Track the Performance of Events in Page

Hi All,
I am using Apex version 4.1 and Oracle DB 11g.
Can anyone please suggest me, how can I track the run time of the process or Dynamic action or any other event on the page that runs on page load.

To track activity in the browser, use the Profiler tools in decent browsers like Safari and Chrome, and Firefox+Firebug.

How to Increase the performance in loading a page

I am developing E-mail application. In that we r using JSP for view. In E-mail application the compose page will be loading with little bit time. In this compose JSP, just To, CC,BCC, and Subject textboxes are using for Content TextArea using. In this page "To" has the link, when i click on "To" link contacts(Addresses) will be open with in the same page with another JSP throw Ajax. Means, In Compose page we r calling the contact's JSP page throw Ajax. In this case, Initially when i click on Compose page these contacts will be loading. that's why it takes time when i open the compose page. Is there any solutions to improve the performance. (for loading the page with less time) ??

Cache you contacts data for example. there are plenty of cache solutions for JSP. Check out [Cache taglibs|http://www.servletsuite.com/jsp3.htm] in Coldtags suite for example

How to track the users password at insert page??

Hi all,
I need to create an interface, which allow users to upload some medical sequences into databse, also I need to alow the sequences's own to modify their input , in case they mske some mistake. now I need to deal with the following conditions.
1) Since the sequence's own need to take respone for their on sequence.
2)The interface has field call author,
3) before their do search edit or input , download , they need to log in the web set, any every one sure has their union password.
SO is that possible for me to get the log in password and check usere A is A to
avoid some one acciden or in poporse to use other s name to input or modify the sequence files in database .

hmm your problem seems to be a beginners problem?
well there are two points to help u accomplish ur aim.
1.the database tabel or users
2. the users username (which should be a primary key in the table)
now this is the flow.....
when the user logs in using the web login page u will create u check 4 his username and password existence in the database table for users,if it exist you direct him to the welcome page where he will have options of editing ,downloading,uploading,e.t.c
so when loading this page u put this authenticated username and password i the "session" object and make sure all ur pages are session enabled. now if thge user selects edit when loading the edit page u will use the user name in the session to get his correspondin record which will b from the database table of record in which the username should be foreignkey to now likewise u can do the same for the download ,upload,e.tc pages.

Hi Gaurav,
I followed your instruction and all it does is display the pages as "tabs" horizontally on the page. What I actually want is a Side bar on the left hand region exactly like the instructions and example in the Framework developers guide. The set up for a sidebar (according to the developers guide) is much more involved as I posted in my first message above.
An example of a side navbar in e-Business suite can be found under Functional Administrator responsibility > Personalization tab > Import/Export.
I have looked at the menu definitions for this page/function, and I've also had a look in the Page XML but I cannot replicate it with my custom page. The setup used for that example page also does not conform to the OAF developers guide instructions.
So again in the absence of any useable examples in eBusiness Suite I'm rather stuck with the OAF developer's guide so any tips would be gratefully accepted.

What are the options for integrating the event catalog and event landing pages in our website?

We'd like to integrate the event catalog and event landing pages into our website but would prefer not to use the standard iframe embed code. Are there other solutions available, like an API or something else?
Reason for this is that when we tried it with the iframe embed code the event catalog seems to load quite slow in a webpage on our website. Plus it seems we can't change the width and height of the event catalog with the CQ5 editor, or have the event catalog embed dynamically change in size depending on the amount of events in the catalog.

Keeping everything in one scene is the better way to go. Scenes are useful for animators who do not use navigation, they just make movies that play frame after frame without stopping. But for anything that involves navigating the timeline you will have less headaches if you just avoid them and keep everything in the one main timeline.
There are primarily two approaches to implementing pages in a timeline. Either spread them out along the timeline and navigate from frame to frame to access them, or create them as movieclips (all in the same frame) and manage their visibility. The latter approach makes it easier to maintain the status of a one page if navigating to another is necessary. And you might find it useful to mix these two approaches at times.
When you have everything on one timeline, you can have a layer dedicated to actionscript that you extend the full length of the timeline, which makes shareable code, such as variables and functions, available to anything along the timeline. This avoids any need to have duplicate function definitions since you can have the same single function available to multiple pages in the site. I usually use two actions layers... one for the shared stuff which has all code in frame 1 only, and another for frame specific code such as timeline commands and other action coding that needs to happen at particular frames.

Why in the world would Apple make the track pad LESS useful in OS Lion? I hate that I can't g back to the top of a web page with a singe swipe. And of course all the other gestures are totally reversed. IMHO, this was not an imporvement.

Go to System Preferences > Trackpad > Scroll & Zoom, and uncheck Scroll direction: Natural.

Issue Tracker app closing the browser window on chart page

Hi!
I am walking through the Issue tracker tutorial. I have created page 10 (Issues Resolved by Month) which is the chart page. Everything looked fine until I try to run the page. Then it simply closed the browser window after it authenticates me. Anyone else see this? Any ideas?

Probably a problem with your SVG viewer installation. Does it happen on other chart pages as well? What browser/svg viewer version combination are you using? There are some known issues with what's labeled as the current svg viewer on Adobe's website and Firefox.

Getting 2nd TIO of the PCI6602 to perform buffered event counting via register-level programming

I got the first PCI6602 TIO to perform buffer event counting using interrupt. However, I could not get the second TIO working. I think I have initialized the proper registers in order to work with the second TIO, i.e.
1. Addressing all registers of the second TIO at 0x800 offset.
2. Binding the clock to counter 4-7 (set 0x00200000 to the Clock Configuration register). I am using the internal Timebase_3 clock which is 80MHz.
3. Tried setting 0x8000 to the Global Interrupt Control register at both its offset location (with 0 offset) and with 0x800 offset (2nd TIO offset location).
Am I missing something here? I got no interrupts from the PCI bus and I got 0xff
ff when I tried to read the Status register.

I have been experimenting with the 6602, but I have not been able to see any of the interrupts generated by the counters. I have tried both TC mode and an external signal on a single GATE (G0). The Gi_Status_Register indicates that the interrupts are occuring (appropriately for each mode), but I can't see them on the bus (my interrupt handler is never invoked; cat /proc/interrupts shows 0 interrupts).
Could you pass along any tips on how you did it?

Get the performance data on to DCNM Web client summary page

Dear all,
Objective: To show my Nexus swicthes performance on DCNM summary web page.
I had install full evaluation package of DCNM 6.2 Server SAN, LAN. This installtion is for my PoC on 2x Nexus swiches.
I was able to login to the web browser and on the summary page, i dont see any performance on CPU, SAN Host Port, SAN Storage Port.
I did read up and created Flows on my Nexus swicthes. But still no performance shows in DCNM page.
At the DCNM web, Admin/Status, i tried to click Start button on Performance Collector but failed.
Hope someone help me to get the performance status shown on my DCNM page.
Note: I am very confuse on the Performance subject.

We have faced a similar issue , Oracle have recommended to install the following process to fix this issue ..
Steps involved :
Necessary roles for FDM Web on Windows 2008
The first step is to launch the Windows 2008 Server Manager as Shown. Click the "Add Roles" link.
The first role necessary for the FDM Web Server to function is the Application Server Role
Selecting this role returns a message box alerting you that additional features are required for installation of the role. Click the Add Required Features Button.
The second required role is the Web Server (IIS) Role which installs the IIS components.
The next screen is an Introduction to the Application Server Role. Click Next to continue.
The Application Server Foundation is selected by default. The Web Server (IIS) Support Role Service is also required.
Choose to add the Required Role Services
The next screen is an Introduction to the Web Server (IIS) Role. Click Next.
All default selected options should be checked along with the "IIS 6 Management Compatibility" option which will install the IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility required for FDM.
Review all selected options and click "Install" to install the components.
Installation is Successful. Click Close to finish.

How can we track the entire event in which the form mode gets changed?

If the form is in OK Mode and if the user edits any field(Including UDF Window Fields). form mode changes to Update...So at that time, how can we track the entire event in which the form mode gets changed?

You could get the form mode by FormMode Property in ItemEvent Object in UI API.

How to track the URL that comes from a referred page using XSQL Custom Handler

Hi,
I have a cold fusion page(say cf.cfm) that sent a request to xsql page(say test.xsql) and then xsql page displays results. I want to capure the URL of cf.cfm page and then after checking its host name and path name for correctness then want to display the test.xsql results.
Please let me know how can I capture URL of the refered page(cf.cfm) in the Custom Handler and then I want to extract host-name and path-name out of that url and on the basis of their values I want to display the result of XSQL page(test.xsql).

I have created 2 reports in the page and the time that is taken to load this page is very huge.
To speed up the performance materialized views were used on queries, but still the performance is the same.
checked the app in DEBUG mode, the following event takes a lot of time to execute:
0.08415 4.76698 rows loop: 15 row(s) the query onky takes very less time to execute
0.08184 0.00181

Check query performance very carefully. If you execute the SQL more than once in a short amount of time the data will be in memory and accessed more quickly. It is possible that your fast response time was against cached data and therefore faster. If this is the case further tuning the SQL (the MV query) may help.
It is also possible the slowness is due to other factors - network, firewall, antivirus software, etc. I am running Apex on my laptop using the embedded pl/sql gateway and due to antivirus and security software it can take pages 30 seconds or more to load.

Please give me some suggestions as to how to improve the performance of adobe form?
Right now when I' am doing user events it is working fine for first 6 or 7 user events. From the next
one it is hanging.
I read about Wizard form design approach, how to use the same here.

Hi Otto,
The form is created using HCM forms and processes. I' am performing user events in the form.
User events will doa round trip, in which form data will be sent to backend SAP system. Processing will
happen on the ABAP side and result will appear on the form. First 6 or 7 user events works correctly,
the result is appearing on the form. Around 8 or 9th one, the wait symbol appears and the form is not
re-rendered. The form is of size 6 pages. The issue is not coming with form of size 1 page.
I was reading ways to improve performance during re-rendering given below.

It talks about wizard form design approach. But in SFP transaction, I am not seeing any kind of wizard.
