Track New, Open, Close and Save Recording Info.

Hi,
New to the Photoshop SDK and as such would appreciate a push in the right direction
I need i way to track New, Open, Close and Save commands and record document name and ID.
Anyone have some sample code showing this?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
It's fine in almost any situations, except one.
When working on a new document and the user chooses to save, but in another format than psd, let's say a jpg file.
Photoshop of cause saves it as a copy and then there is no way to detect the full path and name of that file.
At least not in any way I can see.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have some (a lot) of -jpg images to crop, and resize, while I have to do this one by one based on what portion of the image to crop, once done I need to close, and save them.
To speed up the process I open several files, and do the crop&resize, and when finished I use "close all", and would like to avoid to confirm the "save" dialogue, and the "jpeg options" "image quality option" dialogue, having to say save, and the option set to a given value.
Unfortunatelly I am not a coder, and didn't understand anything from the Javascript Scripting Reference guide.

Add this snippet to a script file.
Load script file in PS scripts folder
Restart photoshop
Assign keyboard shortcut to script

Why cant i close and save? so the next time i open firefox the same sites come up.

Before i installed the latest firefox, a window poped up when i closed firefox asking what i wanted to do. save and close, just close or abort. after the update i only get 2 alternatives close or abort.
I want the last alternative back so i can close and save, and get the same sites next time i open firefox.

Firefox now always stores the old session which you can access by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session".
If you always open the last set of tabs, an alternative approach is this:
# Click the orange Firefox button, then select options to open the options window
# Go to the General panel
# Change the setting "When Firefox starts" to "Show my windows and tabs from last time"

What that alert means is that your iPhone 5c does not have a newer version of iOS on it to support that back up of your iPhone 4s. To get passed this you would need to update your iPhone 5c to the latest version to then restore from the back up you made with iTunes. Take a look at the articles below for more information to get you started and where you want to be with getting your information to your new iPhone.

You can separate the audio track from video and save it to a DVD disc within Premiere Elements but not a CD disc.
To do save to the audio to DVD disc, you do not have to separate linked audio video, just use the export Publish+Share/Computer/Audio and set Presets to the wanted format (AAC, AIFF, MP3, or Windows Waveform (WAV).
You will not see Audio in the choices since it is at the bottom of the list of choices under Publish+Share/Computer/. You will need to use the thin scroll bar to the right of the choices to scroll to it.
If you need information on selective export of Timeline content when dealing with more than just this one file on the Timeline, please let us know. If you are trying to produce a CD for listening in car or CD player elsewhere, please let us know.

Selection brush tool - how to close and save changes???

I’m using PE 7. When I use the brush selection tool and select an area and enhance it, how do I quit the selection process and start another one. Say I select a face with the brush, use the enhance faction to lighten the shadows then want to close and save the enhancement, i.e. make the dashed selection area not be highlighted.
I’ve tried enter, all of the control, Alt combinations etc. but can’t seen to close it other that saving it and closing. I seem to remember some keystroke function that would close it.
Help please!!

I did not find it in the online help, but when you use the 'Selection' menu, you have the option to deselect, and the shortcut Ctrl D is mentionned there.

No, it shouldn't be necessary; and Apple is touting that quitting an app is no longer necessary - but, that is simply too engrained in my brain, so I will still quit. In any case, try this to learn about the other new feature: in pages, open a doc, type one word. Save it. Open it and add one word; close it. Open again, add another, close it. Now, next time you open it, click to the right of the title at the top of the doc. An arrow will show up and you'll see this:
click on browse all versions and you should see them all.....

Functionality of close and save in a popup dialogue

On pressing enter or the enter icon I need some functionality.
And on clicking the close icon or close(on the dialogue window) i need to exit.
How to add functionality to close and enter?

Currently, Session Manager supports the following instrument session types:
IVI Sessions—Use an IVI session to obtain the C-based instance handle for an IVI logical or virtual instrument name. NI Session Manager does not support IVI-COM drivers at this time. When IVI-COM drivers are available, you can use an IVI session to obtain an ActiveX interface reference to an IVI-COM driver.
VXIplug&play Sessions—Use a VXIplug&play session to obtain a C-based instance handle for a VXIplug&play logical or virtual instrument name. Configure VXIplug&play names in the <VXIplug&play directory>\<Platform directory>\NISessionMgr.ini file.
VISA Sessions—Use a VISA instrument session to obtain a C-based viSession handle to a VISA resource or logical name. Configure VISA logical names in the <VXIplug&play directory>\<Platform directory>\NISessionMgr.ini file.
Custom Sessions—Use a custom session to create a data container object that shares ActiveX objects you create or other data between software components you write. Use the Attach and Get methods to attach data to and retrieve data from a session. A custom session does not initialize, close, or own an instrument handle. The data you share with a custom session does not have to be instrumentation related. You can create a custom session with any name you request.

IPhoto takes FOREVER to open/close and slooooows system down

PLEASE HELP ME! I love my Mac, and used to love iPhoto - but now it takes several MINUTES (over 5 at times) to open, slows my whole system down to pre-286, and can take over 10 minutes to close freezing the system. My only 'get around' has been to delete the /user/library/preferences/com.apple.iPhoto.plist EVERY SINGLE TIME i open iPhoto and to FORCE QUIT every time i quit. I use photos EVERY DAY and NEED iPhoto to work again.
WHAT DO I DO??? Can i Download and reinstall?
I've read other posts on the topic and don't find any help.
I have 1GB of memory, and I do have near 15,000 images, but that shouldn't be the problem. I need to be able to keep adding more images.
Is there another program for Mac for archiving photos so you can browse, and I'll just use iPhoto for current projects, but that would STICK...
Please help me, I NEED iPhoto to work smoothly again, it is too much what i need every day, and was the #1 reason I switched to Mac a year ago, and now it is ruining my day every day. HELP!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. iPhoto has been advertiesd with up to 25,000 photos. Yes you can have multiple libraries. iPhoto Buddy and iPhoto Library Manager are applications that let the user move between multiple libraries with relative ease and speed. iPhoto Library Manager (the paid version) also has the capability of moving photos between libraries while maintaining keywords, album and roll information.
How much free space do you have on your HD?
First try running Disk Utility and repair disk permissions. Then, if necessary, make a duplicate of your current iPhoto Library folder (select it and type Command-D) and launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select the first three options. If the rebuild goes as intended you can trash the duplicate.
Once you get the library back up and running satisfactorily you can subdivide it into sub libraries by making a duplicate of the good library and then open it with iPhoto. Now delete all the photos except those you want in that library. Now make another duplicate and repeat the previous steps. Repeat until you have the sub-libraries that you want and then you can delete the full one.

Once I have synced my Google calendar to iCal, can I turn off syncing and save all info in iCal?

I have been using Google Calendar, and syncing info from it to my Mac, iPad and iPhone. Now that all the info I originally entered into Google Calendar is on my Apple devices, can I turn off syncing it and save all the events, birthdays, etc. that were put into iCal up to this point? I have only been adding to my iCal via the Mac, iPad or iPhone for several months now, so it seems silly to keep using Google Calendar.

Unless you have backed up your iCal data, there is no way to retrieve the now missing data. To easily back up your calendar data, simply choose the Back up Database… option under the File menu in iCal.
Microsoft cautions users that deletion of the Entourage calendar in iCal—without first disabling the synchronization function with Entourage—will result in exactly the outcome you see.
If you have not subsequently synchronized with .Mac since you deleted the iCal calendar, you can selectively restore calendar files as a collection of calendars from .Mac by using the Reset Sync Data… option in the .Mac preference pane by launching System Preferences, pressing the .Mac icon then the Advanced tab, and waiting for your client list to update. Once you've done that, press the Reset Sync Data… button, choose Calendars from the drop down menu and pick the option to replace the data on your Macintosh with data stored on the .Mac servers.

Open write and save a txt file

i'm trying make a vi to open and write in a txt file
my level of LabView is very basic and, i'm looking for help for open (or create) a txt file in a specfication folder, write a value and save this file in a another folder

you are not closing the the file in use, that is why you get the messege and your string format....
