from eclispe and folder is created in users folder on remote machine.
Now i had added a process task in AD process form and attached the adapter in which this java code is executed to run the script and i called this on response code (sucessfully provisioned) of AD .now when i provisoned user to AD process is called but error is their as cmd is not a command on linux... how can i run the script on linux.
2) If folder users folder is not shared i have to give permissions on folder to particular user with userid and password to create its home directory in it how can i achieve this using vbscript??I assume you are creating folders in a file server and its a windows machine , is it ?
You can install a remote manager on file server or on any other machine in network and execute your scripts remotely using remote manager
Also you can execute your script like wscript c:\CreateFolder.vbs
Thanks

Question about BlazeDS on a remote machine
So, i am running BlazeDS on my windows machine because that is where i have my Java stuff all setup and entrenched.
However, i develop Flex on my mac because i like how it works, and i have Flash Builder on Mac.
I want to set up a BlazeDS project, but it's asking for the root installation folder. How can i do this if it is on a remote machine?
The first answer that comes to mind is to map the Tomcat folder on my mac, but i don't know if that will work right.
any ideas/suggestions?
thanksbumpity bump....

Get Remote Machine Name and SerialNumber
Hi -
Looking to get remote machines name and serial number using computer names in a text file. THis is what I have but it's not working. ANy suggestions? TIA
$computers = Get-Content c:\GETSN\computerlist.txt
$computers | foreach { Get-WmiObject -ComputerName computers -Class Win32_BIOS | Select -Property PSComputerName,SerialNumber}Are you sure that all of the machines are online and you can run remote WMI queries against them?
This should try to take some of that error handling into account:
Get-Content .\computerList.txt | ForEach {
$props = @{
ComputerName = $_
SerialNumber = ''
Status = 'OFFLINE'
If (Test-Connection -ComputerName $_ -Count 1 -Quiet) {
$props.Status = 'Online'
try {
$bios = Get-WmiObject Win32_BIOS -ComputerName $_ -ErrorAction Stop
$props.SerialNumber = $bios.SerialNumber
} catch {
$props.SerialNumber = 'ERROR retrieving value'
New-Object PsObject -Property $props
} | Select ComputerName,SerialNumber,Status | Sort ComputerName
